#bc if they officially investigate the situation they will have to make laws for AI usage and the companies don't want that

im hesitant to call it a 'silver lining' because of how fucking awful and sickening it all is, but seeing kpop fans finally wake up is at least mildly reassuring that maybe, just MAYBE stan culture as we know it might... get toned down (bc im not delulu enough to think it would completely die). like sure there will always be some brainrotts who will defend anything their faves have done, but in Taeil's case I'm seeing a (collective) different reaction than the previous cases.
NOW FINALLY the fans are asking "how many of them are involved?" "how many of their friends/bandmates knew and did nothing about it?" and acknowleding that we DO NOT in fact know ANY OF THESE MEN.
the sad part is that the rest of the names (apparently there are at least 200 korean celebrities in those groupchat/channels) probably won't be released. the companies would rather protect these monsters than to cutting them off like the disease they are and protect the victims because losing an artist to a controversy means losing money.
