~A Record of 120 Individuals Who Danced in Purge’s Master Plan to Make the Whole Galaxy Dance~
Concluding this book is a compilation of the known suspects and victims, interviewed by the officers assigned this case. Not all individuals who were abducted are listed, and, in some instances, details were added to the publication without permission. Rest assured, those indisputably involved in resolving the case are registered. Additionally, this book is an accumulation of testimonies from those involved. As such, we are confident in this book’s value as a historical document. It'll be a beneficial contribution to the Space Police Cultural Research Department's ever growing library, as requested by their history experts. –Pine
Mm, well, that’s all the profiles recorded. Below the registration number and the individual's name is the registration location, and below that is the text that appear on the profile screen. Then there’s the notes section. It works like this: you notice how the secret input note for character 002 says "(see 115)" at the end? That means you gotta check out character 115’s profile before character 002 will fess up the details. There are notes on how to receive certain outfits and items, too. Well, I'm outta here. –Texas

Himejima Gyomei (27, theology major)

had a very happy childhood, has never been adopted and isn't upset about it in the slightest
went on a spiritual journey for five years after school and wrote a bestseller book about it
started going to university at age 23, helps out at the orphanage whenever he can

advocate for a more inclusive university life and very active in groups fighting for disability rights, both on and off campus
Uzui Tengen (23, music major)
was somewhat of a public figure from a very young age because the Uzui clan is one the richest, most powerful families in the country and everyone in town knows who they are
always hated his parents and moved out at 18, got a small fortune (that's rich people slang for a ton of money, source: trust me) from a cool uncle and used it to open a night club which is very popular with the locals
has no contact to his siblings (even tho he'd like to) and avoids all of his dad's properties like the plague
started going to university at age 20 because he wanted to do something with his passion

teaches little kids in the dojo because Urokodaki thinks it'd be good for him, he's slowly warming up to it
the type of peanut allergy where his throat closes up at the sight of them, when they were in fifth grade Sanemi almost killed him because he didn't know about it and it delayed their friendship by roughly two years
Shinazugawa Sanemi (21, physics major)

christmas is her favorite time of the year, she goes all out with planning the festivities and getting everyone gifts and needs three whole days to recharge afterwards
has to wear a biteguard when she's stressed because she'll start clenching her teeth in her sleep and works really hard to keep it a secret from everyone
Iguro Obanai (21, philosophy major)
somewhat of a local legend, not by his own doing but by people just making shit up about him
grew up in a cult of which all the members were killed in a fire with him being the only survivor and a huge news story all across the country at age 12
moved to another city as soon as he was old enough to start anew but the rumors follow him everywhere (and it doesn't help that he talks to his snake)
mostly annoyed by the rumors but also likes to use them to scare people of who are being super pushy or harassing his friends (that's the first time in his life he found friends, he can and will commit atrocious crimes on their behalf)
originally enrolled in zoology, then switched majors when the professors wanted to use Kaburamaru as a test subject
spends his time in philosophy class taking a stance against whatever Giyuu says and has an entire folder filled with essays criticizing his statements

slightly hearing impaired, has hearing aids prescribed that he just forgets to put in at all times
doesn't have a driver's license, goes by bike everywhere no matter the weather
gets close to people easily, is well beloved amongst Senjuro's friends and also makes an effort to get to know them so he can be sure Senjuro's in good hands
regularly forgets people's names but never their birthdays
collects old books and learned a bunch of old languages just to be able to read them
Kanroji Mitsuri (19, art major)
still lives at home because she wants to stay with her family and help take care of her siblings, also claims that she had invested too much time in her room to just leave it behind (her room looks like every cool fluffy fairy core room you have ever seen on pinterest, it's the coziest place on earth)
if there's a sanrio themed version of stuff she needs, she's getting it, no questions asked.
slightly allergic to dogs, she doesn't care though and cuddles with Curry all the time, she calls it confrontation therapy (it works)
animal lover in general, she even built a little terrarium in her room so Kaburamaru has a comfy spot for his naps when Obanai stays over
has kept every drawing she ever made and sometimes looks through them for inspiration, also likes to track her progress that way
there's a coffee shop across the street from her house where she has been customer of the month every month consistently for four years as well as an honorary mention ever since she was six

