Humph!!
Pairing: Seo Changbin x fem! reader
Genre: NSFW! Smut, minimal amount of angst (if you squint), fluff (happy happy ending!); non idol au, enemies to lovers, college au
Warning: Mature content! (DNI if you are uncomfortable or UNDERAGED); language, name calling, reader is kind of a jerk, erotic asphyxiation, use of pets names, hint of degrading, praise kink (implied), fingering (f), oral (f&m), PIV, unprotected sex (be careful with this!), unintended voyeurism (Chan and Jisung accidentally hears reader and Changbin getting it on)
Seo Changbin.
Or as you like to call him, the bane of your existence. You wouldn’t exactly call yourself the ‘petty type’ but how could you ever forget about the boy who pulled on your hair and cut in front of you during lunch time, only to get the last middle piece of pizza- a slice that was supposed to be yours, in middle school? And yes, while it is something so small, so trivial, that you should’ve easily forgotten all about it, you just couldn’t for he just seemed to pop up around you every. single. day. Oh, the list of ways he picked on you could go on and on. It was like whenever he saw you, he just had to push your buttons as if it’s his little demented mission to irk you for the rest of your life.
No one has ever made your blood boil more than he has. It makes your blood boil even more when you, yourself, couldn’t even deny the fact that the once scrawny, immature boy turned to the hottest, most muscular (and fuckable) man you’ve ever seen. Now here you are, as college juniors, and you two are still going at each other’s throats. And of course, no matter how older you get, the two of you will always find time to bicker with each other for the littlest things
“WHAT KIND OF AN IDIOT ARE YOU?” you yell, looking at Changbin in disgust. “WHAT NORMAL HUMAN BEING DOES THAT?!”
He rolls his eyes at you, clicking his tongue, “Well, excuse me for having COLD FEET. SO WHAT YOU THINK ITS WEIRD? I GET COLD EASILY AT NIGHT SO LET ME WEAR MY SOCKS TO SLEEP IN PEACE, WOMAN!” Changbin yells back, glaring at you.
Ahh, yes. Today’s fight is now on whether or not wearing socks to bed is considered ‘abnormal’. Cause what else could you argue about?
“BUT…It’s so WEIRD! Can’t you, like, invest in some thicker blankets instead? There are better options than wearing SOCKS IN BED.”
“WHAT? IS IT A CRIME TO WEAR SOCKS TO-”
Jisung interrupts Changbin by slamming one of his hands down onto the table. “God… SHUT UP! CAN YOU TWO JUST FUCK ALREADY?!” he moans in irritation. Chan lightly shoves Jisung in retaliation, scolding him for being too loud. Jisung looks at him and pouts, mumbling a quick ‘sorry’. Chan sighs, finally looking at your startled faces .
“He’s kinda right though,” he says, calmly, “not exactly about the, uhm, having sex part, though the sexual tension between you two is nauseating. But I mean about getting along with each other and finally putting an end to this ‘rivalry’.”
You and Changbin glance at each other for a brief second before scoffing. “Please. Hell would freeze over before we do,” you sneer, side eyeing him.
“I’d rather kiss an electric eel than make up with that snake of a woman,” Changbin mumbles, looking away from you.
“How about I arrange that for you?” you smile, using the fakest sweet voice you could muster. Changbin turns to you with a scoff.
“You are such a-”
“Enough!” Chan says with a stern tone he almost never uses. The look Chan was giving you both was enough to shut you up and intimidate you; hell even Jisung was scared! “Either make up on your own by the end of the month, or else. Understand?”
Both you and Changbin sigh in irritation before agreeing. “Yes…”
“I mean it! Y/n, Changbin! This is getting ridiculous now. Honestly, you guys are full grown adults but you act like children, and not the good ones! Think of the other people you’re affecting with your behaviors.”
Silence fell upon your whole table. You could only nod your head shamefully at Chan’s words, while Changbin clicks his tongue but not say anything else. Jisung looks around the table, the uncomfortable silence making the poor boy feel antsy.
“Good,” Chan leans back, his cheerful demeanor coming back, “One month, that’s it. And play nice!”
“This is stupid,” Changbin groans, leaning back on his chair. You roll your eyes at him.
“Shut it. Remember, this is for the sake of our friends.”
Ever since that day- the day Chan scared the shit out of you both- you and Changbin made an agreement to try and be civil around one another. It wasn’t very nice, but you both knew Chan was right. You didn’t want to lose your friends because of some stupid rivalry that started 9 years ago. To fix your problem, the two of you, begrudgingly, decided to hangout with each other for the next month. Today marks your one week anniversary of your treaty.
Needless to say…you both hate it.
“If we have to hangout, can we not spend our time in a library?” the short man complains, looking at you with his sharp eyes.
“Well, sorry, but I have a chemistry test in a few days and I’m sure as hell not failing that. You know Science isn’t my best subject.”
Changbin groans, sliding down his chair. “Whatever.” he mutters distastefully. You shook your head.
“Don’t you need to study for anything too?” you asked, not even sparing him a glance.
“No. I’m done with all the tests I have to do and none of my other teachers prepped us for another one. So I’m basically free, doll.”
You cringe at Changbin calling you ‘doll’, hating how that simple pet name sent a delighted shiver down your back. You scoff.
“Disgusting,” you grimace, “Never call me that again.”
Changbin smirks, now sitting up on his chair to lean closer to you. “Whatever you say, doll.”
You look up at him with a nasty glare, resisting the urge to yell at him. “You are so lucky we’re in a library.” He laughs sardonically at you. You huff, standing up to look for a chemistry book. Changbin looks at you questioningly.
“Where’re you going?”
“Looking for more books.”
He sighs, starting to stand up as well. “No,” you stop him, “By myself.” He put his hands up, slowing sitting back down. You turn around and walk to the aisle containing the textbooks. After almost 10 minutes of searching, you still couldn’t find the book you were looking for.
“Damn, I was beginning to think you left me here by myself.”
You jolt at the sound of Changbin’s rough voice. You turn to see him leaning against the bookshelf.
“I’m not that much of a jerk,” you answer scornfully, going back to your search. You could hear Changbin’s heavy footsteps grow closer. You turn to see him standing right beside your crouching figure, looking down at you. The angle you’re seeing him in shouldn’t be making you think of such indecent thoughts. You snap your head back to the shelf as Changbin crouches with you, softly groaning as he goes down. You were trying your best not to make contact with him.
Changbin helps you look for a chemistry book, trying to be nice. You could feel yourself getting hotter at his courteousness. You really didn’t want to admit that Changbin was actually a decent person, so you couldn’t help but put up a front.
“I don’t need your help, you know?”
He sniggers, “I’m not trying to be nice. I just wanna get out of here faster.”
You narrowed your eyes at him, not getting his joke. “Geez, then get away from me,” you raised your voice, still keeping the fact that you’re still in a library in mind. “I can do it myself.”
Changbin looks at you, a little shocked. He huffs, sticking his tongue against his cheek. “Honestly, you don’t have to be such an ass around me all time, you know?” he says, quietly. You stop your actions, feeling a little bad for snapping at him. “You said yourself, you want us to try getting along, why can’t you act like it?”
You bit your bottom lip, still not looking at him. “Simple. It’s cause I hate you,” you lied. He looked at you for a few seconds before standing up. You didn’t see the look of defeat on his face.
“You know,” Changbin says slowly, “I thought we could be friends. Deep down, I really thought we actually could.” You stayed quiet, looking down. “But now I know, you’re really just a stone-cold bitch.”
That. Now that lit a fire in you. You stand up abruptly with cold eyes. “Never call me that ever again.”
“What? A bitch?” He challenges, eyes equally as cold as yours. “See, here’s the thing; It’s true. I’m trying to be nice here and you’re just shutting down every single nice act I try to do for you. And what have you done for me? Drag me around like I’m some dog? You couldn’t even have the decency to even ask where I wanted to go.”
You could feel yourself get smaller and smaller with every step he took closer to you. For someone who was only 5’6”, damn did he look big. You bit the inside of your cheek when you felt your back hit the wall.
“What’s your problem with me, Y/n? I’ve seen the way you are with Jisung and Chan. I’ve seen the way you are with your other friends. I don’t know if you’ve noticed but ever since we started college, I’ve been trying to be nicer to you. But I guess it makes sense that someone as self-centered as you wouldn’t notice.”
You let out a sarcastic “ha”. You shake your head and stare into his eyes. “I told you. I. don’t. like. you. Do I need any more of a reason?”
“Yes. Yes, you do actually.”
“Hm. Find then. You’re annoying, you’re loud, you’re simple-minded, childish, irresponsible, you don’t take things seriously, you’re whiny, messy, irritatingly cocky and seeing your face is just so infuriated that it makes me nauseous,” you list. “Want more?”
The deadly look on his face simultaneously frightens and arouses you. The sarcastic smirk he gave you, though, was hotter. “Continue.”
“You’re nothing but a show off.” With those words, Changbin’s arrogant facade broke. “You act so cool and cocky when really you’re just average at best. Everything you do. Average. You don’t have much to show for. Nothing you do is worth being proud of.”
