For some context this is the kinda visual energy that Syd has. He's an illegal alien from Australia (Sydney isn't even his name it's just because he's an Aussie) he's an extremely gifted magic user and very knowledgeable. His morals are very iffy and he'll do a lot of shit for money. He's basically in the same rough category as Rack tho he does have a bit more decency and gets occasionally emotionally attached to people he might've otherwise fucked over.

He's Brooke's former dealer (in his very minor defense his thought process was "she'll just look elsewhere and I know my shit is clean"), took her in when she was homeless post the gym fire and family blowout, her ex-friend with benefits (INSANE bc she was like 16 and he's in his 20s) and also the one who talked her into rehab and got her set up somewhere that she'd actually do well.

When Willow revives the Twins and tries to cheat using the fact their souls are attached to get both when the spell is just for one it botches things REALLY badly. Buffy is okay physically but spiritually she's deeply wounded like in canon and for Brooke she's back okay spiritually/mentally but physically is basically a zombie. The one who fixes up the mess that Willow made is Syd and he forces Willow to help as punishment which does involve if not murder then morgue robbing to get the needed material to finish up Brooke's body. The Buffy fix is harder since it's to her very soul by it all prompts him to move up to Sunnydale and basically put Willow on magic lockdown.

He and Brooke had a demon body parts chop shop in LA which they revive to help keep the Summers family afloat in Season 6. I'm lowkey insane about him and Brooke because it's like a fucking car wreck but also... it's chock full of the power of friendship. It's like wesley/lilah you found on the side of the road. Syd himself is a very private and emotionally distant person and never really shares anything about himself, he just lets others vent into him and then he gives back whatever input he deems worthy of the situation. He's unethical but also takes his practice very seriously, he's like Rack or Ethan with rules he does not fuck with. He's a true believer in the magical arts and treats them with the appropriate amount of severity. He's a super intense dude and it makes a lot of people uncomfortable but he can be very gentle and affectionate when in private with someone who's gotten under his skin like Brooke.

Great question! Prepare for an essay tho hhhh

I played Genshin at launch but got bored quickly and stopped before I even met Keqing or Ganyu. I learned abt their existence thru fanfics, while looking for some wlw fiction to read. “Cornerstone” in particular is a fantastic fic that was being updated at the time. The author put a lot of care and effort into treating those characters seriously, and fleshing them and their dynamic out, which the game generally fails at.

Their dynamic just instantly captivated me. The way they went from being at odds, with their clashing beliefs, to reaching a mutual understanding. To caring abt each other. And it was never just pure hate, but something much more complicated and nuanced.

Back then it was just voicelines abt each other, and both characters had barely any screentime in general, but it was interesting enough of a basis. I started playing again, missed Ganyu's og banner but was lucky to win my 50/50 on Keqing's once-in-a-lifetime limited banner lmao. And the more I learned about them, the more I liked them.

I not only love ganqing, but I also love both characters individually, their personality, story, design, gameplay, they somehow just have everything that’s interesting and appeals to me.

Keqing is the Yuheng of the Qixing, meaning one of the leaders of the country, approved by Rex Lapis. She’s very pro humanity and believes that humans should fare for themselves, rather than rely on the archon. Not many ppl dare to think this, much less say it to Morax's dragon-adeptus face during the rite of descension. So she’s seen as controversial and disrespectful, and Ganyu as a devoted follower who worked closely with Rex Lapis for thousands of years just doesn’t understand Keqing. Rex Lapis absolutely approves of Keqing’s belief, and Ganyu cannot comprehend it no matter how much she respects and trusts him. It’s a very interesting conflict, that eventually gets resolved, giving us the basis of their potential romantic relationship.

Keqing and Ganyu are both very devoted to Liyue, so they’re both similar but also different. They complement each other. Keqing with her modern approach, quick and efficient, straightforward and bold. Ganyu with her old approach, with her opinions and strength hidden, not very straightforward. A confident human who knows what she’s about, and half-qilin that feels lost between the two worlds. But after Morax’s passing, they manage to find understanding, they go thru character development now just in terms of their relationship, but also them individually, and in relation to Morax. They can change each other too. They can learn so much together, from each other. Keqing how to be more patient and deal with uncertainities, while Ganyu how to be bolder, voice her opinions more and just live more for herself.

