"people just wanna hurt their blorbo"
There's a difference between hurting a character and reducing them to little more than a docile animal, forcing them to undergo painful operations that permanently disable them against their will. Regarding the screenshot: people can disagree with me all they want, but downplaying this, treating it like some kind of fun game is bizarre.
In the mid-1900s, mental health was not widely understood. Lobotomy is a common medical practice that dates back to that century. Patients were transferred to sanitariums against their will, mistreated by doctors, and the poor conditions of these places exacerbated their conditions, causing countless deaths, leading to suicides. Electroshock therapy is another method later used for the purpose of torture. What lobotomy involves is strapping someone down, drilling through their skull, and removing parts of the brain connected to lobes. Patients often required care for the rest of their lives, former personalities destroyed.
Regardless of how the surgery is performed, this is something that's killed real people. To dehumanize Jimmy like that just because you hate him is horrible. To draw a mentally ill man getting beaten up, tortured, and mistreated as many Mouthwashing fans unabashedly have isn't a form of justified revenge. Curly's state after the Tulpar crashes severely limits him to an extent where he relies on medication just to survive and is in contant pain, unable to talk or move independently, needing to be spoonfed. The swap AU (where Jimmy gets caught in the crash instead of Curly) is one thing... because it opens the venue for mature conversations about losing agency. That's the exception. Normally I'd say that I can't believe this trend is catching on. Knowing what fandoms are like nowadays, though, it doesn't really surprise me anymore.
I'm not usually a person who can feel distressed by any form of art, but all lobotomized Jimmy content is so disturbing in its nature I just can't stay silent. If you think that THIS is your perfect "good ending" for Mouthwashing, you're a hypocrite. Cause, hey. You "fixed him". He's peaceful now. Everyone's happy. The problem's gone. Congrats! Your problem solving skills are even WORSE than Jimmy's. Now pat yourselves on the head and make this shell of a human smile to Curly like its not the most disturbing thing you can do.
No person diserves to get ripped off the thing that makes us humans. Personality. Ability to think. Espessially no one deserves it done by a person you trust. Your friend. Your captain.
If this was an another story, I wouldn't say a thing. But it's Mouthwashing. A game which has taking responsibility as one of its themes. A game that shines with the depiction of characters' personalities. A game that makes you feel every thought of Jimmy as a central part of its experience.
And lobotomy?
Its not a "happy end". Not "fixing". Its cruelty. Not nessessary, deliberate cruelty that doesn't compare to Jimmy's impulsive cruel decisions in any way possible.

Hello, you can call me Hare (They/He), and this is an NSFW Writing blog dedicated to Love and Deepspace. I mainly write: Drabbles, Long Fics, and Scenarios. I do requests on occasion however I have a long list of things to write and can't get to them all in a timely manner. This blog is 18+ and minors are not welcome in this space as a majority of my writing is adult content.
Masterlist (Contains all my writing to date)
Want to hear me take on AI Writers or how to identify a post? Check out this post.
Tumblr media
This is a side blog. My main blog is @havenofwriting
If you'd like to follow me on other socials, my X account for LADs is ChaoticRabbits (Mainly just reposts of fanart I enjoy, and sometimes ramblings about my current writing projects). You can also find me on Archive of Our Own at The-Chaotic-Rabbit.
Tumblr media
For ease of access I have custom hashtags, so please read so you'll be able to choose if you'd like to block the hashtag to customize your experience on my blog. - rabid rabbit hours: Anything NSFW from asks to writing will have this hashtag. - hare speaks: All my ramblings and updates will go under this hashtag. - rabbit reblogs: This is made for reblogging things I enjoy. I sometimes forget to add this hashtag, however I'll try my best. - hare.ai: Anything related to my "witch hunt" on AI will be tagged with this. If this discussion upsets you, block this ASAP.
Content you can expect from this blog:
Will have SFW and NSFW fics written. NSFW will either be gender neutral or AFAB depending on how detailed it gets.
All NSFW fics will have content warnings on them. If I see a minor liking or reblogging anything, I will block immediately.
