i've talked about this previously on my multi, but chiyo has such a terrible time telling her loved ones no. she really wants to make them happy. there's also a fear that she can't be liked if she isn't always willing to go with the flow, particularly in her adulthood bc as a teen, she often flaked out or turned down opportunities to hang out. she never wants to cause trouble, disappoint someone. if she considers someone a friend, then chiyo will bend over backwards for them, and most of the time, she's happy to do it. she just tends to put her feelings last, which :' )) y'know :' )) is a problem :' ))

i mean, i made a post in like august right after playing 4.0 archon quest that said like "so all fountain ppl are oceanids huh" asdfg. tbh i kinda thought this is too obvious bait and would not be a final reveal. like you don't need 1 hour video for this, it's just the easiest answer to "why do they dissolve" and "why can they form an oceanid".

the video itself is clownery tho. like the main idea is that primordial one sent primordial water to dissolve fountaine, bc he got mad that prev hydro archon made ppl out of hydro eidolons. and her main argument for that is albedo's line about arrogance of creators and gods, taken completely out of context, and she somehow uses it to argue that creation is a "sin", and primordial one would want to punish it. by making a whale out of primordial water and sending it to dissolve fountain ppl. its not even a leap of logic bc there is no logic here. albedo's line doesn't even mention sin and in context, it's about should creations worship their creators just bc they are creators? bc its from event where albedo discovered that his own creator made other version of him and fed that version to a dragon. like. how is albedo grappling with his mom issues connects to primordial one.

and we just don't know who else is involved and why. primordial one might as well be involved, we don't know! but like. this is not theory, this is throwing spaghettis at the well and pulling out random quotes to justify it

tldr. fountain ppl might be oceanids. that whale might even be made of primordial water. we don't know yet.

In Dustin’s universe, he’s really good friends with Will and El, he knows Mike through Eddie, and seeing his good friend as another Spider-Man is endearing to him so he visits Mike in his universe a lot to get away from most things-

However in his universe he and El are good friends but never get the chance to talk considering she is still with Mike, at first- he was never interested in relationships after everything that happened with Suzie, it was too hard to bare at the time. He was out of it for the most part- he drifted away from Mike, El, Will and all of his friends. However when he went into the Spiderverse with Mike and met this El- they sort of began to bond. Mike and Will had their own problems trying to avoid each other, but realized that avoiding the problem won’t fix anything, they try to make amends as best they can together. With Lucas and Max trying to fix things as well they are sort of stuck in the middle and decided to support each other, Dustin began to open up to El because she was the only one who was there to listen and genuinely understand. She told him what she went through too, they finally found someone on equal footing with each other.

It began to shift into a more complex friendship, he would visit her universe just to talk, and she would do the same.

They both agreed to keep their relationship strictly as friends, until Dustin would be up at night thinking about her, his feelings became mixed and it troubled him, he confronted El saying how scared he was to loose her as well.

He could never imagine the world without her in it and it scared him. “The world needs Spider woman. But what happens when I need her more?”

She felt his anguish, but from what they’ve seen from Will and Mike, trying to avoid anything and each other doesn’t solve anything, it hurts more to stop.

“Then why stop?”

She told him that Spider man or no, they are people too, sure they aren’t normal but who cares? They have each others backs and understand each other more than anyone else in the world. Maybe that’s worth more than something?

Yes they do get together! And they stay together! They have minor bumps in the road in their relationship but they communicate and pull through it together, they understand everyone around them more than they know, what they see around them makes their relationship stronger, and they teach each other a lot of things, El’s relationship with Hopper gets stronger because Dustin tells her to keep the people she loves the most close to her. And in return, she tells him to open up to his close ones, allowing him to build up the courage to talk to Steve.

