I think my least favorite story take of all is the story as traumatogenic fractured-Sam Sybil type of narrative.
#i.e. that everyone is sam or a reflection of ppl sam once knew and it was all sam coming to terms with dean's suicide or something#and he never left the bunker it was all in his head#it's lazy psy-pop#but you can make a complete case for it because that's how stories work#sighs#it always strikes me as IT WAS ALL A DREAM type of narrative#it's very disrespectful to the audience#and it's also so...GREEN?#it's not something a professional writer will reach for#because it's effectively being like Oh mY gOd dIdN't yOu kNoW stories aren't REAL???! LULZ#like every human being on the planet knows what a story is chuckles#you've not uniquely stumbled upon something profound
