Selene, the Moon Incarnate
Denizen of the Void Aspect
Selene is the Greek Titan of the Moon and various things associated with it, such as Lunacy, Tides, Lunar Months, Dew, and Childbirth. Daughter of Hyperion and Theia, she is the sister of Helios the Sun and Eos the Dawn. She once fell in love with the mortal Endymion, and asked Zeus to grant him eternal life. Endymion was put into an eternal sleep, ever young and immortal. When Typheus laid siege to Mount Olympus to challenge Zeus’ rule, Selene was one of the few who didn’t run. Instead, she battled the mightiest Spawn of Gaea, scoring many a scar upon her beautiful crown in the process. And that’s why the Moon has a bunch of craters on it instead of being smooth and pristine. She dislikes witches and their craft, for their rites would often black out her light in order to more effectively use their magic. Unlike Helios, who has four horses pulling his Chariot, Selene’s is only pulled by a pair of snow white horses, or sometimes by oxen.
The Quest
Land of Magocracy: A Land of powerful warlocks and witches, with a sky as dark and empty as the Furthest Ring. Without the presence of the Denizen or Skaia’s Light, the power of the magic users have increased exponentially, allowing them to basically rule the world with an iron fist as its Master Race. This mostly sucks for those without magic, as they are basically treated as garbage. Useless garbage as the warlocks would rather summon Underlings to do their bidding rather than go through the trouble of asking anyone else for help. The Player must overthrow the iron rule of the magicians, most probably by getting the Denizen to come back.
Land of Lunacy: A Land filled with raging monstrosities and rampaging berserkers. The Denizen is bathing everything in the full power of her light, inciting madness in all that it touches. The most obvious tell of this is the fact that the Consorts become half-wolf monstrosities under moonlight, and that the underlings suddenly gain new Prototypings when the moon is out. This makes travelling under moonlight extremely dangerous, yet necessary. The Player is mostly immune to the effects of Lunacy, though it would make them extra irritable normally and may turn them into Lycanthropes should they be bitten by one. The Player must confront the Denizen and cure the madness of the Land.
The Battle
Selene is a tricky Denizen to fight, for she mostly prefers to act subtly through the user of unsuspecting pawns rather than fight. Of course, this does not make her weak, for she is quite a formidable opponent as well. Her Chariot is fast indeed, and also excellent for running over things. Her various Phases would grant her a near level of flexibility and variety to her stats and abilities. And her mastery over the Lunar Madnesses, such as being a werewolf, makes her a force to be reckoned with. Especially when she turns into a massive Werewolf.
The Prize
Chariot of Selene - A gleaming silver Chariot, marked by many craters and scars. It is pulled interchangeably by a pair of horses and a team of oxen, both of which are white as the freshly fallen snow and with wings upon each of their backs. The Chariot of Selene is just as fast as that of her brother, capable of crossing planets within less than a day. And while it is not as impossible to control as its counterpart, it has its own issues. Whilst the Chariot is moving, it would emit a pure silver light that shall drive all that is Arcane and Occult away, preventing the usage of Magical abilities in and near the Chariot. It also has a chance to inflict Lunacy upon anyone nearby, though that's a lot less likely.
