So this isn’t Austin related but he is talking about Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater. He speaks on how their “sources” are always saying how they are in love . Not sure if you’re aware on what happened with them and how they became to be but Ethan was married and basically cheated on and left his wife/baby mama/high school sweetheart for Ariana.
Back to the sources comment. That youtuber made a statement in the video saying how it’s weird for celebs to send “sources” to tell people that they are so in love and a real deal and such, and how if it were true then they wouldn’t need to tell anyone it will show. Made me think of all these “sources” who be telling us how in love Kaia and Austin are.
I love Sloan, he makes create content. He did one recently on Kris Jenner setting Kylie up in PR relaltionships. Watch that one, it's really informative!
But he's right. If these couples are truly in love, they don't need their "sources" to say so in the press. It will just be obvious. Otherwise, they're overcompensating and trying to control a narrative. Kaia and her team always does the "they are so in love" when that is bull fucking shit, we can clearly see they are not. It should be obvious and not spoon fed to us. That's the first sign this shit is not true.

Here next is Leon Slater vs Francesco Akira. My 1st look at Akira here. Alot of fast paced action began this one. Leon quickly diving over the top rope onto Francesco then back in the ring and more fast, quick action from both. I got a little distracted as I was talking to some one but from what I saw this was good. Leon Slater coming out with his win here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Match 6 is Warren Banks and Lykos Gym vs Dominatus Regmum (Spike Trivet,Bullit and Charlie Sterling). Spike and Lykos Kid 2 start out until Lykos Kid 1 tagged in. Bullit in Warren in. I once again got distracted by talking to Rob Nichols but with i saw i enjoyed throughly. Plenty of hard hitting action throughout from all 6 men. The winners here were Domintus Regmum.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
7th match of the show is Ricky Knight Jr vs Shigehiro Irie for the Atlas title. For the final time today another 1st look and this was for Irie. A very hard hitting match as expected. Fairly short but good, both men taking it to the outside and around the venue. Back in and both deliver more hard shots and big power moves. It was a clothesline from the champion that had him retaining.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And now for the MAIN EVENT! Rhio vs Lana Austin for the Progress women's title. Lana attacked Rhio before the bell sending her into the steel steps, she then grabbed the mic and started to sing whilst staying on the champion. Every time Rhio tried to turn it around Lana was there to cut her off. Rhio hits a suicide dive onto Rob Drake outside the ring which came back to haunt her because he provided a distraction but Charles Crowley and Alexxis Falcon attack Rob sending Skye Smitson and LA Taylor to the back making it 1 on 1. Both women went back and forth and were evenly matched,Lana tried to use the ropes for leverage on a pinfall but got caught. A piledriver from Rhio has her walking out still as champion.
Tumblr media
I give it a rating of good.

All He Has Left | Chad Zunker | Published 2023
Tumblr media
After Jake Slater's wife dies in a tragic hit and run, all he has left is his daughter, Piper - nearly lost, too, in a brutal custody battle with his wealthy in-laws. A year later, Jake reluctantly agrees to a reunion with the estranged family for Piper's 13th birthday. Then a single gunshot rings out, and a new nightmare begins.
Piper is kidnapped, and her cousin Caitlin is murdered. Caitlin's cryptic dying words: Piper knows the truth. Jake is the only witness to the murder - and the only suspect. For an innocent man trapped in a world conspiring to crush him, the only way to clear his name and find Piper is to do it on the run.
Crucified by the media, pursued by the FBI, and hunted by an assasin, Jake can feel his desperation escalating with every tick of the clock. The closer he gets to the truth, the more he risks uncovering family betrayals so sinister they're worth killing for.
Jake is a football coach for a high school team, in Texas, where football is life. His job was set for him by his father and grandfather before him, and typically, he loves it. But, unfortunately, after kicking the star player off the team, they've been experiencing a losing streak.