in her last year of school and likely about to graduate with a perfect score
founder and president of the first aid club, also head of the student council and an active member on every committee the school has to offer
recently got her driver's license but keeps it a secret so she doesn't have to play chauffeur for her sisters
effectively avoids getting asked out for dates by being very scary™ (and taking jiu jitsu classes since elementary school), she's also your go to person when creepy weirdos won't leave you alone
loves cooking with her sisters and often shares her own recipes with Kanao, she also has her own little corner in Kanae's garden where she plants stuff that she uses to make her own medicine
has a lot on her plate with school and her clubs and some volunteer stuff she does here and there, so she goes to the local animal shelter once a week to cuddle and play with the cats and dogs there, it's her little safe zone to unwind and she doesn't tell anyone about it
the biggest fan of psychological thrillers you will ever meet
Tokito Muichiro (14, student)
in eighth grade and no one knows how he did it but everyone suspects that his brother took at least some of his exams in his place
he's not bad at school per se but he just can't memorize stuff, you're lucky if he knows your name after sitting next to each other for six months
is a member of the cooking club tho and absolutely thriving there, he never goes by recipe and creates the most delicious things but he won't tell anyone his secret ingredients because he can't remember them either
absolutely loves visiting his friends' houses, he's so happy seeing how their rooms reflect them
followed Yuichiro everywhere all throughout elementary school, then made his first friend in fifth grade (Tanjiro of course) and has been getting more and more independent ever since
constantly misses bus stops or takes trains in the wrong direction and is always late because of it, however he has also acquired an extensive knowledge of the town and can give you directions to pretty much everywhere
tries his very best to remember his friends' birthdays but forgets his own every year because it just kinda slips his mind that he has the same birthday as Yuichiro

