8 Wedding Cake Trends
Tumblr media
1. Heart-Shaped Cakes
We can't get enough of this adorable wedding cake trend—and you might have even already spotted it popping up on your social media feeds. Heart-shaped wedding cakes are all about whimsical details and over-the-top embellishments, which you'll love if you're into maximalist style. The Lambeth-inspired cakes, usually decorated in pastel colors like pink, purple, yellow, green or blue, are often topped off with bright red cherries that complete their vintage look. Not sure you want to try this trend for your wedding day? Heart-shaped cakes are just as cute at engagement parties, bridal showers and rehearsal dinners.
Tumblr media
2. Garden Patch Cakes
Tumblr media
Florals for wedding cakes? Groundbreaking. But really—in 2024, fresh flowers will adorn cakes in new ways that evoke a more abstract, organic look than ever before. Instead of meticulously placed clusters of blooms or elaborate flowers cascading down fondant tiers, the concept of this wedding cake trend is to use florals in a way that feels like they sprouted directly out of the cake. It's giving simple cottagecore garden wedding—just add a sweet gingham or checkered tablecloth. Editor's note: Your wedding cake baker and wedding florist can help you choose food-safe flowers, which is important to keep in mind when adding any type of plant or natural element to your cake.
Tumblr media
3. Ribbons and Bows
Tumblr media
Dainty bows are already trending for hair accessories and wedding fashion, and they'll be making their way onto wedding cakes, too. This trend is a throwback to wedding cakes of the early 2000's, and today's version falls perfectly in line with the popular coquette and balletcore aesthetics. Expect to see bows on cakes in all sizes and forms, from actual ribbons to sugar bows made of fondant, meringue or hand-piped icing. Try this pretty idea if you're into understated and timeless details, since you won't need to add many other embellishments (if any) to your cake.
Tumblr media
4. Wavy Piping
Tumblr media
This wedding cake trend is unlike anything we've ever seen before, and we're a little obsessed. Wavy piping, ruffled buttercream and squiggly meringue accents are all bringing unique dimension to wedding cakes. The basket weave piping technique with a wavy look around the circumference of the cake stemmed from the inspiration of 1920s women's hair styles—the short bobs with their finger waves. I love the sensual and feminine look it adds, but how it also creates depth and structure. Each ribbon belt is different to emphasize the individuality of my cakes and to the corresponding client. No two cakes are ever alike.
Tumblr media
5. Textural and Tonal Cakes
Tumblr media
Understated luxury, anyone? Bridging the gap between super-simple wedding cakes and highly detailed creations, monochromatic textured cakes give you the best of both worlds. An all-white color palette tones down the overall look of the cake, but upon closer inspection, the details keep it far from boring.
Tumblr media
6. Extra-Grand Wedding Cakes
Tumblr media
Now that big weddings are back in full swing, the desserts have to be equally as impactful. After all, what's a party without cake? The cake is now center stage again. It's a vital part of decor and getting dressed up more than ever. Extra-tall cakes (think six and seven tiers or more) will tower above dessert tables, creating a focal point at your reception venue and giving you the ultimate cake-cutting photo opportunity. And the cake itself is just the beginning—lavish embellishments and add-ons will take the whole display to the next level. Lots of flowers, not just on the cake, but surrounding the table so that it feels more like a focal art piece than a dessert.
Tumblr media
7. Sheet Cakes
Tumblr media
If you're going the casual route for your wedding day, consider skipping the multi-tier cake for a one-tier sheet cake instead. But if you think this is your average grocery store sheet cake, think again. What makes this wedding cake trend so noteworthy is that the sheet cakes are decorated just as much as (if not more than) vertical cakes, complete with fresh flowers, intricate piping and other decorative techniques. The main difference? Because of their horizontal design, sheet cakes won't need as much structural support—and they're a great option to maximize the amount of cake you can serve at once.
