Ok so I’m so obsessed with Free Falling and I actually think about it all the time and make up little scenarios in my head for it like I’m writing fanfic of it, so when you said the other day, shoot me ideas, I probably screamed. (Sorry this ask is really long again; I’m just incapable of shutting up)

Full disclosure here, I actually found FLF not because I’m a massive fan of BNHA (I actually stopped watching after season 3 before I even found your fic lmao) but because I’m kinda obsessed with BDSM-AU, specifically as the whole extensive-world-building-biological-imperative type genre.

Obviously now I’m super invested in your Dabi-Hawks. But honestly, I would be so thrilled to see you delve into more of your d/s world’s world building. Like what’s up with the submissive’s rights movement you’ve alluded to? Obviously most of the core leadership of the villains are subs, or switches, and Shigaraki’s made clear that he has a vested interest in that, but maybe not yet publically. How are they viewed? Are villains extra threatening to society because their rejection of a heavily respected institution that’s very dom central is appealing to the sub rights movement??? And so not only are they dividing on lines of hero and villain, they’re diving people along lines of traditional orientation and traditional relationships, etc etc?

I’m also just so fascinated with how other people see Hawks. I’m obsessed. I’m always scanning FF for the little tidbits you share about how other people view him. (Like the fact that Shigaraki clocks and thinks about way more of Hawk’s sketchy behavior than he lets on, or that Aizawa is probably pretty concerned about him.) obviously this is limited POV so there’s only so much of that. but beyond simply the stuff like cutting off Hawk’s bird features, how much of his meetings with the hero commission are about, well this tweet say you were acting a little subby in this press conference so that’s a problem” or “you react too defensively to questions about your dynamic” etc etc.

Do people theorize online about his orientation? Is he unusual in that he’s not super open about it, or are there others like him?

And lastly, because I can’t shut up, that one specific scene where Shigaraki and Hawks are sitting on the couch together and Shigaraki is like you’re obviously not a dom bc you suck at this and they’re talking about collars and contracts and Shigaraki is literally so keyed in to Hawk’s discomfort about contacts and the fact that he wants a collar so bad literally lives in my head rent free. Think about it all the time. And it’s just so fascinating to me because there’s something so uniquely domestic about it? I just love their relationship in this. They can’t be friends. They shouldn’t be. They’re not even open people. But it’s just this casual way that they interact on a dynamic level, it’s literally just subs chatting about sub things, and there’s this moment when Shigaraki realizes that something (contracts) that are a comfort and a safety net for him could be used to cause hurt in Hawks— idk it’s just this window to where it feels like the heros and villains part of it comes seconds. They’re just people, who have limited power in their society, talking about things of cultural importance, and relationships, and the ways they’re either supportive or abusive and it’s like … it’s so subtle but it just added so much to them as characters and the scope of your world and mostly I’m just saying that that one specific scene just lives with me.

it’s my turn to be honest here and say i’m really not a worldbuilding person. which is weird, given the types of things i gravitate towards! FLFverse is my attempt at…i don’t want to say “working on that,” which would imply i want to write stuff like this all the time. i definitely don’t. but i do think having one project where i get really into it is fun and good for me. that said, it’s hard! i don’t know how people do this on the regular! there’s a lot of stuff in my head!

some of y’all compliment me on that and i just need you to picture a very frazzled writer at a comically large desk, surrounded by loose papers, just being like “ahaha, thanks??” bc i don’t know how i got here, but i am pleased with it, but also this is not my native habitat send help.

this is why chapters are taking longer ajshahdgs. or part of the reason. it’s a good thing, stretching my creative muscles, and i probably could stand to be a little better at worldbuilding overall, in other projects, so, there’s that.

so this ask has reminded me that i do need to add more little worldbuilding tidbits, which actually might work very nicely with my plans for chapter 16.

you’re absolutely right re: sub’s rights movements and villains. i wouldn’t call it part of their public mission statement or anything (yet), but anyone following them sufficiently closely knows the league has some pro-sub’s-rights leanings, at the very least, and it is definitely another big dividing line. i wouldn’t be surprised, even, if we start to see some regression in the rights subs and non-traditional folks have because of that.

i definitely want to write about how hawks is viewed online now and the commission’s reaction to it, omg. people definitely theorize. he’s definitely an outlier in not picking a label because it’s just such a hard thing to hide for a very long time, especially when most heroes are well known in their teen years and have some kind of accessible public record. and most heroes are doms and switches anyway, so there’s no real reason for them to hide. it’s sort of like how on forms when your gender options are “male / female / prefer not to say” you CAN be a cis person and pick “prefer not to say,” theoretically, but that option functionally just signals that you’re trans or nonbinary or what have you.

i think the commission probably does their very best to not outright label hawks as anything, but very heavily imply things. so your average person who doesn’t care much probably just assumes he’s a switch, but knowing how crazy fans can get in our world with theories….yeah. now i’m thinking about hawks being accosted by fangirls, tbh

a good way to test it would just be to command him on the street…..now that would be a nightmare scenario. tucks it in my back pocket.

i had to go looking for that shigaraki and hawks scene, lol, because i only partially remembered it. i do like that scene a lot so i’m glad you do too! i should write him and hawks more, too. it’s such a weird relationship, because shigaraki is this unhinged, angry guy, but he’s got this soft side, and i think he does care about people like him on some level—the league wouldn’t be so loyal to him if he didn’t. and in that scene he really starts to realize that hawks is a lot like them and, yeah, the different perspectives they have on things.

i still want to write a side spinneraki story at some point, lol. shigaraki has so much stress, even in canon, someone’s gotta help him out with it.

i don’t know if i added that much or if this is just a very long post reiterating your points, but….i definitely need to do some thinking. i get tunnel vision about strictly writing dabi & hawks’s relationship a lot of the time and forget other things exist. so thanks for the reminder!

Hi! May I ask how—if you’ve ever—you would deal with negative comments attached to your work? Like, a part of me knows that reacting to a small comment (ex: “this ship is forced and it sucks”) is ultimately pointless and draining, but there’s always that thought of “oh maybe I can explain this without seeming passive aggressive”. My current solution is to just simmer in silence until I stop feeling indignant.

well, there’s usually two kinds of comments u can get, one attached to your own skills/abilities and one to the actual content

1 when they shit on your content (eg: ship, content rating, subject, etc) that’s more of a morality thing where they try to drag you down because they don’t like something you do, and that’s. censure to its finest, bcs they want to dictate what YOU should and shouldn’t enjoy based on their own wants and tastes and honestly

they can go fuck themselves if they do that

that only shows how they don’t really understand what fanworks are. fanfic/fanart is to explore corners n stuff of things even if they aren’t canon. even if they don’t make sense to anyone but you (and let’s be honest, it’d be rare u don’t find at least a small set of ppl who share ur interest for any one thing at any given time)

you have the right to do the fuck u want without anyone trying to bully you into something. you can, though, if engaged with respect, mediate. (the difference between ‘this ship sucks n it’ll never be canon so stop writing for it’ vs ‘im uncomfortable w this ship, could you please tag it so i can blacklist, thank u)

so like anyone who shits on the stuff u like can piss off. even if it’s weird, even if it’s out there or questionable, u still have the right to pursue in ur safe space at ur own pace.

