LEXICON OF THE PLANES OF EXISTENCE, PART KAL/SYTH (I)

Scribe's Note: As guardian of the Dimensional Plane of Balance, my deity has given me the duty of writing down information regarding the Planes of Existence. I shall log every note, script, and etching given to me, and keep these recorded in books for myself in the future, as his graciousness has ordered me to do.

================================================= CREATION OF THE EXISTENTIAL PLANES =================================================

Almost all matter as we know it: Living, Non-living, and everything in-between exists within our reality. Before the creation of the planes themselves, the Primal Mother Aegila Kin and Primal Father Mortis Kin birthed seven children: Grey, Johnathan, Lixia, Myza, Christoferos, Ivanos, and Flora. Within the confines of Planar Prime, the original planespace that withheld all of reality, the siblings Kin were taught by their parents how to create and destroy matter, with the knowledge that they could not interfere with each others' creations. Grey Kin, who mastered this art faster than any of his fellow siblings, decided upon himself that he should have his own planespace, a material realm in which he could control and rule his own. Thus with the permission of the Mother and Father, Grey created the first non-primal Plane of Existence. Grey created worlds of his own, with their own life and intelligence. However, he always kept them in the dark about himself and the other deities. He felt as if the life that was created by his hand would crave the powers of the deities, and would eventually turn to chaos if their awareness grew. Despite his efforts, one day the life he created became fully aware of the rest of reality, and began to experiment on ways to destroy dimensional borders. Aegila became furious at her son, for not controlling his life well enough to protect this secret, but Mortis took a great interest in the people he made. Mortis had realized that the knowledge on how to cross between dimensions meant that there could be a way to control dimensions and creations of other deities, and felt that it was his primal right to do so. Aegila however, felt that the creations of her children should only be their own, and despite the faults that Grey made it should be his responsibility to cover his mistakes. The parents (and their children) fought over this control dispute for aeons in a battle so strong it shook the very fabric of reality (only known as the Great Maelstrom), until eventually Aegila discovered that Mortis himself was creating a second Primal Plane of his own. She forced her hand upon him, binding him to the realm he created, and sealed him away in his own Primal Plane - his Planar Nox. Weakened from ages of battle, Aegila and her children began to rest, but not before she allowed her fellow children to create their own dimensional planes. With the little strength they had, each deity created a plane of their own, and bound themselves together so that all their work would exist as one. Now as they awake, each deity has assumed indirect control of their realms, creating and shaping them as they see fit within the borders of their plane.

================================================= STRUCTURE OF THE EXISTENTIAL PLANES =================================================

One of the most important notes about the Planes of Existence (also referred to as the Dimensional Planes) is that they are physically ever-changing. With no real shape or form, they can infinitely expand to house more dimensions if the need be. This is likely why the deities have no quarrels with the confines of their own planespace. However, each non-primal plane is bonded between 4 other planes: two adjacent dimensional planes, and always the two primal planes, Planar Prime and Planar Nox. These form a cycle surrounding the two, in such an order (with the Primal planes beneath and above the rest.):

CHAOS -> BALANCE -> LAW -> AIR -> WATER -> FIRE -> EARTH -> CHAOS

Each non-primal plane (except for that of Balance) conains a web of different worlds and universes, each known as a "Dimensional Realm" (or "Dimension"). Each deity shapes the borders of a Dimensional Realm in their own unique pattern or shape, but there is no possible way (at least no longer) for created beings inside that dimensional realm to physically reach its border, with the exception of dimensional anomalies (which will be discussed in a further log). Despite their ability to expand infinitely, the Dimensional Planes seem to always form a centerpoint or "Central Realm", acting as a sort of Planar Prime of their own. These realms are created solely for the Deity who controls it, their protectorate Beast, and in some cases, their Guardian. Any realm, location, or object outside of these 9 Planes (Earth, Fire, Water, Air, Law, Balance, Chaos, Prime and Nox) is considered outside of our reality and NOT under the juristiction of our deities.

================================================= ON THE PLANES THEMSELVES =================================================

The Nine Planes as we know them exist in three seperate types: Primal, Elemental, and Non-Elemental. Planar Prime and Planar Nox are referred to as the Primal Planes, because they house the two creator deities: Aegila the Mother and Mortis the Father. The Elemental Planes were given to the younger of the seven Kin siblings, and are named so because the deities themselves have chosen to represent each of these elemental states throughout reality. As they are bound to one another, they shall always exist in one another. The Non-elemental planes were created by the eldest three siblings Kin: Grey, Lixia, and Johnathan. These deities have chosen to represent the states of order in each plane, and share the same bond that the elemental planes do.

-PLANAR PRIME-

Planar Prime is known as the Crucible of Creation. From only this plane did the 8 others form, one after the other. The Plane of Chaos was the first, and the Plane of Earth the last. Prior to the events of the Great Maelstrom, all deities created and rested in this Plane. As last seen by my own deity, his graciousness Johnathan Kin, Planar Prime holds little now, with the exception of Aegila herself. "A void of white and our mother", as he put it. There is rumor of other deities made by the Mother, but I will record more about that in a further log.

-PLANAR NOX-

Simply put, a never-ending prison. Originally created during the Great Maelstrom as a tool for Planar Research, Planar Nox became a prison for creatures particularly harmful to all of reality. The interior of this Plane is currently unknown, as it is sealed away by the power of Planar Prime and the Dimensional Planes. It is known to have at least 3 current inhabitants, one of them being the Father, Mortis Kin. His graciousness theorizes that despite its binding, Mortis' influence effects all of reality, and is why the planes are never completely in balance.

