#hiroyuki sanada#hong chen#the promise (2005)#gif#goofy ass movie. but the costumes are SO fucking good#apparently the budget for this movie was bonkers and i think it all went to the costumes. because it didn't go to the writers LMAO#no but it was fun. it was silly but it was entertaining. that armor is so intricate and i love it#the black cloak?? all of the main villain uh. wuhuan's outfits?? slap#the goddess's vibe? impeccable. i fuck with the aesthetics of this movie hard#they should've leaned more into the camp. only the guy who played wuhuan i think got that this movie wasn't serious. it's gotta be campy#his performance was great tho. 10/10#but of course. i mean. i AM looking at my old man#bro they fuckign hung him from a tree....#stupid ass ugly ass mustache. i hate that i like it
