Tiegan Borelli: Hunger Games AU with @minxchester
Born in the Seam, Tiegan is the eldest of Catherine's fraternal twin children, and their lives were a hardship; Catherine's husband, Alessio, ended up dying in the mines when the twins were both two years old, and then, at the age of seven, Dorothea caught a fever that could not be broken, and she passed away. The resulting grief of losing two of her loved ones sent Catherine into a spiral of addiction, using sleep syrup in order to pass her days and nights away in a perpetual coma.
Seeking survival, Tiegan ended up becoming close friends with Katniss Evergreen, and her sister, Primrose, after Dorothea's death, and Katniss' father would take the two children out into the woods beyond the fence to learn how to hunt, and forage for edible plants. When he died when the children were eleven, Tiegan was the only one who continued traveling into the forest to hunt, and eventually, Katniss joined him; Gale Hawthorn ended up joining them a year later, and while Gale and Tiegan did not develop a bond, they were civil enough to one another, and the trio ended up developing a pact to help each other out, especially when the tesserae came into play.
At the age of sixteen, the odds are not in Tiegan's favor, as he is Reaped straight from the bowl for the Hunger Games. His competitor is also a surprise; the sweet only daughter of the resident baker, Petra Mellark, with whom Tiegan traded meat for bread and been friendly with over the years. When the two of them leave District 12, he is already formulating a plan to try and help her win the Games, as he feels that, due to being a loner otherwise, no one but the Evergreens will miss his absence if he dies, not even his sickened mother, who was not present at the Reaping and likely did not even know her last child was being sent to his own death.
The only thing that Tiegan is not prepared for is Petra dropping the bomb during their interviews in the Capitol that she is in love with him, and had been for years. Things get complicated after that.

Current Fic Ideas:
Here's my current fic ideas--all of these are up for grabs to whoever wins my @marveltrumpshate auction. (Gonna do these in a few reblogs)
Fic Idea:
Steve and tony are outted by the press 6 months into a healthy happy relationship and it takes less than 2 months for them to fall apart due to the pressure and scrutiny. How they find their way back and manage leading the Avengers is a bit messier and takes longer.
Fic Idea:
Bucky has a one night stand before he goes to war. He goes missing in action and months later, Steve is sent his personal belongings. Including letters from an omega he's never heard of, named Tony, sending pictures of a pretty baby. Bucky's baby.
Steve finds Tony--if for no other reason, than to tell him about Bucky and to meet what amounts to his nephew. But he realizes how broke Tony is, alone and disowned and trying to finish school. Maybe Tony didnt mean much to Bucky--no one ever did--but he smells like home and safety, like everything Steve didn't know he wanted. And Peter fits, in his arms, a way nothing ever has. It's easy, to welcome them into his home, to help them. It's even easier to fall in love.
And then--Bucky comes home, and finds the pretty omega he barely remembers in his brother's clothes and home, and holding a baby.
Fic Idea:
Howard finds Steve in the early seventies. He marries Peggy but she's killed and he's left lost and angry and without any real purpose. Until Howard calls and asks for a favor. His son has been getting in trouble and could use a bodyguard.
Fic Idea:
After Endgame, Steve and Tony are together and life is good but there's the small matter of the cults that have sprung up worshiping them. Because Steve wielded the power of a god and Tony wielded the Gauntlet. And people are trying to process that so cults.
Fic Idea:
Today I'm thinking about that fic I started, in which Tony is an Omega in need of an Alpha chaperone at MIT and Rhodey takes the job. And then, when Howard & Maria die, Bonds with Tony so he can inherit SI and not be forced to Bond with Obie.
So for twenty odd years, it's very common knowledge that Tony Stark is Bonded to his college 'sweetheart' Rhodey, and then--Steve shows up and Tony falls head over heels for him and that's 100% mutual but TONY HAS AN ALPHA OH NOS!
And Tony can't figure out why Steve who is OBVIOUSLY into him won't make a move, even when he's in heat and throwing himself at Steve, until Steve explains, a little confused and a lot conflicted, that he's not gonna steal another Alpha's omega, and James deserves better.