Changbin slams his hands onto the wall, making you gasp. You stare at him with wide eyes. “Take that back,” he snarls. If you thought he was intimidating before, boy were you wrong. But something in your touch starved mind made you more horny than frightened. Feeling bold, you tilt your chin up, maliciously. “Or what, Seo?”
All of a sudden, he wraps his veiny arm around your neck, choking you. It was so arousing and so sudden that you let out an embarrassingly whiny moan. “Oh?” Changbin raises a brow with a smirk. He tightens his grip on your neck, laughing cockily when you let out another whine. “Oh, I see now,” he whispers in your ear, “You act so high and mighty, always trying to take control of things, when really you’re just some sub in disguise. Isn’t that right, doll?”
You bit your lip, eyes tearing up in sexual frustration. You eyes roll back, biting your lip harder, when his grip on your throat tightens. “Aww~ how cute. You look so pathetic like this, baby,” he says, biting the shell of your ear. You arch your back at the stimulation, grinding your hips into his with a whimper. You were so glad that you were at the farthest corner of the library. Changbin moves away from you and grabs your arm. “Let’s go. We’re leaving.”
He drags you back to your table and carelessly stuffs your belongings into your bag. He slings it over his should and harshly pulls you out of the library. His apartment wasn’t that far from the library so the two of you didn’t bother picking up a cab. The walking distance between the library and his house was only about 10 minutes or less, but to you guys, it felt like hours.
Changbin fumbles with his keys, wanting to unlock the door faster. When he succeeds, he pushes you inside, slamming and locking his door roughly. He throws your bag to the ground then proceeds to pull you into his room. He turns the knob and kicks his door open.
Once inside, he pushes you onto his bed, hovering above you. The two of you were panting heavily from the tension. “Please tell me to stop,” he breathes shakily, staring at your lips, finally saying his first words since the library. “If you don’t want this, tell me to stop before I lose it.”
Did you really want this? Do you really want him? Or is it just your hormones talking? You contemplate, thinking back on all the years you’ve known him. Yeah, you thought that he was annoying when you were younger, wanting nothing more than to push him down a well. However, as you grew up, you started to notice how mature he has gotten throughout the years. He still does make fun of you, but it wasn’t as bad as before. He did treat you like an actual human being when he wasn’t irritating you. Especially recently. He really did treat you nicely but you were too prideful yourself to admit that.
Even up to now, you said some really hurtful things to him, and he was still making sure you were okay when he could’ve just lashed out on you and done whatever he wants. Changbin is genuinely a really nice guy and you were just too stuck up to see that. In that moment, you realize that you actually like Changbin, as in, have genuine feelings for him. Maybe even way longer than you realize but you were being stubborn to acknowledge it. Speaking of, you seem to realize that you were so lost in thought that Changbin took your silence as a ‘no’.
Just as he was about to remove himself from your body, you grab onto his shirt and push your lips onto his. He was taken aback. He was convinced that you truly didn’t like him but you seem to have proved him wrong. Before he could kiss you back, you parted away from him, leaning your forehead against him. “Make me yours, Bin,” you whisper.
Without any hesitation, Changbin kisses you with fervor. The kiss held so much passion, desperation, and desire that it made you moan. You wrap your arms around his neck, messing with his dark hair. Changbin groans, grinding his hips against yours. He pulls away to take off your shirt and start marking you up. You mewl, feeling him suck, lick, and kiss your neck.
One particular suck on the juncture of your neck made you moan out loud. He smiles against your skin, taking extra time on that area. You cry out, pulling on his hair to get his attention. “Changbin…” you say breathlessly. He looks up and nearly loses it on the spot. You laying underneath him, neck covered with sexy red marks that he created. You already look so dazed out that Changbin wonders how much more beautiful you will look when he actually fucks you.
He moves up to your face, stroking your hair. “What’s wrong, doll?” he questions you softly. You whimper as you roll your hips up to meet his. Changbin hisses at the feeling.
“Inside,” you whine, “Want you inside me, please.”
“Do you now?” Now his tone was condescending. You pout, nodding your head. “Cute. What makes you thing that I’d just give it to you after how much of a brat you were earlier?” You rub your thighs together, pouting.
Tears starts forming in your eyes. “Please? I’m sorry for being a brat. I’ll make it up to you, I promise!”
Changbin chuckles darkly. “Oh, you will, doll,” he says, rubbing both your thighs. He glances up at you to read your expressions, only continuing when you gave him a confirming nod. He sits up and takes off your pants. He chuckles, licking his lips when he realizes that your bra and panties were a matching set. “How adorable.” he sings, making you flustered.
Changbin kisses your stomach before slipping his hand down your panties. You clench your thighs, trapping his hand, as he plays with your clit. He rubs slow circles on your clit, stroking your slit before sliding one finger inside you. You grab a fistful of his bed sheets, moaning. He lazily moves his finger in you, adding another one to fill you up a little more. You were already breathless. Your sweet moans filling up the entire room. Changbin starts to move his fingers faster, bending them, making you arch your back and whine louder.
You could already feel your high getting closer. You start squirming around in response. “Close, baby?” he asks, rhetorically. You nod your head frantically.
“Y-yes, fuck. Oh shi- yes.”
Changbin pumps his fingers faster for you, feeling yourself clenching tighter and tighter before you finally cum around them. He lets you ride out your high before slipping out of you. He brings his fingers to your lips, prying them open. “Open up, doll.” You let his fingers inside your mouth, swirling your tongue around his digits, tasting yourself, making the two of you groan. He pulls his fingers out of your mouth, sliding down so his face meets your wet core.
You look down at him, questioningly. You were about to ask him what he was doing until he licks up your slit. Your eyes widened as you threw your head back, letting out a moan loud enough that it borderline sounded like a scream. His tongue explores your pussy, occasionally sucking on your clit as you pant.
“N-no,” you stammer, “that’s not-n-no. I-I’m still sensi-ah!” You grip his hair, not sure if you’re trying to push him away or pull him closer. Changbin chuckles at this, the vibrations from it shooting up your core. Your sensitivity from your first orgasm brought you closer to your next release. You start bucking your hips, thighs closing in on his head as your core tightens. He grabs your thighs, prying them open. One last harsh suck on you clit made you cum again, this time on his tongue. Changbin licks up your slit, gathering up every single drop of your juices.
He sits up and smiles at you, his chin covered with your excess wetness. He rubs your thighs to calm you down. “You good, Y/n?” he worryingly asks, “Think you can handle one more?” You lazily nod your head, a little overwhelmed with the over sensitivity. Changbin wipes his mouth before crawling back to your face. He kisses you leisurely, taking his time with your lips to give you more time to calm down.
You hold onto his muscular biceps as he cups your face. You were still panting harshly even before he started making out with you. He peppers your face with gentle pecks, encouraging you to continue. “How ‘bout now? Can you handle one more orgasm, babe?”
This time, you could actually reply to him. “Y-yeah. ‘Think I can.” you said, quietly. Changbin smiles and gives you one more peck on your lips. He leans up and takes off his clothes. Even after two orgasms, you still felt needy for Changbin. Your eyes rake down his form, eyeing each one of his bulging muscles. Damn, no wonder why he’s always bragging about going to the gym everyday, cause he has every right to do so.
Now, if you thought his body was impressive, then his cock was another story. Your eyes widens, breath hitching when you see it. Holy shit, now I know why he’s so short, you thought. He has a monster cock that totally makes up for it. “Holy fuck-“ Changbin looks at you with a smirk.
“What’s wrong, doll? Bigger than you expected?” You nod dumbly, mouth ajar. Changbin could feel his ego skyrocketing. He pumps himself, throwing his head back in pleasure, finally feeling some kind of pleasure before lining himself to your hole. He adjusts his position, spreading your legs wider as well. “I’ll go as slowly as I can,” he mutters. You mumble a quiet ‘thank you’ as he starts pushing in.
Your mouth opens in a silent scream, eyes clenching as you try to take him in fully. Changbin moans rather loudly, your tightness a little too much for him. “W-wait. Fuck…” you call out with slight hiss. He stops his penetration, waiting for you to adjust. Your grip on his shoulders tightens, silently giving him the ok to move. He continues his advancement slowly until he bottoms out inside you. The both of you moan, giving each other time to relax.
Changbin leans down to kiss your cheek, whispering encouraging words to you. You stay in your positions for almost a minute before pleading for Changbin to move. At first, his thrusts were slow, testing out how well you could take him in for now. You moan softly, the way his hips move softly is already shooting bursts of pleasure throughout your body. Gradually, he picks up his pace, his once slow, loving thrusts are now hungry, desperate ones.
His hands were now on the back of your thighs, folding you in half. The new position allows him to reach deeper inside you. “B-bin,” you whine, clawing at his back, “hmm…fuck. M-more. Fuck me harder.”
“Harder? You really think your pretty little pussy can handle my cock, doll?”
“Yes! P-please g-give me more. I can handle i-it!”