the second kind of comment you can get is one that belittles your writing/art/chosen creative media and like. make it personal. this is iffy bcs negative stuff is always hurtful.

even when it’s put in a gentle way, it’s still negative and can still make you feel like shit, esp if you’re depressed or take things personally about things u create. that’s normal, and if you didn’t care you wouldn’t be making anything, right?

so even here there’s a difference in how u react.

when it’s put in a way that its clearly meant to be offensive, you have the right to be annoyed, esp if you never asked for concrit to begin with. ppl can offer you concrit if you asked for it, but they cannot come at you expecting you to accept and agree on negative shit said about your things when you didn’t ask for ir, esp if they’re mean or assholey about it.

if you receive honest concrit (tho sometimes it might be put a bit abruptly so it still comes off weird but leeways happen), you have to take a breathe and see how much of it is true and if you can, steam on it, let the hurt pass by you (bcs as i said, negative comments are always personal and it can still sting to know u did something wrong) and then accept it and learn from it.

when i started creating in english and for a long time after, i was glad to receive concrit that helped me get better. i was... new and wonky, and grammar wasn’t really my strong point, and i used synonyms not quite right for the context, and oh boy did i shit a lot on paragraphs and stuff.

if i didnt have ppl who thought i could be better coming to offer me suggestions in a non confrontational way, i think i wouldn’t have progressed as much as i did.

at the same time, knowing i was failing at something even if I KNEW i couldn’t be perfect still stung a lot. but u gotta learn to see that its a chance to improve even if it hurts. you can always do better.

BIOGRAPHY.

Lily Chang and Chuck Martin had no business falling in love, but in the early 90′s at a karaoke bar in Somerton, Maine - that was precisely what happened. The relationship was doomed from the start -- a walking dad joke wrapped in a sweater vest and woman strung higher than her up-do would have very little in common once the thrill of young love wore off -- but hindsight is a fickle thing, and youth has a funny way of blinding what is right in front of your eyes. It wasn’t long after the first meeting that the couple would find themselves married, and then welcoming a daughter into the world who would someday serve as the only proof the two ever got along.

Still, compatibility issues aside, her parents gave it a real go and for the first seven years of her life, Robin had a real family. Family dinners around the table, Saturday morning cartoons with her dad, and road trips to her mother’s favorite East Coast landmarks. But the facade could only last so long and so the summer before she was meant to start the second grade at Grant Elementary, her parents made the difficult decision to call it quits. Looking back at it through adult eyes, Robin would see the cracks in the foundation -- the petty fights and cold silences that seemed to rule their household -- but at seven years old sitting on a chair staring down at skinned knees listening to the two people she trusted the most tell her their little family was breaking up she felt her whole world crumble around her. It just wasn’t fair! Despite loud protests and heartfelt pleas, by the end of the week Robin found herself packing up her bedroom and leaving the only home she’d ever known in favor of moving west with her mother who had secured a job at the University of British Columbia.

From that point on her childhood felt divided -- splitting time between her parents' homes on opposite coasts. Summers spent eating lobster and laughing at her dad’s dumb jokes in Maine and forced ski lessons with her mom when what she really wanted to do was snowboard back in BC. And for a time, it was manageable. But everyone has a breaking point, and for Robin that was puberty.

It seemed to happen overnight. The status quo shifted --  one day mother and daughter were compromising about take away order and the next they couldn’t agree on anything. And just like that, their small condo became a battleground. Something about hormones and teen angst seems to cause friction between mothers and their daughters and Robin was no exception to this cliche. As she grew the realities of her childhood set in and Robin became bitter, pinning an unfair bulk of the blame on her mother and this expressed itself through a rebellious streak come high school. Once a straight-A student, Robin was now skipping classes to smoke under the bleachers and stealing bottles from the liquor cabinet to go drink with her friends in the park. It was clear her mom was in over her head, and with all modes of communication closed off she felt had no options left but to send Robin back to Somerton to live full time with her dad and though Robin agreed it was what she wanted, deep down it really hurt. She felt like her mom given up on her and it’s a wound their relationship hasn’t ever recovered from.

Adjusting to a new school at sixteen was difficult -- most cliques had been solidified, friendships formed over a lifetime and Robin felt there was little room for her to insert herself and with the bulk of her support group living on the other side of the continent, those first few months were a bit isolating. But eventually, Robin found her footing. She made some friends, slowed down on the partying and found solace in art and music.

As with most things in her life, when it came to secondary education, Robin chose the easiest path. She went to Somerton University because it was close and despite her dodgy school records they accepted her, majored in graphic design because it was easy and she liked computers and forwent dorm living in favor of renting her dad’s basement apartment because it was familiar.

Robin lived in that apartment until she was twenty-four when her dad got remarried. She’d saved enough living there to have a sizeable safety net and she wanted to give the new couple some space. She loved her dad but didn’t want to risk the emotional scarring of walking in on him and his new wife canoodling. Despite initial reservations, Robin bonded pretty quickly with her new stepmother and her four-year-old son.

Now that Robin works a stable 9 to 5 she has less time to get into trouble --  but between being a proud dog mom, Sunday dinners with the family and watching her little brother once a week to give her parents a break she manages to find some time. Of course, today trouble looks more like running a semi-famous comic on the internet based on her dogs Timon and Pumba which anthropomorphizes her little beans and sees them maneuvering life’s everyday problems, usually with humorous results.

The reason it can affect them like that in the first place is that they don’t know better. Let’s make a comparison. AO3 vs Pornhub. On one site if you come across non con content there is a big fucking warning that is required of the author of a work to select. There is no way (short of not reading the description of a fanfic you plan to read) to not know that what is being depicted is not consentual. Meanwhile Pornhub (afaik) outwantly bands depictions of non con while also filling it’s front page with “Sluts! Sluts” I fuck Sluts! Sluts get fucked when I fuck sluts, no “what if”s and/ or “but”s.” and all the respect for consent that that sentiment entails, while often even hosting content that is literally real rape filmed and put on the web, while passing all of it off as regular consentual porn and teens see it and because they have fuck all education on consent they don’tpick up on it being non consentual. This will not happen on AO3 because a teen who doesn’t know what consent looks like reading non con fic they know is non con fic will if anything go “wait this is not consentual?” but they sure as fuck won’t think that what they just read is just normal sex.

You use the article to defend the argument of “pornography can affect your everyday life; men with high risk of sexual aggression have a relationship with violent porn and sexual violence in real life.” So I’ll focus on that. Here is the study btw in case you wanna check it out.

Perhaps the most telling of all these studies is one from 2000 entitled “Pornography and Sexual Aggression” by Malamuth, Addison, and Koss. One part of their study focused on the effect of pornography on males who were low-risk for sexual aggression and males who were high-risk. It found that high pornography use is not necessarily indicative of high sexual aggression in the low-risk population. There was little difference between the aggressive tendencies of low-risk men who used porn somewhat frequently and those who used it very frequently, although there was a notable difference between men who had never or seldom viewed pornography and men who viewed it frequently. In the case of men at high risk for sexual aggressiveness, however, there was a relationship between porn and sexual violence. The high-use men in this group “were much more likely” than the low-use men to have engaged in sexual aggression.