They are just such a cute ship and I think they would be the most healthy relationship but that’s my opinion lolll

Also they would do the iconic upside down Spiderman kiss except Dustin would jump back onto the ground so they can do the kiss <3

And they hold hands the most out of everyone, the first time they talked they held hands as sort of support and understanding of each other, it became their connection to hold each other tight and never let go. :)

i did a lil bit of reading on traditional japanese birthdays, and individual birthdays weren't really celebrated until around the fifties! instead, new year's day was considered everyone's birthday ( everyone turns another year older vs. on their day of birth ), and ceremonies would be held for certain milestone ages. there are a few different " coming of age " ceremonies, though it's a little unclear if the traditional genpuku or the modern seijin shiki ceremony would have been practiced during taisho japan? bc everywhere i've read thus far just says the modern practice became popular after world war ii without specifying when exactly it started. but i'm going to assume the rengoku family probably went the more traditional route bc that's the impression the family gives me uvu

you're probably wondering why i'm rambling about this, and well!! i'm just thinking about kyojuro and how he probably didn't really have that ceremony. as much as his dad was struggling, i don't think he would have felt motivated to set it up, and tbh!! i don't think shinjuro would have wanted to. declaring that your son has come of age means that your son can now be sent off to war, and as a rengoku, as a member of the demon slayer corps, that was inevitable. but if shinjuro never declared that kyojuro came of age, then he never had to be a slayer, right? he never had to go and throw his life away on a hopeless cause, right? his son could remain home, safe and sound, right??

wrong, of course. kyojuro doesn't need a ceremony to assume the duties of the head of household or as the flame hashira. he is most definitely a dutiful son, but his father isn't himself and hasn't been himself for some time. while kyojuro still loves him and respects him on some level, he doesn't listen to him because his father's words and behavior are wrong. he doesn't wait for his father's permission to take on more responsibility or to work towards the hashira seat. he pretty much!! just tells his dad what he's doing and that he'll make him proud and waits for shinjuro's negative reaction.

this is kinda melancholy for a birthday hc huh asdfg but that's just how it is sometimes, especially with this family :' )) i do like to think that kyojuro always writes to senjuro around new year's if he can't be home ( it's filled with a bunch of well-wishes ofc ), and when he can be home, they definitely go to the city festivals and indulge in way too much food and all the lil games :' )

I've actually been writing for a very long time, just for different fandoms ^^; mm, I guess I've always loved reading, and wanted to produce works people could immerse themselves in? I just hope my writing stirs up the emotions I intend it to in those reading <3 it's also super fun and a healthy way to wind down! (plus, i've met lots of lovely people through writing down my silly little thoughts ^^)

🧐 Do you spend much time researching for your stories?

oh my god, a lot. so much. I've actually been dying to talk about this hahaha,, if there's one thing I have to make sure I do in my fics, it's accurate representation—whether that be through my characterisation, or just random elements I integrate into the plot. for example, (and I find myself giggling about this bc I was doing the most) I researched mating habits for rabbits and foxes before I wrote gentle hahaha. "Wooyoung’s tail stiff and pointed horizontally," is an actual thing foxes do while mating, the more you know. ^^

🎃 Do you write fics for certain holidays? Which is your favorite holiday inspired fic?

I haven't had the chance to do that yet, but I really want to! I actually have a christmas fic in mind for wooyoung~ ^^ I might think of a halloween one, but I'm unsure how my writing style would work with darker themes oops-

🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?

oooh, good question. mm, maybe action? most of my fics are more on the softer side, so I don't have much experience describing complex scenes. that's probably why heists and celebrations proved to be a little challenging for me, but it was still very fun! I definitely want to experiment with that more in the future, maybe with longer fics? I have another wooyoung idea (surprise) in mind for that, but I'm unsure when I'll actually sit down and start it ><

kaiya: watch as i offer you all older sibling/parent figures bc i love such dynamics uvu kaiya is such a soft and romantic soul, so i'd really love to see how her and inosuke's views differ and affect each other. like she romanticizes nature a ton bc she's so in love with the world around her, whereas inosuke has a very practical/realistic view ( like how he doesn't understand why tanjiro wants to bury the bodies in the episode he first appears, or the comment he makes about that lady dying in the mountains if she walked so slow during the entertainment district arc ). while she's a comrade, she's also a demon, so that might cause a bit of friction to begin with? depends on what you think! and i just think inosuke deserves more people who are willing to be patient and soft with him <3

