The way Daishi is like "let's do thing because it would be hilarious" TWICE is chef's kiss. Daasaku operated on Rule of Funny confirmed, which is perfect.

The workwife/coworker soulmate is a real thing! It was really apparent the difference when compared to, say, Daishi's appearance on the Takechan livestream last night (with Rinapuu and Kishimon), where she was way more in "hang out with friends" mode. Here, it was all about optimizing the craft, honing the banter rhythms, maximizing the entertainment output. And as we see here, there's a pride they can take in that focus, as master craftsmen, something that they don't apparently share to the same extent with other current members of MM.

Being able to vibe with someone else on the nuts and bolts in the same way is, as Sakura said in her concert speech, something that is meaningful separate from that which might power a friendship. To be able to accomplish material things together, especially for a public-image-based industry, where that kind of "to the audience's reception" chemistry is the thing independent of personal chemistry.

(One can certainly speculate on why the other members haven't entered this trio's "MMheads" circle. There's probably simply a gen gap from 15th onwards, with my surprise that Sakurai apparently doesn't talk music with Sakura or Chel, and it's obvious that Eripon and Hagalord are just enjoying the ride, but Chel and Yokoyan also seem like craftsmen with ambitions, and Yoko has been a key part of Dunksume. Maybe it is specifically about that H!P/MM/Tsunku-centric love that these three share, that they can be just total geeks about the lore and how to carry it on. Or it might be that these three are the kind that get invigorated by talking about work/the craft, whereas the others want to not talk about work on their down time.)

One of the biggest takeaways from this, though, is the sheer extent to which Sakura really was honorary 10th gen. There is a meaningful gap between 9th and 10th/11th as well as between 10th/11th and 12th.