Tumblr media
8. Unique Cake Flavors
Tumblr media
There's always going to be a time and place for classic vanilla sponge cake and buttercream frosting, but you don't have to play it safe on your wedding day. If trusty standbys like chocolate or red velvet just aren't doing it for you, draw inspiration from experimental avant-garde menus and seasonal flavors instead.
I truly believe in keeping things seasonal and I hope that the wedding cake industry can tune in more to this. I believe we will see more focus on seasonality and the use of various grains with a different twist on traditional flavor pairings. Think certain fruit fillings infused with various spices or herbs, such as citrus and coriander, or my all-time favorite and go-to: strawberry and bay leaf jam.

Steve's Favorite Girls
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Trigger warning: nothing that I can think of, just fluff and Steve's daughter just wanting Daddy cuddles.
Summary: Steve and James wants to watch his beloved Yankees play, and his daughter just wants daddy cuddles. Also, the family of four will become a family of five.
It's based on this video here.
It was a typical Sunday at the Rogers household. Breakfast was already made, and you and Steve made pancakes and sausage. Your son James, ate his happily, and even ate his fruit. James was now drawing at the table, and Sarah was making scribbles on paper with her palm crayons.
The Yankees were playing that afternoon, which means you and Sarah get to spend some mother daughter bonding time. It wasn't like at your cousin's bridal shower, where you were trying to keep your daughter entertained and she was bored the entire time. She just wanted to spend time with Steve and her brother, and they got to spend the afternoon swimming, and then watching the boats. Sarah wanted to do that, too. But she had to be at the bridal shower because she was one of the flower girls. Sarah threw a tantrum because she loved swimming, and she loved the beach.
"We'll go later, honey. I know you're bored. I brought you your palm crayons and your coloring book, and your favorite Barbie doll", you said, trying to soothe your toddler. Your daughter perked up at the crayons and coloring book, so you pulled it out. You also brought some books, so you spend the rest of her afternoon reading to her and coloring with her. You realized that it was hard to keep a toddler entertained longer than three minutes at a time, and you had your phone turned off. You did join Steve and James at the beach after the shower, and even let Sarah play in the water for bit. You then went to the hamburger/hot dog stand, and got everyone cheeseburgers and fries for dinner and lemonades to drink, with ice cream cones for dessert.
Tumblr media
"I've already got the subs ordered for you, honey. I'll pick them up when Subway opens," you say, giving Steve a kiss. You and Steve still feel like newlyweds, and you both have been married for six years. Steve gave up going on missions when he found out you were pregnant with James, and three years ago, he took even more of a backseat with the Avengers when he found out your were pregnant with Sarah. He just wanted to enjoy this life that he never had with Peggy, and that he had missed out when he was frozen in the ice. He found that with you when he accidentally bumped into you when you were working at the Avengers tower as Tony's receptionist, and you had to help Tony file paperwork. You were busy trying to make sure that the paperwork was in order, and looking through everything. You weren't paying attention to where you were going, and you ran into Steve. Steve, being the gentlemen he was, stopped to help you.
"It looks like you have ton of papers there," said Steve, as he was helping you pick up the papers.
"Thanks. Can I get you a cup of coffee later?", you ask Steve.
"I haven't seen you here before. Are you new here?", asked Steve.
"I just started here a week ago. I'm still trying to find my around. I feel like this is a huge task, and Tony hasn't introduced me to the Avengers yet," you say.
"I'm Steve. Steve Rogers. I'll take the offer for coffee", said Steve.
"I'm Eva. And I can't wait to see more of you", you said.
From that first meeting, and that first coffee date, you and Steve have been together ever since. A few years ago, on your birthday, Steve had planned a party. He found a room at a nice Italian restaurant. and he rented out the room for the night. He then invited the Avengers, and everyone said something about you. Steve's turn finally came, and at the end, he got down on one knee, and pulled out the small, black velvet box in his pocket. It was his mother's ring, and you said yes. You felt that Sarah was with always with him. You also went home with a lot of gifts, and you felt like a kid again.