Ganyu is no longer bound by her contract, but she remains with the humans. She’s working alongside Keqing, in this new human era of Liyue. And while their limited screentime is locked behind time-limited events, it really shows that change, it shows how they care about each other. It shows Keqing’s relations with the adepti and how interesting it is considering her beliefs, and especially with Ganyu’s mother figure.

You could technically just sum them up in popular tropes like “enemies to friends to lovers”, "mortal x immortal" or “opposites attract”, but I think it’s so much deeper than that. I find ganqing's relationship very interesting and unique bc of their personalities, relations with each other and other ppl as well as their country, the setting, their stories, their identities, the conflict and character development they go through.

The game only gives us crumbs, but it also gives so much space and potential for this pairing. It’s never fully explained how it all changed between Ganyu’s voiceline how she started understanding Keqing a little, and their interactions in moonchase/lantern rites, where they’re clearly on very good terms. But I think that’s fine. It gives us freedom to truly flesh them out. Genshin’s storytelling is pretty crappy in the first place lol, so I think it’s cool to just take the interesting ideas, and make something much greater out of it.

oh hello! yeah i'm still active, though i mainly lurk on this blog in particular. i hope this provides some insight for you and thanks for asking! if you have any more questions i'd be happy to answer to the best of my ability! this got fairly long so apologies, i put everything underneath a read more to help.

i'll be honest and say that it was hard for me to envision a true ending for the story in the sense of a continuation. and i did ponder the idea of writing a sequel and prequel to it (that still lingers from time to time and you can always ask about those too if you'd like). there were so many different avenues i could have taken that picking just one left me feeling like there was more it. you can ask about those too, there was a lot of ways this fic could've gone and i'll be sounding a bit vague since details come easier to me as i actually write the fic. but one ending that i often came back to was the idea of kenma trying to find meaning in his life again, while still staying with kuroo. kuroo having some sense of closure and understanding would still look out for kenma, but ultimately gave kenma room to grow to find new experiences to build new memories. kenma would've done... nothing essentially out of character, but may be a bit more adventurous in trying to figure himself out. maybe travel a bit farther and realizing wow he hates packing. or getting another job bc god knows he isn't sure what's rly going on with his current one. especially considering that i envisioned that Nekoma would've been a big hit and many people were asking for interviews that he rly could not participate in for good reason. oikawa might have had to step in and offer some statements of things he did have answers to, but ultimately there would've been a lot of balance regarding press and privacy that had to be handled delicately. i think kenma would've had to grapple with the ghost of who he was, who kuroo hurt, and who he is. and that's a lot of ppl to take into consideration. bc there is a lot of things left over by those people that he has to carry. there would've been a sense of dissociation from those other identities, while still maintaining that it all kinda leads to the current him which also isn't all that different from before.

there would've been a lot of interference from every single party i've mentioned. both in attempts to get the two to move on, but to also help kenma feel better about things. the topic of gaining memories back would've been tossed back and forth, but i never thought too hard on the specifics there. i think everyone would've stayed rooted in their respective sides lol, but there would be no real winner.

i think there's also kuroo learning who kenma actually was bc kuroo had a v specific image of kenma in his head in their time together. that obv changed once kenma learned what he was up to and how he had to cope and navigate that. kuroo would've learned a lot of the ways kenma had to force himself to stay strong and all the sacrifices he made. while learning of kenma's secret life, bc wow you kept this whole side of yourself a secret from me and look at all this ppl in your life now. there'd be a lot of moments of kuroo having to face who he pushed kenma to become, especially in ways he wanted to protect him. kuroo and kenma would build a new dynamic i imagined. something more cautious, but still rather intimate regarding eachother (not physically, but moreso emotionally and mentally). i maintain that it is hard to cut someone out who you've known your entire life, and i imagine that kuroo and kenma have that kind of bond/soul connection that will just always naturally happen. some people may not be happy with that, but i think there's a lot that has built up over time and a lot of time to find something new. i can't ever say if it ever went romantic, bc i never rly thought it'd be on either of their minds as they try and find a new normal for both themselves individually and eachother.

tldr ; kenma and kuroo try to find a new normal and try to figure themselves out in the process. what that means for them as individuals and as two people involved in eachother's lives. this was an ending that i felt could've been the most transitional feeling that i felt was necessary for take me home. the means to fill the gaps the original fic ended on, that eventually leads to whatever else i would choose to make of it.

A little drama and a little spice is fun, but some of you LIVE for callouts, takedowns, vagues, etc. Ive said this before, ive never seen this many suicide baits and hurtful commments thrown around by people who supposedly care about the mental health of others.

