#julie and the phantoms #julie e os fantasmas #jatp #mine #mine:gif #storytime: when i was in middle school i found myself to be obsessed with julie e os fantasmas (jeof)#and by watching it i have learned some words in portoguese which - later in my life - i have always wanted to learn better #besides that - in middle school i used to wear julie's iconic side ponytail !! i was THE biggest jeof fan like EVER #i used to watch it with my little sister and i would pretend i had some ghosts friends as well - popping out of my stereo (lol)#so... flash forward to 2020. i can't recall HOW i found out about jatp... it's just that i have heard of it and i was like hold on...#does this have to do anything with jeof? so i was super intrigued and watched the pilot and YES!! a brand new up-to-date remake #of my favorite tv show as a kid LIKE WOW. and idk i thought it was somehow underground as the og one ... saw NO ONE talking about it online #until up recently when i got back on tumblr (actually 2 years ago) and i saw there was this LIVELY community of people appreaciating this #show AS MUCH as i was appreciating the og as a youngster.#goes without saying that it was so surprising to me and it healed parts of me that i didn't think needed to be healed. wow. just wow.#i have never posted content for these two bad boys #mostly bcs i was salty that jatp was canceled (ugh) until now!! i hope you enjoyyyyy #ALSO i remember as a kid i was watching jeof on tv right? but i had missed some episodes so i remember LMAO going online and there was this #website (like a random person's own website) that was hosting all of the episodes. my very first experience with streaming series online

Then on some random Tuesday, Mutual #2 reblogs something from Mutual #1 and uses Mutual #1's real name in the tags, and you're like *le gasp* so that's the prophetic name... the name of names... the mutual's name...

do yall ever feel like you aren't mentally capable of having a fucking job like this shit is so draining. i feel like im missing the part of my brain that would allow someone to even reluctantly accept that this is their existence. work is THE number one source of stress in my life and then my pre-existing nutjob conditions take that and feed off of it and it's a neverending cycle of existential dread and ripped up bleeding cuticles

sometimes I forget that when I was 7 my house and all of our possessions were destroyed in an accidental house fire that left us homeless for quite a long time. alongside other life changing traumatic events outside of my control that may have had a negative impact on my mental health as a whole. and I feel better because oh yeah there's reasons why I feel insane in the brain half the time. it is, in fact, NOT a punishment from God explicitly for being Not Good Enough. unfortunate Events were even happening after the fire if you could believe it. such is life

#i try not to think about my life earlier than high school for multiple reasons but i truly be repressing that shit #high school was significantly better in many ways and also significantly worse in others.#college was hard but it ruled compared to this #2020 post degree . well imagine covid plus living in florida plus moving back in with your parents plus absolutely no job in your field #for three years #well anyway im doing very good right now and have had a stable job for almost 4 months and a girlfriend as well