When he reunites with his wife and daughter at her wealthy parents home, he is blindsided when his father offers him a job in the family financial office, on the behest of of his wife. He declines, and angrily decides to leave, though his wife and daughter, Piper, decide to join him. But while traveling, they are sideswiped by a large truck, in which his wife, Sarah, is instantly killed and Piper experiences several injuries, resulting in the end of her acro-tumbling hobby, for the time being.
A year later, Jake is returning to Austin with Piper, who will be celebrating her 13th birthday with her maternal grandparents. While Jake wishes this meeting wasn't happening, he knows that he needs to allow them to continue their relationship. A few months after Sarah died, his in-laws began a brutal custody battle, stating that it would be wise for Piper to come and live with them. Luckily, Jake was able to retain custody of his daughter, moving her away to a small town outside of Austin to live in his father's house.
However, when he goes to pick up Piper at his niece's house where she ended up after her birthday celebrations ended, Jake is devastated to hear a single gunshot ring out. Upon entering Caitlin's home, he discovers her on the floor with a gunshot wound to the stomach, for which she succumbs to the massive injury. As the only person present in the home, the police immediately suspect him. But Jake is worried about Piper, whom he witnessed being shoved into the back of a large tow truck, and the haunting sound of Caitlin's last words: what happened wasn't an accident, and Piper knows the truth.
Deciding to evade the police and begin searching for Piper on his own, Jake sets off. The FBI is called in, and Special Agent Dani is on the case. Unfortunately for Dani, she has a personal connection to Jake. They dated for some time prior to hear leaving for Washington to begin her career with the FBI, even discussing getting married. However, he knew that his life was in Texas and he decided to end things with Dani, getting engaged to Sarah less than a year later.
Though Dani was upset then, it has been 15 years and she knows that Jake can't possibly be involved in the murder that occurred within his niece's home.
Jake begins working his way through what he knows in order to find Piper. He confronts a man named Judd, the father of the student he had kicked off the team, though he doesn't find Piper there. But, the next morning, Judd is found murdered in his phone, apparently the victim of the hit man that has been suspiciously hired to take out Jake. This hit man is known as the Ghost, able to evade police intervention in order to get to his targets.
While Jake is busy trying to locate Piper, this hit man is trying to locate him. It is quickly apparent that the person behind the hiring of this hitman is Lars Kingston, Jake's father-in-law. Jake is able to discern that the man who took Piper is named Eddie Cowens. He is a part-time tow truck driver, whose vehicle was involved in a car accident at the same time as the accident that took Sarah's life, information he finds out from the man who runs the front office. Jake also learns that Eddie is related to a woman named Beth Spiller, who works at Kingston Financial.
Jake is informed that Steve, his brother-in-law, had been embezzling money from his family's company for quite some time, and Sarah had discovered it. Jake understands now that what happened to her wasn't an accident, and he goes to confront Steve, but finds him also murdered inside of his phone. It turns out that Steve had been having an affair with Beth, with whom he took care of financially. With the prospect of the money getting taken away from her, and therefore her family, including Eddie and her mother, Eddie took it upon himself to take out Sarah to ensure that their financial gains would continue.
When Jake realizes that Lars has taken Piper back into his possession, he goes to his lake house to confront him, and finds Piper safe and sound. Lars pulls a gun on him, and Dani arrives shortly after, gun drawn, having been tailing him for the entire day despite being taken off the case after revealing her personal connection to Jake. Lars is taken into custody.
Three months later, Piper and Jake have returned to Austin, where they now know they belong. The two of them are working through their trauma in therapy, and Jake and Dani have seemingly begun to rekindle their once dormant relationship, with Piper's approval. Lars is awaiting trial, and Beth is also going to be spending some time in jail, though she likely won't be spending a ton of time due to her honestly after losing both her mother and brother to the hit man who had been hired by Lars. Dani also reveals that the Ghost had been caught in New York just that morning, and the nightmare is officially over.

