just remembered when i was talking to my mom yesterday and i said "when im an adult" and realized i had half a second to rethink bc she would be like 'hello you're almost 27' so i quickly added "like a real adult when im in my 40s or something." nailed it 👍

#the behind the scenes context is that we were talking about vera bradley bags #bc ive been in charge of going through her late godmother's purses (she had So many) and she had a bunch of vera bradley bags #and i said i was gonna keep a set bc they have daisies and poppies on them and those are my favorite flowers #but im not really in to vera bradley bags i think are most are ugly tbh so i felt i need to explain my reasoning as to why (didnt need to)#and thats what i came up with. when im a real adult in my 40s. just replaying it in my head like why did i say that 😭#but like in my defense my mom is in her 40s (46) and she's my reference for an adult that likes vera bradley #director's cut: i thought of this bc i saw the basket of bags and was like “[set im keeping] is actually kinda cute now that i think abt it #so like the entire thing truly could have been avoided but i like to talk just to talk. words just come out on their own #she had no reaction (that i saw) to it and has probably already forgotten about it but im crazy so here we are
