"Why is it that cosmonauts always have girls (daughters)?"
"Maybe because girls are cool."
Most of the pioneering cosmonauts were parents of girls, so here are the proud dads (and mom) and their girls! Happy International Women's Day! 👩🏻🚀💐💫

me 🤝 using neka.cc or picrews to genderbend two of my main OCS because I thought it'd be really cute
And here's the link to the maker!
(I'd like to imagine that gb!Felix would be tiny 4'10"-5'0", a stark contrast to the fact that he's supposed to be 6'7". gb!Elvie would be an average height, around 5'8"-5'10" when she's 5'4")

40 years ago... NASA astronaut Leroy "Gordo" Cooper In 1984, USAF Colonel & veteran NASA astronaut Leroy "Gordo" Cooper appeared in Newsweek magazine, wearing a NASA-distributed Omega Speedmaster 105.003 chronograph. Between his selection among the original "Mercury 7", and his first spaceflight mission in May 1963, Gordo Cooper wore at least 5 different wrist watches. Upon selection we saw a Waltham A17 wrist watch, soon replaced by the bespoke 24 hours dial LeCoultre "astronaut watch", followed by a one-line-dial Accutron, a two-line-dial Accutron Astronaut and his personal Omega Speedmaster CK2998 chronograph. During his "Faith 7" mission, Cooper timed the retro-burn with his wrist watches as he wore an Accutron Astronaut and an Omega CK2998. On Gemini V, Cooper again wore the Accutron Astronaut and a NASA-issued Omega Speedmaster 105.003. In September 1965, during a meeting with the Voskhod II cosmonauts in Athens - Greece, Cooper gifted his Accutron Astronaut to Major Pavel Belyayev, who wore it until 1970. This 1984 photo was taken after Cooper consulted "The Right Stuff" movie and celebrated the 20th anniversary of Faith 7 mission. (Photo: Newsweek)

4,5, 11 and 12 for the "not from the us" ask, if you'd like to? :3
Sure! Спасибо, Blue 💖
4. Favourite dish specific for your country?
I’d say borscht, but this is rather an Ukrainian dish, so I’ll go with the crab salad and meat jelly (?) (or kholodets as we call it here). We make those dishes every year for the New Year celebration in my family, and the crab salad even became a part of my casual menu, so I actually love it a lot.
Oh, and I actually had no idea that curd snacks weren’t popular outside my country, so I’ll mention them, too. I don’t have a single dinner without them.
5. Favourite song in your native language?
The first song that comes to my mind is Scream/Крик by Sergey Lazarev XD because НЕТ ЛЮБВИ - ЛИШЬ ОДНА ТОСКА В СЕРДЦЕ БОЛЬ - ПРАВДА У ВИСКА СЛЁЗЫ СНОВА В ГЛАЗАХ НА МИГ И ОСТАЁТСЯ СО МНОООООЙ МООООЙ КРИИИИИИИИК This is a very powerful song, and I honestly prefer it in Russian than in English.
youtube
I also love Больно, мне больно by Vadim Kazachenko. I set this song as my phone alarm :’D
youtube
I also love the band СЛОТ (Russian rock, yay)! Their songs Круги на воде and Ангел или Демон are fantastic.
youtube
youtube
But honestly, I’ll always be soft to Пролетая над нами by Denis Maydanov because this singer has a very special spot in my heart <3
youtube
11. Favourite native writer/poet?
It’s difficult XD My favourite story is probably A Clump of Lilacs (?) written by Aleksandr Kuprin. This is very simple yet beautiful, although I wouldn’t say Kuprin is my most favourite writer. But maybe I should give his other books a try, too.
Anyway, I like Aleksandr Belyayev. He’s a science fiction writer, and I enjoy this genre, so all the books I read by him are really nice.
And I’ll be boring and also say Mikhail Lermontov. I love him more than Aleksandr Pushkin (I swear not all Russian men are named Aleksandr).
Ajaknfkf I’ll sound stupid by mentioning him, but I just have to. Grigoriy Oster is an author of children’s books, and my most favourite tale in my childhood is written by him. A Kitten Named Woof ❤️ (there’s also a cartoon :3)
12. What do you think about English translations of your favourite native prose/poem?
I don’t think I’m familiar with an English translation of any Russian book, sorry. Buuut I watched a Russian cartoon dubbed in English, and they absolutely messed up the characters’ names, so I’d say I’m not a fan XD
Спасибоньки ещё раз :3
#Ask me anything#Ask game#Ajhdnfjfj sorry for adding all those songs but I just really want you to listen to them :’D#even though you already heard some of them ajhdnfj

An Adam/Blake Gay Subtext in Drunk History Episode 3.13
I've done 15 reviews of Adam Devine's non-Gemstone work. Are you getting tired of them?
I didn't think so.
Drunk History (2013-2019) is a comedy series in which drunken comedians describe historical events to a narrator, in this case Derek Waters (below), who responds approvingly with smiles and laughter. Meanwhile they are acted out by guest stars (with the comedian providing the voices).
In Episode 3.15, "Space," Kyle Kenane tells the stories of Carl Sagan falling in love with Ann Druyan, Werner von Braun inventing rockets, and two Russian cosmonauts becoming the first humans in space. We'll start with the last story.
In 1965, cosmonauts Pavel Belyayev (Adam Devine) and Alexey Leonov (Blake Anderson, his co-star on Workaholics) have nothing going on in their lives, so they volunteer for the space mission. Alexey, in addition, will take a space walk.
They do the standard comedic hand-holding and hugging during the various crises on the flight, but the gay subtext intensifies when they crash-land in Siberia. They are 2,000 kilometers from home, in the middle of mating season. Wolves and bears approach "with raging hard-ons." The guys look at each other, and Pavel says: "I guess we can start with some sweet kisses."
Wait -- do they intend to mate with the animals or with each other? Their expression seems to suggest each other.
Then they are rescued, hug, and receive accolades back home in Moscow. Good luck as a gay couple in 1960s Russia, guys. End of segment.
That's quite a lot of queer codes for six minutes.
The full review of the episode, with nude photos of Nathan Fillion, is on Righteous Gemstones Beefcake and Boyfriends