Your wedding was a beautiful affair held at a local church. You're an agnostic, but you knew it was important for Steve to have the wedding in a church, seeing as how he was raised Christian. The reception was held in the lake house in Central Park, and it was set up and looked elegant and beautiful. You wore a vintage inspired wedding gown, because it would match your ring better. The sunset behind you, and you're wedding photos were in there. Steve even twirled you around the dance floor during your first dance.
Tumblr media
You and Steve went to Rome for your honeymoon, and you both enjoyed it. You got pregnant on your honeymoon, and you told Steve on his birthday.
"Honey, this just makes our honeymoon and my birthday special", said and excited Steve. His hand went to your stomach.
Tumblr media
Steve was in tears of joy. Everything he ever wanted in life was happening, and was thanks to you. The guy that became unfrozen never lost sight, it was just buried. You explained that when you had to accompany Nick Fury and Maria Hill to the safe house, and since you had been promoted, and now worked more closely with the Avengers, you sometimes had to go on missions with them, and help with their tech and communications. You weren't on the front lines at that point, you worked more behind the scenes, and that suited you just fine. You felt like Jake Jenson from The Losers. You and Steve had become more serious at that point, and he had been wanting to take a backseat for a while. It was after the events of Ultron that Steve started to take more of a backseat, and worked with new recruits. He was still doing paperwork, and helping out on missions at that point, but you and Steve had become even more serious and even bought a house upstate that was close to the compound. Tony lived right across the lake from you.
Tumblr media
It was Sunday, and the Yankees were playing that afternoon. Steve and James wanted to watch the game on TV, which meant you and Sarah had to make yourselves scarce. You would be going to the retirement home that afternoon, so you could help with the Sunday afternoon Bingo, and you often brought along James and Sarah. Steve would come, too, and would visit with Peggy. You didn't mind, Peggy knew about you, she had worked with your Papa at one point, and it was often a family thing. Peggy had met James and Sarah already. While you were busy with Bingo and serving snacks and drinks to the residents, James would often draw and Sarah would often nap in her stroller. The resident's loved James and Sarah.
You told Sarah that it was just going to be you two today, so you planned on having a mother daughter date with Sarah. You told Sarah that the Yankees were playing and that Steve and James needed to spend some father son time together.
"No, no, Daddy's mine today", said Sarah.
"Sarah, Daddy loves the Yankees. They're his favorite team. Daddy and James need to spend time together, too," you explain.
"No, Daddy. I want to Daddy to cuddle me", says, Sarah.
"I know, baby, but it's only for one afternoon. I know you want Daddy cuddles, but you can get Daddy cuddles later," you say.
"No, Yankvess play some other time. Daddy," says Sarah, who is now starting to cry because she just wanted Steve to cuddle her.
This breaks you heart. So, you agree to take Sarah to Barnes and Noble to get a book, and get a toy.
You and Sarah leave the house, and you take her to Starbucks, and get her an apple juice, along with a cake pop. You got a regular coffee with cream and sugar, and you get a chocolate donut. You and Sarah both sit on the patio, and you wait for your friends to arrive. Normally, Steve would watch the kids while you met with your friends for your weekly coffee date, but today, you had no choice but to bring Sarah.
You color with Sarah while you guys wait, and Anne comes first, followed by Sandra, then Jean, then Debbie, and Jenny arrives last. You all sit, and you grab your knitting, you all sit and knit for a while, and talk.
After a few hours, you all say your goodbyes, and go about your afternoon. Sarah is sitting in her stroller, and you walk down to Barnes and Noble, and go into the kids section and you get Sarah a book and a toy. You got a cozy mystery for yourself, too.
Before you pay for the books and leave, you let Sarah play for a bit, and then you guys pay for your books and her toy. You then head to Subway to get the sandwich for Steve and James, and you get a sub for yourself, too. You get a little kids meal for Sarah, and pay for the purchase.
