- Jongho as a prince is very composed and prepared

- though it got increasingly harder for him to hide his love for you

- one day when you were scolded by your superior for being late he showed up

“What seems to be the problem?”

“Oh your highness! Y/N is slacking, that is the forth time she was late this morning”

“That doesn’t seem like a big problem to me, so go back to your work”

- After solving that problem for you he took your hand in his and lead you out of the castle

“Why did you help me, your highness?”

- the look on his face softened and he smiled a little, he looked precious and different

“I think I’m falling in love with you Y/N”

“But I’m just a servant”

“You are also you and that is enough”

- the sun was setting over the land when he kissed you sweetly, holding your hands the whole time

 Wooyoung

- prince Wooyoung was a bit of a rebel and you knew it, that’s why you tried to stay away from him

- for some reason Wooyoung always found his way back to you

- you were feeding the horses when he spotted you, you looked so innocent

- he came up to you

“Y/N, let me help you”

“Oh no, your highness, really you don’t need to do that”

- but he insisted

- he got physically close to you while working and you couldn’t help but stare at him

- after a while he noticed and turned to you

- before you could say anything he smashed his lips into yours and let his hands roam over your body

- it was forbidden but you loved every second of it

Mingi

- prince Mingi never really showed his feelings, he learned from a young age that it could get him in trouble, so he hid his feelings for you at first

- one day he was walking through the castle and heard you singing, you were taking a bath in the basement, where you thought no one could hear you, you were obviously wrong

- Mingi followed the beautiful melody you were singing until he saw you

- at first he was ashamed that he saw you completely naked, but you looked so beautiful that he didn’t care anymore, so he approached you

“Y/N?”

- you let out a small scream “Your highness! You shouldn’t see me like this, what are you thinking”

“I’m thinking that you are the most beautiful person that I have ever laid my eyes upon… I love you Y/N”

“Wha- No! It’s wrong, we are from different worlds, your high-”

- he shut you up with the most magical kiss

 San

- prince San was in his study room, you entered because the king instructed you to prepare him for his meeting with his future spouse

- “Your highness?”

- when he saw you, his whole face lit up

“I was instructed to tell you about your future spouse, whom you will be meeting later today”

“Hm, how about no? I have no interest in them, I am more interested in you Y/N”

“Why me?”

“Because I love you Y/N”

“Your highness, it would be wrong, this cannot happen”

- he closed the distance between you two and put his arms around your waist

“I see the way you look at me, don’t tell me you don’t have feelings for me”

- you were speechless

- so San simply kissed your worries away

- prince Yeosang and you had already bonded when he found out you enjoyed drawing

- you often met up just to sit in a field and draw what you could see around you

- on one of these forbidden meet-ups you noticed he couldn’t take his eyes off you

“Your highness, do I have something on my face? I cannot help but notice you looking at me”

“It’s because I am falling deeply in love with you Y/N”

“Excuse me?”

- he himself seemed to be a little shocked at his confession

“We have a lot in common and you are the most beautiful person in this world, how can I not fall in love with you?”

“Your highness I am only a servant, we cannot pursue this”

- he slowly took your hand in his and kissed it

- after he saw the enchanted look on your face he put his hands on your cheeks and kissed you sweetly

 Yunho

- one evening you found a note in your apron: “meet me in the garden at midnight”

- you didn’t know who it was from though, you didn’t even realize when that person put the note in your apron

- nonetheless you went to the garden at midnight, you were curious

- however you didn’t expect prince Yunho to show up

“What are you doing here, your highness?”

“I came to tell you that I love you, I can’t stop thinking about you Y/N”

“But it is wrong your highness, I’m merely a servant”

“I don’t care”

- He closed the distance between you two and kissed you passionately with his arms wrapped around your waist

 Hongjoong

- prince Hongjoong had a reputation for being straightforward, which a lot of people in the royal family didn’t appreciate

- one day the king and his family, including Hongjoong, were eating dinner in one of the big dining halls, you helped serve the meal

- of course you noticed how he looked at you, it was like he was hungry, but not for food

- when you were putting his plate in front of him he grabbed your wrist

“Y/N? I think I love you, would you care to join me on a walk after dinner?”

- all conversation at the table died down, especially Hongjoongs mother, the queen looked at her son in disbelief

“Hongjoong! That is inappropriate! You are the prince, you cannot love a servant!”

“I don’t care mother”

- he got up from the table and kissed you in front of everyone

 Seonghwa

- prince Seonghwa would try to hide it at first because he knows it’s wrong

- that makes his feelings even stronger

- he would snap one day when you were cleaning the halls

“Y/N, I cannot hide what I’m feeling anymore, I’m falling in love with you”

“What? Your highness that cannot be”

- You were too shy to look at him so he pinned you against the cold wall

- it felt like he looked straight into your soul

- he couldn’t hold back anymore so he put his lips on yours in a kiss that was so intense you forgot to breathe for a few moments

Part four: short and sweet, well maybe not.