So first of all, this is an “all porn is bad” talking point. There is no differentiation here between different kinds of porn. Secondly the study is from 2000 and makes reference to many other studies going as far back as the early 80s, which already paints a significantly different picture of how porn is consumed and the relationship we have to it. That doesn’t necessarily make it’s findings invalid to today but it should be kept in mind that this study is 20 years old.

So the relevant parts (to that claim) of this study focus on criminals, as opposed to a more general sample size. And importantly that is not good when you wanna support conclusions that porn has a negative effect on sexual violence. The study also mentions how with criminal samples other risk factors compound porn use.

So essentilly the whole thing boils down to “if you have other risk factors, your relationship to porn is more likely to be problematic” which is a far cry from the idea that porn increases risk factors for sexual violence and an even further cry from your actual original point that porn can be used to predict creepy behavior towards other people.

I wanna talk about a bigger issue though. Namely that you are citing radfem-lite anti porn interpretations of studies like this at me. You are fully aware that you don’t agree with the conclusions this article pulls from these studies, but you still trust the article enough to represent the studies in a way that agrees with you. You may say that you disagree with the conclusions of the article, but you are in fact presenting it to me as an argument for your own views, uncritically of how it twists and selectively uses the sources it includes. By doing that you are putting your own views in line with the article. You are directly spreading a diet terf thinkpiece at me to prove your own point and are still puzzled at why I am telling you that you’re spreading radfem ideas. And I think you should think about that.

Don’t. The glorification of normality and demonization of otherness is something that has been used to hurt queer communities for as long as we have existed and you shouldn’t be replicating the ways of thinking that lead to queer people being murdered. Normality is a worthless concept and the whole point is to be queer and proud.

without objectifying everyone involved, however when you bring slurs like tr*p, f*tanari, s*ssy and f*mboy into the mix, it becomes objectifying fetishism of trans women. full stop.

Plain and simple no. It becomes objectification when people treat other actual people like objects. Look, I am not gonna act like there isn’t a huge problem with transphobia being perpetuated in porn. Believe me, I know about that. What I am saying is that transphobia is the problem here, not porn depicting trans people in porn, or being into women with dicks. You are doing your own cause an enourmous disservice if you try to boil a culture that normalizes transphobia down into people who get off to some kinks in porn. Not all porn that features women with dicks is transphobic. Not even all porn that depicts transphibia is transphobic. (Even though a lot of it is) And by pointing fingers at people who consume or create it irresepctive of how they treat actual living people you are replacing a complex net of social issues that includes factors of queerphobia, racism, sexism, the normalization and acceptance of violence and association of sex with dominance (which is something porn is big on, but it doesn’t come from porn, porn being huge on it is a symptom of deeper issues, not the cause), education, class oppression, capitalism, among others, with a simple guilty party. And that is a radfem trick. It relies on the idea that sexual depiction by an othered party is the same as dehumanization by tapping into the common association between sexuality and violence that exists in our society. But it’s misguided and fails to blame the real issues.

It’s the equivalent of blaming mem for the oppression of women instead of the patriarchical structures we exist in. It seems like it’s a logical conclusion, but really it just replaces a fight for structural change with a fight for personal retribution towards a specific group of people. And stuff like this is why it’s fucking important to learn about how redfem rethoric works, because social media and fandom are absolutely drenched in it but people refuse to acknowledge it because they think that all redfem means is “hates trans people and men” instead of a specific way of thinking that applies to the analysis of most things we engage in.

you cannot objectify a minority group as a whole if you are a part of that minority group, period.

You absolutely can though. You can even objectify yourself. Being part of a group doesn’t prevent you from bigoted actions against that group, especially when you grow up internalizing bises against that group. You have to consciously engage with your own thought process and be aware of how you treat others and even yourself.

Rory is from LA born and raised! Her mother is a single mom and it was just them for a long time, with the rotating cast of her mother’s boyfriends. The two could just never seem to get close to financial stability and she grew up rough, never having enough money to keep up with the kids at school, then having to fend for herself once she got home because her mother worked nights.

At home, it all depended on what boyfriend out of the rotation her mother was currently seeing. The best strategy for all of them was avoidance, so Rory spent her days on the streets or at work, never really wanting to deal with the boyfriends. Throughout the years, she suffered abuse and neglect from these men, and though she tried to tell her mother, who was always just a little too busy, a little too high, or a little too blind to the effects. Besides, they needed the extra money that the various boyfriends gave. 

Despite it all, at school Rory shined. She was smart, that much was clear, and she exuded a certain aura of warmth that could make anyone, even the girls with birkin bags and ice cold hearts fall in love. Her school was a dichotomy of rich and poor, and if she worked her ass off and put in maximum effort, it seemed she could fit in with both. But she didn’t want both, didn’t want the stigma of her background to follow her everywhere. She wanted to live in the world of marble countertops and athleisure accessorized with diamonds. So, with extreme effort, she pulled herself up to the social ranks of those girls in school, always going over to their houses to study, pretending she never learned how to drive so that they wouldn’t know she couldn’t afford a car, let alone the mercedes and italian sports cars they drove to school.

But keeping up has its price, and that price began to climb as she was integrated deeper. Rory needed money for twelve dollar salads and fifty dollar spin classes, and the money from her job (which she said her mom forced her to do to learn responsibility) wasn’t cutting it. She was a scrappy kid turned into a precocious young adult and she’d been scrambling all her life, this was just another bootstraps moment. She had the connections from her neighborhood, and what did rich kids like more than drugs? The answer was nothing, and Rory made the leap easily, starting off small and gradually building up a mini drug empire in her high school. She finally had spending money, but more importantly she had friends and people who cared about her, and she wasn’t going to give that up for the world. 

Rory wasn’t dumb, she knew this couldn’t last forever, so she was also making solid plans to further herself in life. But an addictive personality ran in her veins as evidenced by her mother who was addicted to it all - drugs, boyfriends, and bad decisions. The moment it all started to go south could be pinpointed to the moment she herself started to use the drugs. Her friends were doing it after all, and she didn’t want to be a buzzkill. The drugs were an escape from her shitty life that was going nowhere, after all. They let her put on the rose-tinted glasses that she’d been denied since birth, and Rory ate it up. 

But with every ascent, comes a crash and as the lag time from the drugs started to affect her performance in everyday life, grades started to slip, dreams fell to the wayside and prospects started to vanish. By the time she finished highschool they’d say - what a fall from grace. Because she’d forgotten one very important thing. If her friends made a mistake, it could all be very easily swept under the rug and forgotten by way of their parents’ money. Rory, however, had no safety net, and at the end of highschool she was left in the lurch: same terrible grades and attendance as her friends, but no large donations to get her into prestigious schools. Or, for a fact, any schools. She’d peaked, and what followed graduation was a spiralling descent back to where she’d started. The friends she’d been so fiercely loyal to moved on to college and beyond and she was left with nothing but the endless LA party scene filled with people she didn’t care about and worse and worse decisions by the day. 

If it’d gone on for a couple more months, she’d probably have died. But the money started to dry up as her friends left, and the final blow was a drop gone wrong - high as a kite, she’d decided that handing off a major package to a much larger man in a dark alley was a good idea, and the inevitable tussle and robbing left her hurting. She was high and dry with no income and no savings. Twenty-two years old and nothing to her name. It was time for that scrappy kid to scramble once again, but that kid now had a mild drug problem and a chip on her shoulder the size of Texas. 