Posts will be put up randomly. I don't plan on having a schedule for things.
I don't take my writing overly seriously. There might be written posts that are more comedic if anything. I enjoy writing comedy as much as I enjoy romance.
I'm caught up on the lore so I will be writing for it, however I will also do AUs if that's what I'm feeling for the day.
There will be spoilers for the game. Again I'm caught up on content and lore and can't promise things won't slip, so if you don't want any spoilers then my writing isn't for you.

The Reader may or may not be a deepspace hunter depending on the fic or scenario.
Reader is 18+
Reader's: name, age, gender, appearance will never be specified. The most I will do is having the Reader look up at the guys which could show that they're shorter (The shortest love interest is Rafayel who is 6ft or 183cm). Reader will also have hair. Doesn't matter if it's a lot or a little, curly or straight. Hair might be mentioned from time to time but won't be specified on how much there is.
Everything is gender neutral. My biggest issue with Love and Deepspace, and I understand that it's not an English App, is that the MC is Female no matter what. She/Her pronouns and nothing can change that. This is my blog, my au, so I'll be using they/them pronouns.
Reader may or may not have an Evol depending on the fic. I know the real MC has an amplification type Evol so that will be the default for fics. If the reader has a different Evol then I'll state it in the Fic Description at the start.
Depending on the fic, Reader will either be in a relationship with one of the boys or it will be a harem situation. I will make sure to list it in the post so you can decide if you want to read it.
Tumblr media
Depending on the fic the relationship could be established or not a thing yet.
Backgrounds might change depending on how I wanna write the fic.
If Caleb gets released I will not be writing for him. As someone who has a step-brother, the idea of him isn't appealing. Please respect this decision.

So i barely follow the siege community here on tumblr, let alone on twitter or reddit. But i was wondering what happened/is happening over there? I mean only if you want to talk about it and are willing to share. Tbh i know how toxic and awful the siege community is, so maybe no explanation is even needed :( but i hope you are ok!
After that rant post I wasnt going to say or post anything cause honestly, I was legit tired. But today I saw people were still tweeting in the hashtag, and it's been more than 48 hours without Ubisoft responding or making any statement.
This isn't about toxicity, it's about ubisoft supporting racists and islamophobs. I've wrote everything that happened in the past 3 days, with evidence screeshots, tweets and a video you MUST watch.
TW // ISLAMOPHOBIA, RACISM, STEREOTYPING. Please take caution and read carefully.
ps. i'm as okay as i can be, as i get extremely tilted when i hear or think about this shit which is like every 10 minutes.
to get the gist of it; on Sunday SIEGE.GG announced that they will hold a Rainbow Six Major in the UAE (United Arab Emirates, the country I live in). When the Arabic community learned about this, we were so happy that finally the MENA pro players will get some spot light in the Esport scene that many arabic pro players deserve, truly we have some great talents.
but some butthead ignorant racist (who I shall not name cause they don't deserve any attention), stereotyped the whole country (that means the whole middle eastern area as well) based on old laws and us being Muslims, and made a petition to remove the Major from UAE with a stupid hashtag.
this isn't all, they made a post with text that you can barely read, spreading lies and misinformation based on stereotype like I said above. Those misinformations basically calling us savages and murderers who has absolutely no morals towards human rights. Total and utter stereotyping and racism.
i quote tweeted that tweet saying 'this is some bs and you all are misinformed greatly', why would I say that? cause I was born here and lived my whole life here (still am here too and I could not be happier). I got blocked, with no argument to be held, no debate back and forth, just a block from their pathetic fragile self.
everyone supported this blindly just by reading some article's they've found on the internet without doing deep research.
a mutual of mine, who is also from UAE, quote tweeted trying to debunk those lies and why everything they said was all misinformed, and you guessed it!! she got blocked too :D
images attached;
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
if that's not racism and islampphobia idk what is. truly, you can see the westerners are at their prime.
i was seething, rage could not be contained within me because me and my mutual are the only two who were speaking about this and trying to stop the slander of this country spreading, the country that we love and care about. but my mutual and i's voice were too little to be heard, we were helpless. we could not do anything.