-THE DIMENSIONAL PLANE OF EARTH-

The Dimensional Plane of Earth is known to be the very last dimensional plane created. The deity Ivanos Kin, whilst not the youngest, created his realm last because he chose not to begin until after his great rest. The Central Realm of this Plane is known to be quite cavernous, and home to many unknown beasts. Ivanos is also known to still rest frequently in his Central Realm, as he still seems to be recovering unlike his fellow siblings. The Plane of Earth shares a close bond with that of the planes of Chaos and Fire; much more closely than other existential bonds. Due to this, there have been some reports of dimensional anomalies between the two.

-THE DIMENSIONAL PLANE OF FIRE-

Governed by the deity Flora Kin, the Dimensional Plane of Fire is locked between the Earth and Water planes. Flora, youngest of the deities, shares a unique bond with her sister Myza. The shape of their Dimensional Realms seem to be polar opposite with one another. Despite this strange bond, there have been no reports of anomalies between the two, unlike the Fire and Earth planes. Flora's Central Realm houses an ocean of molten rock and ashes, a veritable wasteland of heat and fire. It is said she lives above this world, and that she knows very little about what lies below, despite her personal creation of it.

-THE DIMENSIONAL PLANE OF WATER-

Eldest of the Kin siblings to control an elemental plane, Myza Kin created the Dimensional Plane of Water and has shaped its boundaries fitting to her personality. A cold, calculating plane bounded between those of Fire and Air, Myza has found a way to bind her dimensions in simple, equal shapes across her planar grid. This way of shaping a realm is inverse to how her sister Flora creates dimensions, who uses a spark-like uneven mentality when creating dimensions, allowing a shape to burst from the realm's center. Myza's central realm is known to be completely submerged under an endless ocean, with no surface or floor. His graciousness has mentioned that "Despite the lack of breathable oxygen, any life in Myza's home will find themsleves perfectly able to breathe." Whilst I have not ventured to any of the central realms aside from that of my own creator's, I will not deny that I find this one most interesting.

-THE DIMENSIONAL PLANE OF AIR- The Plane of Air's dimensional realms do not directly border each other, but instead link to one another by some sort of dimensional tethering. It's creator, the deity Christoferos Kin, shows pride in his work as the second-eldest of the elemental deities. He is also known for creating realms in which no life presides at all, something no recorded log shows any of the other deities have been able to achieve. Even more unusual, these lifeless dimensions still show intellectual progress and emotion in a world without organic beings. The Plane of Air, much like that of Earth, is bonded to one side an elemental plane (Water) and one non-elemental (Law). It is not unexpected that the plane of Air does not seem to have close correlation with the Plane of Law, mainly because the bonds between non-elemental and elemental planes are much different than elemental-to-elemental.

-THE DIMENSIONAL PLANE OF LAW- The first of the non-elemental planes, the Dimensional Plane of Law differs drastically from the elemental planes. However, unlike the elemental planes that differ in life-creation or dimensional borders, the non-elemental planes are more directly influenced by their deities. Due to this, non-elemental planes tend to not be as linked together as the elemental bonds are to one another. Lixia, deity of Law, has only contained 2 realms in her planar boundaries. His graciousness has not given me any information on how or why this is, but I have been told that her central plane is best known as a vast land of spiraling towers heading skyward. The Plane of Law shares it's borders with the non-elemental Plane of Balance and the elemental plane of Air, which unlike the plane of Chaos, does not share a close relationship with.

-THE DIMENSIONAL PLANE OF BALANCE-

Johnathan Kin, patron deity to my own likeness and ruler of the Dimensional Plane of Balance controls his base of operations in this realm. It was created for the sole purpose of keeping track of any instability made throughout the planes (Planar Instability shall be further discussed in a future log). Dealing with instability is a difficult process, and is perhaps why the Plane of Balance is known to cover it's entirety in it's Central Realm. An endless space of screens, each one observing every moment in every realm is all I have seen from my visits. While surely I do not believe his graciousness can observe every single moment in reality, I am sure he does his best. The Plane of Balance is the only Dimensional Plane that is linked to only Non-elemental Planes and Primal Planes, and though his graciousness has stated this was purposely done to keep itself between the Planes of Law and Chaos, he has never explained why.

-THE DIMENSIONAL PLANE OF CHAOS-

Despite it's non-elemental stature, the Dimensional Plane of Chaos is perhaps the most similar to the regular elemental planes. This may also be the reason why it shares such strong affinity with the Dimensional Plane of Earth. The Central Realm of Chaos' appearance is indescribable, not because no one can understand it, but because it is in a state of constant physicaltransformation. His graciousness has told me that not once has the realm ever stayed in its same shape or form in the times he has visited. He believes this is because the deity Grey Kin wills his Central Realm to be chaotic. This plane also holds the only dimensional realm to ever be "erased" (cleansed of almost all life and matter). Whilst no dimension can truly be erased from existence, what lies within those borders now is unknown.

Final Scribes Note: It should reminded that not all matter exists within our Planes of Existence. There are many recorded spaces outside the confines of our reality as we know it, mostly shards left from the destruction caused by the Great Maelstrom. In fact, my abode, given to me by Johnathan himself (despite not having any real control over it), exists in one of these locations. Furthermore, not much has been discovered beyond our reality. The deities seem uninterested in exploring places beyond their reach, and I have no real reason to question their logic.
