can we stop with April Fools forever
#least favourite holiday period#it's just a day I have to be more on edge for#a day where the world feels more malicious#because it becomes okay and normal to do aggressive pranks to people who you don't know#and that just reads as rude#not to mention tumblr doing this fuckass boop thing#im generally not a fan of holidays -#ideally I would prefer it if every day of the year was basically the same as the rest -#but april fools isn't even a fun time in the moment#it's a thing I just sort of dread#im generally not a pranksterish person myself either#they just all feel dickish and I know I wouldn't like to be the target of them#like haha be a dick to your friends we can all laugh about it lol#but it just feels like...I would spend the rest of the day feeling shitty in either position#idk maybe some people like it but personally I would like it if xi jinping liberated me from April fools#with his dongfeng fighter missles#amen.