Changbin laughs at your desperation, picking up his pace. You moan louder, moving your hips to meet his thrusts. Changbin’s soft moans and growls and your own whiny moans filled his bedroom. Neither of you knew who would break first, both of your releases nearing. The tip of his cock starts hitting right on your sweet spot, making you scream. He throws his head back with a loud, raspy moan when he feels you tightening around him.
“I’m s-so fucking close, Bin,” you cry, “Don’t s-stop!”
“My, what a desperate slut you are.”
He bites his lip, hips moving harder and deeper, as he leans closer to kiss you. Remembering the scene from the library, Changbin’s right hand snakes around your neck, firmly but gently choking you.You let yourself enjoy the feeling of him blocking your airways, closing your eyes in pleasure. You whine loudly when he slips his tongue in your mouth. You let him explore your wet cavern, loving the feeling. Your eyes shot open when you felt his thumb playing with your clit.
“Sh-shit! Changbin!” You moan, arching your back. You could feel the beginnings of your release.
“C’mon, beautiful,” Changbin whispers, “Cum for me.” His words seem to have triggered your orgasm. Your body went stiff, cumming around his cock, mumbling a bunch of expletives. You start trembling, the feeling of your orgasm was too intense. Changbin hisses, pulling himself out of you when he felt his own release nearing.
He pulls you up, pushing your head close to his throbbing dick. Getting the memo, you lean down and take him into your mouth. You bob your head up and down as you pump the rest of his cock. Changbin moans, his rough hand in your hair. He starts rocking his hips, pushing himself deeper into your mouth. One harsh tug on your scalp made you moan, the vibrations sends waves of pleasure down his cock making him throw his head back yet again.
“What a dirty little girl,” he pants heavily. “Love my cock that much, huh, doll?” Tears pool your eyes as you try humming in agreement. The second round of vibrations sent Changbin over the edge. Hot spurts of cum shoots down your throat. He holds your head in place until he finishes cumming. “That’s it, beautiful. Swallow it all. Don’t let anything go to waste.”
He lets go of your head and gently pushes you down his bed. He cups your cheek, rubbing it tenderly with his thumb. Changbin reaches behind you to unclasp your bra, throwing it down onto his floor and rubbing at your breast to soothe you, only letting go of them when you let out an uncomfortable whine. He moves up to your face and kisses you softly.
“Are you okay, Y/n?” he questions you. You nod, too fucked out to respond verbally. Changbin giggles, moving to lay beside you and petting your hair as you calm yourself. You turn your body to hug his, slightly catching him off guard. He immediately relaxes, however, and continues stroking your hair. The two of you lay comfortably until Changbin broke the silence.
“Did you mean it?” he asks, quietly. You note the tone of uncertainty in his words. Your eyes meet his in question.
“Mean what?” you slur, still having a bit of trouble talking.
“Did you mean what you said in the library? Do you really hate me? Was this just a…one time thing?”
You look at him sadly, his expression matching yours. He didn’t want this to be just a one night stand. He genuinely wants to be friends with you. Scratch that, he wants to be even more than that. You nibble on your lips, shaking your head.
“No…I don’t actually hate you…Yeah, you piss me off a lot but…I can’t actually hate you,” you say, moving your hands to cup his face. You could feel Changbin leaning into your touch. “Honestly, I don’t even remember when I started liking you. I guess I only just realized it now when you pushed me onto your bed.”
Changbin moves away from you in shock. “You…like me?” You timidly nod your head, a little embarrassed now. He lets out the biggest smile you’ve ever seen on him and kisses you. This time, this kiss was soft, filled with so much love and unsaid feelings. You giggle into the kiss, holding his face. Changbin pulls away from you and rests his forehead against yours, his eyes twinkling in joy. “You have no idea how happy I am to hear that.”
You smile, moving to peck his lips. “I’m sorry,” you tell him, “For everything I said. It was uncalled for and kinda mean. Scratch that, I really was a fucking bitch to you. You didn’t deserve that.”
Changbin hums, rubbing your back. “It’s okay. I’m sorry too. I get why you said all that. I mean, this whole rivalry started ‘cause of me, so this was kinda my fault to begin with.”
“No, it’s not. We both brought this upon ourselves, Bin, so we’re both at fault.”
“I guess…Let’s just start over?”
You contemplate. “I think,” you start cautiously, “It’s better if we don’t.”
“Huh?” Changbin was confused. “What do you mean no?”
“I mean, I don’t really want to forget about our past and pretend our years of bickering never happened. We already fell for each other’s bad qualities, so why should we, you know? There’s nothing for us to hide at this point.”
Changbin had a look of realization on his face, drawing out a long ‘ah’. “I like that,” he laughs. “You’re right. Let’s do that!” He pulls you closer to his broad chest, kissing the top of your head. He hugs your form tighter, as if he was afraid that this was a dream. “Oh yeah, what’re we gonna tell Chan and Jisung when we show up together all lovey-dovey?” he wonders out loud.
“No need to tell us anything!” a voice sounding a lot like Jisung’s calls out from the other side of Changbin’s door. “We’ve been home for 15 minutes now. We heard almost everything! Chill out goddamnit!” You both could hear Chan in the distance, yelling at Jisung for saying that while he goes on about how you two “actually did it, they finally got laid!”.
“Oh my god…” you groan in mortification while Changbin drowns with laughter. You hide your face on Changbin’s chest, feeling it shake from his laughs. “Looks like we got that down!” he jokes. You slap his chest with a whine.
Yup. Today now marks the end of the Seo-L/n war, and damn were you glad it did.

Betrayus seemed a little mad at Muriel's dry attitude, like thinking she wasn't giving a care about his feelings.
– Agh... you know, whatever, that's not important.. you're were just paid to control me
Betrayus's mad expression changed in a melancholic one, something Muriel noticed quickly, then she said him with a warm voice tone and a clumsy smile.
–Don't worry, i will not judge you, even when my work is hear your problems and understand you to then give you dry advices, i really want to help you, i know so well how do you feel, I'm sorry if I sounded like i didn't care, Heh.. This is my first work day and you my first patient, hehe–
Betrayus was embarrassed but relieved at the same time –R-Really?, Oh dang I'm really sorry, i didn't know..–
–No no no, it's okay, it was my fault– Muriel was still with a dummy smile, something that Betrayus saw with tenderness
–Heh at least that confirms me that you're really interested in help me–
She chuckled –Yeah i guess, hehehe
And we'll continuing this, tell me what are the things wich makes you shine?–
–Things wich makes me shine?– he asked confused
–You know, your skills, in what things you are good for– she answered chuckling
–Ooh!, I get it, heh.. well I'm good in lenguage, History, Gambling, Pac pong...well.. uhm.. I don't like it anymore... Also literature and writing, I'm kinda freaky with that..–
Suddenly Betrayus noticed a familiar book from the mini library behind Muriel's.
–Is that?.. No way! Is that the Divine Comedy book!?– He said on a impressed and kinda freaky tone.
–Y-yeah wow I thought I was the only weirdo by reading that book– she was impressed as well.
–Same old, Girl!
Both started sharing their tastes having the surprise that their tastes were the same as each other while they were yelling as bakudeku fangirls.
The hours have passed and Rotunda went to take Betrayus to home.
–Im back, Im sorry if he caused you problems– Rotunda said trying to be nice.
–Ohh Miss he wasn't giving me problems, he behaved really good– She answered keeping herself as professional
Rotunda just paid the date to Muriel and left with Betrayus.
Muriel just sighs of satisfaction at watching his first patient smiling before Left.
"He has a really precious smile".
Muriel have attended another 3 patients more until the day ended, she just left the building of her office to then left to a Cabaret club where she worked to pay her career and getting psychiatrist title, work wich still he is having for actually any Monday night. Sometimes to strip or filming adult movies, Always wearing a wolf mask to hide her identity as well keeping her work as psychiatrist. It's almost hard to say if she hated her job in that Cabaret.
She ended and Left safety to her department to just feed her wolfdog Yūu, take a bath and fall sleep cuddling with Yūu waiting for the next day.
In the timelapse of the days Muriel and Betrayus continued their meetings, sometimes with Muriel taking Yūu to the meetings to give a fluffy support to Betrayus, Muriel became into a big emotional support to Betrayus as well her best friend. Something big was growing up between them.
The 2 months have passed so Muriel will give Rotunda the Diagnosis of Betrayus.
Betrayus: hehe then i told her.. Don't move, and she moved and fell from the stairs.
Muriel: Unholy Satan hahahaha... Heheh.. Hey, did anyone told you that you have a beautiful smile?
Betrayus: R-really?.. thank you..*Blushes* no one told me that before...
Muriel: they lost it. *Smiles too*
Betrayus: you know.. you have a beautiful smile too Muriel.
She blushes as well.
Muriel: i want to see you smile Betrayus..
Betrayus: me too
The door was knocked, It was Rotunda and Stratos to take Betrayus to home as well to know the final diagnosis of Betrayus.
Muriel:*opens the door* come in.
Rotunda: thanks to take me Stratos sweetie.
Stratos: always for you Mom.
Rotunda: Tray Tray, wait outside, we have something important to tell with the doctor.