Colleges and universities in the U.S. are facing some strong headwinds on enrollment figures, forcing some tough conversations. Inside Higher Ed recently published an article under the headline “Report Finds Higher Ed Sector Shrank by 2 Percent” along with the accompanying subhead “Data from the National Center for Education Statistics shows that nearly 100 institutions closed between the 2022–23 and 2023–24 academic years.” The term “enrollment cliff” gets thrown around a lot in higher education circles lately, and this article seems to offer some confirmation of those anxieties. But does the news call for panic?
After reading up and doing some of my own analysis, I’m going to argue that the closures we’ve seen to date are relatively small for the traditional higher ed sector as a whole, although of course they are very tough for those personally involved. But I’m also going to argue that there are underlying trends which may be very disruptive in the coming decade.
In the end, I will suggest that worry about college closures is largely misplaced. Worry about uneven enrollment trends and the accompanying elimination of programs at some schools is where the concern should lie.
In this discussion, I mostly concentrate on four-year private, nonprofit, and public institutions, as that’s what I know best. (For those who may be curious, according to the Digest of Education Statistics, 2020 enrollments in four-year, for-profit colleges were down by about half from their 2010 peak. Enrollment in two-year colleges was down about 40% from its 2010 peak.)
Recent closures are surging, again
Let’s start with a picture of college closures over the last three decades. This appears in Figure 1. The yellow line traces the number of all higher ed institutions, and the two other lines trace the same numbers among two major sector categories, for-profit (dark blue line) and not-for-profit (light blue line) institutions.
The first thing to notice in the figure is that the most recent year has indeed shown a large uptick in college closures relative to during the pandemic, but fewer closures than those observed during the late 2010s (when many for-profits closed in anticipation of losing Pell-grant eligibility due to “gainful employment” regulations). Also, notice that the increase in closures is mostly driven by the closure of for-profit schools. About half the for-profit closures were vocational schools that operated below the associate degree level. In some part, the recent spate of for-profit closures took place in programs that were very similar to the profile of those involved in the pre-pandemic closure spike and might also have failed gainful employment metrics. This serves as a reminder that school closings are not always bad—vocational programs in which graduates don’t find jobs don’t help anyone very much.
The not-for-profit line in Figure 1 shows closures of four-year schools, combining both private nonprofit and public. (About an equal number of two-year schools, mostly public, closed this year, but are not presented separately in the figure.) While the number of closures of four-year schools has increased, so far we are talking about relatively few institutions. It’s also worth pointing out that sometimes when colleges “close,” they actually merge into another, surviving, institution. Depending on the nature of the merger, the damage to students and employees may—or may not—be substantially mitigated. (Harvard seems to have survived its 1999 merger with Radcliffe College.) Among the four-year schools I look at, the two public universities that closed were merged into another institution, while almost all the nonprofit privates closed without a merger. Robert Kelchen documents that “closures” among community colleges are sometimes just administrative consolidations with no campus closures.
Using Department of Education data, I have identified 17 four-year schools that either shut down completely in the last year or merged into another college. Is the closure of 17 schools a very bad thing or even a disaster? Well, it surely is if you’re a student who can’t complete your degree (some closing schools arrange teach-out programs with another college, but the research from the State Higher Education Executive Officers Association is not reassuring). It’s also a tough lot if you’re a long-time faculty member or staff who’s lost your job. Not much fun if you’re an alumnus either.
Figure 2 shows the history of average enrollments for the schools that closed this year.
Two facts are striking. First, the schools that closed last year suffered from declining enrollments for years and were never large. Second, the closed schools were very small—in 2023, average enrollment at these schools had fallen to about 120 students. Nationwide, “only” a few thousand students were affected. Since there are something like 11 million four-year college students, we’re talking about closures affecting fewer than one in a thousand students.
Going forward: Where is the significant risk?
The closures we’ve seen so far just aren’t a big deal—unless you’re unlucky enough to be at one of the places that closed. However, I am less sanguine about the future. The key issue here is enrollment variability. Some institutions are at risk from enrollment pressures, while most aren’t. My institution, for example, receives over 110,000 applications. It’s not at any risk from enrollment declines, nor are other highly selective colleges.
Yet, there are many, many colleges that are quite small and not very selective and therefore at real risk from enrollment drops. The typical college in the United States is neither a football power nor a research factory. Half the colleges in the U.S. enroll fewer than 2,200 students. In fact, nearly a third of U.S. colleges enroll under 1,000 students. Some of these places are vulnerable.
Most private colleges survive financially on tuition. Public colleges also receive substantial state support of course, although sometimes the level of support also depends on enrollment. Despite public impressions, endowments really only provide major support at a few schools. If you look at all the college endowments in the country, six percent is at one school, 20% is held by the eight Ivy League schools, and half the national total is held at just 24 schools. For the vast majority of colleges, endowments provide a margin of excellence—but endowments don’t support the school.
But for the one-third of four-year schools with enrollments under 1,000 students, most have no endowment to tide them over any tough times. This means that going forward, there are a large number of schools vulnerable to small swings in enrollment.
This is particularly concerning since forecasts project a decline in the total number of high school graduates in the coming years. Nationwide, the Department of Education projects about a five percent drop in the number of new high school graduates by 2031. The Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education forecasts a 12% drop by 2037. High school graduates are a leading indicator of subsequent college enrollment trends; though college-going rates have risen a little in recent years, it is not enough to counter the growing decline in high school graduates. So it’s very likely that there will be a modest drop nationwide in candidates to start college.
However, there is enormous geographic variation in these demographic trends. Consider the four states with the largest populations. The Department of Education forecasts about a 10% increase in the number of new high school graduates in Florida and Texas through 2031. If Florida and Texas ever face college enrollment difficulties, it won’t be because of a lack of potential entrants. As contrasting examples, deep drops in high school graduates—on the order of 15%—are forecast for California and New York. Similar drops are forecast for several other states. Even if the national drops are not of great concern, there are clearly some states where some advanced planning is called for.
What’s being missed: Program closures are the real risk
Most colleges are at no risk of closing, though some small schools and schools in some states may well be at risk. I suspect the real issue is going to be program eliminations and accompanying reductions-in-force as some schools downsize or rightsize even as others are growing. As an example, Inside Higher Education has a good story on program cuts in 10 universities in August alone and a story in September documenting cuts at another nine schools.
Even some of the nation’s most successful universities have undergone recent program closures. The Pennsylvania State University reduced employment by 10% at its regional campuses this spring as enrollment fell about 20%, even while enrollment at the flagship Penn State campus grew. Last year, West Virginia University, the state’s flagship school, announced cuts of 28 programs and elimination of 147 faculty positions. WVU’s enrollment has been more or less flat for the last five years, but is down about 16% over the last decade. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is closing its College of General Studies and removing 32 tenured faculty, having also seen about a 16% enrollment drop over the last decade. Most recently, St. Louis University has announced the need for large budget cuts in the face of a massive drop in international enrollment, which disproportionately contributes to tuition revenues.
There’s no single narrative or overall trend that perfectly describes the future of college enrollment. Colleges vary in their size, selectivity, and institutional resources and face different levels of threat from demographic shifts across the country. While college closures are hard for the students and employees of those institutions, it’s probably program eliminations within colleges that are likely to be the bigger story in the years to come. That’s something we don’t know a lot about yet.