And that's when Tony calls Rhodey from the other room and says, hey baby, do you mind if I break our Bond to get with Steve and he's like, FUCKING FINALLY, DUDE! And Steve finds out that it was only ever a platonic Bond because Rhodey would literally do anything for his bestie.
Fic Idea:
The PR agent responsible for Steve getting a Twitter is also responsible for every time he gets fighty online, which happens every time Tony is insulted. Tony is DELIGHTED he isn't PR's problem child anymore.
Fic Idea:
Tony watches WWII unfolding and knows that something is necessary to help win, so he sends a piece of himself to earth--the Tesseract. And when that's not enough, he falls, giving up his place with the stars, to help humanity.
And then he meets Steve, and uses his fading power--he's dying but he's not going to tell any of them that--to power Project Rebirth. I think probably too he's part of why Steve survives the ice, but I need to work on that.
Fic Idea:
Dragon rider SteveTony AU.
They're from different clans. But they're forced together because of blah blah reasons (oh maybe the dragons are mating?) And Tony loathes Steve who is a big damn hero his father won't shut up about. And maybe he's projecting a little--
He wasn't supposed to Bond with a dragon, he isn't supposed to even be here--but he's never going to live up to Cap's expectations, not the guy who rewrote the rules on dragon bonds and single handily turned the course of the war.
Steve meanwhile cant get a single word out because gosh Tony is pretty and smart and when he rides his dragon--🤯
Their dragons would Very Much Appreciate if the idiot humans would get their shit together.
Fic Idea:
Steve never had a soulmate. Never had a mark. But one night in late may, he wakes up to a burning on his arm and his name in almost illegible scrawl. Howard calls and tells him about the birth of his son the next day.
He goes to see the baby a week later and holds Tony and he can see it, his words too large on Tony's little chest, but he murmurs them anyway. It's terrifying and everything he wanted and Tony is a BABY so he puts the kid down and swears to himself to keep his distance.
But he has a half formed bond with Tony and he doesn't always stay away and then when Tony is two--he's brilliant but talks late--he says 'steeb' at a Christmas party. It's his first word and it completes the bond. Tony grows up with it. He never realizes that they're soulmates.
Because he was so tiny when they bonded and it's all he's ever known and Steve is convinced he can't be with Tony and Tony--wants nothing to do with the nameless faceless person responsible for his words, he just wants Steve.
Fic Idea:
Steve is a successful happy security contractor. He's kinda slutty but that's ok, he's not hurting anyone and he's always honest. And then one day he gets an email that he's pretty sure isnt for him but intrigues him anyway.
Tony is miserable. His company is on the verge of collapse, he hasn't talked to his best friends in years, and his husband is a distant asshole--and those are the good days. He emails a private investigator and somehow ends up contacting a security contractor instead.
isn't a working number, hell it doesn't even have enough numbers--they keep talking. And Steve maybe stops sleeping around because Tony, Tony is fascinating. Tony smiles more, even if sneaking around is dangerous.
And there are things that are…off. little bits of conversation that is just a little bit wrong. Not enough to concern them. Eventually they decide to meet, Tony's husband be damned. But when they go to the coffee shop they agree on--there's no one waiting.
And through the argument and hurt, they finally peace it together. They're in parallel universes.
More THOUGHTS: ok but when they realize this it spooks them both and they kinda retreat from each other. But. They both look, in their worlds. Tony find a Steve Rogers but he died as a little boy. He didn't have a best friend to protect and help him. Steve find Tony too.
He was killed by a buisness rival a few weeks after his father's death. Vanko is still in prison for it, but--Tony is still dead. It terrifies him, losing that Tony without ever knowing him, and it drives him back to his Tony, desperate to know he's safe.
It's heartbreaking because they're so close to each other, but they're universes apart, too, and Tony can't tolerate that. Won't. He's a genius, even if Ty's abuse broke him and made him small, and he's willing to try, if it means making his way to Steve.