All your sanctimonious 'take care of yourselves uwuwu be kind to each other' bs literally means nothing when you expose hundreds of people to harmful and triggering callouts for the sake of what? Fandom safety? Justice? Transparency? Be honest, you know its fucking not, bc i know FOR A FACT you know how harmful these callout campaigns are when you or someone you like is being targeted.

So in that case the serious answer for how I got into the fandom and into the ship specifically... well, I mean, it wasn’t much of a surprise, given that I've been a brocest shipper from way back. (In LotR fandom my ship was Boromir/Faramir. I ship all of the Karamazov brothers. If there are a pair of brothers in a work, I will at least consider shipping them, guaranteed.) But no other ship has ever so perfectly embodied exactly what I'm interested in with brocest ships as thorki.

I’ve seen a lot of people answer the question of why they’re into thorki and do a lot of minimizing of the fact that they’re brothers, and I mean, to each their own, maybe for some folks that really isn’t a relevant thing. But for me it definitely is. 

What got me into the ship was the picture the first movie paints of that sibling relationship. The picture we get is of an extremely close relationship, but also with undercurrents of incredible emotional complexity. They love each other deeply--Loki isn’t lying when he says he loves Thor more dearly than any of his other friends do--but there’s also resentment, old hurts, anger, envy, rivalry, misunderstandings, silences. They fit together and complement each other’s skills and personalities perfectly, and they have such thorough knowledge of each other that they can hurt each other terribly. They’ve played together and fought together, for hundreds of years of childhood and adolescence and young adulthood together, so it’s all dialed up to 11. And, like, to me that’s already some really compelling stuff. That depth and richness of the sibling relationship has already got my attention.  

But then there’s how it goes when the relationship shatters. There’s the intense, obsessive focus on each other in that conflict, and like yeah that aspect is standard hero/villain ship stuff but it takes on a whole new tone when it’s layered on that existing relationship, on those hundreds of years of tangled emotions toward each other. That combination, along with the particular acting decisions that were made in that movie and the two that followed--Loki rage-crying when he realizes it was “that woman” who changed Thor the way Loki had not been able to do in years of trying, and Thor’s heartbroken confusion to find that his beloved brother has snapped and suddenly hates him and he has no idea why, and the intimacy of the neck-grab thing, and so many other little details like that--just invites a reading that looks for long-hidden feelings, things that couldn’t have been openly expressed but would make things between them just that intense, that explosive, that important to them both. That reading makes Loki’s jealousy and possessiveness make sense, it fits with the sort of self-protective wall he has up earlier on, it works with Thor’s blind spots (things he doesn’t look too closely at because it’s just easier that way), it fits with a picture where Loki has been accidentally feeding Thor’s ego for years with his own almost worshipful adoration that he didn’t want to acknowledge was not “normal” sibling stuff. It fits so well I’m almost not sure how else to interpret it. And that picture, that magnified, amplified image of a sibling relationship but with these details and nuances that are on the verge of what we’d expect for a different sort of relationship entirely… I mean… wow. How could I not ship it?

And maybe this is a tangent but that’s a thing that I think is so amazing about the ship and about the capabilities of fiction in these sorts of areas. Because yeah that sort of intensity doesn’t have to be sexual/romantic in nature. Certainly not. But in fiction we can take the sibling relationship archetype, all the things that such a relationship means to us, and also make it erotic/romantic and see what happens and how it works and how it feels. And to me, their relationship, with all its conflict and its depth, lends itself to that exploration perfectly. (And that’s the thing that… I just deeply, deeply don’t understand what antis even think fiction is? Like. To me it’s how we experience and feel and comprehend far more stuff than we could otherwise cram into one lifetime? And stuff that we can’t physically experience or can’t safely attempt or any number of other reasons why not? So complaints that fiction is depicting “dangerous, harmful things” is like… yes? It’s functioning as intended? What’s the problem? But like you said, they’re not going after GoT or like horror writers or anything so it’s clear they don’t really believe their own bullshit but do enjoy the sense of power they get by harassing people on the internet. Oh well.)

