That's how I usually feel when I think about the Male and Female role swap between the Franchise's Sea Gods.

Like say have the Wives of the Sea Kings be the Titular Main Rulers of the Sea (even in Different Timelines) rather than their own Husbands, while also having Triton and Mindy given different personalities.

It be way too easy if you put that kind of Swap choice on a piece of paper.

all this because i was trying to figure out an absurd au idea (what if every male character in the main cast swapped with a random female character who could fit their role)(im still workshopping that

#but jokes aside #ngl that is always something I always had in mind for a very long time #like if you “swap” the males and their female counterparts it would be like if sandy was the main titular lead character per say #and I know Narlene was never around for decades before the 2020s but I always thought what would it be like if she was swapped with Patrick #but also imagine what would it be like if Karen and Mrs. Puff were in the same place as their own Male Counterparts #bcuz then a lot of people would've been shipping Puff/Karen if we lived in a world like that #but also of note if chip and pearl were swapped wouldn't that mean that chip was mrs. puff's son like how pearl was to krabs?#or would chip just still be with his biological family #just curious cuz there's just so many ideas to interpret a role swap au #sorry for the long ramble in the texts #spongebob squarepants
