i think beardted really are just like. husbands. work husbands, real husbands, whatever you want to describe them as. brings sandwiches for each other, often eats the same thing whenever they're at the pub, does their wordle together (and ted always tries to hound beard for answers), make 11:11 wishes together (and ted always tries to hound beard to know what he wished for), they have a little handshake + cheers, ted calls him "honey bunch" and "sweetie pie", beard is very close with ted's mom, beard scolds ted for playing tetris on the toilet, their go-to karaoke song is islands in the stream, beard oftens picks him up for work (cup of coffee IN HAND for ted) + then walks him home like........they're just. married.