Pairing: prince!Yunho x nonroyal!reader (fem)

Summary: Someone catches the eye of the future king and it isn’t his future queen. [Fluff but some angst because it mentions death as something more desirable than something] Part 1 here

“Then tell me what I should do, because the logical part of me is screaming at myself to turn around and run, to put as much distance between us as possible.” He whispered. “But I can’t.” He looked drained, like he could fall to his knees at any moment. “In fact, the only thing I’ve been wanting to do is kiss you.” 

You let out a sharp breath you didn’t even realize you were holding. 

“So, what should I do?”  

“I-I don’t know.” You say honestly. “I’ve come to terms with my feelings for you although I have yet to figure out what to do about them.” 

“You feel for me?” Yunho breathed, stepping closer to you. You stepped back, his eyes were so concerned, you don’t know what it was but it clicked, and you knew what you had to do. 

“Don’t you see? That doesn’t matter.” You felt tears start to form, as if your body is telling you to stop, telling you not to destroy whatever you have with the only man you’ve ever loved. “Neither of our feelings matter, you’re a royal, next in line for the throne no less. You need a queen, not a- well me.” 

“So what then? You’ll just marry Seonghwa? You don’t love him-”

“I could.” You say with a small smile. “He’s a good man, and very handsome.” You continued to talk as if tears weren’t rolling down your cheeks. 

“What happened to choosing no life than a life of meaningless ties?” He asked, referring to that day by the lake, the one when he first fell for you. 

“I was dreaming, and so are you if you think you can chose me over Jihyo- over the throne.” Your voice cracked as you choked out the words. 

“Y/N-” He tried stepping towards you again, but you put your hand up, backing away once more. 

“Don’t. Please.” You whispered, shaking your head. As he turned around, a single tear fell from his eye, and as he left, tears spilled from yours, you crouched to the ground, hugging your knees in hope of finding some form of comfort. Heels clicked in the hallway beside you, getting louder and louder until the owner of the shoes was beside you. You didn’t have enough energy to look up, even though you didn’t need to. 

“You did the right thing.” She said coldly, “this is the best thing for everyone.” Yunho’s mother turned and walked the same way she came.

Yunho was different after that, he isolated himself, he pulled away from people. When someone tried to have a conversation with him, he either waved them off or gave them short responses that were barely words. During meals he would stare at his food silently, often letting it go untouched. The servants talked about how he stopped strolling down to the nearby village, instead locking himself inside his room. Jihyo was worried for her friend, and Mingi his brother, when the other boys left, Yunho stayed in his room, not even seeing them off. They promised to come back soon, leaving reluctantly with their own kingdoms to run. 

“You must have done a number on him.” Seonghwa chuckled. You shoved his arm playfully but with nothing to say. You continued to walk along the path, Seonghwa looked up and sighed at the gloomy sky. “Even the sky seems sadder these days.” He muttered. You looked up, feeling droplets fall onto your face, and as fast as your tears came, so did the rain. Seonghwa grabbed your wrist and tried to drag you to the castle but you stayed with your feet planted firmly on the ground. The rain fell harder around you, creating a dull ringing in your ears. “What are you doing? You’ll get sick!” Seonghwa called over the sound of the sky screaming. 

“So what?” You yelled back. “I deserve it! I deserve the plague after what I’ve done, God knows even that would hurt less!” You sobbed. Seonghwa pulled you into his arms and you melted into his touch, no longer having the energy or drive to stand. Gently he lifted you into his arms. 

The storm flooded the main road, making it impossible for the band of handsome young princes to leave, Wooyoung only shrugged before jumping back onto Mingi’s bed. 

“San, I believe Yeosang is in the library, will you let him know that you guys will be staying a little longer.” Yunho’s mother asked gently. 

“Somebody should let Seonghwa know as well.” Hongjoong said looking around for his tall friend. 

“Where is Seonghwa anyways?” Jongho asked, looking around the room as well. 

“I believe Mr. Park is a little tied up right now.” Yunho’s mother said, everyone looked at her questioningly. “I ran into him in the main corridor, it seems Miss Y/N got caught in the rain, Seonghwa was taking her to the infirmary.” 

“Y/N is in the infirmary? Is she okay?!” Jihyo yelled. Yunho’s mother sighed, turning to face her. 

“I don’t know but you will be sure not to tell Yun-” She stopped when she noticed Mingi missing from Jihyo’s side. Suddenly, the sound of a door slamming open echoed through the hall, then footsteps approaching urgently. If you blinked you would have missed Yunho sprinting by the open door.