Tumblr media
You and Sarah sit at the table, and eat your lunch. Sarah happily chews on her small sandwich, and you eat your meal. After a while, you and Sarah head off to the retirement home, and Sarah is napping in her car seat.
Tumblr media
You arrive at the retirement home, and Sarah, who usually sleeps the entire time, screams.
"DADDY! DADDY!", Sarah screams. Sarah is upset because all she wants to do is spend time with her daddy.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Steve and James are watching the game. Sam and Tony are over, and so is James' godfather Bucky. The game starts soon, so everyone grabs some of the sub, and sits in their spots.
It was an exciting game, and the Yankees won. It didn't go into extra innings, if it did, you would have gotten a call to stay out longer, which would be impossible with a toddler.
While the boys were bonding and watching the game, you and Sarah were at the retirement home. You were helping Victoria with the Sunday Bingo, and the kitchen staff even gave Sarah a some apple juice, some cookies, and some apple slices to snack on.
After that, you stayed for a bit to talk with the residents, and Sarah was getting antsy. You were even talking with the guitarist from the Monkees, Peter Tork, who wasn't your favorite, but you were friends. He loved it when you brought James and Sarah. Some of the residents were even in your book club, Peter included. You started the book club for the residents. You even introduced Doris to audio books, and it opened a world for her.
Tumblr media
You order some Chinese for dinner, and bring it home.
"Hi, doll. Did you and Sarah have a good time?" asks Steve.
"Sarah and I had a lovely time. She really wanted you, though," you say.
"Hi, Sarah. Are you glad to see me finally?" Steve asks.
"DADDY!" screams Sarah. Sarah runs up to Steve, with her arms out, and Steve picks her up. Sarah is finally getting her Daddy cuddles.
You are busy dishing out the Chinese, when you tell Steve to finish up. Your morning sickness has kicked in right now, and you need to throw up.
"Are you okay, doll? Steve asks, concerned.
Tumblr media
"I am, Steve. In fact, there's going to be some more love in the Rogers household", you say.
You give Steve the positive pregnancy test, which you took several days ago. You had it confirmed on Friday, and were just waiting for the right time to tell Steve. You also give Steve the ultrasound photo.
Tumblr media
Steve kneels down and kisses your stomach.
"I can't wait to meet him or her," says Steve.
"Steve, I'm happy. I always wanted three kids, and it's thanks to you," you say.
"Wait, I'm going to be a big brother again?" asks James.
"You sure are, James," you respond.
"Sarah, did you hear that? You're going to be a big sister," you say.
"No, no. I'm the baby", says Sarah.
You and Steve are cracking up.
"No baby. I'm the baby", says Sarah.
James is now laughing.
"Sarah, you still have a lot to learn about being a big sister," says James.
Dinner is finished, and James and Sarah are watching The Incredibles on the Disney Channel. You talk to your stomach.
"Just wait, little one, you'll be part of the organized chaos, soon," you say.
Steve says, "We can't wait to meet you, little one", and kisses your belly again.
This is was the dream for both you and Steve. Steve couldn't stop smiling.
Tumblr media
You try to snuggle with Steve, but Sarah kept pushing your arm away. You try to hold Steve's hand, but Sarah kept pushing it away. You were not going to get between Sarah and her Daddy cuddles since Sarah had a lot to say about it. Nobody comes between Sarah and Daddy cuddles.
Sarah was basically telling you "Not today Satan" in her own way right now.
Steve starts laughing.

Chapter 8
Jake and MC had been having a wonderful time just the two of them, while MC was in the shower Jake was busy getting breakfast ready. He had something special planned for MC. He stacked the pancakes on the plate along with some bacon. He placed them both on the table and went to get the coffee. Placing two cups down on the table he poured coffee into both cups. He grabbed a bottle of champagne and orange juice and poured them into a jug. When he had finished he poured some into two champagne glasses placing them on the table. He went to grab the maple syrup from the kitchen as he knew how much MC liked it with pancakes.
