I love the idea of Jughead and Betty getting married in the 50s. Not bc i think they’re “endgame”(I’m sorry I cringed as i wrote that) but bc I want the arc of repressed housewife Betty getting tired of her husband’s distance and following him and she sees him and Archie just hanging out shirtless like best bros do and assumes they are having an affair.

This unleashes her female rage and she finds her inner serial killer. But just as she’s about to take revenge on Jughead, Famous Hollywood star Veronica who has recently moved to Riverdale shows up at her book club. Betty is so distracted and into Veronica that she decides to just divorce jughead. Turns out she was the one cheating! She and Veronica leave town and go to Hollywood, where they secretly continue their affair while remaining “best gal pals” in public. Betty puts her killer instincts to use and becomes a producer.

Meanwhile, Jughead figures out that he’s gay and ace after Betty tells him that she knows about him and Archie. Through no homo damage control he re-examines his and Archie’s relationship and finally picks up on the homoeroticism dripping from every interaction (puts warning triangle on floor, “watch out for this puddle of homoeroticism, dear”). He and Archie go on to be “business partners” in whatever job Archie is doing that week. The End.

Ships I'm good at are Beronica, Falice, Barchie, Veggie, Jarchie, Jeronica, I'd be willing to watch season 5 to learn about Jabitha so I could write that, Choni, etc.)

i could write it is set to be 10 chapters right now like. firmly enough im gonna update the chapter count to that once chapter 8 is done which probs wont be for a week because i have been travelling but. there will probs be a one shot or two for that universe though, for beronica and maybe donnadrake, and then im gonna move on to my heathers au wip as my main focus cuz that is gonna be a big fic too probably, idk how long but. id guess as long or longer than i could write it. i was gonna wait to publish til i had it done but i might just start releasing 5-10k length chapters whenever im done with i could write it because i already have 3kish written the plot outlined. that one will be like. vughead/jeronica focused with past jarchie but mostly a veronica character study, possibly some background/implied cheronica and beronica but even less than the jarchie which is also minor. it will be insane and i am very excited for it to see the light of day

I definitely want to write some more beronica, for sure! But what's funny is that, although nipple play is one of my favorites, writing it flows easier for me when it's f/m. However, I do have some naughty gifs that are perfect for some w/w + nipple play. Depending on how creative I'm feeling, when and if I ever get to write some beronica, it might end up as a short snippet for the 'betty smut collection' (as I'm calling it for now) since it's been a little easier to get some smut out quicker when I'm not trying to come up with an opening, background info, plot, etc.

betty sighed as she stepped through the door of veronica’s bedroom, after being let into the pembrooke downstairs by smithers. she was there so often he always just sent her upstairs with a kind smile. her bag felt too heavy on her shoulder and her ponytail felt too tight, and she just needed a cozy evening with her girlfriend.

it wasn’t often that betty completely caved under stress, though with everything that was happening with her mother at home, and pressures at school, and not to mention running around trying to find a serial killer; she just needed a break.

veronica was laying across her bed on her stomach with a book in her hands, her silk pyjamas already on, and a matching pair in baby pink were sat on the end of the bed for betty. although betty wasn’t so into material things, it did make her smile that veronica got her little things like that.

“betty you took ages, your tea’s getting cold,” veronica mused as she looked up from her book and over her glasses at betty, though once she’d caught sight of her dishevelled girlfriend she frowned as she sat up more. “mi amor, what’s wrong?”

betty dropped her bag onto the floor with a sigh and all but collapsed into the chair at veronica’s vanity. “i’m so tired, v. everything’s just really stressing me out.” as her head fell into her hands she didn’t see veronica stand up from the bed, though she felt her warm arms wrap around her shoulders and could smell her vanilla perfume as she leaned her head against her chest.

veronica leaned down to press a kiss to the top of betty’s head as her hand gently rubbed up and down her back. “oh darling, i’m sorry,” she could hear her frown through her voice. “why don’t you get changed and comfortable and come cuddle with me, hmm? we can put on a movie and stay in bed this evening. there’s probably still of my mom’s pie left in the kitchen, too.”

betty nodded against veronica’s chest as she leaned into her embrace, though as another kiss was pressed to her forehead she pulled away to look at her girlfriend with a grateful smile. “thanks, v.”

“it’s no problem,” veronica smiled, a bright expression that never failed to make betty at least a tiny bit happier. her girlfriends hand cupped her cheek as a kiss was pressed to her forehead, before she was looking up at her as she smiled again. “get changed and pick a movie to watch. i’ll make you another tea and get us some chocolates.”

betty nodded and watched veronica leave the room with a thankful smile, already feeling better in the presence of her amazing girlfriend.

before long both girls were underneath one of the many fluffy blankets that veronica had stored in her room, legs tangled under the covers as maid in manhattan played in the background. though betty was barely focusing on the movie - although it was one of her favourites - as her attention was instead on the feeling of veronica’s fingers gently combing through her hair.

cuddling up closer to her girlfriend underneath the blanket, a comfortable warmth surrounding her from the fluffy material and the tea she had finished not too long ago, betty tucked her head against her shoulder as her eyes fluttered closed.

“thank you for this.” her whisper was soft as her arms curled around veronica’s waist to hold her close. she was so warm and welcoming, betty could probably fall asleep there and then.

“it’s no problem, love,” veronica whispered, her lips pressed to the crown of betty’s head as she held her tightly to herself. “i’m sorry you’ve been having such a stressful week. if you ever need a break from it all you can come and find me and we can do whatever you want. it’s better than being cooped up in the dusty blue and gold office with jughead complaining about one thing or another.” veronica joked and betty giggled softly.

“thank you,” betty mumbled again, and tilted her head upwards enough to kiss veronica for a moment. she smiled against her lips, feeling warm and comforted as the taste of strawberry lip balm was present. even after she’d pulled away she continued to smile as she tucked her head against her girlfriends shoulder and closed her eyes again, completely relaxed. “i love you so much.”

“i love you too, b,” she could hear the smile in veronica’s voice as she pulled the blanket up them to tuck it around betty. as the blonde started drifting off, she could feel another kiss to the top of her head as the sound of the movie was more a distant blur in the background. “i always will.”

I’m not sure if you have numbers for this but I would be curious to see Beronica and Jarchie numbers on archive of our own in comparison to Barchie, Riverdale’s Greatest Love Story ™️? Something tells me the numbers would be quite high, and they don’t have canon content either. Anyone?

Well a quick look at Ao3 tells me that there are 934 fics tagged as Jarchie and 346 fics tagged as Beronica compared to 884 fics tagged as Barchie.

Of course those numbers are skewed a bit because this also includes fics where these couples are only a background couple or as a past couple with a different ship as endgame. And also some wild OT3 or OT4 fics.

now that i have finally posted ch 3 i feel comfy plugging my jarchie fanfic, it's sort of a college / normal world au but it still engages with riverdale canon somewhat and it has some background/not-endgame jeronica and varchie (along with mentioned choni and background beronica and maybe future agent drake/donna)