Danny Madigan knows all the first 3 Jack Slater movies in and out. The 4th one is just about to be released too, and with a magical ticket Danny really gets to know that movie in and out too, literally speaking.
During one of the action climaxes Danny is transported into the movie, into a world following other rules than the real one.
Benedict, one of the evil guys, gets hold of the ticket and escapes out to the real world, a world where evil guys can actually win. Danny and Jack follow him back to the real world to get back the ticket and stop Benedict from killing the actor playing Jack.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, F. Murray Abraham, Art Carney, Charles Dance, Frank McRae, Tom Noonan, Robert Prosky, Anthony Quinn, Mercedes Ruehl, Austin O'Brien.

San Francisco Giants-Minnesota Twins Series Preview
5.22.23-Alex Cobb RHP (3-1) 1.94 ERA Vs. Bailey Ober RHP (3-0) 1.78 ERA
5.23.23-TBA Vs. Sonny Gray RHP (4-0) 1.64 ERA
5.24.23-Anthony DeSclafani RHP (3-3) 3.09 ERA Vs. Joe Ryan RHP (6-1) 2.25 ERA
The Giants At A Glance- The Giants just finished off their best homestand of the year by winning five of six games from the Phillies and the Marlins. They head to the Midwest for a road trip to Minneapolis and Milwaukee this week. Casey Schmitt has given the offense a shot in the arm with a .383 average and nine RBI in twelve games. Patrick Bailey is 2-for-6 in three games since his call-up. Thairo Estrada has been the team’s most consistent hitter with a .309 average and seventeen knocked in. Joc Pederson is on the injured list with a hand injury, Austin Slater has been dealing with a hamstring injury and Joey Bart has a going strain that is keeping him out. JD Davis and Michael Conforto have been providing the offense with eight homers each. LaMonte Wade Jr. has taken over first base with eight homers and nineteen RBI. The Giants starting pitching has been very good with a 3.48 ERA, which ranks sixth-best in MLB. The problems lie in the bullpen, which has a 5.37 ERA, which is third-worst in baseball. The back-end of the bullpen is fine as Camilo Doval has a 2.08 ERA with twelve saves. Taylor and Tyler Rogers are finding their form and pitching better. Taylor got off to a bad start, but he’s only allowed a run over his past 10 2/3 innings of work. John Brebbia seemingly pitches every game and has a 4.26 ERA.
The Twins At A Glance- The Twins had a disappointing week in Los Angeles as they lost four of six games to the Dodgers and Angels. Byron Buxton didn’t play on Sunday and left Saturday’s game with a sore leg. Max Kepler ran at seventy percent before Friday’s game as he works his way back. Caleb Thielbar played some light catch and might throw off a mound later this week. Jorge Alcala will be shut down for two more weeks with a radial stress fracture in his right forearm. Jorge Polanco was put on the injured list with a hamstring injury. Kyle Farmer went 9-for-24 on the road trip with a homer and six RBI. Willi Castro hit 9-for-25 with a homer and three knocked in on the road trip. Brock Stewart has given the bullpen a boost without allowing a run over twelve innings of work. Jovani Moran has been solid in higher leverage innings. Griffin Jax has been bit by some bad luck lately. He has allowed eight runs over his past 6 1/3 innings.
What To Watch For- The Giants are (16-14) all-time against the Twins. The Twins swept them by a combined score of 20-5 last August at Target Field. This is just the Giants second trip to Target Field ever. They were going to come here in 2020 then the schedule got shortended and altered. Alex Cobb is (3-3) with a 5.02 ERA in nine starts against the Twins. Sonny Gray is (2-1) with a 3.21 ERA in five starts against the Giants. Anthony DeSclafani has given up nine runs over 9 2/3 career innings against the Twins. Joe Ryan threw six shutout innings last year in his only start against his childhood team. This is a series of reunions for some players. Taylor Rogers returns to Minneapolis for the first time since getting traded before the regular season started last year. Donovan Solano will face the Giants, who he played for three seasons and won a Silver Slugger in 2020. He was coined the nickname Donnie Barrels in his time in San Francisco. It should be a fun series of two teams, who have very good starting pitching.

