we had our monthly big breakfast at finn's place, made pine needle brigid's crosses, and walked to the river pool to see if the sink hole had et it yet (not yet). it was such a nice morning

fallie and emma are in new orleans having adventures and causing trouble so they didn't get to come this month

i've got a pork butt in the oven closing in on done right now and all of the fixings for tacos ready to go.

i'm reading wind up bird in the couch with boba knowing this world may be a harsh and uncertain place but i am the type of person who puts instant rice pudding in the microwave and sometimes macaroni and cheese comes out so i will just have to see what happens next

i hadn't found any rushes. i guess i need to figure out how to split and bend that river cane

i know there will be an end, at least for this embodied me, but lately that future, the future, the FUTURE, has been feeling further and further away. zeno's lost paradox of time. every moment is half again slower than the one before.

anyway, it's not the worst feeling i've ever had. i have sorrows for the world but also joys and the grace to appreciate both. it's a balance i can live with for now
