there are multiple things in Undertale that the narration describes as "illegible" and I just wonder if maybe Frisk or the narrator are really bad at reading handwritten messages
#like I forget every specific mention of it#I know Papyrus' coloured tile puzzle instructions were written in ''illegible chicken-scratch''#although that was probably written by Alphys actually#because Frisk is able to read Papyrus' writing on the sign on his sentry station#and it's Alphys' puzzle#and also Alphys' handwriting is definitely shit#I think there was something else handwritten by Alphys that they had trouble reading? was that the message before the true lab idk#and the writing in the torn notebook is described as illegible#I guess that's not a lot of examples#idk I just think maybe one of them (or both of them?) has bad eyesight or has trouble reading certain fonts/handwritings#hmmm#(only other example that comes to mind is the blueprints in sans' lab but that also might just be written in wing dings so)