Since no one's sending me prompts I guess I'll do it myself. lol
Endless- Maul, Old Guard AU
Maul is killed on Naboo and wakes up whole and alive. Most of the prequels stuff stays the same, but Maul is, for a while, convinced he's some kind of god. When he meets up with Savage he's convinced his brother is just like him, so when Savage dies and stays dead, it shatters something in him he didn't know he had. He's also captured by Palpatine and tortured/experimented upon because immortality is absolutely something that withered bastard wants.
Maul still isn't able to defeat Palps, which is another big mark against the "I'm a god" theory, but he does finally escape and goes off to lick his wounds and try to recover.
The Jedi are still wiped out, but while at first this seems like a good thing to him, there is an emptiness to existence that wasn't there before. Palpatine being in charge of the galaxy galls, and worse, he's doing a bad job of it, in Maul's opinion. It doesn't help that when Empire troopers see him they assume he's a Jedi and try to kill him. Sometimes succeeding.
One of the reasons Maul never got a chance at bettering himself is because he was too consumed with his own grievances to see past the end of his nose, but now he has an eternity to learn and eventually... he does.
Sure, part of it is still fueled by his anger at the universe, but over time he finds he likes helping others. It's strange and off-putting to encounter people who are kind to him and who don't fear him. Once upon a time he'd have been insulted, but now it's... nice. Ish.
He still backslides a lot because, well, he's Maul, but also backsliding is part of moving forward. He helps the Rebellion here and there because anyone who wants to destroy Palpatine is welcome, as far as he's concerned. If he meets the twins, he definitely favors Leia over Luke.
By the time the Sequels happen, Maul has been on the "good" end of the spectrum for a while. Maybe the lower end of it, but still good. He's absolutely not putting up with this First Order bullshit.
Lots of stuff is still the same, but I'll say Maul was fucking around on the Deth Star X-treme! so the attempt to wipe out Hosnia system partially failed. Still lots of death and destruction, but enough of the central government survives that they're forced to realize they may have made a mistake with all their waffling. Maybe.
Maul kills Snoke and is killed in return. While some underlings drag the bodies off to the incinerators, Kylo and Hux are in a standoff over who's in charge.
Maul wakes up and knocks out the troopers carrying him and Snoke, then stashes them in a room without any means of communication. See? He can learn not to kill everyone. Plus, if Fin could rebel maybe these guys will, too. Snoke burns, and Maul heads off to the reactor thingy in time to see Han talking to Kylo.
It's very important for me to note here that there is absolutely no way to excuse Kylo's choice to kill his father: with Snoke dead it is absolutely his own choice to put a saber through Han's chest. Except thanks to some timely intervention from Maul, Han is only grievously wounded instead because fuck you, Harrison Ford.
Maul taunts Kylo, saying that he's met Anakin Skywalker and can confirm that Kylo is just like him: a sniveling, spoiled brat with more hair than sense. He also says Kylo doesn't deserve the name Ben because Obi-Wan, at least, was a worthy opponent.
They fight, giving our plucky heroes time to drag Han to the safety of the ship. Kylo is all you don't understaaand, but Maul is very been there, done that, don't even have the scars to prove it.
Is there a chance Kylo could someday learn to be a better person? Maybe, but it took Maul seventy-odd years and a lot of deaths to unstubborn himself and he really isn't in the mood to take that chance.
Now. At this point it could go one of two ways: the fast solution is Maul kills Kylo and then it's just a matter of wiping out Hux and Phasma and getting Fin to help "deprogram" the troopers and dismantle the Order. OR Kylo could kill Maul and go off to have the big fight in the snow with Rey and Fin while Maul, who isn't recovering as fast as he used to, struggles to get back to the ship and trusts his apprentice(s) to handle it.
With the former the Resistance is going to realize that a First Order without Darksiders mucking things up is actually a lot more dangerous and harder to kill, though it still gets done in the end.
With the latter, the drama lasts longer and it'll be Rey who winds up killing Kylo only to get killed, herself. ...And wake up.