does auto have lore or does he have some stuff wrote about him or something?
Oh man I've got a lot on Auto
Like a Lot
I don't think I have anything written currently on hand that's fully up to date or organised so I guess I'll just try rewrite stuff here (it is a bit long even though I've summarised a lot forgive me)
Auto was born into the Octarian army, life in the domes was all he knew. He didn't have parents that he knew of or grew up with, but it's not something that ever bothered him since, again, this was all he knew. He would attend school there, and made two friends for life, and they'd quickly become inseperable.
They were great friends with their own interests. One who enjoyed mechanics and machinery, the other who enjoyed botanics and tending to the foliage, and Auto, who enjoyed strategy in combat. Each of them were rather quiet, the second one not learning how to speak until late into her infancy, but they all fit together perfectly. (Related; They are all autistic.)
As he grew up a little, he realised in his childhood that his goal would be to become an elite soldier. He always admired and took interest in the high ranks of his sector and their skills in combat. Years and years later, around 16, he'd achieve this, becoming one of the top ranking elites of his sector as he'd always wanted. He had practiced with a wide array of weapon classes, and found chargers and blasters to be his favourite.
A year into this, he realised he felt a little aimless without any further goals. He had just achieved the biggest thing he could go for in the underground, what else is there? He then learned of the surface, and this idea grabbed him. He'd go to the surface and seek out new opportunities. His friends were on board with this idea, and they wanted to make a new life together. One of his friends managed to make contact with the surface, contacting someone who would help retrieve them. Things were looking pretty good.
To make the already long story short, Auto escaped. He stayed with the friend from the surface - who would be my other main oc, Boro - and would await the arrival of the others. He was absolutely captivated by the surface and how different it was, but his wonder was held back by the anxiety of waiting.
In this time, he met Hiro, who was a friend of Boro's. He'd end up spending a lot of time with him, getting introduced to turf wars and anarchy battles through him. Auto quickly learned of his love for Tower Control, and found a favourite weapon in the Custom Splattershot Jr. He would also learn of his new feelings for Hiro. He had never felt something like this before, though, and didn't know what the hell he was feeling or how to deal with it, and it caused him a ton of emotional turmoil.
In the end, only one of his two friends had successfully escaped, the other being lost to sanitisation. This loss only worsened Auto's mental state. This was his lifelong best, dearest friend, and he lost her. He blamed himself for this to no end. He is only around 18 or 19 here - he still blames himself for it to this day.
The people close to him do their best to help him, though, and his mental state recovers slightly. Around this time, Hiro and Auto learn of their feelings for one another, and get into a very loving, close relationship, and his life basically stabilises from here onwards.
He's 23 now, and he has finally felt a semblance of happiness for the first time since the underground. A boyfriend who is his absolute world, friends he cares about and can rely on, goals and achievements he can feel proud of, hobbies he can enjoy... He feels happy. Despite it all, though, he still blames himself for the loss of his friend.
#oughhhh i hope it isnt so long that its a boring read or anything#i always worry that auto isnt an interesting enough oc#or that he's too generic idk#but i love him very much#splatoon 3#splatoon oc#OC// Auto#i have a lot more on him - like down to his interests or experiences of his past and his friends from the army#and just the people of his life from back then#and a lot of experiences he has had on the surface too#but i dont want this to become the length of the bible so it'll go left out