- Prince Seonghwa had been the ideal son the King and Queen have always wanted since he was born

- He never had a temper, was obedient, a fast learner and he always made sure to be polite to everyone he sees

- As he got older, he grew more attractive and more accomplished; by the age of 18, he was fluent in 4 languages and had enough skills in politics and economics to be King already

- There was only one problem, however.

- As it was by law that the nation needed both a King and a Queen to rule, Seonghwa is required to have a partner by his side as he takes over the monarchy

- But for some reason, he could never find a suitable match for him. Not in dinner parties, not in political summits, not anywhere

- He would always seem closed off to other royalty, albeit still polite

- It seemed as if he doesn’t have an interest in them

- Seonghwa’s parents always encouraged him to find a wife soon because he is coming of age and his father,”is getting very tired of being King” 

- With that perfect smile of his, Seonghwa reassures his parents that he will find someone soon, and he’ll know when he sees them.

- But the truth is, Seonghwa really couldn’t care less about finding a wife, as he believed that he has the ability rule alone...or did he?

- One day, he and his family were invited to come to the neighbouring kingdom’s annual ball. Seonghwa’s father had been in good relations with their King, and it would be lying if it was said that they hadn’t hoped to unite their kingdoms..

- Because their King has a daughter who had just returned studying abroad

- So the ball was partly arranged as homecoming for the princess, which would explain the slightly more feminine touches on the decorations

- When Seonghwa entered the ballroom with his parents, they were immediately greeted by their King and Queen. Shaking hands and making small talk, Seonghwa did his best to remain diplomatic, whilst knowing the true reason why they were invited to the ball

- His father then asked where the princess was, and the King told them that she was nowhere to be found but never fear, for it was assured that she would turn up soon. 

- Seonghwa furrowed his eyebrows in doubt, Is she trying to run away? He thought, finding it a little intriguing in her approach to the situation

- He excused himself from the fray to grab a drink and have a little moment to himself at the balcony.

- As he placed the drink on a nearby surface, he put his hands inside his pocket and sighed at the moonlit sky. 

- He closed his eyes to rearrange his thoughts that found scattered all over the place. How is he supposed to support his nation if he can’t find the strength to want a wife to rule with him?

- He sighed again. All of a sudden, he heard rustling in the trees. Startled, he looked around, cautious and alert.

- Then, he hears a voice. Female, but definitely not feminine,” My Lord, you scare so easily”

- He turned around to find the source of the voice and sees a young lady before him. 

- As he eyed her up and down, he noticed her ballgown was tattered and she was barefoot??

- Seonghwa raised his eyebrows, keeping his distance as he asked,” Who might you be, if may I ask?”

- The lady chuckled at the question, and stepped closer to Seonghwa who only stepped further back

- She stopped right in front of him and leaned forward to whisper,” I’m someone who is going to be in so much trouble.” She giggled

- Seonghwa had never encountered someone so carefree and lively, and he has to admit, it was really...endearing to say the least

- He finally spoke again after he realised he was staring at her,”Oh well, I am Princ-”

- “Stop” The girl lifted her hand up out as a signal,”I’d prefer if we leave all of the titles at the door.” 

- Seonghwa was surprised at the order but nodded and rephrased his introduction,” Well, I am Seonghwa.” He bowed slightly out of habit

- The lady gave a smile that Seonghwa could have sworn made her eyes twinkle and held her hand out to him,” Hi! I’m Y/N” 

- The prince took a glance at her stretched out hand and back at her. She motioned her head towards the hand and Seonghwa finally realised what she meant.

- While they were shaking hands, the gruff voice of Seonghwa was heard at the entrance of the balcony door,” Seonghwa! Y/N!” He approached the both of them

- “I see you’ve both met each other.” Seonghwa widened his eyes as he stared at Y/N, shocked to find out that she was the Crown Princess of this kingdom. 

- She was still smiling at him brightly, before turning to his father and curtsied politely, articulating” Good evening, Your Grace. So it would seem that you are the good friend that my father talks of. Which also means,” She looked back at Seonghwa,”That you are the Crown Prince.” 

- Seonghwa didn’t know what to say. He was so confused of the entire situation since the moment he met this unique character, and yet he didn’t feel repulsed by it as he thought he would. 

- The princess looked down and realised that their hands were still in hold of each other, but she didn’t say anything. For truthfully, she liked the feeling of his hands, and he wasn’t letting go either so why should she?

- Seonghwa followed her gaze on her hands and realised the same thing. He silently gasped at their prolonged contact, but wasn’t so sure whether he wanted to let go.

- As he looked back at her, she gave him another playful smile, as if she’s saying,” This is going to be fun.” 

- Seonghwa felt a tug on the corner of his lips by the sight, and the thought of getting to know this interesting girl excited him

- And so he pulled her closer and kissed her hand that was still in her grasp, making her giggle shyly.

- The King was only enjoying the spectacle as the middle man in this situation; Maybe their hopes of uniting the kingdom may come sooner than expected..