Either way, the trip to Luke's Sooper Seekrit Hideout includes Maul. Because I can play god with this, I'll say that Luke isn't sulking out his entire life on Ahch-To, but rather went there for Important Reasons and got stuck. He and Maul can be bickering co-Masters to Rey's training (and eventually Fin's). Maul teaches her how to create mental shields so Kylo can't intrude on her thoughts (if he's still alive).
The baddies are eventually defeated. Maul & Rey have a lot to talk about re: near-immortality. Han, Leia, Luke, and Chewie are reunited and happy to retire for good, maybe with Lando. Fin & Poe are tasked with trying to return the dozens of children saved from First Order training camps, but it's likely they're going to be raising a lot of them themselves.
Maul is finally comfortable and satisfied with the person he's become. He may not be able to change the past, but he can help shape the future. And he can try to prepare Rey for whatever may be coming next.
(Maul isn't the only immortal, just the only one relevant to this particular story)

this isnt cr so ignore this if u wish but. rewrite au where willowbreeze lived instead of greypool? 👀
HMMM
okay so I'm playing in your @fatal-rewrites-warriors sandbox so feel free to kick my shins if you don't like this.
OK so basic premise would be that Greypool dies to whatever illness killed Willowbreeze and her litter - so Willow survives but her sister and kittens are dead.
First thing's first I think Willowbreeze still being around would push Riverclan to be a lot more aggressive to the other clans than in canon. Given our Willowbreeze was a bit of a shit and always trying to prove herself to be So Extra Riverclan as a result of being publicly half-clan. The River/Thunder battle that Tigerclaw uses to kill Oak and Red might happen earlier with her warmongering.
You list Willowbreeze dying ~2 years before ITW. Mist and Stone are 3-ish years old. So Greypool likely still adopted them, only to die when they were 'paws or fresh Warriors. I can see Oakheart becoming more obvious a parent to them to compensate for her loss, which might have clued another cat or two in on The Secret. If Willowbreeze finds out, Crooked will be in for hell - not because she'd take it out on him, she would be so thankful he helped keep the heritage a secret. But she would immediately hate Oakheart with her whole heart, and Crooked would be torn between his brother, his Deputy, and his mate. If she does find out, though, she would absolutely dote on Mist and Stone, maybe to an uncomfortable degree - or try too hard to treat them like normal Warriors, which would also be odd.
I can see Willowbreeze also latching onto Silverstream as a surrogate daughter along with Crooked - they're a power couple that do everything together so she's 100% going to project her lost litter onto her a bit, and maybe Lep too. In canon Lep's main authority figures she seems to look to are Crooked and White, so having a molly (and one with such a painful past no less) to give her advice would be swell. I could see Willow taking a shine to both of the girls and pulling Crooked's ear about favoring Lep as a Deputy candidate - though if Sunfish is feeling bold she might call out the favoritism and thus force Crooked's hand to be a little more impartial.
Given Willowbreeze does not have dementia, she would likely still be an active Warrior for the events of the first three books - and one with significant political clout, too. She wouldn't have wandered off before a storm - though I could see Crooked instead dying trying to help Silverstream and her litter, if he has more time to search as a result. Willow would be absolutely devastated, but also, as mate of the last 'star, her backing Lep would make things very smooth for the new Leader.
I don't think Willowbreeze would figure out Silverstream was seeing someone from another Clan. She's the result of such an affair - she never actually directly saw one. She does not know what signs to look for. She would have been completely blindsided by the news, and felt incredibly betrayed by Silver's affair.
Here's where shit would get testy: Willowbreeze would fucking shred Greystripe. She's a senior Warrior, her mate just died, her *pregnant* surrogate daughter just died - as far as she's concerned she's allowed to act out a bit. Her kithood was extremely traumatic as a result of being publicly known to be half-clan, shuttled back and forth between River and Wind, and always having to prove herself twice as much to make up for it. She's just been slapped in the face with the fact that all the stories she told Silverstream, of how awful it was, were ignored and minimized, and that hurts. More than that, she sees two grandkits who will experience the same thing she did. Her biggest fear is to see them used as political props, so seeing Greystripe appear in camp reminds her of her father taking her to Windclan. So yeah, maybe she mauls Greystripe, and Leopardstar's first big political challenge as a leader is figuring out what the fuck to do with one of the Clan's most respected attacking someone who just wants to help, and not accidentally encourage more such behavior.