for your academy verse, i think it might be neat to sort of mash up chiyo's modern fantasy verses; originally, she's a witch who is killed and is then brought back as a vampire via her cousin naoki, but if it's something goro is capable of/would do, maybe he brings her back? and then she begins working at the academy as a teacher as one of the conditions of the deal he made with naoki. she's well-versed in spellcasting and has the ability of foresight, and even though she's only recently become aware of the latter, i could see that being a gift that man might be interested in! and yeah, goro's the one who'd be heavily involved at the beginning, but that opens the door to mess with ji-hun and deng, too hehe

you've mentioned that hina wouldn't be able to just allow another woman to get close or romantically involved with ren without butting in bc he's essentially all she has left in terms of family, and i'd loved to explore that tbh! the fact that ren's at the point where he's laid all his cards on the table for chiyo -- that says something, and i'd imagine it's only a matter of time before hina hears about her. chiyo isn't the type to be easily pushed around nor is she necessarily the jealous type, but it'd be really interesting to see how the two react to each other with their differing situations and relationships with ren.

as a small aside because i might forget by the end, i do think it'd be so cute to have chiyo meet kyosuke and ren's mom, too :' )) she's such a family gal that i know her heart would be so warm being around all of them, and i’d love to see how ren feels about it.

i honestly think it'd be interesting if chiyo's met both ji-hun and deng prior to ever meeting that man. running into ji-hun when he's checking in with ren, however brief, and it just keeps happening somehow; deng just appearing by happenstance bc he has business with someone else, but oh? this is that lady the rabbit's fond of! and as the desire to help ren grows, those two pop up more frequently just as chiyo begins to notice that red door, too, and whether it's all mere coincidence or not, it's kinda like she's being tugged in goro's direction. corralled, even. i guess this isn't as much a plot as just an extra detail to play with? so...

let's see chiyo complain to ji-hun about deng and ask how she can get him to leave her alone. she's genuinely kinda scared of him after their little chase; it doesn't matter if she just needs to play with him to avoid danger. she feels like she might actually be at risk.

let's see deng perhaps come to her aid, acting as protector rather than predator bc some dummy tried to attack chiyo on one of her many late night strolls. it'd be an interesting situation and complicated bc on one hand, she's always unsettled by his presence, but on the other hand, she should feel grateful. and you know deng is gonna manage to be at least a lil unhinged about the whole thing asdfg

and finally!! i've got my hands open for ren's au's -- you mentioned his incubus verse the other day, and why not throw chiyo's modern fantasy verse into the mix and indulge in supernatural shenanigans <3 i don't know if this would be the sort of situation in which she could summon him? whether on purpose or mistake asdf but there's that or the shop she runs at night that ren could wander into for a lil magical assistance. and since chiyo has a kny verse in which she's a kakushi, there's ample opportunity to explore their dynamic in that setting. let her tend to his wounds pls <3

     she never even makes it out of bed, settling back against the pillows and debating whether she should spend the extra time to rid herself of her growing frustration or not. of course, makiko eventually decides she will -- she doesn’t have anywhere to be until later, so it really can’t hurt. what does hurt is how her own fingers can’t possibly compare to kuroo’s, not quite long enough and having to work a little harder to get her to the edge. really, she’s frustrated all over again just thinking how he would already have her coming undone, or how he might get her close just to deny her that sweet, blissful end. 

     makiko’s eyes flutter shut as her mind latches onto the image, easily conjuring up kuroo’s mischievous smirk and his teasing gaze. are you close? he asks, and makiko shudders. of course she is, and of course he would know that. he just likes to see her squirm, knows how embarrassing it is for her to say it. don’t be mean, makiko thinks. kuroo’s smirk grows wider, slowing his thrusts until his fingers are buried inside her but very, very annoyingly still.

     he opens his mouth, and---

     “ don’t mind me. just enjoying the view. ”

     a startled yelp bursts from makiko’s throat as her eyes snap open to find the real kuroo testuro standing in the doorway of their bedroom, gaze hooded and a smile playing on his lips that looks a little predatory. it’s entirely lost on makiko, though. she’s too preoccupied by the overwhelming embarrassment that turns her already flushed complexion bright red. 