shannon! hello! i was looking at your pinterest boards again (they're so aesthetic i love it!) and marty's really stood out to me! so i wanted to ask, what's his story like? any fun things about him? :)
OMG blu!!! ( @xxluckystrike ) hello!! :D i hope you're doing well! <3 (and thanks so much for stopping by the askbox!) AWWWWE thanks so much!!! :') that means so much to me omggg, my pinterest boards for my OCs are truly some of my favorite things to collect and put together - it just helps so much with writing, the vibes i try to go for, the aesthetic of course, quotes, face claims, scene inspo for them.....i could go on haha! it truly helps so so much for me, so i appreciate it SO much!! :)
my sweet bean marty!!! you can absolutely ask about him (and i am beyond happy to talk about him!) and i've been working with writing him a bit more for the fic and just !!!!! i love him so so much! :)
SO!!!! Marty - or to others Martin Armstrong, or to Esther, her little brother by about 14 months haha! In the story, we won't really see a *whole* lot about Marty face-to-face, but Esther thinks about him a lot and does mention him throughout the story when thinking about home and her childhood (two major things that hang off of her like a comfy cardigan). My best way to describe Marty is that not only is he Esther's brother, but he's tough as nails, intelligent, charming, resourceful, loyal, a ride-or-die type of friend, and one helluva medic out in the Pacific (corpsmen, he's in the Marines, but for sake of better word)!
Marty worked at the nearby Navy Yard, with a few school friends, but once Esther went to school and war rumblings crossed the Atlantic, he decided to sign up for the Marines - he wanted to be with the best of the best, and with Dad as a Marine, he wanted to follow in his footsteps. So when Esther went to work at Fort Bragg with W-Sector, Marty was sent to Parris Island, South Carolina where he underwent his training before being sent to the Pacific.
He gets close with a group of guys in the Marines his age - Charlie Godfrey (his closest friend in the platoon) along with Joey Merrie, Calvin Hindton, Glenn Jercovic, Roger Kaplan and Warren Whitwatcher. Fun fact: Charlie Godfrey's little sister, Flo, is on a certain base in Europe, working as a mechanic on the ‘Flying Fortresses’ throughout 1943, helping take care of a dog named Meatball (lol!).
Marty’s role in the story is really this enigma of being Esther’s brother and someone consistently important to her life (to then parallel another OC, Jeannie, the tragic story of her and her brother, Fitzgerald, but more on that another time).
Him being a medic is one of the things that really defines his character, especially being out in the pacific, and I purposely write some of his letters to Esther where he describes what that experience is like and what he goes through to further exemplify his character and his inherent need to help people. From the way Esther talks about him early on in the fic, you wouldn’t really *guess* that about him but the more we hear and see of him, and once he starts mentioning it, we see where that makes sense.
And if anything, Marty is VERY proud of his sister! :) [#1 supportive lil brother truly]
SO NOW…..a I have a moodboard and a snippet for you as a thank you for asking about him! :) ENJOYYYYY!!!!! He truly is one of my favorites and such a good person! <3
Another fun fact: Esther has brought up Marty 71 times and I only have 23 chapters written! Lol!
Everywhere she looked, she saw her brother; she saw Marty in the doorway to their home, with his backpack and long socks on his first day of 1st grade. She saw Marty at the kitchen table, his usual spot left open for him ever since that day he left. She saw him in the family room, not only in a few notable pictures, but in his usual slightly dented spot on the couch that the majority of people left open. Half the time it still felt like Marty was there.
-> excerpt from Chapter 14 of And Then The Dawn Came
#MARTYYYY#i haven’t actually talked about him a whole lot so THANK U for this ask!!! 🥹🫶✨#band of brothers#attdc#and then the dawn came#martin armstrong#marty is a sweet bean#a lil chaotic but a sweetheart#that’s generally how the armstrong family is :)#THANK U BLU!

SRPSKA OPEN
- Activity title: Srpska open
- Duration and time: 16-23 April, 2023
- Type of activity: service
Learning outcomes:
- Identify your own strengths and develop areas for personal growth.
- Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.
- Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience.
- Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.
- Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.
- Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions.
Activity description:
Volunteering at the ATP 250 Tour in Banja Luka.
Reflection:
In order to relax a bit before pre-mocks, Marija and I decided to apply to volunteer at Srpska Open. Firstly, we had an interview through a video call. They asked basic questions, such as where we go to school, have we volunteered before and where, why we decided to apply etc. Then we had another in-person interview a month later, and that is when we got asked to choose the sector that we want to volunteer at. A week later we got an email that we were accepted as VIP volunteers. We were very excited that we got the position that we wanted and more importantly, that we got to do it together.
One thing that we also really liked, is that we were obligated to follow a professional dress code, which meant that we could dress nicely.
The shifts were long and exhausting, but also very fun. Our job was to greet people who came to the VIP, such as the president and the mayor. Our job was also to make sure that no problems appear during the match.
However, the hard work payed off because we got to meet the world’s best tennis player Novak Djokovic and the tournament director Djordje Djokovic, as well as other globally known tennis players, which was a great honour.
Srpska Open was one of the first jobs that showed us what hard work looks like. It also helped us meet people from all around the world and extend our communication skills. And of course, we learned a lot about tennis 🎾

