What are your absolute favorite Sastiel headcanons? :)

Absolute favorite headcanons for Sastiel? How much time do you have to spare?

I'll just list the first ones off the top of my head (the ones that are always on my mind) otherwise we'll be here with a full-on one hundred-page document or something. (I know it says absolute but once I like a headcanon I love it.)

Also, some of these come from or are inspired by friends. Mostly @ethereal-enthusiast I recommend asking them as well because they have such great headcanons that they grace me with. (I am very grateful for their headcanons even if they usually *always* end in angst.)

1. Ace Sastiel. I do love the posts about the belt scene but ace Sastiel just tops it in my mind and this is a hill I'll die on. I always write ace Sastiel, there is one story where they're not. It fits them very well in my opinion.

2. Castiel plays with Sam's hair to help Sam rest and if it's something that Castiel does at any opportunity they can well then that's just a bonus.

3. As well as ace Sastiel, nonbinary Sastiel lives rent-free in my head. I mostly write they/them for Castiel but I do think of they/he for Sam a lot. I just haven't incorporated it into my writing yet.

4. Castiel brings Sam's powers to the forefront and it was like this static when they first met because they were fighting each other's energies but over time they intertwined. I haven't shared this one yet, but I love it dearly.

5. The two always are touching in some way when they're around each other. Whether their knees are touching or holding hands, or even Castiel holding Sam with his wings, they're touching. It grounds them both.

6. They try to do quick kisses running past each other having to do something urgently but they always end up looping around to each other for a proper kiss.

7. They go on solo dates when they can but look forward to the times where they can take Jack with them and let Jack have a day to be a kid. It's always a surprise to Jack since they never tell him just in case something comes up. It's definitely worth the effort with the way Jack's eyes light up.

8. They have a mantra that is spoken in both English and Enochian that grounds them when they think they're somewhere else. At first, it was just for Sam but it was clear that Castiel needed it just as much.

9. Castiel has helped Sam with some of his powers, it's obvious that Sam using them isn't going to turn him evil. Sam just wanted to nail down telekinesis and it's used for getting books off the shelf and tug of war games. Also changing his eye colors is a fun game he does with Castiel and Jack.

10. Castiel never lets Jimmy's clothes stray too far away but finds the same comfort in Sam's clothes. Castiel only wears them around Sam and Jack because they're the people Castiel feels the safest around.

11. They watch a lot of tv together mostly random things on Netflix Cas finds fascinating or some documentary Sam found that the two find fascinating.

12. They don't talk in full sentences or even at all sometimes, they just know what each other are thinking which is great when it's just them but when someone else is part of the conversation that person is left feeling like they missed a chapter or two.
