[ad_1] GG News Bureau Mumbai, 10th Feb. Amid growing outrage over YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia’s remarks on a roast show, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has warned that anyone crossing the limits of decency will face action. The Chief Minister stated that while he had not watched the viral clip, he was informed that it was “very vulgar” and unacceptable. “Everyone has freedom of speech, but this freedom ends when we encroach upon others’ rights. If anyone crosses the limits, action will be taken,” Fadnavis said. The controversy erupted after a clip from the show India’s Got Latent went viral, featuring Allahbadia—popularly known as BeerBiceps—posing an inappropriate question to a contestant. Two Mumbai lawyers, Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra, have filed a police complaint against Allahbadia and other comedians, including Samay Raina and Apoorva Makhija, alleging that their remarks were vulgar and disrespectful towards women. The complaint, submitted to Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phalsankar and the Maharashtra State Women’s Commission, demands an FIR against the show’s creators and its shutdown. The lawyers argue that the show promotes indecency for financial gain and negatively influences young minds. The incident has sparked widespread backlash on social media. Journalist and lyricist Neelesh Misra criticized the platform’s creators for lacking responsibility. “Decency is not incentivized in India—platforms and audiences are rewarding crass content,” Misra posted on X. Congress leader Supriya Shrinate also condemned the show, calling the remarks “perverse, not creative.” She expressed concern that such comments were being normalized under the guise of comedy. With pressure mounting, authorities may soon take action against the show’s organizers. Gall bladder Laparoscopy Surgery in Delhi NCR
What is the gallbladder?
The gallbladder is an organ in the body that sits just below the liver. It is a small sac whose main role is to absorb bile from the liver, concentrate it, and send it to the small intestine when needed. But all this makes them vulnerable to many diseases and infections. One of the most common problems is gallstones. In this article, Dr. Ashish Gautam, who has been performing gallstone removal surgery in Delhi for over 20 years, shares more about the best gallstone treatment in Delhi.
 What are gallstones?
Gallstones form in the gallbladder for various reasons. They are a buildup of bile salts and sometimes other substances that indicate various diseases. They are more common in older women and people with certain blood disorders. Gallstones are usually benign and asymptomatic, but if they spread further, they can cause pain and blockage of the bile ducts. Moreover, gallstones formed over a long period of time can also cause cancer in rare cases.
There are two main types of gallstones:
Cholesterol stones: Around 80% of gallstones are cholesterol stones and are yellow-green in colour.
Pigment stones: Made up of bilirubin, they are smaller and darker in colour than cholesterol stones.
Gallstone Specialist Ashish Gautam always advises his patients that both types of stones can be treated with a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. What is cholecystitis?  Cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder, usually caused by a gallstone blocking one of the bile ducts. The gallbladder cannot empty its contents, causing pain and eventually infection and fever. Removing the gallbladder will eliminate these symptoms. After such surgery, pain relief is often noticeable almost immediately.
Who is at risk for gallstones?
Overweight people
 Women over 50 years old
People who consume a high-fat diet
After other major abdominal surgery
Certain blood disorders such as sickle cell anaemia
Patients with a corresponding family history
What are the symptoms associated with gallstones?
Upper abdominal and back pain, nausea, vomiting, etc. are some of the symptoms associated with gallstones. These pains are often accompanied by colic pains. In many cases, gallstones can cause cholecystitis, i.e. an infection of the gallbladder. This infection can lead to severe symptoms such as fever, pain and tenderness in the upper right abdomen. In this case, emergency treatment may be required.
Do I need to undergo surgery to remove my gallstones? Mild gallstones can be treated with medication and lifestyle changes, but surgery is absolutely necessary in most cases. If your gallbladder is infected, surgery is also essential to avoid life-threatening complications.
First, Dr. Ashish Gautam will investigate all possible causes of the problem. Your doctor will first discuss your pain and lifestyle habits in detail and then perform a physical examination. Blood tests and ultrasounds will also be performed for an accurate diagnosis. Surgery is only recommended after considering all factors, including the long-term effects and your overall physical health. Before removing your gallbladder, a special x-ray called an intraoperative cholangiogram may be done to view the structure of your bile ducts.
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy or gallbladder removal is a very safe and effective surgery. There are almost no risks associated with this operation. The surgeon makes four small (keyhole-sized) holes in your abdomen. A laparoscope, which has a lighted endoscope connected to a camera, is inserted through the incision closest to your belly button. The surgeon uses a video monitor as a guide while he inserts surgical tools through the remaining incisions to remove your gallbladder.
Dr. Ashish Gautam, best laparoscopic surgeon in Delhi NCR, knows that making the decision to undergo surgery can be a difficult and scary one, especially when you are in pain. We assure you that your concerns and expectations will be our top priority every step of the way.