Last Action Hero (1993)
Tumblr media
Last Action Hero didn't find its audience in 1993 and critics didn’t respond particularly well to it either. Following its perceived failure, director John McTiernan has gone to say the final product wasn’t what he originally envisioned. I say stand by your movie. I’ll be right there next to you. This is great stuff! Ahead of its time, clever, funny and filled with memorable moments, Last Action Hero deserves a second look.
Danny Madigan (Austin O’Brien) loves Jack Slater, a action movie character played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. He’s seen the first three movies and his friend Nick (Robert Prosky), the projectionist at the run-down local movie theater, offers to let him watch the fourth one early. As the first scene begins, Danny is sucked into the screen. While trying to explain to Jack that he’s a fictional character, the movie’s villain, Benedict (Charles Dance) begins to suspect the boy can be useful to him.
It’s a pitch-perfect parody of action films of the time. You see a nameless thug impaled by a runaway ice cream cone - a deadly frozen treat blown into the back of his skull by an abnormally large explosion of dubious origin. Slater smirks “Iced that guy - to cone a phrase”. Wow. If that isn’t simultaneously the best and the worst post-kill one-liner I’ve ever heard, I don’t know what is. The screenplay by Shane Black and David Arnott is full of tongue-in-cheek moments to satisfy fans of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s over-the-top portfolio, and those who recognize why the trend needed a slap in the face. It piles on the jokes and just keeps getting funnier as it gets along. Type casting, the choice of soundtracks, the phony “555” phone numbers, the roles a comedic sidekick plays in an action movie, spin-off characters, movie logic, pretty much every aspect of blockbuster filmmaking gets a turn through the ringer. There are so many jokes there's no way you'll catch them all on a first viewing.
If there’s a deserved criticism for this endlessly quotable, memorable, imaginative and clever movie, it’s the length. It lasts 131 minutes, which would be a long time for a regular movie, never mind one that’s constantly breaking the fourth wall. The picture earns that time thanks to a wild turn maybe 2/3 of the way in but I understand why some audiences might be getting antsy in their seats at that point. The thing is, this Last Action Hero is smart. It’s so smart people at the time didn’t get it and many still don’t. In an alternate universe, Benedict escapes to the real world and Danny and Jack follow him right before the credits begin, setting up a sequel to a smash-hit. In our world, this movie WASN’T successful. Had it not gone on for the length that it is, we would’ve never seen this world explored as thoroughly as it is here. The movie may be wild with the funeral Jack needs to crash, the gimmicky bad guy who swaps out his glass eye depending on his mood, the insane stunts and nonchalant attitude towards massive body counts but you haven't seen anything yet. The film takes a wholly different, grim tone that asks us to consider what differentiates the reality and fiction.
More than anything, Last Action Hero is fun. When else will you see Schwarzenegger in an action-packed rendition of Hamlet, or a police station whose officers include dominatrix models? It’s a criminally underrated film in Schwarzenegger’s filmography. I’ll take it one step further. I think it’s one of his best films. (On DVD, June 14, 2019)

GCW Til Infinity, JCW Battlebowl, GCW 56 Nights Reviews
So I finally had time to finish all of the shows GCW (and JCW) put out this past weekend, and let me just say I was blown away! I suppose the best way to handle this mega review would be to go show by show and match by match- so, here it is:
GCW Til Infinity Review:
East West Express vs. Wasted Youth was a very good and fast paced opener to the show, I wasn't familiar with either team going in but I definitely want to see more of them now. One very memorable moment from the match was the Spanish Fly into the Canadian Destroyer, very awesome indeed.
