YEAH, for me it hits that same trope how like, in dsmp so many people (honestly both in character but also like, dsmp fans) depict Techno as The Blood God and like his power is some innate, given ability he didn't have to work for? As if Techno's dedication, smarts, and hardworking ambition aren't cornerstones of him as a person and cTechno as a character. Hence why I also prefer to depict him as the Blood God's Conduit, bc that doesn't magically make him good at PVP. He still had to train and work for all that skill.

Something about the deification wrapped around into dehumanization. Where Techno's actual effort is in the end dismissed because it's assumed to just be handed to him on a platter.

Maybe people in this AU think Techno has enhanced speed or stamina or reflexes, but nope. He's just good at what he does because he works hard.

And then, of course, comes the time they find out how very, very human he truly is