this went on and on with the whole western community demanding Ubisoft to change the location for the August Major. From casters to pro players to content creators that I watched from time to time and admired, to voice actors. everyone participated one way or another by either tweeting some bullshit or liking the bullshit someone else tweeted. every single one fell from my eyes. how the hell did they believe all that? they even made a petition that got 10K signatures. we're Muslims, not savages for god sakes.
two days later, R6Esports made a statement basically saying "yes we hear you western community, even though know UAE is a safe country and we made safety arrangements with Abu Dhabi police and government and everything, but we care about your fragile feelings more than a whole ass community we ignored for most of the time. so we will move it for you boo. love daddy ubi<3 " not the literal words so don't take it seriously but that is how I saw the statement basically.
okay so when I say this triggered it for the MENA community, I don't mean it lightly. some good gaming public figures started to speak about this. they wanted a different place, and they got it but at the cost of losing the whole Middle Eastern community's support and trust. we all felt betrayed by ubisoft.
from online video game retailers to big blue mark Middle Eastern gaming reviewers, all decided to boycott every little and big product from ubisoft themselves until they issue an apology and make an official statement on the stupid stunt. It's been more than 48 hours without any single word other than "We stand with Ukraine".
now you would think this ends here, lol but it doesn't. a youtuber, a content creator, public figure, a racist cuntbag, Islamophobic bastard, made this reply and before he deleted people managed to take screenshots of him basically saying a cultural genocide is in need if you don't support lgbtq. And of course it back fired badly.
Tumblr media
Then tried to justify human genocide with this bullshit.
Tumblr media
literally doesn't take a genius to contact a MENA player to fact check what was spreading as misinformation, it's not rocket science. in the end he did a twitlong apology like any youtuber does and said he 'would step down from representing FNATIC'. after what? hm?
Also watch Pisty, one of the MENA R6S caster, expressing how gutted he felt learning about this whole mess + that cuntbag's stereotyping and being islamophobic and racist.
some example tweets from the MENA gaming community :
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
there area a lot of more quote tweets made by the community both respectful and angry at the decision and the slander the western community has spread about UAE and MENA, I wish i can post more screenshots but tumblr only allows 10 images per post.
a social media public figure who is a child activist FROM THE UAE! had to speak about this! it got that bad!
then we started a petition and it got trending in UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia:
Tumblr media
on top of all this bs, a member of ubisoft's pr team joined a twitter space that was held by one of MENA public figures. who says he's from MENA, but god help if he's not there just to spy on what we say. when siege esport came out, he basically supported them with their decision, mind you this person lived in the UAE for 7 fucking years, but says whatever slander the western community said was right and ubisoft made the better decision. when he joined the space he says he joined as a middle eastern person and not as a ubisoft employee, but all he did was throw some PR shit at us and left cowardly, when one of the people in the space (a MENA pro siege player) caught his misinformation about UAE and proved him wrong multiple times. all the time he was in (which was like most of the time cause others barely had time to speak) he didn't say anything informative, couldn't stick to one topic, jumping from one excuse to another just to rid himself from the anger of middle eastern community, he also kept mentioning that 'if it wasn't for him the MENA servers for siege wouldn't exist'. wow what an absolute angel, he did what needed to be done when the game was fucking launched after 5 years of the game's release. the next day he privated his account. good fucking riddance.
in the end, it was not about esports anymore, it was not about the MENA players having the spotlight anymore, it was not about the major being held in UAE anymore, it was bigger than that. it was about the westerners being ignorant about the Middle Eastern culture and religion, it was about UAE's reputation, dignity and honor.
you'd think stereotyping, racism, and islamophobia would less in THIS community, because they know how discriminating people can be in general. but we were wrong, i'd hate to say it but you guys really think you're the center of the world don't you, the harsh truth is you are not.
conclusion; they've insulted and slandered us in many ways and basically called us murderers, we didn't even say anything to that, or that they chose not to hear it when people tried to fix the misinfo legitimately felt like talking to a wall. they succeeded to move the Major from UAE, basically gate keeping the esport scene from the MENA players. they called our culture and religion "dogshit" and said it "shouldn't exist". many words can fit into that one sentence tweet, but they chose those words.
all of this lies and stereotyping happened out of nowhere when we were just living as a country, we even didn't say or do anything. they heard UAE and their racism and islamophobia activated.
