I've heard a lot of people argue that Baldurs Gate "isn't that gay" unless you choose to romance a companion of the same gender and to all of you I want to say shut up it is actually super gay and that's really fucking refreshing, like, so many characters reference their husband/wife when they are a character that would generally be perceived as male/female (respectively), I can have a nonbinary character that has a male frame and masculine voice and a vulva and (aside from the odd glitch) everyone uses the correct pronouns (i realise that being limited to he/she/they isnt ideal bte) and I can succesfully flirt with whoever I choose (except astarion who rejects me because depite being a hot nonbinary snack im also a sap who keeps disappointing him by being so goody two shoes), honestly we don't need to placate the people complaining about having it "shoved in their face" the correct response is to just thank Larian for including so many queer characters and telling people who have an issue with that to cry more