Jan 12, 2025 05:02 AM IST Kolkata: Mohun Bagan Super Giant beat East Bengal 1-0, maintaining their unbeaten ISL record and extending their lead at the top to eight points. Kolkata: This was the second time in the week that Hijazi Maher erred. Against Mumbai City FC on Monday, it had come late in the match. With East Bengal adopting a high line in Saturday’s derby, it came in the second minute when the central defender was out of position and failed to stop Ashish Rai’s lob. Jamie Maclaren did not need a second invitation and scored at Prabsukhan Gill’s near post. Players of Mohun Bagan Super Giant and East Bengal FC in action on Saturday. (Adimazes/ISL) The 1-0 win took Mohun Bagan Super Giant on 35 points after 15 rounds and kept their unbeaten record intact against East Bengal in the Indian Super League (ISL). Mohun Bagan are eight clear at the top, the gap between them and Bengaluru FC widening after Mohammedan Sporting won 1-0 through Mirjalol Kasimov’s stunning free-kick earlier on Saturday. Down to 10 after 64 minutes when Souvik Chakraborty got his second booking, for East Bengal it was more of the same: individual mistakes and lacking sharpness in front. Decisions from referee Venkatesh R, adjudged best in the business in India last term, didn’t help East Bengal either. Chakraborty’s first booking, for a foul on Lalengmawia Ralte, was contentious and the first half in Guwahati ended with East Bengal looking like they were denied a penalty. A shot from PV Vishnu hit Ralte’s hand which was away from his body. East Bengal coach Oscar Bruzon said he had no doubt that it was a penalty. It wasn’t the first time this term that East Bengal were not on the right side of what could have been a game-changing decision. The best chances came early. Vishnu and David Lalhlansanga found Cleiton Silva who delayed just so and Tom Aldred managed an interception in the seventh minute. Silva, 37, has been a shadow of the player who got 12 goals in 2022-23 this term. In the 21st minute, Manvir Singh could have put the match beyond doubt after Jason Cummings and Maclaren combined to find him but Gill produced an excellent save to keep East Bengal in the game. It kept the scoreline respectable in this scrappy match but did little to stop Mohun Bagan from marching to the ISL league shield. Saturday Morning Coffee
Good morning from Charlottesville, Virginia! ☕️
Tumblr media
It was nice having a short week to ease back into work, and a slow week at that as we headed into a four day weekend.
Yesterday I hit 57, the big 60 is hiding just around the corner and the walk to retirement age is just around the corner from that. It’s strange. I don’t feel that old mentally. My body is broken but my spirit and mind are doing fine.
On with the linkage! Enjoy. 😀
Eleanor Beardsley and Chandelis Duster • NPR
French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, took a tour of the cathedral early on Friday. Macron marveled at the soaring light stone ceilings — now cleansed of soot and centuries of grime — as he toured the more than 800 year old restored cathedral.
With all the bad news in the world I thought I’d share some hope. It was so depressing to see Notre Dame burn. But it’s back! That’s something to celebrate.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how social networks die, these past two years. It’s an unusually personal topic. In 2009, I picked up my life to move to San Francisco and work for Twitter. I joined a startup you could fit around a giant lunch table, and left a corporation with thousands of employees and hundreds of millions of users.
Watching Twitter disappear was a real loss for the web. It was mostly a great place, at least for me, and it opened us all up to a new form of communication and breaking news. We could follow our favorite news organizations and movie stars and on occasion even interact with them. It was great. Now it’s just one big dumpster fire.
Seeing ActivityPub and AT Proto come along has been a breath of fresh air. Could you imagine if Twitter was still Twitter and embraced AT Proto? That would’ve been something.

While Javascript is unavoidable, here’s how I think one should try to limit its spread.
JavaScript is eating the world, just like C did in the 80’s and early 90’s.
I’d call WillowTree a premier native iOS and Android shop, amongst other things, and now we’re doing a lot more React Native and TypeScript. I know of native iOS Apps that use JavaScript internally for business logic. It’s handy. It’s an ugly language but useful.

Formula 1 on Monday at last said it will expand its grid in 2026 to make room for an American team that is partnered with General Motors.
I’m very excited for this! I’ve wanted to see an American manufacturer back in F1 for quite a while. I know Redbull is working with Ford on a new power unit but it’s nice to see Cadillac dedicated to the entire sport. They will become my new team on the grid. I’ve low key supported Haas for a number of years and always wanted them to switch to an American power unit manufacturer. Maybe they will at some point. Haas runs Ford motors in NASCAR why not move to them for F1 if they can get Ford behind them.

Amazon workers are planning to strike from Black Friday through Cyber Monday to hold the company accountable for “labor abuses, environmental degradation and threats to democracy,” organizers say.
I didn’t pay attention to this yesterday so I wonder how things went?

