I’m just thinking very hard about it bc I want to give them Reshiram and Zekrom but I’m not sure which twin should get which. For obvious reasons ofc ancient feud about two brothers and originally the younger being ideals and the older being truth lined up but I’m thinking about it (also the uhhhmm fusion thing teehee). It works if you consider the concepts of truth and ideals to be extremely skewed and inherently interconnected. Trigun spoilers below btw smile

Knives used to cope with his fear of humanity by learning more about them (reading the Bible, doing extensive research on earths history), while Vash coped with it through communicating (even if it was just with rem). I feel like this works best if you see it as each of their perceptions of their beliefs, even if either could work for either twin even in those circumstances. Knives believes that his feelings on humans are simply the truth, that’s inherently how they are , while Vash sees his opinion on humans to be based on his ideals, the scraps of rems ideals especially (I think this is EXTREMELY evident in the home arc where he apologizes to wolfwood for “burdening him with his ideals���). The reason I say either could work is that knives is endlessly passionate about his beliefs, so much so that he sees no reason to live when he can’t accomplish them, “even if I am alone in this world, I will walk my own path with pride.” And arguably Vash’s ideals are the truth, because his are based on what people actually think and feel, and not a shallow perception of it. I guess each of these concepts being flawed as a perfect representation of their beliefs would kind of be the point. Oh god I also have so many thoughts on the way each of them cope with trauma but that’s not for this analysis

Do I think Dennis would do plastic surgery safely with a licenced surgeon because he would rather die or kill himself then do it at home and risk ruining his perfect appearance. yes, I do

And do I also think that he's so obsessed with how he looks and being his ideal self so much that he would go to a black market surgeon, meeting in various Hotel rooms, when a licenced one tells him that a procedure he wants can't be done because it's "too dangerous" but he's going to do it anyway because he's willing to do whatever it takes. Also yes..

BUT WHAIT do I ALSO think he's going to buy needles of liquid filler from some shady dark Web website and do it in his and mac's apartment in bathroom mirror because he's physically paranoid about anyone besides himself doing it and fucking how he looks up? Definitely.

Some of my Battletech minis! This was the first set I ever bought and painted; it's the Comstar Command Level II set. I gave them a custom paint scheme; orang and whaite is easily a favorite color combo for me. Some of my friends have called them "Orange Creamsicle Mechs" and I'm on board with it, lol. My idea is that these mechs belong to an indipendant mining company from the Periphery. It's called "The Vanderbelt Mining Co." and they often have run-ins with space pirates that are trying to snatch their fancy space minerals.

First, the Black Knight (left) and Exterminator (right) I like to give one mech pilot a name after each BT game I play; the Black Knight is my only named one in this set so far. I called him "Leeroy" as a reference to Leeroy Jenkins because he ran in without a plan and was promptly mario-stomped to death by one of @enderman1000's mechs, lol.

Next, the King Crag (left) and Highlander (right) The King Crab is absolutely my favorite mech from the set; it is the main reason I bought this box :D

Lastly, the Sentinel (left) and Mercury (right) No fun tidbits for these two. They're okay. Mercury is the wimpiest mech in the set :c

a sudden laughter escaped the mathematician when his dear friend answered his question. " i DON'T mind a little danger. " he winked with one eye while smiling widely before his gaze wandered, looking down at the files. fingers flipped through the pages and the grin on his lips disappeared when he came to the part that mentioned children being attacked by " unknown creatures ". ian couldn't even imagine what he would do if a dinosaur bit his children. a shiver ran along his spin. he shuddered at the very thought.

" they swam? " an eyebrow was raised as an image of the world appeared in his mind. of the DAMN island and costa rica. he didn't know the exact length of the route but it was impressive (and worrying) if a dinosaur managed to swim that far. " it should be impossible, considering distance from the island to the main land. " raptors and compys weren't exactly known for their size. they were quite small. didn't they need food for energy too? had they really evolved THAT much? dear god he hated this. " shouldn't they be smaller in numbers? i mean there are even bigger and meaner fish beneath the surface of the sea? " the mug with pitch black coffee was raised and he took sip of the dark liquid. he was going to need this (and probably a dozen more or so).

ian almost spat when she mentioned what the government had done. he arched both of his eyebrows, looking at ellie. " jesus christ - they really went that far HUH? " head moved up and down, nodding. he did actually agree with her (and alan for once). " it would be worse than bad. unimaginable bad. we don't need more giant lizards walking on this earth right now, wreaking havoc. " all of this was WRONG. the past should be in the past, not in the present. and no one should have power to create what once had been dead for so many years. it disgusted him. " whait - are you saing that i'm not a genius computer expert? i'm deeply hurt. " there it was again - that laughter. an attempt to make the situation a bit lighter. " i think i might know someone, but it ain't gonna be easy making them believe this, or rather, BELIEVE me. they gonna think i'm crazier than usual. " head tilted, fingers resting against his cheek while thoughts filled his head. questions. " i guess you need this expert as soon as possible soon. i suppose i could try and call them now but don't say i didn't warn you ellie. "

"the costa rica government asked alan and i to stay, after they released the kids. we spent time there trying to eradicate raptors, compys - ones that made it off that damned island." ellie sips at her coffee, as if it's the most normal conversation in the world to be having. "these are the reports they gave us, ones from all over the coastal towns. we still haven't figured out how they made it off the island besides the boats - the leading theory is they swam."

not unheard of, but still a terrifying thought. there were plenty of creatures in the sea to sustain the dinosaurs, and costa rica would be a haven for lysine heavy foods, rendering their altered dna completely useless. another downfall of nublar, of hammond, his mighty ego. ellie takes another drink of coffee; it's the only thing sustaining her at the moment, powering her through a severe lack of sleep.

"skip to the last page though -" she gestures to the files between them, brow furrowed. "the government confirmed they napalmed the entirety of the island to destroy the rest of the dinosaurs, but i'm concerned - and so is alan - that the underground bunkers with the equipment and technology are untouched." she continues. "filled with data on their processes, no less. and if costa rica gets a hold of that information, much less any government, it'll be bad. real bad. i'm hoping you might have some inkling of some genius computer expert who might be willing to go back to nublar and ensure that data is destroyed. for good."