Betrayus: I'm not a child mom...
Betrayus goes outside and sits in the waiting room, near to the door to hear the conversation, suddenly Yūu appears in front him and gives him warm company.
Meanwhile Rotunda and Stratos were waiting for Betrayus's Diagnosis.
Rotunda: Tell me Doctor, what's the problem with my son, did he behaved bad?
Muriel: Oh no, he is a really nice guy but there's the problem.. he has light Depression attacks but it's not too serious in his case, he doesn't need medicine or something... But the only thing he needs is real attention and affection, something wich you clearly don't give him.
Rotunda: Aghh that's fake!
Stratos: but that's not right, it's just a bratty of him.
Muriel: and... Have you asked it what's the origin of his "Bratty"?.
Stratos: well uhh...
Rotunda: uhmm... Because yes?..
Muriel: *she is mad but keeping herself professional* that doesn't have a sense, no one can have a problem or issue because yes, there always a why, the reason of your son's "Bratty" it's because of the rejection and contempt you give him because of something is not his fault, like the death of your husband, being born after the death of your husband doesn't make him a curse, he is a gift your husband left you before his death, but you prefer to see him in that way, as your husband would liked you to do that to his son.
Rotunda was completely mad so she answered that by slapping Muriel, Stratos was shocked as well Betrayus wich was hugging Yūu stoping her to attack Rotunda.
Stratos: M-Mom..
Rotunda: don't talk about my husband!! you can't tell me how to rise my children, you're not a mother to know that!!.
Muriel:... Maybe I'm not a mother, if i were one i will not treat my children as a bullshit, i would treat them with love.. as my mother used to do
Rotunda: Arrgghh... This is a Nonesense... Stratos take me home..
Stratos: y-yes Mom..
Rotunda have left the office just to meet up with a angry Yūu, Muriel noticed that and ran off the office to calm down Yūu.
Muriel: Yūu-Min No! Calm down Girl, calm down...
Yūu calms down and looks at Betrayus worried.
Stratos;*sneezes* Wolf!!...
Rotunda: Ahh! Beast!!
Muriel;*lies* its actually, an Malamute Alaskan.
Betrayus: i heard everything... Mom.. it's not my fault my dad died, and you know what? I'm tired of you and your bullshit about me!!
Stratos: Betrayus don't speak in that tone to our mother!!!.
Betrayus: *mocks* don't speak in that tone to our mother.. you are just defending her because "you are his favorite child"...
Rotunda: that's it! Betrayus you better take your stuff and leave the house!
Betrayus: in that it's the only thing I can agree with you, mother.
Rotunda: hah, i doubt you can live without me.
Muriel: well, he can live in my department, i have a extra room there.
Betrayus: R-really Muriel? Can I?.
Muriel: Sure.
Rotunda: Fine! Go with your Slut, if she can bear with you.
Muriel: at least bear with me "a slut" it's better to bear with a witch like you.
Stratos: that's enough! Mom... Let's go..
Stratos have left with Rotunda.
Muriel: uff finally...
Betrayus:*hugs her tightly* .. thank you.. Thank you so much Muriel.
Muriel: *hugs back* your welcome...
After that Betrayus started living with Muriel in her apartment as her Roommate, Betrayus find a work as pizza Delivery guy.
Where their story started and their relationship evolved into real love.
To be continued...
Extra:
Muriel and Betrayus have left a bakery with a box of chocolate donuts.
Bully1: hey Babe, what if you leave this white loser and come with a real man~?.
Betrayus; Aghh.. not him..
Muriel: Tray Tray.. hold my donuts *give him the box of donuts*
Betrayus: Muriel?...
Muriel starts beating up the guy to make him Run.
Betrayus:... She is a real lady~♥

A Musical: Sanders Sides Edition
A/N: Okay so! I’ve had this idea in my head for literal years. Ever since I first discovered this song, anyway. I have the entire thing saved to my mind, and i just had to find a way to write it so i could share this idea. Really the only way i could think to do that where it made sense was through a script format, seeing as this song is from, well, a musical.
now, no, I am not experienced in writing scripts. This is my first real time at trying to write something like this, so be kind. I did my best, I used one of my old musical scripts for reference.
And yes, i know, it is impossible to get through exactly what i picture when I listen to this song and imagine what happens. Some of this might not even make sense to some of you. I can’t animate or draw so this is my version of it.
here is a video of the performance of the song
here is a video of all the musical references in it
Here is the original cast recording of the song
I highly recommend listening to the song before, during, and after reading this. It will probably help you.
We’re in Daydream Mode. The Main Four Sides are standing on a stage. The curtain is drawn, and the light is focused on the four. Logan and Virgil stand stage left, Roman and Patton stage right. Roman and Patton are facing the other two
Virgil, confused: What the hell are musicals?
Logan, in a matter of fact tone: It appears to be a play where the dialogue stops, and the plot is conveyed through song
Virgil: Through song?
Logan: Yes
Virgil: Wait, so an actor is saying his lines, and then out of nowhere he just starts singing?
Logan: Yes
Virgil: Well that is the
Patton and Roman lean forward with hopeful and eager faces
Virgil, still speaking: stupidest thing that I have ever heard
Patton and Roman look disappointed
(Patton: he’s not getting it)
(Roman: oh don’t worry, he will)
Virgil, speaking: You're doing a play, got something to say. So, you sing it?
Logan nods in agreement
Logan: It's absurd.
Logan: Who on earth is going to sit there while an actor breaks into song?
Logan: What possible thought could the audience think, Other than "This is horribly wrong"?
Roman rises up beside him suddenly, putting an arm around his shoulder.
Roman: Remarkably? They won't think that
Virgil, looking incredulous: Seriously? Why not?
Roman, singing: Because it's a musical
Patton, singing: A musical
Roman: And nothing's as amazing as a musical
Patton: With song and dance
Roman: And sweet romance
Patton: And happy endings happening by happenstance
Roman: Bright lights, stage fights, and a dazzling chorus. You wanna be great? Then you gotta create a musical
Virgil, speaking: I don't know, I find it hard to believe that people would actually pay to see something like this
Roman: Let's just say it's a Saturday night and you wanna go out on the town
Remus, appears suddenly and pushes Roman out of the way
Remus: Got a lady to flatter who might give it up if you don't let her down
Logan looks confused
Logan: We are gay.
Remus ignores him.
Remus: You could go see a tragedy
Patton frowns at Remus
Patton: But that wouldn't be very fun
Roman, pops back up to try to take back control
Roman: Or a play from Greek mythology
Remus, delightedly: See a mother have sex with her son
The Main Four make a face of disgust. Roman glares at Remus before stepping in front of him, blocking him from view.
Roman: You could see a drama
With all of the trauma and pain
Patton: Or go see something more relaxing and less taxing on the brain
As he sings ‘brain’ he appears behind Logan and massages his temples, causing Logan to shrug him off
Patton, appearing beside Roman again: Go see a musical
Roman: A musical
Patton: A puppy piece, releasing all your blues-icals
Logan winces and shakes his head at the pun
Patton: Where crooners croon
Chorus, appearing out of nowhere and startling Logan and Virgil: (ah)
Roman: A catchy tune
Remus, popping up in between Logan and Virgil: And limber-legged ladies thrill you 'til you swoon
Logan: I cannot stress this enough, we are gay
The music vamps for a moment as Remus scoffs
Remus: Stop being so logical, Logic
He disappears again as Roman and Patton pop up in front of Logan and Virgil, who both look startled, Logan still a little annoyed.
Roman: Oohs, ahhs, big applause, and a standing ovation
Patton and the chorus: The future is bright
If you could just write a musical
Logan leans over to Virgil
Logan: we have technically already written one
Virgil shakes his head
Virgil: just indulge them, it’s almost over.
Patton: Some make you happy
He holds up the smiling drama mask in front of his face
Roman: Some make you sad
He holds up the frowny drama mask in front of his face
Roman: Some are quite big
He throws his arms wide
Patton: Some quite small
He pinches his fingers together and scrunches his shoulder
Roman: Some are too long
Patton: Some are just plays with song (chorus: oh)
Roman: Some musicals have no talking at all
Logan: No talking at all?
Roman: That's right
The music changes and a single spotlight comes down on Roman while the other three watch, Logan and Virgil with trepidation, Patton with bright eyes
Roman: There's no talking
Roman: All of the dialogue is sung
Roman: In a very dramatic fashion
Virgil exchanges looks with Logan
Virgil: Uhm, really?
Roman: Yes, really
Virgil: There's no talking
Roman starts the next line almost talking over Virgil, who looks surprised to be cut off
Roman: There's no talking
Roman: And they often stay on one note for a very long time
Roman: So when they change to a different note, you notice
Roman: And it's supposed to create a dramatic effect
Roman: But mostly you just sit there asking yourself
Roman: "Why aren't they talking?"
Logan, muttering: Sounds miserable
Patton, leaning into him: I believe it's pronounced Misérable
Logan pinches the bridge of his nose with a sigh
Virgil: And people actually like this?
Roman breaks off of his serious face and turns to Virgil, the lights coming back up
Roman: No, they love it, and what's not to love?