It wasn’t going to be easy. But one thing Rory was always good at was cultivating her connections. Though her friends had moved on, Rory’s combination of dimples, winning smile, and just enough ass kissing had created just enough opportunities with the people in their lives, and the people at the parties she frequented. She had an in to the rich, and damn if she wasn’t going to exploit it. Odd jobs here and there was her life now, just enough to keep her drug addiction alive, just enough to keep her name in the back of the minds of the wealthy. She knew this would change her life somehow, she just wasn’t quite sure how yet.And who could’ve predicted how it happened. 

It was mundane, a job making drinks at a classy party, one of those ones where the host barely shows up, where the adults sip their martinis and the kids do blow in the bathrooms. The party wasn’t anything remarkable, but what followed was. She was getting picked up by her mother, and the host of the party, a middle aged salt and pepper type man recognized her mother. They had gone to school together or something, Rory was exhausted and didn’t really care, but apparently her mother turned on the same charm inherent in Rory, and the next Friday had lined up a date.

Things progressed extremely quickly from there on out, with lavish dinners and getaway weekends for the two lovebirds. It was astonishing to watch, and the whispers of ‘gold-digger’ from the country club ladies couldn’t even come close to puncturing Rory’s mom’s thick skin. Both women had been to hell and back after all, had worked all their lives for pennies, and finally something serendipitous had happened. All the toxic exs were dropped within the first six months, the crappy two bedroom within a year, and after a year and a half marriage and a kid on the way - though nobody could quite say which one came first. It was a strike of lightning, transforming the tiny flores family immediately. Call it fate or fortune, but Rory was finally back in that world that she’d strived to be in.

This time, when the spiral came it was well supported and well recognized by Rory’s new step-father. He’d already been through the gambit of raising rich kids, two who were now nearing their thirties, and he could see the signs instantly. Bloodshot eyes, partying all night, sniffles and gaunt features. Rory was getting pulled in again, and fast, but this time there was finally someone looking out for her. She couldn’t escape the lure of the partying and the drugs alone, and this marriage had essentially busted it wide open for her, kicking away any barriers that had been there before. They couldn’t control her, really. She’d been scrambling so long that cutting off the money didn’t matter, she had her connections and her grit that had gotten her this far. 

What Rory needed was an out, a way to escape the vicious cycle addiction had pulled her into and her step-father had just the thing: a house on a tiny island in Greece,  a fixer upper that needed some love. Of course, he could easily drop a few thousand down and have it renovated much quicker, but he knew Rory had lost her purpose, so he offered it to her on a silver platter.Pride almost kept her in LA. The thinly veiled excuse to get her out wasn’t fooling anyone, but the last straw came when her step father asked her a very simple question: “What’s left for you here?”. For her whole life, LA had only given her pain, hardship, and drugs. Now, the latter was the only thing left. So, she took the deal, and the girl who had never left LA booked a ticket for the other side of the world.

Now, Rory has been on the island for five months. It’s not exactly rehab, but the drug usage has diminished bit by bit, She’s starting to find her footing and become part of the community. She still has that chip on her shoulder, but putting her energy into building something feels good. She’s never built anything in her life, and the house with its extensive gardens needs a lot of work so it’s keeping her extremely busy. When she first got there, the first thing she did was immediately pick up a job as a local bartender because she hates being dependent on her step-father’s money, for fear of him taking it away (trust issues much). The LA dust and glitter is slowly clearing from her eyes, and she’s discovering a much kinder and greener world.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Rory is super charismatic and thus far has been turning on her charm in order to further things in life. She doesn’t have to do this anymore, so her genuine warmness is starting to shine through more. She’s been stung by basically all the relationships in her life, so she holds real companionship extremely close, loyal to the end and extremely passionate and protective. 

Bitch has trust issues and a bit of an edge though, so getting to that deep companionship is really hard.She’s also a rough kid, had to claw and fight her way through her life, so she’s definitely a little rough around the edges. She doesn’t open up quickly, and she has a quick temper that acts as a learned defense mechanism. She definitely has a nasty streak when it comes to defense mechanisms, and can be quick with her wrath.

Years on drugs leading up to this quieter life have made Rory a bit antsy, and though she still does some drugs she’s transitioning to chasing an adrenaline high - her addictive personality is always going to be her fatal flaw.

If you don't know about Net Neutrality well you need to know about it now. This is no joke or a game because if we don't do something living expenses are going be harder to meet.

What is Net Neutrality:

It allows internet providers such as Verizon, AT&T and etc from controlling/limiting the public to access the internet. Currently they are only allowed to charge Americans internet speed but otherwise we have access to the internet without limits. 

Without Net Neutrality:

Instead of just paying the basic speed internet you’ll have to pay packages which give you access to certain things. 

If you thought being a college student is expensive bc of books and tuition imagine what you'll be paying just to do a research paper.

If you were against paying for YouTube red well it won't matter bc you'll have to pay just to access the website. This goes for all social media sites as well. You'll have to pay to access your email.

Forget paying for basic internet speed you'll be paying for packages that will only allow you to access certain websites. It's these packages is the reason why many cut cable and only pay for Netflix. To access the internet will become more expensive and controlled. Let that sink in if it hasn't already.

I am writing to express my support for Net Neutrality. The internet is and has been such a vital tool for so many people, and we must ensure equal access to the internet, and equal access to knowledge. 

Various companies such as Facebook and Google are also against this act, as they acknowledge that the repealment of Net Neutrality will allow telecom companies to play favorites with their customers. That is not fair. How many more services and institutions must fall victim to elitism, to classism? Simply because some detached wealthy people in high places want to restrict access to an extremely valuable and revolutionary resource?

Are people not already paying for Internet access? Why must we restrict them further? 

This is not just about the consumer; it is about companies as well. Smaller companies will not be able to keep up in this proposed environment, as they will be charged more by telecom companies for faster connection speeds. 

Repealing Net Neutrality restricts access to knowledge, restricts our freedom, hurts small businesses, and has the potential to further the economic divide in American society.

1. When did you start self shipping and why?Honestly? I’ve self-shipped ever since I was young. My first OCs were, naturally, self-inserts. I never quite knew what they were called until later, but, I knew that I loved shipping myself with characters because, well, I love them. As people and as characters there was something about them that I just adore and want to appreciate in a way. Self shipping was a way to do that and I super adore it.

Papa Ravus and twin daughters -3-

Hello and sorry for taking so long! Hope you understand it’s taken me a while.

Here’s the first Papa Ravus post, and here’s the “Ardyn with twin daughters” post that seemed to have inspired requester to also drop this one. :3

It’s been a while since we’ve been in Papa mode, but let’s see what happens  (˙︶˙)

Ravus with twin daughters:

Ravus chose to be single dad, romance is not much his jam but he does want to have kids, so he requested to rent a belly/womb.

King Ravus himself went personally with the lady who accepted the offer and he asked her “as a human being, not as your king, if it really is alright with you?”

Ravus asked she was medically tested first just to make sure it’d be as safe as possible for her to get pregnant.

Ravus worries that because of “a tantrum of my own” (which really ain’t tantrum, Ravy, it’s okay to want to be single parent

This man was put through so much pain in so many ways he’s grown a ridiculously huge heart and wants everyone to be okay.

His own cold, blank-faced way, but rly he’s just a cinnamon roll.