How do you come up with so many new ideas for stories? I feel like I’m constantly stumped and stuck with cliches (and while those are fun and I absolutely love them) I can never really think of something to make it my own? When I see your writing I feel like you’re able to take cliches and make it your own so much it no longer feels like one, I’m always so worried about making a story to similar to another when trying to put a spin on a classic trope, also! such a good question to bring up! for me, personally, inspiration comes really easy bc im really easy. that sounds weird but i basically consume any form of media across various genres that would catch my interest. i read, watch, play (games mostly lol), etc and maintain a variety of interest in like all sort of things so i pull ideas from a lot of diff places. like, i REALLY REALLY love animals and nature documentaries so i like to incorporate that into my stories w/ in the form of post-apocalyptic mermaids au (what happen when majority of humans leave earth and those left behind returns to the oceans bc i watch a fake nature doc about mermaids which are apparently sea ape and how how all live originate in the sea) or plant au (where the earth is living entity and try to take back the planet w overgrown murderous plants and descend into a world of nature taking REVENGE etc). i also really REALLY like watching doc about history of conquered so that influence my writing a lot lol. so yea, i take inspo in all these media i consumed and turn it into something i want to read. so having all these various interests that are all over the place i dont have a problem jumping from one genre to the next and never really get bored! you can see me talking endlessly about the various media i have consumed (i.e shoujo/shounen/yaoi etc manga/webtoon, asian dramas, games, tv shows) and im always open to new ones too!! being open minded to try out things not in my comfort zone was such a huge help for me and now im like ok that sounds cool i’ll try it lol. 

also, i really what i call genre mashing like combining two things that dont usually go together automatically like ??? post apocalyptic mermaids??? the princess bride but steampunk?? OR beauty and the beast au in space?? LIKE all are ideas i have talk huge amount about bc i love putting familiar ideas and throwing it some weird wild settings and just HAVE FUN. if you have something you think been done a millions time before (which is not WRONG AT ALL) just think how you could do it different this time around or look at it in a diff perspective. like, i wrote a hundred arrange marriage royalty au AND I APOLOGETICALLY LOVES THEM and each time im like i already did desert setting so i’ll go for some winter setting this time around; or i’ll make them childhood friends last time, i’ll go for enemies; in other fic i explored theme of duty vs heart, now i want to explore war themes etc so like i dont intentionally try to make it diff but i just think how the story & chars may go if i take on a diff direction and sometimes that little change can have a rippling effect and turn into a whole diff story. so yea, dont be afraid to ask yourself WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF–? bc who knows where it take you! 

this also translate to when im reading fanfics of other ppl and I READ A LOT. LIKE A SHIT TON. if im not writing im usually reading something. when im reading other ppl’s fic i get to see their take on certain tropes or how they address certain that i may really like a lot and i want to tackle it on my own but that also lead to if i run into a branch in the story where the author does it certain way but i think myself hmm…. what if this happen the other way and THAT GIVES ME IDEA. like, dont let hold yourself back from reading other fanfics bc you’re afraid you get similar ideas when the whole of fandom is about inspiring each other. inspiration =/= carbon copy. i openly talked about my ideas all the time and not possessive about it bc sometimes ppl would ask me if they can write something base of it and i 99%  say yea go ahead bc the way they write it would be diff from how i write it even though it’s the same concept, how i write the chars & the themes may be diff from how they view it. you can HAVE THE SAME IDEA BUT DIFF EXECUTION. that’s the most important part!!! it is not plagiarizing bc seeding an idea is like part of fandom and it becomes trend a lot the way ABO gets around the fandom like wildfire lmao. 

