Honestly, it's probably a good thing our Rick wasn't around when Summer and Morty were little because can you IMAGINE the shit he'd get into with them?

He'd 100% take them to alien planets and bars and just chill there. Ricks drunk on alien booze while Toddler!Summer eats the closest thing to chicken nuggets the pub has while Baby!Morty chews on Ricks lab coat.

Ricks hanging out with Squanchy and Bird-Person while fighting the Galactic Federation and just handing his sleeping grandson tona random soldier so he can shoot some opposing soldier. Or having Summer hold onto his spare ammo so he can reload easily.

He's totally the type to use child leashes. Good luck trying to be a flight risk when you can't get further than 9 feet away.

Rick using little Summer as a tester for his weapons. Just handing her the weapon and telling her to shoot the target.

Rubbing alien booze in Morty's gums cause he's teething. He eats the teething biscuits himself.

Mr. Meeseeks deals with diaper changes, Rick doesn't have time for that nonsense.

Morty babbling at him and Rick's just nodding along and responding like they're having a deep conversation.