As he was walking back MC had come out of the bathroom, "something smells amazing" MCs face lit up when she saw what Jake had made for breakfast. "Take a seat I'll be right back" MC sat down while Jake went into the bedroom and pulled out a small red box from his backpack. He walked back to the table and sat down "Jake all this looks amazing and you got my favorite maple syrup"
Jake smiled at MC a warm feeling spreading throughout his body. "MC we have been together now for a while and there is something that I would like to ask you" MC put the syrup down and looked at Jake. He got down on one knee and opened the box "MC will you marry me?" Tears of joy ran down MCs face as she heard the words coming from Jake's mouth. "Yes, yeah I'll marry you Jake" Jake just got the ring on her finger when MC wrapped her arms around his neck.
They both stayed like that for a few moments before getting back up, "you know, the moment I first told you I loved you I knew I wanted to marry you" MCs face started to blush as more years of joy ran down her face. "I love you so much Jake, I can't wait to become Mrs Jake Dillon" MC couldn't take the smile off her face a moment she thought would never happen is coming true. "How about we skip breakfast and eat this later and go straight to the dessert" Jake couldn't help but smile with lust in his eyes he took MC by the hand and went into the bedroom.
There they both remained for most of the day just being in each other's arms, after a while they started to get hungry so MC went to bring in the pancakes and bacon putting everything onto the tray MC carried it into the bedroom. They sat and ate their food talking about the wedding. "I have so many ideas running through my head I'm so excited" Jake sat and listened to all MCs ideas with a smile on his face. "If you wanted we could get you some bridal magazines to give you an idea of what dress you want"
MC turned to Jake with a smile on her face. "I'd love to do that but I also want to stay in bed and thank you some more" Jake's eyes grew lustful as he looked at MC. "Give me 2 minutes baby" Jake grabbed his phone and tapped away on it for a moment before putting it down. "I've just requested the delivery of all the bridal magazines for you. They will arrive later today" before MC could say anything Jake was quick to move the tray out of the way and crashed his lips down onto MCs.
The next morning they had both slept in and were cuddled up to each other. Jake was the first to wake so he went to make some coffee. While he was making the coffee there was a knock at the door. Jake went to answer it and it was a delivery man with MC's bridal magazines "thank you" Jake thanked the delivery man before closing the door. Jake placed the stack of magazines on the table and went to finish making the coffees. He felt his arms wrap around his waist. He turned round and kissed MC on the forehead. "Good morning husband to be" the smile on MC's face was getting bigger by the second. "Good morning my soon to be wife, did you sleep well?" MC snuggled into Jake's chest and smiled. "I did, it was the best night's sleep" Jake lifted MCs chin up and kissed her softly on the lips. "Your bridal magazines have arrived why don't you go look at them and I'll bring you a coffee over"
Jake came back over to the sofa and put down two cups of coffee, he sat down next to MC and looked at her looking at all the pictures in the magazine. "There are so many pretty dresses in this one" MC pointed at all the dresses she loved. After a few more hours of looking through the magazines MC found her dream dress. "Oh wow look at this one Jake, it's perfect" MC realized what she said and closed the magazine. "Hey why did you close it?"
MC put the magazine down and looked at Jake. "Because it's bad look to see the dress, I want it to be a surprise" MC suddenly had a sad expression on her face. Jake took her hand. "Hey baby, what's wrong?" MC looked up at Jake with sadness in her eyes. "The price of the dress is way too much" Jake listed MCs chin with his fingers. "How much does it cost?" MC reached for the magazine and checked the price. "it's nearly £3,000 we can't afford that" Jake just sat and smiled. "If that is your dress then my wife to be will have her dream dress"
MCs sad expression turned from sad to happy after hearing what Jake said, *are you sure baby, it's a lot of money" Jake leaned closer to MC and whispered in her ear. "You're going to look so sexy in your dress I can't wait to marry you" MCs cheeks started to blush. "I love you Jake" Jake looked into MCs eyes seeing so much love in her eyes. "I love you to MC" they both spent the rest of the day just talking about the wedding and what they wanted. MC was going to ask Cleo to make the cake and Jessy to be her maid of honor.