Kerry Morton vs. Jimmy Lloyd was a match that I didn't really click with, although it was still a good match. I loved how Kerry was booed the entire time for just putting on a technical wrestling match, and how this evolved into him hamming it up across all 3 shows the entire weekend.
Effy vs. Blake Christian was a great match, huge fan of Effy already and Blake's pretty hype too. I really liked Effy's version of the Tarantula, Blake hitting a bottom rope 619 was amazing and skinning the cat into a rollup is a great finish.
Leon Slater vs. Tony Deppen was a great match, very fast paced and pretty evenly matched. I was confused going in as to why Tony was getting cheered, but I think it might be because he is local to the area. Leon's Swanton 450 was perhaps the most athletically impressive thing all weekend.
Nick Gage made another hype as hell entrance, I absolutely loved it and getting Maki Itoh involved was a nice touch. This led into Allie Katch vs. Maki Itoh, which was a hell of a match and nearly match of the night for me. Maki basically did the greatest hits of Nick Gage, and I was all in on it.
American Violence Dealers vs. Los Macizos, seriously where do I begin with this one? It was an absolutely brutal match filled with jaw-dropping sequences, and really my notes say it better than I ever could:
Tumblr media
Shitheads vs Sc*nt was a really fun and quick match, I've mentioned before that I'm a Dark Sheik fan so it was good to see her involved. I was also really impressed by the others, especially Rob Shit who hit an epic press slam dive.
"Speedball" Mike Bailey vs. 2 Cold Scorpio was an interesting match, fairly slow pace but it worked. I really liked how it was back and forth for most of it, almost like a physical game of chess between the two. I still love Bailey's finisher, and when he threatened to stomp a vape pen it made me laugh.
Starboy Charlie vs. Willie Mack was a really good match, I liked the dynamic of big man/little man. Willie did some pretty hard hitting and entertaining offense, and there was a sick shotgun dropkick by Starboy.
John Wayne Murdoch vs. Sawyer Wreck was a short but BRUTAL match, and I absolutely loved it- it's my pick for Match of the Night! Highlights for me included the baseball bat with the spikes(?) being used, and the GODDAMN SUPLEX THROUGH THE GLASS PANE.
Yokai vs. Billie Starkz and Brogan Finlay was a pretty good finish to an excellent show, the match was good and I was particularly impressed by Janai Kai.
-----------------------------------------------------------
JCW BattleBowl Review:
Midas Black & Charlie Tiger vs. Jay Lyon & Ellis Taylor was an interesting and fun opener on this show. It was interesting how two tag teams are split up and made to face each other, I don't know anyone here but I'm intrigued. Jay Lyon's handspring elbow was the highlight of the match, and the surprise rollup was a great finish.
Kerry Morton & Axton Ray vs. Marcus Mathers & Dyln McKay was a good match, I'm happy that Wasted Youth won. I cracked up at Marcus stealing the title at the end.
Gabriel Skye & Austin Luke vs. Griffin McCoy & Alec Price was an awesome match, I didn't know anybody here but they were all very impressive. Luke with the Ambrose rope clothesline was pretty sweet, and McCoy with the modified Boston crab was pretty cool.
Beastman & Sam Stackhouse vs. Yoya & Mago was a hell of a match, I really liked the big vs. little dynamic. Yoya hit one HELL of a Canadian Destroyer in this one, and that was easily moment of the night.
Sawyer Wreck & Azrieal vs. Billy Dixon & CPA was a good match, I especially loved Sawyer just wrecking everyone and CPA's comedy antics.
Jimmy Lloyd & Rob Shit vs. Manders & Bam Sullivan was a good match, there were a couple of really hype lariats here which I enjoyed.
Billie Starkz & Big Vin vs. Brogan Finlay & Janai Kai was an awesome match, MVP of the match was easily Big Vin. He hit a HUUUUUUGE chokeslam, a double side slam, a flipping slam over the ropes... dude's an absolute beast.
