Old lady comes and sits next to me at church today, asks where "my man" is. Convinced I didn't hear her correctly, I ask her to repeat and she clarifies, "Your man! Your fiancé! Where is he?"

Confused, I tell her I don't have one and she looks at me utterly flabbergasted, says she could've sworn I was engaged. My mind is reeling at this point, wondering where on earth this lady possibly could've gotten that idea.

Then I realized.

My brother. My brother, who sat next to me every week for a long time but has now left to return to his out-of-state school.

She mistook my brother for my fiancé 💀💀💀
