i lied i watched 3 more episodes and i can confirm that while aspects of this show are a genuine delight it is also corrosive 2 the mind and spirit and i will not be continuing 2 watch it thank u for joining me on this journey. @ mr crawford please be in better projects my guy

#its like. the casual cruelty in this show with absolutely zero emotional catharsis is just. fascinating#they do the marvel thing where everything is played off for laughs except that the dude who wants to die is not really laughing here#they have his partner be so ???? cruel? to him? on a regular basis? and then it's like ''yeah but it's a funny haha show so it's fine''#its just. it's just fucking fascinating#because if they were doing 100% funny lighthearted stuff then the way they treat this guy would work and be funny#haha he's a mess he's impulsive he tells your kids the pot is the only good thing abt living in california. disaster bastard 10/10#except they keep showing this dude actively wanting to die after losing his wife and kid#and have his partner be like "haha you'd be a terrible parent. OH SHIT SORRY DUDE I FORGOT''#''wow you know wives can really die at any moment right that's so crazy OH SHIT SORRY DUDE I FORGOT''#partner's kid calls crawford to drive him home from a bad neighbourhood because he's worried his dad'll freak out at him#& crawford drops him off like ''you need to tell your parents''. the kids mom is home. she knows who dropped him off. they maybe chatted#wife calls partner and is like ''crawford just dropped the kid off and—''#and partner's like. ''ill call u back'' and walks up to crawford like YOU DONT CARE ABOUT MY SONS SAFETY YOU DON'T GET IT#BECAUSE YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOVE IN THIS WORLD EXCEPT FOR YOURSELF (bc ur wife and kid are dead and died) STAY AWAY FROM MY FAMILY#and crawford's like ''jesus dude. maybe this kind of atrocious shit is why your kid doesn't feel safe coming 2 u in crisis''#and partner punches him in the face#and then the boss can't force partner to apologize so they sit down with crawford's therapist who's like ''let's mutually apologize''#and crawford does. very genuinely. and says he appreciates him. very genuinely#and partner's like ''yeah i guess you're not terrible all of the time'' and does not apologize for decking this dude & cracking 2 teeth#and then the shows like OK DONE WE DID IT KIDS. RESOLUTION. GOOFY BRO VIBES SITCOM TUNES 10/10 RESOLVED#shocked i haven't hit tag limit yet. anyway this show is bad and it should feel bad