Edit: mind you all of that came from LGBTQ community members and their supporters. You'd think they would know better by now but no they literally dont know jack shit, and they dont bother educating themselves about a topic if it wasnt about their own beliefs or agendas. They call us names, slander us, stereotype us, say islamophobic and racist shit, and when we try to educate them and try to fix their misunderstanding they ignore us and believe what they want to believe. And when ONE person who had enough of this bs, and got triggered by them basically calling us murderers, calls them the F word, we become public's no.1 enemy. But can you blame that person for saying it? What excuse and right, do these people have to spread all those lies that is any better than this person calling you the F word? In any other day I would feel disgusted and ashamed for being associated with that person, but after all that mess unfolding I wouldnt bat an eye, whatever this person says it wouldn't be as bad as them stereotyping us, insulting our culture and promoting cultural genocide.
You people have absolutely no right to be racists and islamophobs, as we as muslims dont have any right to be homophobic. I'm sorry but all of this really shattered my trust and believe in LGBTQ people. I don't think any person who isn't someone i know personally, can change my mind about this community.
this is the end of it all, with still no response from ubisoft or r6sport accounts. and if this thing keeps on going we will boycott ubisoft product in the future as we are doing now.
some informative tweets that can help people understand how things work here;
1. over 50 retweets and 140 likes tweet.
2.a good argument went back and forth but the person asking was a goddamn dumbass.
3.showcase of events that was held/being held/will hold in MENA area from 2020-2022
my opinions? fuck r6s community, their racist casters and content creators, and their over all twitter community cause EVERY single one of them is racist and islamophobic and you cannot change my mind.
the end, thank you for coming to my TED TALK.

I think that as a fandom we are very protective of Louis because he has been so badly abused. Pointing out missed opportunities and the impact it had is fair. I feel it crossed the line when the intent was to blame Louis directly and imply he’s not worth supporting. We know there are 🌱 in this fandom and I find it very suspicious that after LATAM HSHQ has changed the social media behavior and H & his fans are now copying Louis/Louies. Now suddenly the Louis is in charge, blame him happens.
hmm, so many tangents i could go on from here (sorry, i am a rambler, i ramble).
of course we're protective of louis, because there's so much mistreatment angled at him from this industry, i'm definitely not denying that. i hate the missed opportunities and the wasted potential, and i am apparently luckily enough (or selective enough) to have yet to encounter any solo louie (and i won't weight in anyone's else opinions, at this point) who packed up and left because they put the blame of it all on louis and decided he wasn't deserving of their support. us sharing our opinions on some internal things we can see isn't anything like that.
i believe i've encountered some of those industry plans you speak about. not much we can do about it. again due to the fact i tailor my internet experience as well as i can, i have HSHQ blocked (among other things, including himself, the hashtags, his name, the tour name, etc muted) and i have no idea of what that man is up to unless it's on my dash (due to anons bringing him up time and time again, hello). some of that copying is annoying, some of it i find even funny.
now, i have no idea what the last sentence of your ask has to do with anything that came before or even what it is trying to say?? what is louis in charge of that would made it his fault in relation to H copying him... blame him for what?? that wasn't even on the conversation at all?? (sorry if this sounds rude i'm just genuinely confused because all the complains i've seen and been talking about myself are about the lack of merch for the asian leg and how it is being treated as an afterthought, about how LATAM didn't get as much content as the US and EU legs, about the work schedule and ethics of some of the people on his team, all of which i believe, based on evidence and patterns, he can have a said on).
that being said this is already too long as it is and i cut down two whole paragraph so i'll end this by saying that if i'm missing a big chunk of context i will gladly stay in the dark about it 😂

👉👈 Hi. I'm essentially throwing this ask into the void, bc I'm feeling lost about my sexuality & gender identity & idk anyone irl who is LDS & LGBTQIA. It took me years to finally feel able to call myself ace. Now I'm starting to think maybe I'm not just heteroromantic. I've also started thinking maybe my gender isn't cis. But I feel like unless I'm 100% sure, I can't say anything. My fear is greater than my desire to know myself. So I've just settled & hope one day to not be afraid.