The 14 Person Battle Bowl Match was a kickass battle royal, highlights of it were CPA with even more gags and ALEC PRICE ELIMINATING BOTH STACKHOUSE AND BEASTMAN!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
GCW 56 Nights Review:
Cole Radrick vs. Masha Slamovich was a somewhat quick but enjoyable match, I'm glad Masha won. Unfortunately a good chunk of this match didn't air due to technical errors with the stream, but what was shown was excellent.
Nick Wayne vs Leon Slater was a high flying, explosively awesome match. Highlights of the match were Leon diving over the ringpost, the double backflip off the top rope and the TOP ROPE CUTTER, HOLY SHIT.
Joey Janela vs. Blake Christian vs. Tony Deppen vs. Willie Mack vs. Alec Price vs. Jordan Oliver was a good match, lots of cool multi-man moves in it. Highlights included Blake's springboard moonsault and Willie Mack just wrecking everyone with slaps and chops.
Maki Itoh vs. Sawyer Wreck vs. Billie Starkz vs. Dark Sheik was my most anticipated match of the night, I wanted either Sawyer or Sheik to win. Maki Itoh with the full Nick Gage entrance was amazing, and Dark Sheik's spider walk move was pretty cool. Sawyer continued to destroy everyone, including Sheik with a CHOKESLAM THROUGH THE DOOR!!!!
Matt Tremont vs. Mad Man Pondo was a brutal and awesome match, I want to see more from both men now. The weapons were used in creative ways, and of course I should mention this epic moment:
Tumblr media
The Do Or Die Rumble was an epic battle royal, and again here only my notes can do it justice:
Tumblr media
The post match with Blake doing the punt kick with Masha in the chair was absolutely brutal, I hope she gets her revenge soon.

Hello everyone Ricky Goldman here.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Its Progress Wrestling: Establish Your Love live from 02 Ritz in Manchester. I did get myself a beer. £6:70 a pint OMG!!
Tumblr media
1st match is Martina vs Allie Katch. It was meant to be to be Lana Austin vs Allie Katch for the progress women's championship with Martina as the referee but Lana isnt here. This was a good match with both women trading blows and taking it to one another. The top turn buckle came lose as both women looked for the win. The loose turnbuckle lead to Martina taking the L.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next match is Nina Samuels and Lizzy Evo vs Millie McKenzie and Alexxis Falcon. Nice match here with back and forth action between all women. The faces chased the heels around the ring and back in. The crowd was very much into it. Millie McKenzie and Alexxis Falcon are the winners here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next match is Warren Banks vs Lykos kid. My 1st look at Warren here. Good flowing action in this one, lots of high flying. Lykos tried to put Warren away but he just wouldn't give up. A suicide dive from Lykos got him back into the match momentarily. Warren came back in it putting Lykos Kid away for the count.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Onto the next one and we got Dani Luna and Raven Creed vs LA Taylor and Skye Smitson. That's correct NXT UK's Dani Luna. My 1st look at her and Raven Creed here. Also my 1st look at LA in action. The crowd right behind the faces in this one. The heels sure turned up the heat in this one and looked to take the dub here they were in control but here comes Martina,LA chases her and Raven hooks in a sleeper hold on Skye to be victorious.
Tumblr media
Next is CPF (Maverick Mayhew,Callum Newman,Danny Black and Joe Lando) vs The 0121 (Man Like Deriess,Dan Maloney,Leon Slater and Omari) in a Lucha rules match. My 1st look at Omari here. All men looking good here, plenty of high flying action and the crowd be split down the middle for this one. All 4 of CPF with a moonsault from the corner post on to the other team, the suicide dives were on as CPF went crashing into chairs. Now back in the ring and 0121 are back in control. Deriess is on the ho but CPF come into it again. Omari and Deiress with the electric chair but to no avail. The pace quickened as lots of kicks were given out. Its a hockey fight now,2 RKOs get hit but didnt get the job done. 3D from 0121 and the other team interrupt the count. CPF back in and they pull out some cool moves but still no. 0121 get bback in it and score a W.