Jake and MC were now back at home after having an amazing time away, they hadn't told the others yet they had arranged for them to come round later that night. Later that night everyone had arrived at Jake and MCs apartment. Jessy could sense there was a big announcement coming. "So guys we asked you all here to tell you that Jake has asked me to marry him" Jessy screamed with excitement and gave MC a massive hug. "I'm so happy for you both" Jessy let go as she had happy tears escaping her eyes. "Congratulations Jake I've never seen her this happy" Jake smiled at Dan giving him a reassuring look. "Thanks Dan that means a lot" Cleo came over and hugged Jake and MC "congratulations to you both you both deserve to be happy" Jake and MC looked into each other's eyes and shared a kiss.
"There are a couple more things Jessy will you be my maid of honor?" More excitement left Jessy's mouth "it will be an honor" MC smiled and hugged her best friend. "Cleo me and MC would love it if you would make the wedding cake" Cleo's eyes widened. She wasn't expecting them to ask and it was a massive honor. "I'd love to thank you guys"
They all celebrated into the night having such a wonderful time after everyone had left MC started to clean up when Jake wrapped his strong arms around her waist. "You have been driving me crazy all night in that dress" MC let out a giggle as she turned round and faced Jake. "Oh you mean like this for instance" MC lifted up part of her dress revealing part of her thighs. "Right that's it I can't take it anymore" Jake grabbed MCs hand and took her into the bedroom. A giggle could be heard coming from MCs mouth as she knew how much the dress she was wearing drove Jake crazy. She had to admit that she did pick it out on purpose to drive Jake crazy.
The next morning Jake and MC started their day off with coffee and breakfast, they still had a couple more days off before they had to go back to work. "Jake, have you thought about a date for the wedding?" Jake looked at MC who was drinking her coffee. "We could have a summer wedding on the 15th June" MC looked at Jake putting her coffee down. She knew that day and date. "Jake that's the first day we met" tears escaping from MCs eyes she wrapped her arms around Jake and kissed him softly on the lips.

How to Plan a Couples Shower
Tumblr media
A couples shower is a pre-wedding celebration where both the bride and groom are honored by their friends and family. Unlike a traditional bridal shower, which is usually attended by women only, a couples shower is open to guests of all genders and ages. Planning a couples shower can be a fun and creative way to celebrate the happy couple and their upcoming nuptials. Here are some steps to help you plan a successful couples shower: - Choose a theme. A theme can help you set the tone and style of the shower, as well as make it easier to choose invitations, decorations, food, games and favors. You can choose a theme that reflects the couple's interests, hobbies, personalities or wedding plans. For example, you can have a travel-themed shower if the couple loves to explore new places, or a garden-themed shower if they are having an outdoor wedding. - Set a date and time. Ideally, you should plan the shower about two to four months before the wedding, so that it doesn't conflict with other pre-wedding events or stress the couple out too much. You should also consult with the couple and their close family members to find a date and time that works for everyone. A couples shower can be held at any time of the day, depending on the theme and mood you want to create. For example, you can have a brunch shower in the morning, a cocktail party in the evening, or a barbecue in the afternoon. - Make a guest list. A couples shower is usually more casual and inclusive than a bridal shower, so you can invite anyone who is close to the couple or who will be attending the wedding. However, you should still check with the couple before sending out invitations, to make sure you don't leave anyone out or invite someone they don't want to see. You should also consider the size and budget of the shower, and limit the guest list accordingly. - Send out invitations. Once you have finalized the guest list, you should send out invitations about four to six weeks before the shower. You can choose invitations that match the theme and color scheme of the shower, or use online platforms like email or social media to invite guests. You should include all the essential information on the invitations, such as the date, time, location, theme, RSVP details and gift registry