I am digressing.

Ravus checked on the pregnancy process almost daily.

You should have seen his reaction when he heard it was twins.

“My, what do we have here? C: King Ravus, it’s a baby girl!”

Ravus’ eyes go wide and he loses his breath and his heart drops to his feet.

“And she’s in company of a twin sister! Isn’t that wonderful, your Majesty? :3″

The doctor requested somebody bring him a chair and some nurse bring him oxygen.

No kidding.

Ravus literally loses the breath at that, he clutches at his chest and a hand blindly looks somewhere for support.

The gods bless there’s a nurse there to help him sit down and help him recover the breath.

“Ohmygod, your Majesty please calm down ;____;”

Eventually Ravus was able to recover the breath.

He’s so pale the nurse isn’t sure if he has to ask the doctor if they should make some blood transfusion

“Are you alright, your Majesty?”

“Yes, yes…I uhm…it was…shocking. It was only the initial shock. I expected a child; two is a surprise. That’s all.”

“A very wonderful surprise, isn’t it!? :3″

Ravus opens the mouth to reply but all that he does is shut the mouth and nod, looking upset in some way nobody can read.

Omg everyone shut up bc nobody’s sure what’s in his head.

Ravus goes back to his blank expression and unmovable attitude for the rest of the appointment and then goes back to his chambers.

Lunafreya is there (nobody died and no years of darkness AU because I need it okay, shut up)

“Brother! How did it go? :)”

Ravus breaks down in front of her.

He just looks at her in total silence some moments, and then his face transforms into a frown of mere pain and sadness.

Ravus stays quiet for some long seconds just looking at her with his ever-second-more-pained expression.

He puts the head down and just starts crying.

Lunafreya approached him, worried, and grabbed his hand to silently guide him nearby a chair. She had wanted him to sit down but he didn’t, he just kept the hands on his face and cried and cried.

She sat instead, and he went down on his knees in front of her and she let him rest his head on her lap, and he cried and cried while she caressed his hair.

He seems so broken omg Lunafreya is EXTREMELY WORRIED.

She’s thinking there were bad news, that they could have lost the baby, that there were complications or something as terrible.

“…they’re twin girls, Luna” Ravus cries out to her, unable to stop crying. “I am having two baby girls…”

Luna takes a moment before she understands and feels great peace in her heart.

Still she doesn’t stop caressing his hair.

“But then why are you crying, brother?  (˙︶˙)”

“…I am just…so happy…”

Ravus is so happy it literally hurts.

This poor creature.

He cried to exhaustion, the poor thing.

He’s impossibly happy, he’s also a bit sad because he doesn’t understand how “after all the terrible actions I did in the past” he “deserves this amounts of happiness and this blessing”, and he’s excited but also a bit scared because he’s going to be a first time dad, and he’s not sure he can handle two girls.

It’s not that he’s scared of not being capable of handling them, it’s that he “doesn’t want to ruin their lives”.

Ravus please you’ll do great just calm down

If you thought him overdramatic by checking on the pregnancy daily, imagine him now that it’s close to the day of birth and that these are TWINS

Omg he read on the net that that’s twice the risks

Ravus, stop reading on the net, it’ll only make you more paranoid

Don’t worry, everything turned out fine when it was the day

Ravus tried to be present during birth but he exited bc he’s so tense and nervous he’s sure he’s going to pass out

But as a dad he’s in debt with the lady that rented him her womb so it’s only right that he stays by her side during the pains and all.

The doctor is sure Ravus passed out at least twice

Nobody can tell because he’s sat on a chair at a side holding the lady’s hand and sometimes he rests the forehead to the bed

At first they thought he was just trying to calm down

Doctor now swears he actually passed out multiple times

Ravus has a poor management of emotions, please comprehend him

When they were born, Ravus refused to hold them because he’s shaking too much

He only looked at them in total shock and when they offered he carried them, he just tried, burst out crying, handed them back and he had to go a long way between crying, exiting for a breath, walking around, crying a bit once more and taking another breath before he was capable of trying again.

Which was good, that gave time for the babies to be with biological mommy (that’s so necessary post birth omg the poor creatures are terrified and need their mom)

Wow I thought I had nothing to say, I’m a deep way into this and the babies are just being born

I hope you’re not bored, anon

Ravus just gives me so many feels, Papa!Ravus skyrockets them.

When he finally held them, he didn’t let go in hours.

He only  let go when the doctor requested it and explained they needed to be looked after just to  make sure it’s all fine.

All the time he held them Ravus was super quiet and he looked between serious and sad, but wasn’t crying anymore.

The next few months, Ravus is switching all his attention (that doesn’t interfere with the most important king duties to attend) between attending the babies and the lady.

Ofc they ain’t married and she’s not gonna be there after she heals, but if she needs recovery that’s bc of pregnancy and she did it so Ravus could have his baby girls,and pregnancy isn’t easy in any moment so he’s in debt with her

That’s a gentleman doing things right, people, attending and being properly grateful

You learn from him

King Noctis sent Ignis and lady Iris his way; Ignis can attend minor royal duties for him and Iris can look after either the babies or the lady.

Not like Ravus doesn’t have his own advisor and attendants, but a little extra help never harms

He’s a king but he’s also a human being being dad for the first time YOU LET HIM TAKE THE CROWN OFF FOR A MOMENT, OKAY!? >:(

Once the lady recovers, he’s dedicated that time for his babies.

You should have seen this man preparing the room for his babies

He was a bossy mess of “BUT WHY THIS TONE OF GREEN, I ASKED EMERALD NOT GRASS THEY’LL BE MY PRINCESSESS THEY DESERVE A PRETTIER GREEN >:(”

“BUT WHY IS THIS CRIB SO FAR FROM THE OTHER- you know what never mind get rid of these cribs I WANT A DOUBLE SIZE DONE, these are TWINS, they HAVE to be together, WHAT WAS I THINKING”

“OHMYGOD I KNOW I HAVE TO BE IN COUNCIL RIGHT NOW BUT IF I LET THE PAINT DRY OUT THEN THIS TONE OF PURPLE WILL BE DIFFERENT TO THAT TONE OF PURPLE, DO YOU WANT THIS ROOM TO NOT BE PERFECTLY SYMMETRICAL!?”

“Ravus, you’ve painted this five times already”

He still can’t handle his emotions.

But don’t worry this happened long before the babies had to occupy the room so all paint is dry

They stayed there a few hours

then ravus grew paranoid and had their crib be taken to his room

all this effort just so he ended up with them in his room

Ravus is randomly waking up in the middle of the night to check on them, even when they don’t cry

He likes to spend a lot of time just staring at them

Both have his shade of grey on the little locks of hair on their heads

Ravus likes to stare because each time he finds something like a birthmark, the way or direction the hair grows, the shape of eyelashes, little tics, etc

Besides, like in the original post, he’s philosophied so much on the meaning of ‘daughter’ and ‘twins’ that he’s marveled by their presence, and it’s a strange concept and he loves it

Ravus is scared of learning to change diapers

It’s his Magitek arm

He doesn’t want to accidentally hurt neither of them

At first he tried learning with only an arm

He grew frustrated

Look at how adorable of a dad this man is:

Ravus is going to wear a wool glove on his Magitek hand so that it’s soft and warm to the touch for baby girls

He’s grateful for attendants and nannies because having a baby is very time consuming and he has TWO newborns, and he’s in charge of an entire kingdom, but really he wants to learn all that a normal dad and mom learn and spend time with them.

