The Dawnchild

I love him, your honour. I love him so very much. I've posted about him on my main account, gushing over the tragedy and the beauty of this character. From the moment @nickmarini opened his mouth, I was a goner for this sweet summer child. He lives rent free in my mind way more than I could have ever believed. Something about the hope in the face of all tragedy only for that light to move from sensibility to sense is truly heartbreaking and tragic.

I was going for a bit of illuminated manuscript vibes without going all in because spoiler alert, I'm terrible at the style even if I love it. I really didn't feel stained glass was right in the face of the simplicity of the character art by @agarthanguide and the theme of gods donning mortal guises. I very much focused on agriculture for his borders as I think it is center to who he is and what is lost behind the divine gate.

progressing on that art dragon again finally. I had to take a break due to the wings, the pattern of the butterfly gene contorting to this wing pose was so hard i was having such processing issues 😭 solved it a few days ago thankfully!! so now we back at it!
