actually. rant abt the bsd anime in the tags
rant abt the bsd dub in the tags (both good and bad)
#mostly bad.#first issue i have is the style#bones usually doesn't have an issue with adapting different styles (like mha and mp100)#and while im sure harukawa's style is difficult to replicate i feel like they could have at least made an attempt??#instead of just. giving it the Generic Anime Style#i wouldn't even have much of a problem with that if they actually took it seriously though#they choose the worst angles and expressions to give to the characters and it makes the whole thing look kinda ugly#especially with fyodor. you can tell they REALLY don't like him because most of the time it's like they don't even try#like it's fine if they don't want to animate it. i just wish they'd give up or let some other studio take over#also they take out little bits of characters designs and it pisses me off#like where are sigma's heels and their sparkly coat. where is chuuya's hat chain. where is atsushi's black hair streak.#the atsushi one especially gets me like thats the MAIN CHARACTER#also this one is very petty but i wish they had blended out jouno's hair a little??#bc now it just looks like someone went in and outlined it with a red marker#i get why they had to change the colour of the hunting dogs uniforms but i really wish it wasnt red#just because 1. two of them have red hair and it clashes SO bad#and 2. the whole constant sunset thing they have going on in s4 is pretty!! but#it's a lot of red. and characters should stand out more!!!#instead they just kinda blend in with the background#imo grey uniforms would have been a LOT better#maybe not black because again the whole season was dark (visually) and that wouldnt do much to help them stand out#but a dark grey or navy blue would be nice!! light enough to stand out but still looking like a military-esque uniform#moving on from that. the PACING. is SO bad.#first of all what the hell did they do w dazai's entrance exam. WHY was atsushi there.#i don't hate their light novel adaptations at the start of each season but sometimes they can do it.......poorly#i think dark era and fifteen and untold origins were really good though!!#i especially love what they did w colour in untold origins#HOWEVER im worried that with the way things are going they're going to try to cram stormbringer into 3-4 episodes#which isn't going to work. at all.#it has a LOT of content that i feel would fit best into a movie
