A big aspect of my magical thinking was the idea that I had to Justify every little action, that everything "negative" I thought or felt needed to be Explained and have a Good Reason behind it.

I see this in other people, and I just want to come in to say... it's okay to not like someone or something for "dumb" or "petty" reasons. That's just human nature. We try to give the benefit of the doubt, we try not to judge, but that's only going to get you so far. You're going to be petty because humans are petty sometimes! You don't need to magical-think your way into concluding that being petty makes you a Fundamentally Bad Human Being.

The universe is not going to punish you for acting according to you being a person.

⛔ Do you have a fic you started, but scrapped?

who among us, I ask LOL. Less so for my latest fic ventures in Andor, the brain eating is strong and I've mostly seen through what I've started. Had a couple setups I got a couple thousand words into and then decided to rework but even one of those got an ending eventually LOL.

In past fandoms, there are certainly scraps-to-whole-20kword-openings-of-AUs that languish in my story folder utterly unposted. A posted Hamilton WIP I constantly go back and forth between determination to finish and do justice to and determination to delete LOL. One old MCU AU I like the setup for but intimidated myself out of satisfactorily completing and never returned to. *Mostly* I'm pretty good about finishing what goes up on Ao3 though.

🙋‍♀️ Do any irl people know you write fanfic?

Ha. Besides fandom friends who have evolved into IRL friend, just my husband, and only in the vaguest awareness of when I got into retreat-into-my-laptop mode.

😬 Which of your fics would you be most horrified for friends, family, or coworkers to stumble upon?

Um *cough* Rally the Guys but really that whole Hamilton universe.

The only thing presently (and slowly) in the works besides posted WIP Tether is a project inspired by much flailing about Mon Mothma with @ceruleanphoenix7 that's tentatively titled Chandrilan Hospitality and is a series of snapshots over her life with the final one planned to be shortly after she openly joins the Rebellion.

🤲 Would you please share a snippet of a wip?

From the above mentioned Mon Mothma fic (because, well - it's what there is lol), piece of opening scene age 12 -

Mon is not ignorant of the weight of family expectation falling on her now, to salvage their collective reputation. One wayward child an aberration, a fluke. Two a sign of some deeper rot.

She’s been forbidden to speak with her cousin since the vaguely-named Incident, and Vel bears her social excommunication with her head held high in a way that Mon quietly admires. After my initiation, she wills Vel to hear her quiet apologies, excuses. After my betrothal.

She can bide her time, secure her family standing, and then court a little scandal by association when the family’s let out a sigh of relief and stopped paying so much attention.

Her parents are discussing the trajectory of the rest of Mon’s life and Mon is preoccupied with an examination in her morning module and contemplating on the side how long and how carefully one must follow the rules before a little indiscretion might be forgiven or ignored, when her father barks her name in a tone that tells her she must have missed it the first time.

🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?

Romance, fluff.

✅ What's something that appears in your fics over and over and over again, even if you don't mean to?

Ohh, just the usual repetitive body language type standbys, idk. Quirking brows and such LOL.
