Thoughts while watching the YVR 2010 CD replay while I sew:

Teams having super intense/overly dramatic intros then getting one of the weak- ass music tracks.

D/S (🇫🇷) insanely over the top intros (that I swear to god go for more than 30secs)- then also getting weak-ass music (but I’m obsessed with her dress)

C/P (🇨🇦) Paul looking about 10 and Vanessa looking about 30

Hardly anyone actually straightening/turning out legs/ pointing feet on the arabesque curve towards the end

99% of the guys wearing wayyyyyy to many sparkles (ugh 2010’s fashion 🤢)

Scott looking about 12 but eating Tessa alive in their into and ending

Teams death staring the judges but it’s coming off kinda creepy

The speed skater-style entrances when names get announced (seriously what up with that like conserve your energy)

HOW THE FUCK DID THE RUSSIANS GET A HIGHER SCORE THAN VM SERIOUSLY THEY WERE AKWARD AF

Cringing on 99% of the helicopter turns

Anytime I see a team wearing gloves I just think ‘VM don’t like to wear gloves they like to feel each other’s bare hands’

I’ve lost track of how many different coaches C/L (🇮🇹) had over the years

D/W lack of personality

Teams not knowing when to stop after they finish the second pattern and some of them nearly sliding the whole way across the rink ?? (P/B)

I’m sorry I get that Belbin + Agosto we’re good skaters but they are just waayyy too over the top in the performance department for me it’s really off putting and she doesn’t that’s very good posture (I think coz she’s trying so hard she gets all tense).

‘Maneater’ playing in between skaters while waiting for scores and thinking about the fact that VM had no choice in performing that but still fucking nailing it anyway (making shit chore look amazing and being so committed)

‘Say it right’ playing in the background and thinking about that wall chore

VM saying ‘That was fun’ in unison in the K&C (STOP BEING SO CUTE I SWEAR TO GOD)

Marina saying ‘look how gorgeous Tessa looks’ and Scott saying ‘thank you’ (stop it boy I’m gonna squish you)

Jesus Christ they really need to bring back the CD like half these teams weren’t good anyway so what does that say about senior teams that never did/have done CD’s - like it just goes to show how much you can hide when it’s all your own chore designed to hide weaknesses
