Saw online some people declaring that audiobooks count towards your overall reading goal and was like um yeah? why wouldn't they? Is anyone even saying they don't or is this just something people are making up to stir drama? But nope bc I just scrolled into some people actually arguing that you can only count audiobooks into a "book count" list (not a thing on any book app lol) and that counting it in your reading goal for the year is bad????
#Anyways not to tout Storygraph again but if you want to keep track of books you've listened to on audiobooks and books you read physically#you can on there#both still count towards overall reading goal as far as I am aware tho so there's no separate list as far as I am aware#but tbf#I haven't used the audio book option so I can't confirm#Also for my opinion on this the only things you can't count towards your reading goal would be#books you mostly skim read and only read the dialogue of just to say you read the book#and audiobooks listened to on 3x (tbh 2x as well but I think as long as you weren't multitasking then I'd believe you understood whats said