Patton loops his arm through Virgil’s crossed ones, startling Virgil.
Patton: It's such a delight
Patton: There's nothing quite like a musical
Roman, speaking: Oh, another vision, I haven't even told you the best part yet. Patton, help me out!
Logan: There’s more?
Patton: oh you bet!
Patton: Feel that fascinating rhythm moving to your feet
Patton starts dancing
Patton: Whoa, whoa
Virgil: (uhm, what is that?)
Remus, appearing again: Feel your ass gyrating to that titillating beat
(Logan, more concerned than anything: whoa are you okay?)
Patton tries to subtly push Remus away as his dancing becomes more provocative
Patton: You slap your lap
Roman and Patton pat their laps
Patton: Then fingers snap
They snap their fingers
Patton: That's when you know it's time to tap, he starts tapping oh
Virgil: What the hell are you doing now?
Patton taps around them as they talk
Logan: It's called a dance break
Logan: Apparently this happens in musicals as well
Logan: People on stage just burst into spontaneous dance
Virgil: Why? Does it advance the plot? (Logan: No)
Virgil: Advance character? (Logan: Not necessarily)
Virgil: Then why do it?
Roman, popping up in between them: Because! it's entertaining! five, six, seven, eight
Curtains behind them come up revealing the entire chorus tapping, Patton center stage. Roman joins in as Virgil and Logan move stage left to watch with raised eyebrows. Remus can be seen in the back, dressed like a showgirl but still in his colors.
Roman: Another vision
Logan and Virgil: oh no
Roman: It's a musical
Patton: Whaddya talk, whaddya talk
Roman: It's a musical
Patton: A Suessical?
Roman: No, a musical with girls on stage
Chorus: A musical
Roman: We've got snappy repartees
Remus, appears beside him still in his showgirl outfit, and rests an arm on Roman’s shoulder
Remus: And the women are risqué
Roman smoothly moves and Remus falls over
Roman: And the chorus boys are kind of gay
Logan: that is a stereotype
Chorus, interrupting him: A musical
Patton: A true, blue, new musical
Roman: Stand back, it's a musical
Seasons of Love music starts playing and Patton straightens and puts on a ‘serious’ face
Patton: Some musicals are very serious
Roman: A big, glittering musical
Roman and chorus: A musical
Patton and the chorus line up in front of Virgil, Logan, and Roman, all with buckets, and kneel down as ‘It’s a Hard-knock Life’ starts playing.
Patton and chorus: It's a musical for us
They all get up and scatter, Roman tossing the bucket Patton forgot to a member of the chorus
Patton: A big and shiny
Patton: Mighty fine-y, glitter, glitz, and chorus line-y
Patton: Bob your head and shake your hiney musical
Roman pops up beside Logan
Roman: It's a musical (chorus: it's a musical)
Patton pops up beside Virgil
Patton: It is a musical (chorus: it's a musical)
Virgil throws his arms up in defeat
Virgil: Okay fine!
Patton and Roman’s faces light up as they mirror their hopeful looks from the beginning of the song. Logan continues to look either bored or incredulous
Virgil, begrudgingly singing: We'll do a musical (Patton, grinning: no kidding!)
They all look at Logan, who sighs
Logan, still speaking: A musical
Roman, excitedly: What could be more amazing than a musical?
Logan, muttering: I could think of a few things
Patton and Roman start shimming their shoulders
Patton: With song and dance
Roman: And sweet romance
Virgil, admitting defeat: And with a musical we might have half a chance (Logan: at what?!)
Patton, Roman, and Virgil: Oohs, ahhs, big applause with everyone cheering for us
Kick line music kicks in. Logan and Virgil look around startled and surprised as Roman and Patton start pulling them upstage
Roman: And for some unexplainable reason
Roman: The crowd goes wild every time
Roman: When dancers kick (roman and Patton kick) in unison (kick) in one big wonderful line
The lights come up again and there’s a kickline, again with Remus there standing out in his green and black showgirl outfit
Logan is being pulled into the kickline, and he looks unsure about it
Logan: I don’t think
Roman: it’s too late you already agreed!
All (except Logan): And then you got yourself a musical
We see Logan watching the other kick, still looking unsure
All: A musical
All: A la, la, la, la, la, la, la palooza-sical
Logan starts trying to join with the kicking, but keeps coming in a little late
All: With splashy style and a big fake smile
All: A snazzy pants, some jazzy hands, I swear that I'll
The kickline breaks up just as Logan has got the hang of it. He looks annoyed about it
Roman and Patton: Cross my heart, hope to die if it isn't a doozy
Virgil: now let’s not make any promises
Patton puts his arm around Virgil’s shoulders
Patton: Take it from me
Roman appears on the other side
Roman: They'll be flocking to see
Roman and Patton: Our star lit
Roman and Patton: Won't quit
Roman and Patton: Big hit
Roman and Patton: Musical
A Chorus Line music kicks in. Logan and Virgil look confused as Roman, Patton, and the chorus members all freeze and hold up playbils to their face before resuming like nothing happened.
All: A big hit musical!

September - Yanan (pt. 2)
Part 2 out of 3; ~ 4.8k words
[Part 1]; [Part 3]
Starting Wednesday, I spent almost a whole four days hiding from my entire family that I did, in fact, fail my exam a second time, and with it the whole class. Carrying the shame of it by myself wasn’t easy, but it was still a whole lot better than being found out. However, I couldn’t keep up the pretend forever. We were having early dinner on Saturday, so that I would have the chance to leave the house on time. Everything was normal, my eldest brother got scolded for not putting up the dishes perfectly (I didn’t see a difference to when our mother did it, but she insisted he didn’t do it properly), the younger one got scolded for playing games all day and being the last one to sit down at the table, and my dad got scolded for not saying his thanks for the food loudly enough. The only one who skipped the routinely verbal abuse was me. My mother looked at me fondly as we were eating, babbling on about how she was curious who that young man called Yanan I was going out with was, what his face looked like, if he was smart, rich, etc., while I begged her to quiet down as I could already hear the teasing of my brothers that would surely follow. And then came the dreaded question. As soon as she had finished asking, I stopped in the middle of lifting a scoop of rice up to my mouth and froze up, breaking out in cold sweat.
“…did it not go well? Your exam,” my mother repeated her question, assuming I hadn’t heard her the first time. But I had. I had heard perfectly, actually.
“U-uhm…” I considered lying in my panic. But that just scared me more. I knew I was a bad liar, and I knew she would probably disown me if she found out. Suddenly feeling sick in the stomach, I set down my chopsticks and with a low head I answered, “N-no.”
“Did you not get a good grade? But you surely passed, right?” Oh I hated when she was doing this. She already knew that I failed, didn’t she? Then why make me say it?
“Not really, no…” I answered. My voice wasn’t anything but a whimper by now, the fear clenching my throat so I couldn’t breathe properly. She didn’t say anything to that, but by her piercing stare I could feel she was waiting for me to say them. To say those dreaded, shameful words, that would serve as the starting shot for her to explode. But it was inevitable anyway. Finally, I closed my eyes for a moment to prepare me for what was to come, and took a deep breath.
“I failed.” For one peaceful moment the room fell completely silent, then the loud voice of my angered mother sent me right back to reality.
“You did what…?!” she shouted across the table and I noticed my father and brothers ducking away. “You think you can allow yourself to bring such disgrace upon our name? Upon our family?!” The fury in her eyes scared me no less than it usually did when she had her outbreaks, but this time I felt even smaller compared to her because her shouting was directed exclusively at me. She repeatedly made sure to let me know that I was an embarrassment, not worth living under her roof, that I threw away all the years she raised me with time and effort, and that I was not only an academical failure, but also a failure as her daughter.
“Do you even know how much pain that brings me?! I am trying to depend on you to do something right! Studying is literally the only duty you have in this house, and you throw that away like it is nothing!” She jumped up and slammed her hands on the table so that the dishes rattled and her own chopsticks fell off the bowl she had temporarily put them on. “You know what?” she then said, this time with a more silent voice, seeming as if she had calmed down, but really I knew from experience that nothing good could come out of her mouth anymore now. “If you can’t even take studying seriously, then you’re also not worth enjoying yourself.” She put a pause there and I raised my eyebrows. My mind went blank for a second, and even though I should’ve predicted her next words, they still hit me like a ton of bricks. “You’re grounded.”
Side-eyeing the dress still hanging on the inside of my door and suppressing my tears, I took out my phone. I would have to tell him that I got grounded, but everytime I reread our last messages, and how much he was looking forward to this evening, telling him the truth got infinitely harder. I looked out of the window and the heavy clouds hanging in the evening sky make my mood sink a little lower. What do I do? When my look fell to the handle of the window in front of me, I got an idea. A very stupid one, but still an idea.