And on the other side, from the other persons perspective, you slow down so much that at some point you'd stop, and then disappear? This is because the black hole's point of singularity is so dense that it warps space-time really hard, it becomes an inverted pinpoint on the plane of reality :D

CBSE Implements Competency-Based Learning Journey in Schools
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has implemented a shift in its teaching methods, introducing Competency-Based Education (CBE) in schools across India. This change moves away from traditional content-heavy learning, where memorisation was often emphasised. The curriculum has shifted to a model that focuses on the practical application of knowledge and skills.
Launched during the 2022-23 academic year, this approach aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It encourages a well-rounded education that better prepares students for both future academic studies and professional environments. Schools such as St. Xavier’s High School at the forefront of this change, supporting students in developing real-world skills, critical thinking abilities, and a deeper understanding of their subjects.
What is Competency-Based Education?
Competency-based education, as implemented by new-age schools like St. Xavier’s High schools in sector 81 gurgaon, focuses on equipping students with practical, specific skills. This approach enables students to demonstrate their knowledge through application-based activities rather than traditional simple learning. For example, instead of solely memorising facts for exams, students in a CBE model engage in tasks that apply their knowledge to solve problems or complete projects that simulate real-world scenarios. This method develops critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability, giving students skills that go beyond academic knowledge and prepare them for future challenges in both educational and professional settings.
Why Schools in Gurugram, Including St. Xavier’s, are Adopting CBE
The shift to Competency-Based Education is a response to the need for more meaningful and practical learning. Traditional education models often required students to rely heavily on memorisation, which led to quick forgetting of information once exams were over. CBE focuses on thorough comprehension and skills finesse, which not only helps students retain what they learn but also understand its applications in real life. At St. Xavier’s High School Sector 81, this approach aims to provide students with the skills they will need to overcome future academic and professional spaces effectively.
Key Elements of Competency-Based Learning
In implementing Competency-Based Education, schools like St. Xavier’s Sector 81 follow several foundational principles that distinguish this approach from traditional education:
1. Personalised Learning
Lessons are tailored to address the specific needs of each student. Teachers adapt the material and pace to suit individual learning styles, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.
2. Competency Mastery
Students only advance to the next level when they have fully mastered the current skill or concept. This method prevents gaps in understanding and builds a solid foundation of knowledge.
3.Flexible Learning Environments
In CBE, learning is not limited to the classroom or a rigid schedule. Students are encouraged to engage with the material through various resources, both online and offline, at a pace that suits them best.
4. Student Ownership of Learning
CBE students participate actively in their education. It builds a sense of responsibility and accountability. Students are prompted to ask questions, explore their curiosities, and develop independence in their learning process.
New Assessment Approaches in Competency-Based Education
Assessments are important in Competency-Based Education but differ from traditional exams. Instead of testing memorised information, assessments in CBE measure students' abilities to apply their knowledge in practical situations. Teachers at St. Xavier’s Sector 81, for instance, assesses students through tasks that involve analysis of all of which showcase how well students have understood the material. This approach not only evaluates comprehension but also helps students build skills that will be essential in their future studies and careers.
Advantages of Competency-Based Learning
Competency-Based Learning offers numerous benefits for students, particularly in preparing them for higher education and the workplace. Some key advantages include:
In-Depth Understanding
CBE enables students to gain a comprehensive understanding of their subjects. Rather than focusing on what to learn, students also explore why and how things work.
Practical Skills Development
Since the emphasis is on real-world applications, students learn practical skills that make their studies more relevant. For example, a science student might engage in experiments that connect theoretical knowledge to real-life applications.
Readiness for Future Challenges
CBE prepares students with problem-solving and analytical skills that are invaluable in higher education and professional settings. As students progress through their education, these skills will help them adapt to new situations and challenges effectively.
Individual Support and Flexibility
In a competency-based model, students are not rushed to meet a standard curriculum pace. They are given the time to thoroughly understand each topic, creating a more supportive environment that addresses the learning needs of each individual.
Conclusion
The CBSE’s adoption of Competency-Based Education marks a pivotal shift in Indian education. For schools like St. Xavier’s High School in Sector 81 Gurugram, this new educational model presents a valuable opportunity to provide students with a personalized and impactful learning experience. With the collaborative efforts of educators, parents, and the community, Competency-Based Education aims to produce well-rounded individuals.