violent ends (chapter 2)
(chapter 2)
series masterlist
genre: hunger games!au
pairing: huang renjun x oc, na jaemin x oc
warnings: language, violent deaths, fighting, angst, fluff, + possible nsfw.
A/N: please keep in mind that events/ideas from the original hunger games franchise have been purposefully altered! thanks.
previous | next
"In the event of the uprising, each of the twelve districts must offer one boy and one girl tribute to participate in the Hunger Games, and must strictly be the ages of 12 through 18. The contestants will be put into an outdoor arena where they must survive all types of danger and fight to the death, or leave it up to nature. The last tribute standing wins. It is both a time for repentance and a time for thanks." explained the Mayor of my district. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he uses the same speech every year. Even after my seven years of attending reapings, the anticipation for them to actually announce the names never gets easier.
I know I'm not the only one. The girls standing around me either look like they're seconds away from throwing up their last meal or simply about to explode from excitement.
"In the past seventy-three Hunger Games, we have had numerous victors representing the great district two. The victor representing district two, who will now mentor the tributes is here today." The mayor teasingly paused, "He needs no introduction, please give a warm welcome for Lee Taeyong!"
I felt my body go cold, almost as if I were seeing a ghost. There he was, my older brother, standing on the stage. He was adorned in expensive clothes from the Capitol. Standing tall, his striking features could easily be intimidating. However, his expression was relaxed and pleased; taking in the love and admiration from the crowd. Just by looking at him, anyone could tell he was made for this.
They loved him.
"Now, please welcome to the podium, the Capitol representative for our district, Kim Doyoung." The Mayor stepped off to stand beside Taeyong. In his place, stood a man with royal blue hair and an outrageously yellow suit. He smiled brightly, despite receiving piercing silence from the crowd.
He spoke cheerfully in the microphone, "Happy Hunger Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor! Due to an overwhelming amount of volunteers in the past games, your leaders have collectively decided to choose their tributes, according to who best represents the district as a whole."
He grabs a card from the pockets of his suit. Leaning into the microphone, he explains, "Here, I have the names of your male and female tributes." He pauses, carefully glancing over the text in his hands.
"Huang Renjun and Lee Athena."
I let out the air held captive in my lungs. The heads in front of me have turned around to observe. Unable to hide amongst the crowd any longer, Taeyong was staring at me. I struggled trying to read his expression, which was blank. I felt my chest sink to the floor, heavily. Shouldn't he be excited for me?
Suddenly, I felt a sharp tug on my arm.
"You might want to start moving. Seriously, you're looking pretty stupid right now. "
I turn to my left to see Renjun frowning at me, who has stepped out of the boy's side and into the middle aisle. Coming to my senses, I follow him as the Peacekeepers escort us to the stage.
"Here we are! Our tributes from district two." Doyoung announces in between Renjun and I.
I hear a deep, familiar voice from behind me muttering a quiet, "Smile."
Automatically, I change my shocked expression to a brighter one. Meanwhile, I scan the cheering crowd's faces; taking in the mixed looks of joy, pity, and even jealousy.
"Well, aren't you two going to shake hands?" inquired Doyoung, stepping backwards.
Turning to look at Renjun, I see the look of hesitation in his face. Internally grimacing, I offer my trembling hand. He softly sighs before giving a bone-crushing handshake.
"Happy Hunger Games and may the odds be ever in your favor." speaks a gleaming Doyoung to the crowd. I feel Taeyong place his hand on my back, pushing me towards a set of doors. Once opened by the Peacekeepers, Doyoung, Taeyong, Renjun, and I enter the Justice Building. A Peacekeeper instructs me to wait in a room and closes the door behind me.