I opened the door to my room slightly to check if there was anyone outside. I could hear my mother still doing the dishes in the kitchen but other than that, everyone seemed to be busy elsewhere. I silently walked out of my room and snuck downstairs, peeking into the kitchen to see her back directed at me. I walked past the entrance with a fuzzy feeling in my stomach that was about to kill me from nervousness, but I managed to grab my coat from the entrance and silently ran back into my room. After closing the door behind me, trying to make as little noise as possible, I leaned against it and took a few deep breaths to calm my racing heartbeat. My heated up cheeks stayed hot while I put on some light make up and slipped into the dress. I threw the coat over my shoulders and closed its buttons, tying the attached belt tightly. Before grabbing my handbag with one hand and my shoes with the other, I opened the window above my desk. If I’m careful I should make it out without being noticed, I thought to myself and prayed that I was right. So I stepped out onto the roof, feeling the cool tiles on my feet and another wave of adrenaline rushed through my body. My heart about to leap out of my chest, I carefully made my way down to the edge, where I let my bag and shoes fall onto the ground first. Then I took a deep breath and grabbed the gutter, slowly descending my body and eventually letting go to land with my feet in the grass. I picked up my stuff and put on my shoes that made me a little taller than I actually was thanks to the heels, then I took off running.
Worried and out of breath, I arrived at our meeting point, in front of the stairs leading to platform B. I wondered if Yanan had waited for me, since I was terribly late, and when I didn’t find him among the people surrounding the station, it hit me like a punch to the face.
“I let him down… what do I do?” I worriedly mumbled and got out my phone to call him and apologize. That’s when I stopped moving my hand for a moment because another unwelcome thought entered my brain. He hasn’t called or texted me either. Why isn’t he asking about why I’m late? Did something happen to him? Or did he just give up on me after I didn’t show up? …That would be plausible, I mean, we don’t know each other that well… But still… he’s the one who invited me in the first place…?
Suddenly overcome with disappointment, I let my hand sink, still clutching my phone. My eyes fell to the ground and I focused on the grey asphalt in front of me, when my phone buzzed and I flinched. A feeling of hope, accompanied by something else that made my heart speed up, arose within me as I read the name shown on the display.
“Turn around.”
And there he stood. Softly smiling, red hair parted a little on the left. Dressed in a white suit, first two buttons of his shirt unbuttoned, and he held out his hand to me.
“I’m glad you came.” I could hear his words clearly, even though we stood apart, and all other noises and visual sensations around me faded for a moment in which I was only focused on him, drawn to his elegant figure, and my feet carried me towards him until my hand lay in his.
“I’m so sorry for being late,” I said to him and slightly bowed my head, wondering if I should be honest about the reason.
“Don’t worry about it.” He still smiled at me fondly when I looked back up at his face, the soft features making me feel weirdly reassured. “You’re here now. Let’s go.”
I didn’t think he would have so much understanding without even knowing what’s going on really. Being late wasn’t exactly a charming expression you could leave on an occasion like this. Still he didn’t seem to mind, or he was just very good at hiding it. However, looking at his face, his cheeks that were lifted up from smiling, how he sometimes glanced over to me shyly, but very apparently carrying a lot of happiness in his heart, I just couldn‘t bring myself to believe that he was really disappointed.
His aunt’s house wasn’t far from the station, the walk there took about ten minutes. Still I was glad my shoes were rather comfortable compared to most heels. Arriving there, he held open the door for me and we were greeted by his aunt and uncle, who made it very obvious just how happy they were to see him after a long while, and how glad they were that he found such a beautiful girl. I blushed and wondered if I should clarify that we weren‘t dating, but he was faster.
“There’s no such deep connection between us,” he explained, always staying at the appropriate level of politeness and familiarity. After taking off my coat, we progressed to what seemed like a huge dining hall. Tables filled with food and drinks were lined up at the sides, and in the middle, people were dancing to beautiful piano music. I couldn’t help but think it all seemed a little like a royal dinner party, and I chuckled to myself.
“What…?” Yanan asked with a broad grin on his face, who seemed to have caught me laughing to myself.
“Nothing,” I said, shaking my head. “I was just thinking how this party seems fancier than I expected it to be.”
“Ahh. Well, that’s what you get when your relatives are rich.” It made sense to me now. Observing the people all around me and him, I figured I was probably among the least wealthy currently in this house. Still caught in thought, he placed himself in front of me, holding out his hands.
“Do you like dancing?”
“Huh?” Taken by surprise, I peeked up at him with huge eyes. “I mean… I don’t dislike it. I’m just not very good…”
“Don’t worry about that. Just follow my lead.” I nodded, letting him guide me through the people dancing around us, becoming one with the moving masses. I wasn‘t sure where to step at first, but as I began trusting him to take the lead more and more, it became easier and it felt like we were becoming one with the rhythm, dancing as a strange kind of peaceful feeling settled in my stomach.
“Do you like this song?” he asked as he noticed me smiling at a particular tune and I nodded my head.
“I’ve listened to it a lot when it first came out.” Fond memories of high school came back to me. Yes, this song had given me comfort many times. And it had made me think that maybe there was something like that one true love in this world after all. I smiled at myself at the thought. What a romantic I had used to be back then…
“I like it too. Very much,” he explained. “It might be my favourite song actually.”
“Oh? I didn’t think we’d like the same kind of music.” We kept slowly spinning, swaying with the rhythm, when his expression slightly changed and he mouthed the lyrics to a certain part.
“…I don’t deserve this…”
“You know the words?” I asked.
“Yes, mostly.”
“We should try singing it together some time!” I suggested and he gave a nod.
“We should.”
The evening progressed like that, always with a peaceful feeling accompanying me, and I completely forgot about my worries from earlier. We had a bite to eat and I marveled at the exquisite taste of the food offered. I even got to enjoy a glass of real champagne together with him and some members of his family and friends of theirs. The evening turned into night, and hours passed faster than I had thought they would, until most people had left and it looked like it was time for us to go as well. He helped me put on my coat in the entrance area, before we bid our goodbyes and walked outside, where it had started to rain heavily. I sighed at the bad weather.
“Guess I’ll just have to run home then.” While I was already mentally preparing myself to get soaked, Yanan took off the jacket of his suit next to me and put it over our heads.
“I’ll take you home.”
“What? No, it’s fine, really! But… aren’t you cold like this?” It wasn’t exactly freezing outside, but with just a shirt he couldn’t possibly be warm enough.
“I’m fine. You don’t live far from here anyway, do you?”
“No… I just don’t want you to catch a cold because of me,” I stated and received a rather playful smile from him.
“Then we’ll just have to run.” And in the end we did, even though we weren’t as fast as we wanted to be, since I couldn’t move as quickly with my shoes as he could in his. I kept slipping out of one of them because of the water getting into them, and when we were about halfway there, I stopped him in the middle of the street.
“Let me take them off, then we’re faster…” I said, lifting one foot and automatically holding onto his shoulder for balance. We looked at each other and for the first time ever I had the chance to peer directly into his warm brown eyes for just a moment, before he shyly turned his head away, still trying to somehow hold his jacket so I wouldn’t get wet. However, now I stopped moving and instead let my foot sink back to the ground. The air around us suddenly changed, and the slight blush on his cheeks told me he could feel it too.
“Thank you… for today,” I spoke in between the sound of countless raindrops meeting the ground around us in the dimly lit street. “It was a lot of fun.” I showed him a genuine smile, when he slowly turned back to look at me, then one of his hands let go of the jacket to brush a stray strand of hair out of my face. Even a small touch such as this sent a fuzzy feeling throughout my whole body. He rested his palm against my cheek and slightly tilted my head, before his eyes landed on my lips and he leaned in, kissing me softly, and with so much care, making me feel as if I was something close to his most precious treasure. Or maybe I was just that… I closed my eyes, letting my hands find his shirt, my fingers wandering up the fabric until they were holding onto his shoulders. The rain had long started to soak my hair and my coat, and was running down my face so that I could faintly taste it on my lips as we kissed, but I couldn’t care less about the consequences that might have. All I could think about in this moment that seemed like an eternity, but still so far too short, was him, how his hands holding me made me feel so at ease, and how his soft lips moving against mine gave me a sense of home. When we finally parted, neither of us said anything for a while. We both just looked at each other, unsure if we should share another kiss, and though I was sure both of us would’ve wanted to feel the other’s lips on ours again, the sudden cold sent a heavy shiver through my body and he immediately wrapped his jacket around me.
“I don’t think this will help anymore…” I commented with an amused but somewhat worried smile, seeing how every single piece of clothing we carried on us was completely soaked from the rain by now.
“Then let’s run and get you home, before you get sick,” he decided. “Want to get on my back?” I hesitated at first as I didn’t want to burden him, however I quickly figured we’d both be dry faster if he carried me. Holding on to him tightly, I mumbled directions into his ear, and it didn’t take us long until he let me back down onto the ground in front of my house.
“Thank you again for today,” I smiled and he shook his head.
“No, I should thank you for coming along. The evening with you was perfect. But now hurry and get back inside!” When I hesitated, he raised his eyebrows. I quickly got on tiptoes, lightly holding onto his sleeves to pull myself up, and I placed a quick kiss on his lips, leaving him smiling adorably.
“We’ll see each other soon, promise?” I asked, and he nodded.
“Promise.” Then I ran back inside.