     “ i-i just--- why’re you home?? ” she trips over her words, scrambling to sit up. “ oh my god, how long were you there, tetsuro? ” does she even want to know? not particularly, but she doesn’t exactly know what else to say in this situation. sorry i tried to get off while you were gone doesn’t seem necessary and would be entirely too mortifying. 

     instead the setter hangs her head and attempts to hide behind her clean hand, groaning out, “ why didn’t you say anything? ”

btw the more i think about it, the more the idea of chiyo being one of the druids from the grove appeals to me. not just bc of the potential dynamics in that community, but also bc she's obviously gonna be so invested in those people -- the druids and the tieflings -- so the decision to move on with the companions to figure out the tadpole situation would be a hard one. and i love putting my oc's through hard things : )

I need to scream about RE ID bc like. Did I enjoy it? Yeah, I did. Was it. Just wrapped up way too nicely and quickly? Also yeah. I was a little disappointed by it tho, like the length, and the flashback scenes weren't as clear as I think they should have been? Okay also, I saw what you said with that flirting scene, and I agree that it seemed like Leon was trying to lighten the mood, but it so didn't need to be put in there at all @ the writers. Like this show could have gotten away with no romance, or just that one moment near the end with Claire and Leon (which, I don't ship them much, and that moment at the v end where she was like "are you ever gonna stop treating me like a kid?" And he responded with "probably not" or whatever kind of ruined whatever was shown earlier? Like it feels like she's had that convo with Chris before too, so I'm like hm no don't imply romance and then imply that he treats her like a little kid every time they run into each other, now it's weird lol) and been fine. None of the story was contingent on any kind of romance between anyone.

Now with that said, can I just say Patrick absolutely wanted to suck Leon's dick? Like he was smitten, and I bet you they at least fuck after all this is said and done, if not date for a short period of time. I thought they were gonna kill Patrick off, I'm glad they didn't tho, he was v wholesome lol.

Also I wanna mention that every serious moment (save a small handful) I just. I couldn't take it seriously, it was too over the top. Acid? Really? That's the self destruct measure? Slowly rising acid? I dunno, that doesn't seem quite right to me, I don't think that's how it works lol

Honestly they should have just made this into a new movie, bc making it a series implies more to follow and in general a longer narrative, but these eps were barely 20 minutes each, so there's almost no point splitting it like that. Did I enjoy myself? Yeah, I always do when Leon is involved, but it could have been so much better.

Also the silly little shipper in me is kind of desperate for more interaction between Chris and Leon, bc as far as I'm aware it's just RE6, RE vendetta, and RE ID (and I think the person who told Chris to save Claire in either code x or Veronica was Leon? Not 100% about that tho lol) where they actually interact with each other, and considering that they're the two main characters of the franchise, they should probably meet up more? Idk, that's just my gay ass hoping for more Chreon content lmao but still.

ANYWAYS yeah, I would rate the show like a 7.5/10? It wasn't amazing but it wasn't garbage, either. Probably my least favorite of the four animated movies tbh, but I will take the Leon content, thank you Capcom. Also it was interesting to see Leon around the time following/around RE4 and RE degeneration, I thought, I dunno.

oh boy I agree 100% it was wrapped up way too quickly in the end. like killing Jason? by just dropping him in the acid? it was way too simple and easy if you ask me. and like, why didn't he yeet Leon into the acid when he had him by the throat? him not killing Leon makes zero sense to me??

I am so happy that they kept the one liners!! Leon felt very, very in character which I loved so much. I was afraid they'd tone it down or make him super serious or so, and it was such a relief they didn't. he was so eager to help and so goddamn kind to everyone I don't know if my heart can even handle it ;;;;;

also Claire!! so badass!! I loved the part where she attacked the guy with the lamp (yes Chris would be super proud haha) and THE HEADBUTT seriously, one of the top highlights of the entire series :'D

and the flirting scene, I do think they could've left it out entirely and it felt a little strong-armed in. but I'm trying to look at the silver lining? Leon was super goddamn adorable in it, like, so cute it hurts :'D and Shen May didn't seem bothered really, it was more this joking thing between them. so while yes, it was unnecessary, i'm focusing on the joking feel of it and choosing to interpret it as such :'D