It’s relieving and oddly comforting to finally be alone. My chest no longer feels the heavy fluttering it did before. However, I can’t decide if I’m still shaking from the adrenaline or perhaps nerves. By the time the door reopens, I have gathered my thoughts. My mother and father appear in front of me. My father has a stoic and firm expression on his face, while my mother is energetically clinging to his arm.
“You have three minutes.” announces the Peacekeeper, before closing the door. My mom engulfs me in an gigantic hug. I awkwardly freeze, not really accustomed to displays of affection. However, she pays to mind to this and cheerily states, “I’m so excited for you. I know you are going to do great!”
My father grabs my shoulders and sternly councils me, “Listen to everything Taeyong tells you. Be smart and remember everything you’ve learned until this point. Don’t let your guard down, no matter how much you think you can trust someone. At the end of the day, you can only trust your own judgement.”
I nodded, my heart glowing with pride. I finally achieved the reward I’ve been working for this whole time. Getting to see the surprise in their eyes, knowing they never saw my masked potential. How did the black sheep of our family manage to pull off this?
“Time.” announces the Peacekeeper. My mom pulls me in for another hug. After she releases me, my father shockingly gives me a subtle nod before leaving with my mother.
After a short and silent car ride, accompanied by Doyoung and Renjun. We were ushered into a train, avoiding a swarm of eager reporters. At the main cart, Doyoung is sitting across from Renjun and I. The small table contains various foods and deserts intended for our pleasure.
Doyoung attempts to break the awkward silence, “We’re currently going 200 miles and you barely even feel a thing. I think that’s just one of the good things about this opport-“
“Where is Taeyong?” I interrupted, not really listening.
Doyoung let’s out a puff of air before standing up, “I think he’s in one of the other carts. I’ll go find him.” Once he leaves, Renjun harshly states, “Thank God, that man talks too much.”
I let out a hum of agreement, taking a sip from my teacup.
He starts, “I must say, you really surprised me. With your low scores, I really thought there was no way you’d be picked. Then, I told myself, the only reason is because of that brother of hers.”
I grabbed a knife from the table and shoved him down onto the couch. My legs were wrapped around his waist, hands pressing the knife into his throat. His eyes were wide, while his lips were slightly parted in shock.
“You really can’t go five seconds without talking the same old shit, huh? Didn’t even see this coming, you dumb little fuck.” I taunt him.
“You look pretty good on top of me like this.” He says, lips curling up into an evil smile. Before I could respond, I hear the sound of voices and look up. Renjun takes this opportunity to shove me off him, onto the floor. I quickly push myself up onto my hands and knees. Then, Doyoung and Taeyong came barging in through the door.
“Is everything okay? I heard some noises!” asked a frantic Doyoung.
Renjun answers innocently with, “We’re fine. She just dropped her knife on the floor.” I returned the knife to the table and went to my spot on the couch. As Taeyong and Doyoung sit down on the other side of the table, I subtly send an evil glare towards Renjun.
Taeyong glances over the two of us, “You two know almost everything there is about weapons and survival. There really is nothing I can teach you that you don’t already know. However, one of the things the two of you are going to have to focus on is making people love you. Keep in mind, you are going to be on a reality television show. People will watch and provide whatever you need, as long as you are of interest to them. If you want to get technical, the more you boost the ratings, the higher the probability is that you are to be kept around. You do this by playing a character. Rather it be a villain or a hero, it’s your choice. For example, you could be the pure and innocent type or an object of desire for the opposite sex. I hope you really take your time to decide what fits you best.”
“Taeyong, have you heard anything about the other tributes? Anything we should concern ourselves with?” I curiously asked.
He nodded his head, “District 1 has Lee Jeno and Lee Donghyuck. Both also trained since they were kids. Top of their schools in everything. Also, District 4 has Na Jaemin. Like his mentor, Finnick Odair, he specializes in spearing. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up playing the same womanizer-character as him as well. Be careful, any of them could really be either the greatest threat to your game or the reason you end up winning the whole thing.”