information (if applicable). - Plan the menu and drinks. Depending on the theme and time of the shower, you can serve different types of food and drinks to suit the occasion. You can either cater the food from a restaurant or prepare it yourself, or ask guests to bring a dish to share (potluck style). You should also provide a variety of drinks, such as water, juice, soda, coffee, tea, wine, beer and cocktails. You can also have a cake or cupcakes for dessert, decorated with the couple's names or initials. - Decorate the venue. You can use various items to decorate the venue and create a festive atmosphere for the shower. You can use balloons, banners, streamers, flowers, candles, lanterns, photos and other props that match the theme and color scheme of the shower. You can also set up a table for gifts and cards, and a table for favors (if you are giving them out). - Plan some games and activities. Games and activities can help break the ice and entertain guests at the shower. You can choose games that are fun, interactive and appropriate for guests of all ages and genders. For example, you can have trivia games about the couple's relationship history or preferences, bingo games with wedding-related words or phrases, guessing games with items from the couple's registry or personal belongings, or scavenger hunts with clues hidden around the venue. You can also have some activities that are creative and memorable, such as making a scrapbook with photos and messages from guests for the couple, or having guests write their best wishes or advice for the couple on cards or stones. - Thank the guests and send them off with favors. At the end of the shower, you should thank all the guests for coming and for their gifts and participation. You should also give them favors as a token of appreciation and a reminder of the shower. Favors can be anything that is related to the theme or meaningful to the couple, such as candles, magnets, keychains, coasters or candy. #WeddingPlanning #WeddingDirectory #WeddingTips #Weddings #unitytheweddingdirectory #unity #weddingdirectory #weddingplanner #weddinginspiration #weddingideas #couplesshower Read the full article

Bridal Shower Theme Ideas to Inspire Your Perfect Celebration
Tumblr media
If you're in charge of planning and hosting a bridal shower, chances are you've been giving possible themes a great deal of thought. This is a party the bride-to-be will remember for the rest of her life, so it makes sense that you want it to be both unforgettable and special. So, how do you throw a bridal shower to remember? Ultimately, your goal should be to plan a party that's reflective of the guest of honor while also pleasing a multi-generational crowd.
Doing so ultimately begins with choosing the right theme. While there's no rule that says you need a theme, having one helps inspire your color palette, décor, games, food, and more. So, if you need inspiration, let these perfect bridal shower theme ideas get your wheels turning.
Champagne Brunch
Tumblr media
Your guests will be lining up to say "I do" to a waffle bar and sparkling mimosa station. Serve up beautiful bowls of fruit, fresh pastries, and plenty of chilled champagne.
Nautical Affair
Tumblr media
Whether the bride and her shipmates are staying dry on land or heading out on a yacht, you can pull off a nautical bridal shower theme with navy blue hues, stripes, anchors, ship wheels, and sailor's hats. Make sure to add Bobby Darin's "Beyond the Sea" to the playlist.
Beach Bonanza
Tumblr media
Like a nautical bridal shower, a beach bridal shower has coastal vibes—but this one is all about sand and sunshine. Create a color palette with aquamarine hues and incorporate seashells and starfish.
Black-Tie Glitter and Glitz
Tumblr media
For the bride who loves dressing to the nines, invite guests to get dolled up in their fanciest outfits. Decorate with anything sparkly and glittery, and score definite bonus points if there's a chandelier involved.
Backyard Bliss
Tumblr media
Paradise awaits in your own backyard. Transform an outdoor space into a cheerful and relaxed setting for a casual bridal shower. Incorporate fun floral arrangements, twinkle lights, and traditional picnic food. Plus—this is the perfect excuse to give your backyard a makeover.
Tea Party
Tumblr media
For the girl who loves all things floral, delicious, and dainty, you should definitely consider a bridal tea party. You can keep it classically British or switch it up with a Mad Hatter theme. Either way, serve a refreshing assortment of artisanal tea, scrumptious scones, and tasty cucumber sandwiches.
