i deleted the betty boop dr. jekyll and mr. hyde reference—even if it is a caricature of mr. hyde, his portrayal definitely raises more than an eyebrow and it was foolish of me to post something so nonchalantly and praise it without thinking of the racist implications behind it. i’m sorry to those who i hurt by posting it. it wasn’t at all my intention, but me saying that doesn’t take away the pain of those who were hurt by it. there’s not much else i can say except that i’m truly sorry and i’m always willing to learn and grow from my mistakes. thank you to those who took the time and patience to educate me, and thank you for still being so patient and understanding. i don’t at all endorse racist content and don’t want to be seen as someone who does. again, i’m sorry to those i hurt in the process. thank you for your patience, understanding, and vocalization about the issue.