As soon as I opened the door and saw that there was still light on inside, I felt like my stomach had just been tied into a tight knot, and I felt a slight urge to throw up. Nobody should still be up by now, considering that it must have been well past midnight, which gave me a bad feeling in the gut about what was to come. I could barely take off my shoes, when my mother towered in front of me, fury in her eyes. l couldn’t even take a breath to attempt saying something before the yelling started, and all I could do was just stand there, petrified. For minutes that seemed endless, there was just me, the cold, wet feeling all over my body, and the loud voice of my mother, shaking my ears but not getting far enough for me to comprehend anything. I was frozen up completely, starting to cry at some point, but still unable to move, so the tears just fell in silence while she kept directing the heaviest verbal punches at me that I had ever received. Only when she finally disappeared and I had recovered from the shock enough to drag myself up the stairs to my room, I began to realize that she had, in fact, just very bitterly told me to get out of her house by tomorrow.
So here I stood now. At the station on a Sunday morning, a heavy bag packed with my most important belongings next to me on the ground, and the bag I always used for school, filled to the brim. I crouched down next to my possessions, feeling strangely calm even though I knew I had nowhere to go now and that I would have to sleep outside tonight if I didn’t find a place until the sun set. A hotel was unaffordable for a student like me who only worked on occasion, and most of my friends from college that could’ve taken me in for at least a few days didn’t even live in this town. At least I’m lucky with the weather today, I thought to myself as I looked up into the clear blue sky. Letting the October sun warm my face, I leaned against the rather cool wall behind me and began to count the few clouds visible. Slowly, my thoughts started working, and with them a whole jumble of complicated emotions arose from the depths of my heart.
“Fuck,” I cursed silently, forming a fist to punch the wall next to me. I choked up all of a sudden, and bit down on my lip hard to avoid crying in public. Even though there was barely anyone here on a Sunday, I still didn’t want to risk getting caught. My phone buzzed and I took it out to see a message from the younger one of my brothers. As expected, he was asking what happened, though he also let me know that mom had told him she threw me out.
“That’s all there is to it. I failed a class and snuck out yesterday, so I got what I deserved I guess,” I answered, and didn’t have to wait long for his response.
“You snuck out? I totally didn’t hear you.” Mindful as always, isn’t he…? I laughed bitterly before receiving the next text. “But you can always ask me for help if you need something. We’ll get you a place to stay somehow…”
“How exactly do you wanna help me here?” I answered. After that I didn’t get another text. Of course he had no clue how to get me out of this situation, but at least he tried.
“Shit, what do I do now? I can’t exactly live in front of the station…” I put my phone away and took my head into my hands, thinking hard, but not really getting anywhere. No matter what way I mentally took, it always boiled down to me having nowhere to go. And that hurt pretty badly. When I was close to tearing up again, I noticed someone had stopped to stand in front of me. The person crouched down and held out a cup of warm take-out coffee.
“Yanan… What are you doing here?” I asked him with wide eyes.
“The same I would like to ask you,” he said as he handed me the cup. “And why do I have the feeling you’re moving out…?” I glanced to the side in shame.
“Because… that’s kinda what I’m doing.” Question marks appeared over his head, so I clarified, “I got kicked out because I failed a class and snuck out even though I got grounded for it.” Actually saying the truth left a bitter feeling lingering in the air around me. Almost like the coffee he bought for me. “Meaning I kinda… have nowhere to go at the moment.” For a second he looked at me in devastation. But then he got up and heaved the heavy bag I brought all the way here on his back.
“Come with me then. I’m living in a small apartment by myself while I’m here. But there’s space for a second person.”
“What? I can’t-“ I wanted to protest, but he shook his head, shooting me a serious look instead.
“I can’t leave you out here on the street all by yourself.” His expression softened when he saw how I was still indecisive. “I won’t charge you anything,” he assured. As if that was what I was worried about. On the way to his place I kept asking if it was really okay, if it wasn’t a burden, if I could actually just freeload there, until he suddenly turned around at some point, resulting in me almost bumping straight into him.
“Y/N, I wouldn’t have offered if I wasn’t sure about this. Of course I’ll help you out here.” He bowed down a little so his face was on the same level as mine. “I’m doing this because I want to.” I almost got startled when he stared right into my eyes for a moment, finding such dedication in his look that it washed away all my doubts at once. I didn’t know he could look like that.
So Yanan took me across half the city and to an area where the streets were narrow and the sunlight barely got through the many tall buildings. He shot me an apologetic smile as we were making our way through the busy people and slowly driving and sometimes angrily honking cars. In front of a beige colored door on the second floor of a huge but cheap looking apartment complex we came to a halt and he got out the keys from his pocket to unlock it.
“I hope you don’t mind the area… it’s a little more crowded than where you’re used to living.” Again, he furrowed his eyebrows, so I shook my head strongly.
“No, I really don’t mind! I don’t think I’m even in a place to complain when you’re taking on such a huge burden for me…”
“What burden…?” he asked. “Stop acting like taking you in is troublesome for me.”
“But… you’ll have to adjust to living with another person now… and so spontaneously too…” I kept expressing my worries and how uncomfortable I felt that I was relying on him like that. Nevertheless, he let me enter his tiny flat first and I took off my shoes. Then he gave me a quick tour of the place and we put my things down in the living room area that was combined with a small cooking space.
“Is it okay for you to sleep over here?” he asked and pointed over to a couch covered with a thin blanket. It looked comfortable even from here, so I nodded.
“Of course.” I walked over to take a seat and smiled at how soft it was. “This almost feels even better than my bed at home!” I laughed and made him giggle too. He offered me something to drink and handed me a glass of iced water, then he disappeared into his own bedroom for a while to get me a proper pillow and blanket. The cool feeling of the ice still on my lips, I put down the glass and a thought wandered through my head. It wasn’t like people usually came by the station on a Sunday, and with Yanan living rather far away from it… did he know that I got in trouble? No, that was totally impossible. Still I felt like him finding me there wasn’t completely coincidental.
I took some time to properly take in my surroundings. When entering I had already noticed the flat wasn’t really decorated. There was the most important furniture, but nothing out of the ordinary. Only the couch I was sitting on and the old clock in the kitchen area similar to the one in my parents’ house added a little color to the otherwise plain interior. No pictures up on the walls, the curtains were in a standard white, the wooden table and shelves seemed like they were used before.
“Has somebody else lived here before you?” I wanted to know when Yanan came back and put the bedding down next to me.
“It’s my cousin’s flat. I’m just staying here while I’m in town and he’ll move back in when I leave in about a month,” he explained to me.
“Ahh, so you’re just freeloading now?”
“Basically, yes. But now that I have a partner in crime I don’t feel so bad about it anymore,” he chuckled at me. I got ready to protest, but held back. He was right after all. “Now we’re just two freeloaders trying to get through life, I guess,” he added.
“Don’t make it sound that dramatic.” I lightly hit his shoulder and he shot me a look, almost as if he was startled by the sudden touch. “But don’t you think you should make it a little more comfortable here? At least until you move back out.”
“What do you mean?”
“Like… little decorations,” I suggested. “A poster of a person you admire, some pretty paintings, or just flowers! That makes it feel livelier in here!” He hesitated though.
“I’m not really the type for stuff like that…” he argued, voice low.
“Then maybe we can compromise? Let’s get at least flowers!”
“For being worried that you’re burdening me you’re very proactive all of a sudden,” Yanan remarked with a smirk and I blushed.
“U-uhm…” Flustered, I didn’t know what to say next, but he saved me from the awkward silence.
“Fine. Let’s get flowers then. Do you have any in mind?”
To be continued...

High School Band AU: Ch. 14
“So this ain’t the end, I saw you again! Today I had to turn my heart away. You smiled like the sun, kisses for everyone and tails, it never fails!”
Then you enter: “You’re lying so low in the weeds! I bet you’re gonna ambush me!”
And you sing together: “You’d have me down, down, down on my knees. Now wouldn’t ya? Barracuda!”
Saeran rolls his eyes and chuckles as you pass behind him and tap his shoulder. Your eyes suddenly meet Jaehee’s with a puzzled expression. Matter of fact, everybody has been given that look ever since the start of the rehearsal.
First, Saeran insisted in singing. Zen wasn’t exactly pleased to give away a solo, even if it’s just a rehearsal, but his scarlet eyes went from burdened to shocked when Saeran said he didn’t want a solo, he wanted a duet… with you. You felt your cheeks heating up, but in the minute he picked Barracuda let’s use this Glee duet as a reference, it’s been a while I don’t use Glee lol, you were relieved, it wasn’t any lovey dovey ballad from Journey or something, it was an ode to anger. Perfect for him, perfect for you to sing with him. Although your mind raced a little imagining singing something like “Faithfully” with him… nah, what are you thinking?
What have you been thinking? In the past two days, you couldn’t stop thinking about the conversation with Saeran… the guy is dealing with a lot, you would totally be a dick if it was with you… well, you can be from time to time, so now you feel like you understand him a little. His talent was the only thing you felt like never criticizing him for, now you got to meet him for real, there’s nothing at all to criticize.