#POP NSYNC DVD VOLUME MOVIE#
For that I will always be thankful to the makers of Pump up the Volume, and I suspect it'll stay my all-time favorite for years and years to come! Naturally, I rank this one a must-see film, with a 10 out of 10 rating. The film taught me I could use my words to make a difference, and for the past ten years I've been doing just that as a journalist and newspaper editor here in central Israel.

On a personal note, I have to say that I hold credit to this movie for a lot of who I am in my grown-up life. Also look out for a very very young Seth Green (Austin Powers, Without a Paddle) as one of the students that helps spread Harry's tapes across the school. Look out for Samantha Mathis's powerful role as Nora DeNiro, Hunter's female admirer, and one of the only people around him that know he's behind the controversial broadcasts. For grown-ups, it serves an interesting conflict about the bounders of democracy and the part the media plays in each and every one of our lives.
#POP NSYNC DVD VOLUME HOW TO#
For the younger ones, it teaches how to stand up for what you believe in and try to right society's wrongs. But can a voice be heard without its owner taking responsibility to its actions? The notions and ideas which arise upon viewing Pump up the Volume are intriguing and fresh until this very day, 16 years after its initial release. As Mark, he tries to keep a low profile and doesn't blend in with the ongoing events, but as Harry he feels he must take a stand and speak up his thoughts and ideas. When stumbling upon information concerning illegal steps his school has taken regarding problematic students, things start to get out of control. Upon gaining fame and listeners, Hunter adopts a pseudonym, one "Happy Harry Hard On" which brings messages of freedom of speech and thought to his fellow classmates at school. Luckily, his parents buy him a ham radio in order to keep connected with his friends back east, and Mark finds a unique way of passing time by transmitting his thoughts about the suburbs and the lousy life of 1990 teenagers, using his ham radio as a local broadcast device. The days are the early nineties, when internet was probably considered radical science fiction at best, and Mark finds himself all of a sudden pretty lonely in the new school. The story presents us Mark Hunter (a then young and extremely talented Christian Slater), a teenage high school student that moves with his parents from the big city to the suburbs, when his father gets a new job as an educational consultant for a middle-America region. This genuine masterpiece doesn't only teach us about leadership and the ability of one individual to make a difference in the world it is also a triumph of the human spirit in general and of the youth over decadent grown-up ideas specifically. Upon viewing the film for the first time as a ten-years-old kid back when it was released in cinemas, I remember feeling profoundly moved by the main lead and the events his character sets in motion. Media Format : Color, NTSC, DTS Surround Sound, Letterboxed. Pump up the Volume (1990) is perhaps one of the most inspiring films that ever found their way to the celluloid forum. Product Dimensions : 5.3 x 7.5 x 0.62 inches 3.2 Ounces.

PSX Picayune – Mid-Season Awards Edition
Tumblr media
Like crazed raccoons who fell into a barrel of fermented berries, PSX owners have been wheeling and dealing for an exciting stretch run. As we hit the All-Star Break, it’s time for the first-ever PSX Mid-Season Awards!
(By the way, this was written by the Commish, not a CBS Sports bot.)
“We Suck, but Not for Long” Award: October Knights
Nobody tanks better than the back-to-back-to-back defending champs. It’s hard to find a team that’s better prepared for another run of dominance than Rob’s motley crew of massively talented youngsters with affordable contracts. You have been warned.
“Man with a Plan?” Award: Scott’s Tot’s
In their second year in the league, the team with arguably the best name is still defining a winning strategy. Is it built around solid group of prospects? A hodge-podge of guys who outperform their contracts? A couple of core vets having career years? Only Scott Dub knows for sure. (Or maybe he’s just making it up as he goes along. It’s a coin clip, really.)