That’s why he’s changing diapers even though in theory he doesn’t even need to

Little girls won’t allow anybody that isn’t Ravus to bathe them.

They’ll complain and cry if somebody tries, and Ravus has to go hold them and do it himself.

Ravus likes to bathe them at the same time, so they spend time together and that way he’s not taking the eyes off neither of them

Baby girls are spending the while together, but really their main focus is given all to Ravus

They’re staring and giggling and making grabby hands at him all the time while he’s bathing them instead of playing together

Ravus isn’t what you call ‘Playful’, so he’s not playing with them; he’s just taking a motherly care of them and worrying

Whenever they make grabby hands at him or seem impatient, Ravus caresses their cheek very tenderly and lovingly, and they either burst giggling or make a baby soundof agreement/pleasure

Ravus is mostly blank faced even now with his kids

Except now it isn’t “I am angry at you, him, her, they, us, it and myself and I hate the world” kind of blank face, but rather “I am calm, a bit worried, quiet”, looking almost sort of naive, even.

Ravus takes his time bathing them.

He’s scared of accidentally hurting or dropping or any accident happening

He’s the silently-paranoid kind of dad

Sometimes baby girls like to splash water on each other; Ravus smiles every time

The babies are a lot like papa, and they aren’t a hyperactive mess, even though they do laugh and giggle and like to play around

When they started crawling, Ravus started crawling with them

He didn’t think about it, he was just sat on the floor with them, and suddenly a baby girl pulled herself on hands and knees and started crawling

Ravus was SO AMAZED

It was like a kid discovering a fairy; he’s all *GASPS* WOAAH .A. and so without thinking he starts crawling after her/at her side, staring as she crawls

Baby girl #2 got inspired by her sister and papa and started crawling too

“*GAAASP .A.”

Please don’t open the door,there’s a .o. faced Ravus crawling after a pair of babies

Ravus likes to put bows on their heads; Baby girl #1 always wears silver ribbons and Baby girl #2 always wears purple ones

Ravus isn’t fan of dressing them the same clothes because he doesn’t want to confuse them

“Why do people do that, anyway? Why do they enjoy suffering finding out ho is who?”

“Ravus, you can identify which girl is which when they’re only in diaper”

“Yes, but what if I see them from afar and can’t tell which is which?”

“Ravus, it’s just cute that they dress the same.”

“It’s ridiculous. Each is an independent and strong baby, each should have her own style.”

“…Ravus they’re seven months old.”

Still, Ravus just doesn’t see the point in dressing them the same

He does, however, enjoy dressing them in something that matches but isn’t the same

Like same design of dress, but different colors

Or one wears Mickey the other is Minnie (can I have Disney in FFXV pls)

Ravus wanted to be the one in charge of teaching them to walk.

The man got extra soft foam mats especifically for this task

If they’re gonna fall, they better land somewhere extra soft

Ravus spends hours just teaching them

He’s incredibly patient, you wouldn’t believe it

Whenenver one of the girls gets to walk some steps, he’ll receive her in arms and cuddle her for some moments, giving encouraging phrases, and then he’ll continue trying so they improve

Even after they master their walking, he’s going to stay there still “teaching them” just for the hugs

The three love them, dammit

Ravus lived a tough military life so he’s not playful, but he tries to have fun with the girls

If they wanna poke him, he’ll let them; if they want to make him laugh, he’ll chuckle; if they want him to chase them, he will..he’s not going to be roaring and making dramatic faces, but he wlil chase after them because he knows they’re having fun

Ravus, his own way, is sort of having fun too

Baby girls are yelping out and giggling when he’s after them

He stays quiet but smiles and chuckles at times

Omg you should see these girls when they think it’s safe, and suddenly Ravus appears by the corner

“AH!!!! AHAHAHHAHAHAHA! o(≧▽≦)o”

Ravus is just there like (˙︶˙)

Baby girls team up to “attack” him

Ravus always let them win

Ravus can hear and sense them when they’re hiding behind something or under something, but he won’t say a thing.

He’ll even get in a vulnerable spot and position on purpose, so that they can jump onto him.

“Oh! Oh no, you have got me! Oh, no, you are so strong, I cannot stand back up. Oh, no. The pain. I surrender; I surrender, my princesses.”

Ravus is a bad actor

But baby girls don’t know that and they’re SUPER PROUD OF THEMSELVES AND THEIR SISTER OMFG THEY WON AGAINST DADDY! ( ´ ▽ ` )

Baby Girl #1 likes to chew on his ear when he’s down there being attacked.

Baby girl #2 likes to smack his back

Baby girls, ever since they were tiny, like to takea cloth and rub on papa’s Magitek arm for some reason

They want it to be SHINY 

Ravus let them

Ravus was very wary of letting them nearby his arm, but he’s picked them up with it, has changed diapers, bathes them, and he figures he’s got no reasons to worry; it’s metal, but it’s his arm, after all, so he controls it and he would never do any harm to his babies

The babies may be quiet like papa, but they’re still incredibly curious

They’re trying to grab everything

Ravus used to be a paranoid mess

He got used very quickly to the girls’ constant attempts of grabbing everything that he’s mastered the technique Catch Them Without Looking

Baby girls trying to take the sword, he’s calmly taking it and putting it away

baby girls are trying to undo the belts of his boots, he’s reaching down to put them away

Baby girl #1 is trying to grab a glass and Baby #2 tries to grab a coin, Ravus keeps talking with Accordo’s first secretary without taking his eyes off her and grabs both babies without moving from his chair.

Baby girls like to play with his hair

Baby girls, when they grow to like 4 or so, start refusing to sleep until Papa goes say goodnight

Baby Girls call him “Dadvus” for quite a long while

Ravus isn’t sure who gave them the idea, but he’ll find them and probably smack and thank them at the same time

Ravus thinks art is very necessary in life, especially as a child, so he’s taking them to so many orchestra concerts and plays and dance performances.

Baby girls love it and always are a mess of clapping and cheering

Baby girls are performing their own dances in their room

Sometimes Ravus joins

Usually he just has to stand there and move the arms a little while baby girls dance around them

Lunafreya says it’s like a daemonic ritual and they’re sacrificing him to the gods

Ravus is also trying to get them into literature

He’s bought so many children book, he could make a library out of them

He does, actually

He gets an unimportant small room of the palace and asks it be turned into a library for his kids

As ages go it turns into the girls’ safe heaven

Every time Ravus knows one of them is sad, he’ll go to the little library and she’ll probably be there

Ravus is the best at comforting

Ravus understands pain very well, so he understands that it’s not about  making them laugh; he’ll sit with them or lie at their side (Girl #2 particularly does lie on the floor when she’s sad) and he’ll just stay in absolute silence all the time

Usually baby girls end up crying and climbing onto him or snuggling at his side

That’s when Ravus hugs and kisses their head, but still says nothing

Curiously, it’s that he never asks what’s wrong and only offers his company what makes the sisters grow confident and trusty enough to tell him without being asked

Ravus likes reading to them when they still don’t know how to

He’ll sit with both on his lap and the book in front of the three, so he reads and teaches them like that

