What is Shabby Chic?

Hello Gossipers! How are you today?

We’ve been noticing that a style in particular has been up and rising! It’s called “Shabby Chic.” It’s started off with a girl named Brookie Yancey. She started getting popular on the app Tiktok with her makeup looks, her fashion style, and most importantly how soft spoken she was. People loved it! Then we found Layla Blue! She has gained A LOT of popularity on the app Tiktok recently for her hair, makeup, and most importantly her style and aesthetic. People have been recreating her makeup as it is natural and has a beautiful soft touch of blush on the face. Her outfits are so cute and give such a vintage vibe. We love it! Let’s see how YOU can achieve the Shabby Chic look.

To achieve the Shabby Chic look, you need soft pastel colors! Pinks, blues, yellows, and greens! (Layla Blue’s favorite colors are pinks and greens!) Outfits are very comfortable and have small details or textures. Add floral or lace to your outfits. It makes it chic! Wear dresses that are floral or flowy. The style gives off a vintage vibe but modernized.

Big blouses, soft pastel shirts, tanks, crop tops, light denim jeans or shorts, and linen pants.(Whites, blues, pinks! Make sure it’s pastel!) Finding clothes can be found by thrifting or at Hollister!

Shoes you can either wear sneakers or ballet flats but, make sure it matches the outfit! You can’t have a beautiful pink dress with details and then have black shoes! Duh! Instead do white!

Makeup is soft and natural. What’s most prominent about Layla Blue’s makeup is her lashes and blush. She uses Rhode Beauty Blushes and Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara in Black Brown. (Can we also just look at her hair?!Totally jealous!)