“Let’s Make a Deal” Award: Scotch & Water
Trader Dan has been working the phones, emails, faxes, landlines and carrier pigeons to offer any player with a pulse to the rest of the league. If history is any indication, S&W could be battling for the Fields Cup again in the near future.
“I’d Give My Right Arm for an Arm” Award: Diamond Bumms
With savvy trades to net some top prospects, the Bumms GM has assembled the building blocks for a future contender. In the meantime, his pitching staff of $2.50 cast-offs would be the worst in the league, if it weren’t for the Knights’ deliberate ineptitude. Mark might be bummin’ in 2022, but maybe he rebounds next year. Or not.
“How Soon Is Now?” Award: Savage Ropes
Every year, the Ropes scour high school and college baseball fields to find uncut gems that will serve as the foundation for a run of championships. The guys with the stop watches and clip boards grabbed another young stud selected in the 2022 MLB Draft this week. Will the strategy pay off in 2023? 2024? When the earth is swallowed by the sun? Time will tell.
“We’re Still In This?” Award: Chin Music
The 2022 season has had an unusual number of teams who still have a chance to finish in the money. Andy saw the opportunity and made a bold move to give up a long-term keeper for players that will serve him well in his dash for cash. What’s that? The Nat’s closer is done for the year? Oh. Bummer.
“No Sleep ‘Til Autumn” Award: Roid Rage
How does he do it? He’s got a young family, business responsibilities, anniversary trips to Vegas and Cardinals games on 24/7. Yet, the Young Stacey consistently finds himself in the top half of the PSX standings almost every year. Don’t be surprised to see this sleep-deprived GM make a couple of additional moves before the end of the year. Unless he nods off into a jar of baby food.
“Inaugural Austin Slater” Award: Vamanos Pest
Regardless of how the Pests finish in the standings, the 2022 Draft Night highlight was the bonkers $5.50 contract the team awarded to Austin Slater. In honor of this mind-blowing buy, The Commish has announced an annual award will acknowledge the most WTF? bid on draft night. (But hey, excellent job with the pitching staff, Craig. Really!)
“Walking Wounded” Award: Kiss My Astros
Has there even been a pitching staff that’s been as snake bit as KMA’s? Elbows. Shoulders. Heart problems. COVID. I’m pretty sure one guy was put on the IL with scurvy. And yet, if the season ended today, Steve would be counting some cash, thanks to … ummm … I don’t know, actually. Let me get back to you on that.
“I Drink Your Milkshake” Award: Ugly Finders
The Uglies ripped a page out of the Savage Ropes playbook on draft night and picked a bunch of post-pubescent prospects. Did it work? One out of four ain’t bad, especially if the one is an 18-year-old who swings a mean stick. Still, if you’re going to try to pull a Daniel Plainview on someone, bring a longer straw, since Scott struck oil with two out of three. (Oh, and Mike’s having a nice year, too.)
“Catch Me If You Can” Award: Vicious and Delicious
Daryl was EXTREMELY thoughtful on Draft Night. How thoughtful? Let’s just say his final picks took roughly the same amount of time as a Mike Hargrove at-bat in the late 70’s. (There was a reason Grover was called the Human Rain Delay. You can look it up.) The strategy might pay off with a third championship for V&D. Unless…
“ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?” Award: Joltin’ Joe’s
Only one team has finished the PSX season with a Perfect 60 across Batting categories: Scotch & Water’s 2015 champs. Next in the record books with 58 Batting points: October Knights’ 2011 champs. How about 57 Batting points? There are your 2011 champs S&W AND your 2018 champs October Knights. Does the trend hold up for 56 Batting points? Yup. That would be October Knights’ first championship in 2004.
What’s my point? I swear to God, if the Jolts’ pitching staff doesn’t turn this damn thing around, I will feed Max Scherzer and Aaron Nola to a pack of meth-addicted zombies.
Enjoy the rest of the season.