You sent this into the void, and the void is answering back!
Congratulations on identifying as ace. I think the absence of something is a lot trickier to figure out than what most of us deal with.
—————————
I know not having supportive people in your life can make it scary to try out different labels and explore your orientation and gender.
It’s okay to not have your gender figured out.
One thing you could do is create an online social media account with a non-cis identity. Try out different pronouns and see how it feels when people use them when referring to you.
—————————
There are more LDS & LGBTQIA individuals than people suspect, but church can be such a harsh environment that most do not reveal themselves, and when they do come out, they tend to quickly leave the church. But based on averages it is likely every ward in North America has at least one or two LGBTQIA people.
While it’s tough to find us in real life, it’s easier to find us online. Here on Tumblr do a search for #queerstake and you’ll find a number of queer people posting to that hashtag.
On Twitter there’s a group that is centered on Provo (because there’s a core group from BYU). Try my trans friend Ash Rowans who also has the website Trans Saint Stories. Calvin Burke is one of the most followed gay Mormons on Twitter, read the comments people make and that will give you queer Mormon people to check out on Twitter.
—————————
Another suggestion is to the Beyond the Block podcast, which is also available on iTunes. A Black man and a gay man go over the weekly Come, Follow Me lesson and apply those lessons to the marginalized communities. It’s affirming to see scripture used to lift up people like you and me.
—————————
Labels are a way to share with others how you understand yourself. It’s okay to try on a label and see how it feels. It’s okay to change your labels as your understanding about yourself changes. As people get to know themselves better and have more lived experience, it’s not uncommon for them to also shift their labels. Using a label doesn’t mean you’re committed to it for life.
—————————
It’s okay to not be ready to explore more and to be quiet about your queerness. It’s not always safe for people to come out, other times people haven’t yet figured themselves out and so aren’t ready to talk to others. There’s no shame in that. You’ll come out when you’re ready.
Give yourself credit for being brave enough to send me an ask! That was a step towards accepting yourself and finding community.
Much love to you 💓🧡💛💚💙💜

It is my great displeasure to inform you that two Nashville music industry executives are threatening a woman to stop her from singing lyrics on national television that she wrote in her diary as a 14-year-old girl.
That woman is Taylor Swift, and she's being lauded as the Artist of the Decade at the American Music Awards on Sunday, Nov. 24, due to her unparalleled success over the past 10 years. It's a great honor, and a cause for celebration for both Swift and her longtime super-fans (myself included). But because of the record deal she struck when she was just 15, she is not allowed to perform a medley of the music (often written with collaborators, but always by her) that got her there. Oh, and Netflix isn't allowed to feature it in a documentary it's making about her either.
Now, instead of celebrating with Swift, her fans are commiserating, starting hashtags such as #IStandWithTaylor and partaking in a wider cultural conversation about ownership in the music industry.
This egregious abuse of power is the weird flex of the men who own Swift's back catalog: Scott Borchetta, CEO of her former label, Big Machine, and Scooter Braun, the music manager who bought the label after several years of Swift trying extremely hard to keep her distance from him, in part due to him bullying her in the past.
The multi-award-winning Swift, who signed a new deal with Universal Music Group and Republic Records last November, didn't have ownership of her masters as part of her original deal with Big Machine and said she intended to re-record her first six albums as soon as she is legally allowed (the end of 2020). She's also made no secret of her dismay at Braun being the one to own her music and the betrayal she felt when Borchetta sold it to him.
It's a sad but not uncommon situation Swift has found herself in (Prince famously changed his name in a bid to regain control of his masters, and singer Sky Ferreira recently also spoke of being in a similar position to Swift) -- that the lifetime's work she's poured her heart and soul into is owned by and feeding the bank accounts of two men who had nothing to do with its creation.