also, can I just say, the "romantic moment" with Claire and Leon near the end didn't feel very romantic to me? I know it's a romcom cliché (or at least a fanfic cliché lmao) how they ended up in a pile after the rescue but ...it didn't scream romance to me? although I do kind of like the pairing! (not a top fave but a cute one)

and yes, the whole "when are you gonna stop treating me like a kid?" "probably never" felt SO much like a sibling moment!! such big brother energy from Leon, and I don't know, that made me super duper happy?? I want them to be friends. I neeeed them to be friends gdi. which is why I am unhappy with how mad Claire seemed to be at Leon in the end and how they left it off like they did. I am hoping that it sets things up for a second season? and they for whatever reason need them on kind of the opposing sides at first? because otherwise it makes no sense to me for her to be that disappointed in him. in Degeneration they already establish they work in different ways towards the same goal, and for that to do a 180 now feels... like a disservice to the characters? idk?

lmaooooo but yes Patrick 100% wanted to suck Leon's dick he didn't even try to be subtle about it :'D idk I would've wanted Patrick to have more depth and screentime too, i so wish they would've made it a longer series and given the characters more development. because I liked pretty much all of the new characters they introduced! but it feels none of them reached their actual potential!

then again that is kind of the whole deal with resident evil in general, they set up awesome characters and end up wasting them half of the time :'D guess i shouldn't be surprised.

THE SLOWLY RISING ACID PISSED ME OFF lmaooo c'mon!! it doesn't seem like a good self destruct measure. especially since ...you'd need different acid to dissolve organic matter and to dissolve inorganic matter if we're being nitpicky. and how would it be plausible for them to store enough of it safely to even do this?? they should've just detonated the whole place and blown it to smithereens or something, the acid was. stupid.

i agree, it feels like a movie. but I think @tirsynni is probably right when saying that it was sort of a test run to see if they should make more? which I am so hoping for. because even with the complaints I have of this, I DID enjoy it, a lot!! and I do want more! and maybe this time we get Claire and Leon actually working together for more than fifteen seconds! :'D

also I definitely would not say no to more Chris and Leon interactions. (yes it was Leon who told Chris to save Claire :) at least that) it... in general makes no sense to me how capcom seems to think friendships work? like how Sherry is all "Leon and Claire are my best friends" and then they imply they haven't met in years? if not more? idek it's. weird. it's like their characters go into storage containers in between their missions to be stored away so they can't even accidentally have personal lives or friendships or anything. weird.

for me, personally, it's... well, my score for the show would depend on whether I just focus on the characterizations and what I liked, or if I try to actually take the plot and all into account too :'D but I did like this more than Degeneration! already the fact that Leon has actual facial expressions is enough to put it way above that one. (and for the record, I don't hate Degeneration either, I do like it, but... Leon is such a cardboard cutout with zero personality in it, it's super frustrating)

idk I think I need to still process this a bit to see how I will like it in the end :'D there are things i'm super hyped about in it, and things i'm disappointed in, let's see how they'll weigh in the overall experience eventually.

it reminds me a bit of warehouse 13 actually... w13 also had some crazy metaphysics, but on that show they were more willing to commit to some explenations, which i’d be ok with them doing here as well (like how the warehouse was “sentient” and chose its keeper, and formed a mental link with them... imagine if that were the case for salvador and the doors / if the doors were sentient :o)

but that’s why i think it’s a decision that makes sense: pacino and his romantic woes are a whole thing for his character arcs (el pobre se enamora muy facil!) as is the themes of “betrayal by loved ones”... i think it could be cool to see how their storyline parallels with things like OG Lola, Pacino’s evil gf, and even Irene betraying the ministry way back when in season 1 .

that was, as they say... inpecable. i never imagined we would get this season so my expectations will probably low low low lol But, I'm very optimistic from this episode actually. In other seasons, I've felt a bit overwhelmed with all the multiple conspiracies and plots going on... and it feels sometimes like they both ran out of plot by the end and things were rushed? but not much happened this episode in terms of big shadow-y things, which is very promising, it tells me they're trying to do a more focused streamlined narrative and will take their time with everything. I’m hyped!
