[ID: Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne attending the Architectural Fair, where the exhibit ‘Gotham City: Yesterday, Today — And Tomorrow’ is being held. Dick is being a bit of a dick and is unimpressed. He tells Bruce, “I know what these former and present-day houses are like, Bruce! I'd like to see the House Of The Future everybody's talking about!” Bruce excitedly responds, “It's made from a special new lightweight material, stronger than steel!” They walk to a replica of the Wayne Manor! Dick gasps, “Why — there's Wayne Manor! Makes me feel right at home!” Bruce smiles as he admits, “I knew it had been selected for duplication in the exhibit, but I kept it as a surprise for you, Dick!”

Moments later, they walk into the lifesize display of ‘the house of the future’. Dick awes at the features! “Wow! Special panels to show the latest news stories! An inbuilt television set to focus anywhere in the world you want to pick up a channel! Buttons to start food cooking, to clean rooms automatically — but... But... There isn't a single lamp or light bulb anywhere in the room! They forgot to put in the lights!” Bruce responds, “No, they didn't, Dick! Just press that button control on the wall!” Dick does as he's told which causes the walls to start to glow! Dick is amazed at this discovery! “Terrific! No light bulbs to change, nothing to short-circuit, no fuses to blow out!” Bruce tells him it's called ambient luminescence! END ID]
