Attending Hogwarts gave Ominis the space he needed away from his family, and the Sallow household doubled as his home away from home. Him losing the security Anne and Sebastian gave him AND being shunned by MC after everything has definitely left him feeling some type of way. The events of his fifth-year shaped him and drove him to want to expunge dark magic as a whole (hence the Auror position), but since I imagine he had no choice but to go back to living with his family for a few years after everything, the lines miiiight be a little blurred. Sebastian has made it so that Ominis sees things in a more black and white scale, so now it's less about "policing dark magic" and more about "stopping dark magic at any cost".

The poor guy is definitely going through it... pouring one out for Ominis rn ;;