Ravus won’t skip the page if a baby girl insists she reads it until she gets it just fine

Ravus can spend an hour in the same page just to let them stare at the drawings and repeat the same words

(sometimes they get so excited they read an entire sentence they’ll repeat it over and over)

Ravus sits at a side of their bed (the girls still want to share bed) to read them bedtime stories

When they were like 5 they asked him to do it but lie in bed with them

Ravus doesn’t get the point of holding a book above his face , it’s tiring

He’s not complaining just because each twin is snuggled to each of his sides

Sometimes Ravus doesn’t bring a book; he’ll just lie in bed and tell them stories

At first he was telling them stories he had heard or learned or that he remembered (maybe sometimes altering a few facts, bc it may be too explicit)

He soon starts inventing his own stories

Papa Ravus has more than once fallen asleep there telling them stories

The twins’ even breath, so calm and peaceeful, and both so warm snuggled at their sides, it’s very soothing and he just…falls asleep

If King Ravus isn’t in his bed at morning, he’ll be at the girls’

Ravus has FAR MORE THAN JUST ONCE

woken up with rainbows and other things drawn on his face

Seems like it’s a genetic thing bc baby girls are showing themselves to be early wakers, except they’re still kids so they wake up even EARLIER than Ravus himself

Thank the gods Ravus always showers before starting the day or he’d have….

….well it DID happen twice or three times, in his lazy days, that he went to have breakfast before showering

He’s got moogles drawn on his face

He’s going through the hallways of the palace greeting everyone, with moogles drawn on his face

Speaking of moogles, the girls love them

SO MUCH

It’s from the days Iris spent as temporary helper in the Fleuret palace, and once the babies were crying so much but they weren’t hungry or sleepy or dirty, so the only thing Iris thought about was to give them a moogle plush toy

Ever since then, the girls want EVERYTHING moogle themed

The room is moogle themed; walls and bedsheets and plush toys and their old onesies and their pajamas

Ravus has sworn to Lunafreya he will burn the room as soon as they grow tired of it

“Why do you hate moogles?”

“I don’t have them. But they are obsessed. I’m getting tired of seeing so many moogles.”

Ravus once held a moogle plush in hands and glared at it

“…of course it had to be. My curse, set by an Amicitia. Bloody Amicitias.”

Ravus had to agree once to dressing like a moogle mascot for his kids during winter celebrations

How can anybody say no to those sparkly, huge, beautiful grey eyes?

Ravus is not going to repeat that

He would have, if Lunafreya hadn’t taken photos of him

King Noctis has been sending him moogle memes ever since that day

Speaking of eyes

Each baby girl already claimed one of their father’s eyes

Ohmygod that sounds so creepy 

Baby girl #1 says that the silver eye is hers, and Baby girl #2 says purple one is hers

(see what I did, it’s like the colors of their bows)

The girls aren’t allowed to touch the eye that isn’t their own

Because Ravus lets them touch his eyes

They are obsessed

“They are so pretty, papa, you don’t understand(」°ロ°)」”

Little girls are following Ravus everywhere, in a line, like ducks or chocobos

Ravus is mama hen

He’s going places and the twins walk in a line behind him

Whenever Ravus turns to face them, they’ll just look up at him and smile and say nothing

Ravus won’t question them

Ravus is letting them walk into the Council room and everywhere else except the bathroom

As they grow and Ravus starts attending his king duties with the time they require, baby girls start following him even more

Sometimes when they are “playing” (Ravus still plays in his strange style) and Ravus is called somewhere else, the twins will tackle or throw themselves to him screaming “NOOOOO” and try to stop him

It always worked when they were tiny, they landed on him and he was thrown on the ground helpless, right?

Nope ahahaha

Ravus is standing up with the girls hanging from him and going where he’s needed

There’s king Ravus, with a girl hugged to his back and the other hanging from his magitek arm

They’re biting him

Ravus is so strong and big he can just grab them by the back of their shirt or dress like they’re lion pups and put them down and away

Baby girls are waiting outside the council or throne room, sat in the hallway, arms crossed and refusing to leave until papa comes out

They’ll leave if Ravus, before or during or after his duties, gives them The Stare

It’s not mean or aggresive, it’s just a stare with a slight raise of the eyebrows and a slight tilt of the head that says “Baby girls, this is not right and I ask you to be good, please.”

Baby girls usually understand and stand up and behave really good with the nannies and allow them to walk them back to their room or the little library or the gardens while papa does his stuff

Ravus was put through such a harsh training and education when he was taken by Niflheim that he’s grown very wary and a bit terrified of nagging, and that’s why he sounds so soft with his girls

As in, he doesn’t like raising his voice at them or frowning or nagging them as normal

He’s trying to raise them in a way so that he can have soft but firm conversations and interactions with them so they don’t grow too pampered but also so he doesn’t have to raise his voice at them or anything

He’s just….so affected after Niflheim, that when he raises the voice just a notch at them and he sees their big and innocent eyes, he feels like he’s torturing them or something and he doesn’t want to be the bad guy :(

Ravus is raising them the “let’s express our feelings” way

“Clean your room, please” instead of “Look at this disaster”, “It’s time we go; say goodbye” instead of “how long are you going to make me wait?”, “Do not leave my side, okay?” instead of “where do you think you’re going?”, “Listen to me, please” instead of “I’m talking to you”, etc.

You thought Lunafreya could make a big change in his personality?

Pfft. She ain’t gotten nothing compared to his daughters.

The girls like to cling from his legs

There goes king Ravus through the hallways of the palace, with a girl hugged to each of his legs

Ravus is very strong and they weight nothing, so sometimes he literally forgets he’s got these pair hugged to his legs

He once walked into an important reunion with Niflheim’s Chancellor (a good one now that everything is peace, fight me) forgetting the girls were clinging to his legs

Remember how Ravus is grateful for nannies and such but wants to learn all that other dads and moms learn too?

Ravus asked Lunafreya to teach him to braid hair

The girls behave a lot like fairy tale princesses so they like to wear pretty hairstyles, and Lunafreya’s attendants or Luna herself always comb their hair as they want

Well Ravus wants to do it too

It feels important

Ravus was actually very slow at learning

It was already rather difficult on him, a Magitek hand isn’t much help

Ravus is practicing with a wig, and the hair sometimes gets stuck between the articulations of his metal arm

The poor thing isn’t giving up

He wants to be able to do this for his daughters

Ravus is going to practice every single day :’)

It took five months  before Ravus dared try on Lunafreya

Ravus is the slowest person to braid hair

THE SLOWEST

He’s still scared of causing any harm and he’s nervous, so he’s doing it very slow

Luna’s neck and back hurt after sitting wtill and tense for so long but she’ll say nothing on it

Ravus has self-esteem but after Niflheim it’s incredibly fragile, so he needs this confidence

It takes him another 5 months of practicing with Lunafreya before he dares try with his daughters

King Ravus is always late to his duties from then on

“What were you occupied with, your Majesty?”

“My daughters wanted a double braid.”

His daughters are more important than his kingdom most days FIGHT HIM

During royal balls, Ravus will always ask his daughters for a dance

He carries both and dances with both at the same time a song, and then he’s dancing with each one individually

It’s super adorable

He does that ever since they were babies and couldn’t even speak yet

When they were babies, Ravus would carry them and dance himself

When they grow and can walk no troubles, it’s even more adorable because Ravus has to bend down (unless the girls ask him to pick them up)

Giant Ravus bent down and reaching the hands down so baby girl can take them and they can dance

Ravus was very moody when they started going to school outside the palace

“How can you all trust your child’s education to absolute strangers?”

