I imagine their shoulders and upperback are also discolored. I see Floyd having some ear piercings!! Slightly ripped up uniform from getting into fights, as well as some scars from those incidents as well. Slightly bigger pants and blazer, and I made his teeth bigger too :3

Azul: Made his hair slightly “brighter”, and colored in his lashes!!! Has suuuper pretty eyes, and lashes that could make u jealous sigh. his face also has some slight discoloration and like the tweels his fingers are also discolored, but his are a blue-purple color (A little similar to Luka’s from ALNST but a bit more desaturated??), and I added a few more beauty marks on his face, but I imagine that he has a lot more around his body hehe. Literally, hes the only one I didn’t add any eye highlights for 😭, He tries to hide his hands the best he can, similar to how he hides his teeth lol. Ooh, you mean in the book 7 dreams?? Yeah, we’ve been seeing a lot of new magic schools lately. Qasr Sultanate Academy, Jahir Sahar College, now Ivory Cliff. Technically, Ortho was made a RSA student in Idia’s dream too—and other students like Azul and Vil aren’t at NRC anymore either. How bad is NRC for multiple dreams to go, “Yeah, this place sucks. Let’s plop the students somewhere else so they can actually be happy and productive.”

I don’t really think this is “NRC will be disbanded” foreshadowing because a handful out of the NRC student body of 800ish isn’t going to change much). I feel that it’s more of an indication that some students were brought to NRC due to unhappy circumstances. For example, Jamil was already there as a regular student, but Kalim transferred there soon after—and those two being together is a constant reminder of their roles as master snd servant. Ortho came to NRC with Idia because he counts as a magical item of his (until Ortho fully becomes a student at the end of book 6). Ruggie was only able to learn some things before enrollment because he met Leona, who tutored him. These are all associated with sad experiences: servitude, loss, poverty. Perhaps the dreams think that, by physically isolating people at new schools, they can more easily manipulate the dreamers.

I like that the existence of these schools makes the world seem more realistic since we previously only knew like 3 schools by name (Night Raven College, Royal Sword Academy, Noble Bell College). However, it’s not clear if the first two schools actually exist irl since Kalim cites in his dream that the Scalding Sands didn’t have its own magic school until his dad established Qasr Sultanate 2 years ago. His and Jamil’s new schools could be convenient dream conjurations.