And you’re as shocked as all the other band members.
Because you’re feeling… comfortable around him. Yeah, the winter festival is already next week, you’ve been rehearsing every single day after school, and Jaehe and Jumin decided that taking the whole band into some kind of retreat at his chalet would be a good way to practice intensely and still relax and have some fun.
Due to latest events, you could not see how being stuck at a chalet with Zen and Jumin could be fun. You know… you fought with Zen because you though he was just being an ass to Jumin, but Jumin was doing something shady with Rika, and not only you never apologized to Zen, but also thought that falling into Rika’s boyfriend arms was something okay to do. Jaehee and Yoosung are still a little aloof, and Saeyoung is being… well, himself. So yeah, the mood wasn’t exactly great right now.
But it could be worse if it wasn’t for Saeran. Your usually bickering has became sillier, it’s almost like… it’s almost like…
“Watching two hyenas getting ready to the mating season.” Saeyoung whispered to Yoosung after Saeran went to grab some water and… said he was bringing some to you as well.
“I heard that.” You glare at them.
“I know you did, I wanted you to.” He beams teasingly. “My little bro is growing and getting himself a lady, I’m so proud!”
“Ugh… it’s nothing like that. And I’m no lady.”
“She really isn’t.” Saeran says, nudging you from behind with the glass of water. “She’s also right, it’s nothing like that.”
“Thank you.” You look at him.
“You’re welcome. I’m going to the bathroom” He chugs his water and bumps into your shoulder lightly as walking away.
“Yoosung, I think you should close your eyes, you’re too young to see this.”
“We’re the same age, dude! And… see what?”
“Oh… this is basically their foreplay, I don’t think any of us should be watching this.”
“Shut up, Saeyoung!” you roll your eyes as you walk away too.
“See? She’s already talking like him! Oh… my heart…”
Ugh… what is he doing? It’s almost like… he’s trying to set you up with his brother. Yes… a similar thought crossed your mind that night when he went on about playing drums and some other stuff you didn’t get. Could I be that… Saeyoung was trying to tell you that he would back away because of his brother? Because… Saeran likes you?
Uhh, what’s that? A chill. And also a sign not to think weird nonsense stuff like that.
The chill was a sign to something else. A sign for you to stay alert when you saw Jumin greeting two people in the front door.
V and Rika.
S H I T!
Your first reaction was calculate how hurt would you be if you decided to run away jumping from the balcony. You would be very hurt, so abort that.
Shit shit shit! It was the first time you saw Rika after that suspicious conversation with Jumin you overheard. And it was the first time you’re seeing V after… that day. What the fuck are they even doing here?
“Well, it wouldn’t be a traditional retreat without cheap vodka, expensive weed and the old school members, would it?” It wouldn’t be traditional, okay, but it would be so much better. Ugh… V just smiled at you as he says this. At first his smile would make you get dizzy, now it feels like a punch in the stomach.
“Yes… and I was so worried with our little MC here I needed to check on her. Is your phone broken, sweetie? I tried to text you.” She pats your shoulder. No, your phone isn’t broken, you just ignored her texts for more serious reasons than just thinking she freaks you out a little.
“We worked hard today, guys, so a little fun would be really nice.” Jaehee says, walking next to the counter where V places the booze.
“Yes. I’ll put some music on.” Jumin starts messing with the fancy sound system in the living room.
“Uhh, I must have some flash drive with me. Let me get it.” Saeyoung heads to the bedroom he left his stuff
“I’ll go with you.” Yoosung reaches him.
You look around as you notice everybody is busy. Everybody except for you, V and Rika. Well… shit! Is Saeran still in the bathroom? Ugh…
No wait… Zen! You spot him in the balcony outside. Well, you aren’t exactly in great terms with him, but… better than being with them, no doubt.
“Aren’t you cold?” you ask Zen as you step outside, he turns to look at you. “I might have a very cool jacket a very cool guy gave me once.” He smiles, and you take as an invitation to join him.
“It will start snowing soon.” He states. “Do you like snow?”
“I’m not very fond of the cold weather, as you can see by my outrageous clothes.” He laughs “But uhm… it looks really beautiful, for sure.”
“Yeah, almost like a dream…” you nod, trying to contemplate the horizon as much as he’s doing.
“I’m sorry, Zen.” You say, hoping the win didn’t muffle your voice, maybe it did since he doesn’t react. “Zen, I’m sorry for yelling at you and calling you a hypocrite.”
“It’s fine, MC.”
“No, it’ not. I was unfair with you, a lot of things happened that day, and if they didn’t happen, the way I treated you was still wrong. So, it’s not fine, but I hope you can forgive me.”
“I already did. Don’t worry.”
“But, Zen… I…”
“I’m considering dropping out, MC.”
“What?”
“Out of school. I’ll drop out.”
“Drop out…? Why?”
“My grades are terrible, I will most likely have to repeat the grade, so I’ll get rid of the burden first.”
“But Zen… is this okay? I mean… what will you do?”
“I’ll find a job, I’ve been doing some gigs here and there, my friend has that nightclub. I have more options that one could think, actually.”
“What about your family? Won’t they…?”
“If they didn’t care when I left the house, they won’t care now.”
“You left… you left your house?”
“Yeah. My brother and my mom were annoying me too much with some useless fights, so I left. Don’t worry, I’m crashing at that friend of mine.”
“I’m worried about the fact you fought with them, Zen. What happened?”
“Well, let’s say it’s not easy ever since I was a kid. My mom used to say some mean stuff about my appearance and… my brother never liked the fact I was too different from him, he just started picking on me when I was 14 and got the bike. It was just… an unbearable environment for someone like me, MC. Please understand that… I endured for too long.”
“Oh, don’t worry. I’m not judging you. I’m just… sad.”
“Sad?”
“Yeah.”
“Don’t be sad, I’ll be around until the winter festival. And you can always count on me, whether it is to give you cool jackets, fake IDs, a ride in my bike or advices with guys…”
“I think I’ll take the jackets the rest I’ll pass thank you.” You both laugh.
“I mean it, count on me. You’re very important to me, MC, you’re like… my little sister.” You feel like clutching your heart. Zen can be very sweet with words, that is by far the sweetest thing he ever said. “So tell Saeran I have an eye on him, nobody messes with my sister!”
“Saeran? What are you…? Ah, not you too, Zen, come on!”
“You’re really trying to lie to your big bro that you don’t like him, MC?”
“Li-like him? What are you talking about, I don’t… I don’t like him! I’m just treating him nicer because he is treating me nicer too and… he is a very talented guy, he… has a sharp sense of humor like me, he… saved me from a rape and didn’t even consider blaming me for what happened, he… can be very honest and open about stuff… and he wears some cool t-shirts and… good lord, I like him.” Now you’re the one contemplating the horizon.
“Oh really? What was your first clue?” Zen laughs, patting your shoulder playfully.
Another chill, not by Zen’s touch, but as a warning there’s someone else in the balcony.
Saeran.
How much of that did he hear? Ahh, what if he heard all your praise towards him? What if he heard you like him? Oh no… he’ll tease you so mercilessly…
“What are you guys doing here?” He says plainly, not even looking at you. Shit, he heard everything!
“We were just talking, bro. Do you need something… from her?” Zen teases. Yeah, great job being the jerk big bro.
“What? No. We’re just… having a party there, Saeyoung says he needs more people to start the game.”
“What game?”
“Like I would know what is that weirdo up to. Just come in, you two. It’s freezing here.” Then he looks at you. Oh… is he worried about you?
“Yeah, yeah, we’re coming. You don’t need to say it twice.” You mutter, trying to be your usual self with Saeran. Why do you feel so pathetic now doing something it was so natural before?
You and Zen walk inside with Saeran, only to find everybody sitting on the floor in a circle. In the center of it, there’s a bottle, oh… did they drink so much to the point one of the bottles is already empty? No, that’s not a big deal, what matters here is…
“Spin the bottle combined with seven minutes in heaven. Wanna play?” Saeyoung asks. He’s definitely not drunk, again, he’s just being himself.
“I’ll pass.” Zen says, walking towards he counter to grab a beer. “There are way less girls than guys so the chances of kissing a guy are too high.”
“Wow, you know math, Zen, that’s impressive.” Jumin says, and Rika giggles. That was… unnecessarily mean. Zen apparently doesn’t mind, but still… is Jumin a mean drunk?
You don’t feel like playing after that, to be honest.
Except… you see Saeran joining the circle. You never would have taken him as someone who would play something like this.
You would never even take yourself like someone who would play something like this. But if you come to think of it, you never thought you would like Saeran, and… even if you did, you would never admit out loud in front of someone else like you did. So… what the hell do you know about him or about you? Fuck this.
But as soon as you sit beside Yoosung, you start regretting it. Because you know math too, and there are chances you can end in that closet with Jumin or Saeyoung, or worse… Rika… or even worse… V!
However, as much as you don’t like math, math seems to like you. Because the bottle slowly stops after Saeyoung spins it.
The bottleneck points to you.
And the bottom, to Saeran.