Ravus, that’s….that’s your Tenebraean people, you should trust these teachers

Ravus never had anything against school until his daughters started going

Don’t worry he’ll grow used to it

Ravus is secretly sending undercover guards to make sure the girls make it safe to school and back

Like they don’t already have the man that picks them up

Ravus has tried going himself but #KingDuties

Don’t worry he doesn’t really hate it, he just gets moody lapses

Little girls still enjoy wearing their bows

Ravus now can braid their hair and decorate it with bows

He actually enjoys doing that

It’s very relaxing and he spends time with his daughters, so

He’s fan number 1 of braiding their hair

He lets them braid his hair

He’s letting them put bows on it, too

Whenever he’s in front of the media, Ravus is going to ask each of his daughters if she wants to stay 

All the flashes, so many people, and all that noise can be overwhelming, so he’s not forcing them to stay if they don’t wanna

(I stole that from Britney Spears,omg, that’s a good mother)

Each morning, each  night, he’ll kiss each their foreheads

He also likes to caress their hair as he does, or when they’re asleep

Even when they’re grown and in separate beds, Ravus sometimes still wakes up in the middle of the night to go check on them

He always tucks them in if they’re uncovered, and give a kiss to their heads

His girls are truly a blessing to him, he still can’t understand how he deserves this happiness and these precious girls, so he may be a bit overprotective and a bit “exaggerated” about loving them.

Ravus sometimes gets poetic with them about it

He has expressed to them about how he “loves them so much, I get frustrated because all the years of my life will not be enough to demonstrate it as you deserve, but if this is the only life I have got to do it, I will dedicate it entirely to you.”

He doesn’t mean that he’s going to gift them every second of his existance, just that everything he does will be done dedicated to them, thinking about them

Which, as consequence, drives Ravus to become a much better person of himself each day, and helps him to be the best version of himself :)

Exactly. We will never know his true reason (publicly). If he make a mistake he will learn from that one too. I can understand that no one understands it now, but maybe if he wins that CL.... 

I mean for now people can sulk and I think many will for a while... Barca will look different without him, play different etc It will have a big effect on our season, but hopefully we will recover from him leaving. And he will do good too.

It’s not best for our team to see him leave, but he wanted to go or whatever his reason was he decided to leave. We just have to accept that now.

i am going to take this day to be sentimental. like, everyone who can be sappy, compliment or praise aven and not be bullied for it, y’all are so fucking lucky, but just you wait until you come to the point where they realize you’re going to be friends with them no matter what an ass they are. it’s not funny, okay. i got this amazing, talented friend who has changed my life in so many ways but if i try to tell them that, they either 1) say NO 2) WHINE 3) ask if i need glasses ( no, jay pritchett, you’re the one with glasses. ) 4) call me a dork and throw something embarrassing i did in my face to distract me. they are going to hate this sappy rant but i hate when they make my muses cry so PAYBACK.

my journey with aven began long before i knew what an aven was. in actuality, we could have been friends a long ass time ago if aven hadn’t been a lazy fucker and not responded to my seconds message on a blog they had before andrew even existed, which is a really embarrassing story though. fate didn’t give up, which i’m really happy about. i found andrew while i was still locked inside a fandom with a two-year old muse as well, as andrew is to aven now, and i remember fangirling SO hard. i didn’t expect someone with such an high-quality blog ( and really, were they? i mean, compared to what they are today? they have developed every skill IMMENSELY, it’s amazing ) to follow me back, so i was squealing in a post about this SUPER cool SWEDISH original character i found. haha. joke’s on me, aven followed back and liked it. i thought i was going to die. ya, one of those fan-was-lucky-enough-to-become-a-friend-type of stories. aven inspired me to make my own swedish original character ( jonas, which you see on this blog even today, though he had his own blog back then ). the awkward shenanigans that were those two swedish buffs, and also me talking about how nice it’d be to own a boat, that was the foundation of our friendship ( and they will NEVER let me forget that ). the thing is, aven and i have talked EVERY DAY for one and a half years. more and less some days, of course, but we don’t think we missed out even once. we can’t remember doing it, anyway. i message this person almost as fast as i wake up and we keep babbling until one of us falls asleep, with slight breaks for school, naps and other important stuff ( yes, naps first, everything else second ). when aven and i first became friends i was the biggest sap, y’all have no idea. i remember expressing how much better i felt about life because when i fell asleep at night i could feel that i had someone who cared about me. the fact we didn’t live days and oceans and plane-rides away from each other, it had a great impact on me. we didn’t meet the first time until like, february 2016 or something like that, but just the fact that aven was out there, it was a huge deal. i broke off a lot of toxic relationships with aven by my side. the poor bastard was stuck in a skype-call with me where i just cried and we kept writing to each other despite that we had microphones bc aven was so fucking shy. that lead to several more skype-calls through 2016 which were never less than like, 8 hours. this person and their support got me to a point in my life where i could pursue my dreams. i won’t get into details with it, but this was nothing that they had directly planned, but just something that came out of me feeling strong enough. they were the safety net that i always screamed at before taking a difficult test and who told me to just breathe. i always passed, and aven was always there to tell me how hopeless i am for panicking but also that they KNEW i was going to pass. the point is, i never really felt like i was alone through this whole time that i have had aven. they are definitely like, one of my favorite people in the history of mankind, after like, jesus. aven has been the most mature friend i have ever had. all the times we could have blown into a fight, because i get so passive aggressive if i’m hurt enough, they always made sure that we calmed down and that i wrote out exactly what got me upset. aven never wanted any drama or fights, which has been the biggest relief for me. they always take time out of their own misery to make sure i am okay. when i am not okay they can stay up until 3am just so i won’t do anything dumb before i sleep. do you hear what an amazing human being this is? yeah. all aven is going to say is “WELL IT IS THE TEACHER IN ME” but, teacher or not, amazing nonetheless. a lot of the time i want to break myself down. i feel so useless, boring, ugly, annoying, and like everyone hangs out with me just for pity. i feel like our friendship is not what it used to be and that aven definitely doesn’t like me the same way, maybe bc they don’t handle all my ass-kissing anymore or give it to me in return, bc we’re too close for that, but aven is always there to tell me “wtf kaffi i talk to you every day when would i have the TIME to start hating you”. aven always talks to me about how worried they are for everyone. their dashboard, people they do and don’t talk to, they are both happy when you are happy and sad when you are sad. aven wants to spread positivity, and make this roleplaying community a better place. which they are. not only do they give us a wave of original, unique, well-written characters, awesome graphics, but also always greets us good morning, good evening, and sometimes good night. aven has always been so good at being the best they can ooc on their blogs, something i am personally awful at. there are still things for me to admire and try to become in this friend of mine that part-times as my bully and makes me cry about five times a week. i am eternally grateful that i get to talk to this person every day, and that our gay and our shared bitterness has kept us going through a lot of shit. and now, aven is one year older, along with their blogs, and our friendship. i know it won’t help that i wish you a great day, so i’l just say... i hope your cramps don’t kill you !!