Paris Romance
Tumblr media
Celebrate love with a shower that pays homage to the city of light and love. Incorporate the Eiffel Tower into the decorations and serve up French wines, cheeses, and desserts. The final touch? Press play on an Édith Piaf recording.
All-White Bridal Shower
Tumblr media
The day is fast approaching where the bride is going to wear all white. Get in the spirit with an all-white shower.
Gatsby Bridal Shower
Tumblr media
Throw a bridal fête fit for Daisy Buchanan with flapper dresses and feathered headbands. Serve up classic Prohibition cocktails like sidecars (made of cognac, triple sec, and lemon juice) and Gin Rickeys (a combo of gin, lime juice, and seltzer).
Glam Pajama Party
Tumblr media
Remember how much fun slumber parties were as a little girl? It'll be an awesome girls' night in, complete with pizza, drinks, candy, games, and a movie (we're thinking Bridesmaids). You can host this at your own home or up the ante and reserve a suite at a hotel for the ultimate chill out session, with the option of spa access to boot (and you won't be the one cleaning up popcorn the next day).
Shabby-Chic
Tumblr media
Channel romantically rustic vibes with delicately distressed décor, tea served in mason jars, hand-drawn signage, and baby's breath centerpieces. Add some homemade treats (pie would be oh-so perfect) for a personal touch. You can include the bridesmaids or the whole guest list by inviting everyone to bring their favorite desserts à la a potluck dessert table.
Love Is Sweet
Tumblr media
Love is sweet and the bridal shower will be, too. A candy-centered bridal shower lends itself to bright, colorful decorations. Bring on the dessert bar filled with candy and treats. Remember to have some sugar-free candy for any guests with food sensitivities. You can also get customized M&M's in the bride's wedding colors, with her name, or "I Do," or whatever you choose—even an image of the bride (or her spouse-to-be).
Country Chic
Tumblr media
For a country-lovin' bride, ask guests to don their cutest cowgirl attire and decorate your space with hay bales, horses, and horseshoes.
Coed Jack and Jill Shower
Tumblr media
Who says a bridal shower has to be ladies only? Some couples want to do every wedding activity together, right down to the bridal shower, and there's nothing wrong with that. Make it a coed affair with a Jack and Jill shower. The more the merrier, right?

One delightful and versatile option to achieve this is through the use of beautiful balloon decorations. From elegant arches to whimsical centerpieces, balloons can transform any venue into a celebration filled with joy and excitement. In this article, we will explore how balloon decorations can enhance the bride-to-be decoration and bridal shower decoration, adding a touch of magic to these special moments.
Bride-to-Be Decoration: Elevating the Celebration When it comes to celebrating the bride-to-be, balloon decorations offer endless possibilities. Start by creating an eye-catching entrance with an exquisite balloon arch, adorned with the bride's favorite colors or flowers. This stunning feature will immediately set the tone for the celebration and serve as a memorable backdrop for photographs. To further enhance the bride-to-be decoration, consider incorporating elegant balloon bouquets placed strategically around the venue. These colorful arrangements will add a sense of festivity and create a joyful ambiance for the guests.
Bridal Shower Decoration: Whimsical Delights Bridal showers are an occasion to honor the bride-to-be and shower her with love and well wishes. Balloon decorations can play a key role in creating a whimsical and playful atmosphere for this special gathering. Additionally, balloon installations in the shape of engagement rings, hearts, or other meaningful symbols can be used as eye-catching focal points. These personalized balloon accents will make the celebration even more memorable and show the bride-to-be how much she is loved and cherished.

He walked back to the table and sat down "Jake all this looks amazing and you got my favorite maple syrup" Jake smiled at MC a warm feeling spreading throughout his body.
"If you wanted we could get you some bridal magazines to give you an idea of what dress you want" MC turned to Jake with a smile on her face.
"Hey why did you close it?" MC put the magazine down and looked at Jake.