last but not least, be THE FIC YOU WANT TO READ. this is why you usually see me starting a conversation w a i really, really LOVE/LIKE etc and ramble away about an idea and how it’ll go. a lot of my stories are a reflection of my interests like how im always talking endlessly about kingdoms, war, and rulers and conquerors bc im just really fascinated by it lmao /o. and there’s also all those single parents fic i wrote bc i deeply empathized with it due my childhood being raised by a single mother. and there are times when things that matter to me i put in my stories, like im hitting my 30s soon and im still single. i think i dont mind being like that but i want to have children so how would that work out?? things that plague me in real life i address in fics in term of surrogacy & sperm donation bc it’s something i consider about wanting a family when you’re single and dont have a partner. every fic or idea i have ever written or talk about you can see my fingerprints all over it bc they’re things i deeply, truly care and am interest about that i want IT TO EXIST IN THE WORLD so i write it out. i algo get really annoyed when im there’s a trend in fandom to take a trope in certain direction and i just dont like it lmao (i.e. villain!deku im more focus on izuku getting his redemption and how & yandere au  WHEN THEY ARE EQUALLY CRAZY ABOUT EACH OTHER) so i put my frustration and complaint into a fic. you can see this clearly in a lot of my ABO fics where i tend to put omegas often on top bc that’s just my particular taste. i dont try to buckle trend just to be contrary but i do it when my taste doesn’t match theirs and ya know be the fic you see in the world basically lol. just bc something is popular by the mass doesn’t mean you have to follow it even IF YOU THINK YOU’RE THE ONLY ONE WHO LIKE IT, let assure you’re wrong. there will always be someone who taste clicks with yours OR you can persuade them just by writing a kickass fic and just stand by what they wrote. sometimes, i find myself falling in love with a story i would never consider reading at all bc i dont like the trope or themes just bc the writing is v v v good or the writer CLEARLY LOVE WHAT THEY WROTE THAT THEY PUT THEIR HEART AND SOUL INTO IT and i can see it in their writing and im swayed. so yea, don’t think of putting a new spin on old cliche but try to think of as making it your own by doing it how you WOULD GO AT IT. how would you write the million abo fic? what do you like to see? HISTORICAL, SCIFI, FANTASY? how would you categorized ABO?? go for classic alphas rules society and omegas are lower class? or do the total opposite?? like DON’T FORCE yourself to be diff, just let it come to you and im sure you’ll be able to make it your own bc look there’s like a million fics on ao3 AND EVEN MORE THAN MILLION original novels in real life. you’re not going to invent anything new that had never seen before so dont try be diff but be yourself and soon you’ve have something that is solely your owns and nobody else and that’s the best advice i can give.

WHAT A WELL TIMED QUESTION but i’m going with my pre-community guidelines answer to make this short >> i’m agreeing with cloud about letting sideblogs send asks bc why isn’t that a thing?? and just the whole mobile app in general lol..like why can’t i see my tags in some of my posts and why can i never post things without running into an error message on there :// OH YEAH and can it not delete my links when i edit my description on mobile? thanks 

2. Your parents/siblings/very close friends get offered a tour around europe with no cost for a month or so and they ask you to come w/ them. Considering your current status, what would you do? 

Well I’m graduating uni in a couple months so if we could go then, I would be very down! But I would also probably feel the anxiety of needing a job and financial stability throughout the whole trip rip Also I don’t think I could travel w/ my parents rn bc we did go to europe for a while this summer and although I love my them a lot, I would rather travel with my sister or my friends for the time being :)

Artist of the Year- MONSTA X 

MX IS HAVING THEIR M O M E N T RIGHT NOW  and korea needs to pay attention! LIKE THEY RELEASED THREE (2 KOREAN, 1 JAPANESE) ALBUMS THAT ARE A++ WITH BOMBASS MVS/TITLE TRACKS, PROMOTING THEMSELVES LITERALLY EVERYWHERE WITH THE WORLD TOUR AND NOW JINGLE BALL AND ARE DOING IT WITH SO MUCH ENTHUSIASM EVEN THOUGH THEY MUST BE SUPER EXHAUSTED FROM WORKING NONSTOP THIS YEAR. And not to be that person but seeing them last year and then this year in concert really hit it home for me how much they’ve improved as artists and performers (not that they were bad to begin with) so in an ideal world, I would give a big award to Monsta X ❤❤

Song of the Year- Shine by Pentagon (lol sorry cloud)

it was a debate btwn shine or love scenario for me but shine did a lot more for pentagon’s popularity and name recognition than love scenario for ikon i think (since ikon already had ~ikonic~ songs like my type, rhythm ta, etc). The song itself is cute and really easy to get stuck in your head but not in an annoying way?? Plus the choreo made the hammer dance a thing (at least in my mind) and the way it rose up on the korean charts was p cool :)

I was late listening to it but after I got started, it was literally on repeat for at least a month. Just the way the album’s organized after ‘起承轉結’ makes the flow of songs from one to another is so perfect and all the songs were so good and it’s just really great 💗

uhm i read? that’s like the most boring hobby ever but i have been reading more lately than i have done over the last couple years, although I still have trouble finishing them..But I’m currently reading a book about the rise of China’s noveau riche and basically how capitalism functions in a country ruled by the Communist Party and no one wants to know how nerdy you are megan so just say you like reading and move on to the next question

hmm i’m really curious how ppl do gfx actually..like they’re always so pretty and creative and i’m always in awe but i don’t think i have the artistic mind for it. Also, writing fics is also something I respect and lowkey wish I was good at (even tho I never tried lol) since I find the process of transmitting my thoughts onto paper really difficult and it takes me forever to write stuff in general