I had never done anything even vaguely approaching web development before I made this site. I probably couldn’t have even told you what it meant. I did have a bit of coding experience (I used a lot of python for my degree), but this was very different. I could not have done it without the help of the people who came before me and were generous enough to create guides for the rest of us. These are the resources I used the most
Neat! I love seeing folks who’ve never done this kind of work pull something beautiful together. Great work!
Mia Sato • The Verge
In her lawsuit, Gifford alleges that Sheil copied her, down to specific frames in videos. She claims that repeated pattern and Sheil’s uncannily similar content ultimately cut into Gifford’s own earnings. The similarities extend, in Gifford’s telling, beyond just video content to eerie real-life aspects like her manner of speaking, appearance, and even tattoos.
This is kind of weird. Was it intentional or did it just happen? It seems that’s the lynchpin to the case.
Rob Knight
I’ve been helping getting MacStories setup on Bluesky this weekend and I came across a few handy sites.
I’ve been using Bluesky a bit more now that I can follow more folks I know and those famous people I like. More tools, please.
Will this be a big enough thing for folks like Iconfactory and Tapbots to enter the market?
Luna Razzaghipour
Most people writing code that ends up running on macOS machines aren’t super familiar with the operating system, its unique features or its rough edges. That’s okay! If you’re a programmer using macOS and your code will actually end up running on a Mac rather than a server somewhere or whatever – even if your software isn’t a user-facing graphical application – then this post is for you.
I know concurrency support in Swift 6.0 is a big topic of conversation but I gotta be honest, I find it terribly confusing. Old school threading and rules around it are so much easier to grasp.
Of course I need to dive into the Swift 6.0 version of concurrency. But I think it’s good to learn it at a lower level.
Manton Reece
Comparing ActivityPub and AT Proto is a useful exercise. It’s tempting but ultimately too simple to say that one is decentralized and one is centralized.
AT Proto is something I’d like to know more about. It’s so different but it does seem quite powerful and I wonder if parts of AT Proto could be used under ActivityPub? It seems to me like it could, unfortunately I can’t remember the name of the part I’m referring to.

I don’t know about you, but if I were to look at all of this as an outsider, it sure would look as if C++ is basically falling apart, and as if a vast amount of people lost faith in the ability of C++’s committee to somehow stay on top of this.
I can only imagine how difficult it must be to maintain backward compatibility for a language as old as C++ and continue to advance it.
I hope it doesn’t splinter and make a mess out of a tried and true low level programming language. There’s so much code out there that needs to continue working and advancing the language without breaking things is crazy challenging.

[ad_1] Left: Jason Cummings, Right: Sunil Chhetri. Sources: Instagram Mohun Bagan will aim to further solidify their position at the top of the table as they face Bengaluru FC in a highly anticipated clash, often referred to as the Indian ‘El Clasico’. On Monday, the Salt Lake Stadium is expected to host more than 30,000 spectators, with the stakes heightened following Mohun Bagan’s disheartening defeat in the reverse fixture. Adding to the intensity is the fact that the Mariners have dropped crucial points in their last two matches, making this game a must-win for them to maintain their grip on the league shield. A slip-up could reopen the title race significantly. Mohun Bagan, unbeaten in their last seven home games, have amassed 37 points from 17 matches, with 11 wins and four draws. In their last five games, they have secured three victories and two draws. Bengaluru FC, meanwhile, are struggling for form, winless in their previous four outings (D1, L3). Currently third in the standings with 28 points from 17 matches (8 wins, 4 draws), the Blues trail the Mariners by nine points and will be eager to pull off an upset to close the gap. The Mariners will be without their midfield stalwart Anirudh Thapa, who is still recovering from injury. However, they are boosted by the return of former Bengaluru FC midfielder Ashique Kuruniyan, who will be available for selection. Ashique’s availability is expected to add depth and flexibility to Jose Molina’s tactical plans, especially as a second-half option. Concerns over Vishal Kaith’s availability were put to rest after the goalkeeper participated in a full-fledged training session on Sunday, with coach Molina confirming that Kaith is likely to start. On the defensive front, Ashish Rai will miss the game due to suspension after accumulating four yellow cards. Dipendu Biswas is expected to replace him in the starting XI. Although Dipendu had a tough outing in the reverse fixture against Bengaluru FC, the local talent has the potential to shine in this crucial encounter. Alberto Noguero in the reverse fixture against Mohun Bagan SG. Source: ISL For Bengaluru FC, much will depend on their attacking trio of Sunil Chhetri, Edgar Méndez and Ryan Williams, supported by attacking midfielder Alberto Noguera. Chhetri, enjoying another stellar season with 11 goals to his name, will undoubtedly be the key player to watch. The Salt Lake Stadium holds special significance in Chhetri’s career — this was where he played his farewell game for the national team. However, Bengaluru FC will also remember their heartbreak at this venue, losing to Mohun Bagan in a penalty shootout in the Durand Cup semi-finals. Chhetri will be eager to make his mark against his former team on this occasion. Bengaluru FC have demonstrated a knack for late comebacks, having scored 10 goals in the final 15 minutes of matches this season — more than any other team. This statistic underlines their resilience and their ability to remain a threat until the final whistle. However, the absence of their defensive lynchpin Aleksandar Jovanovic poses a significant challenge. Coach Gerard Zaragoza will have to rely on an all-Indian backline, which will need to be at its best to counter Mohun Bagan’s formidable attack that has created 194 goal-scoring chances this season. Adding to the excitement, Mariners’ fans are set to unveil the world’s largest hand-painted tifo at the stadium — a remarkable 25,500 square feet artwork that will symbolise their unwavering support for the team. With a big turnout, vibrant tifos, passionate chants and some of the league’s biggest stars on display, the match promises to be an electrifying encounter.