They are now refusing to let her perform that older music in specific contexts unless she agrees not to re-record her first six albums and stops speaking about frustration with the situation publicly.
In a statement posted across her social accounts, Swift encouraged people to let Braun, Borchetta, the Carlyle Group (Braun's financial backers) and other artists they're fans of know how they feel about the situation. Fans (and many others who were just outraged) started petitions and reached out to people across the music industry on Twitter to express their frustration. A small number of people have been accused of attempting to dox Braun and Borchetta, but it should be noted that Swift didn't suggest this as a course of action.
The lengths Braun and Borchetta are now going to to forbid her from re-recording music she wrote give a rare inside glimpse at how far music executives with unchecked power will go to control artists. Their actions also prove they're inadequate caretakers for this trove of artistic treasures, beloved by so many, which they're wielding like a weapon against its creator.
When signing her new record deal, Swift felt her only choice to make a better future for herself was to flee the house she built with her own hands, even though it caused her great pain to do so. Now she can't get her songs back, or even borrow them for the weekend. If you're a music fan, this is something you should care about regardless of how you feel about Swift or her music. Because if something like this can happen to Swift, it can happen to any artist, and it does, and will continue to.
In a statement issued Friday, Big Machine broadly denied this, saying "at no point did we say Taylor could not perform on the AMAs or block her Netflix special," acknowledging it did not have the power to do so, but not refuting her specific allegations. Swift's publicist responded with a statement quoting an email in which they deny Swift's requests to perform her music.
Swift is the first to acknowledge this is much bigger than her. She knows that at least she has the power and reach not to have her voice stifled. She also knows all too well the power of withholding music, having taken her music off Spotify for several years to make a point about streaming royalties. But more broadly, she's speaking to the vast power imbalance between music industry executives and artists everywhere.
It's why it's disappointing that so few prominent male artists have so far been willing to join her in raising their own voices, even though they publicly gush over her talent and will happily fish for collaborations in interviews.
The musicians who have spoken up (Halsey, Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello, Lily Allen and Sara Bareilles) are almost exclusively female or new, or they just have smaller followings. With less clout or less of an established presence, these are the artists most at risk of retribution from cutthroat execs, and they should be applauded alongside Swift for their willingness to speak out.
It's worth considering for a moment the current push toward greater artist ownership and empowerment and how this incident will be relayed in that context in the annals of music history. To step back is to see this as part of a pattern of paternalistic power plays designed to disenfranchise artists and keep them in their place.
Braun and Borchetta claim to be on the side of musicians and artistry, often referring to Big Machine as a family. But as things stand, music history will tell a different story. It's hard to imagine anyone in the future looking back at this incident and seeing anything other than two men in a boardroom holding a woman's lifework hostage for the purposes of profit and power. History will likely not be kind to these men, primarily because, in this instance at least, they showed very little care and kindness of their own in their time.
The narrative of Swift's legacy is already secure, thanks to her vast body of critically acclaimed music, much loved by fans for its lyrical depth. It will also speak of her boldness and fearlessness in standing up for herself, others and what she believes in while being frequently berated by the misogynistic attitudes ingrained in the media, the music industry and society as a whole. It's not the story of someone playing victim, as many would have you believe. It will be the story of a victor.
As for Borchetta and Braun, their contribution to music will be remembered as what it is (nil) and if they continue on their current trajectory, their reputation for stifling the contributions of others is at risk of overshadowing anything they've done to promote and support musicians.
There is still time for them to change this narrative and truly uplift the art they claim to support. They've proven they have the power they so clearly desire. Now let's see if they've got the integrity to wield it wisely, ethically, compassionately and for the greater artistic good.
ts1989fanatic well written cogent article with a lot of very valid questions being asked primarily as I asked earlier in a post.
Where the fuck are the men of the music industry and why the hell aren’t the chicken shit assholes voicing their opinions on this subject.
PATHETIC JUST PATHETIC
