I think people assume that Ingo is going to be the hardass of the twins. Newish Depot Agents are usually afraid of disappointing him and brand new ones will try to avoid fuck ups.
Likewise, it's assumed that Emmet is the laidback twin.
The truth is that Emmet cares WAY more about following the rules then Ingo does. Ingo doesn't mind breaking rules in order to do the right thing... Emmet tries to do the right thing within the rules and if that isn't possible, he will CHANGE the rules.
New Depot Agents usually learn this when they break a rule or make a major mistake for the first time. They usually sweat and panic a little bit as Ingo finds out... only for him to pat them on the head and offer to get coffee with them so they can work out how to best fix this situation. He's understanding and tries his best to be empathic of others.
Meanwhile, Emmet isn't MEAN but he is much stricter then Ingo is. Within reason, of course! The law should exist to protect, not to persecute. As such, the rules that he makes for Gear Station are rules for a reason... he doesn't get angry when Depot Agents make a mistake or break a rule but he IS stricter about it then Ingo and expects the Depot Agents under him to do their best to uphold and follow the rules he made. He expects that they fix their mistake and will hold them to that because he knows that he picks quality staff. Once they fix their mistake, he will praise them and let bygones be bygones.
A good way to explain it is that if there's a rule that Ingo doesn't agree with, he will do his best to circumvent that rule in a way that is best for everyone. Meanwhile, Emmet will do everything in his power to change that rule because believes that the rules should exist for everyones safety. There is nothing Emmet hates more than a corrupt law system. And if Emmet believes something should be in the rules and others won't listen to him? Then he will demonstrate WHY it should be a rule in the most malicious compliance way possible.
This is something the two of them sometimes butt heads over!

🎲 Anon here once again! When you said Volo is doing the family guy death pose. I can help but imagine Arceus just being aware, purposely making Volo do that pose for the joke.
I’d like to imagine the Meming streamer, being only a small streamer who enters a few contests here and there, and who loves battling however they suck at it.
They aren’t good with strategy, but they are good with one thing, bullshitting their way to victory.
Their lack of smarts is made up by a hella charismatic personality who can read and know the audience better than anyone else.
If they can’t win the battle they’ll win the audience. (Which will be a challenge when they get to Hisui, but they’ll pull it off occasionally)
They have a habit of using memes as a way to cope with stress. Even people who don’t get it can at least sense the good vibes.
Their heart is genuinely good too no matter how cowardly they can be at times.
It’s some of the best set up action comedy people have seen, and deep down the streamer is enjoying the chaos as well.
Unlike the Aura streamer who would change the world with love and strategy, the memeing streamer accidentally makes the world better just by being a loving gremlin, using memes and other strange ways to spread positivity and trust between Pokémon.
There is light to make out from and a dark situation at hand!
Even Arceus himself can’t be serious all the time, so to be a bit of a memer himself. He sent the streamer to be 100% themselves to save the Hisui region + catch all Pokémon.
They and their Pokémon slowly get better overtime with the stream and Ingo helping them with strategy.
However, what really mattered was the love shared, and it was clearly there.
When the streamer finally meets Arceus, music plays and it’s the heavy and intense drums, with a supporting ancient backup remix. The final battle is split between an actual battle and a dancing battle.
After the stream, people start to notice how the similar the music is…
It sounds really similar to Persona 4’s Specialist…and Arceus’s own 4 legged dance syncs perfectly to the song.
[It’s heavily debated by scientists, priests, and public whether he was actually using this]
So i had a whole thing written in response to this, and my phone thought it would be hilarious to give me a tumblr notification when im in the tumblr app and send me to the notification and delete the response 🙃 im still pissed about it
But i love the idea of a meme streamer!! You win everyone’s hearts one way or another! Even if you are a little silly doing so!
Just imagine you are out late at night looking for pokemon, and you are exhausted. You have one of your pokemon partners out with you to help keep you company.
Your Arcphone is streaming, and you turn it to face you as you try not to stumble down a hill.
“Me and the boys at 3 am looking for beans-“
Half your chat loses it. The other half begs you to go to a camp and sleep. You do not.

Ingo and Emmet, by the timemost of the fic takes place in the Mistborn AU, have certain strengths and weaknesses, and certain parts of their respective fighting styles that are rather unique.
This got so long. I thought too hard.
Got some claustrophobia stuff here, too.
Anyway:
Ingo's main weakness is that he is essentially a false Mistborn and does not, in fact, have the ability to burn all Allomantic metals. He gave himself the ability to burn metals other than iron by way of Hemalurgy -- specifically, by using slender pins, like very large needles.
(There's a certain irony and logic in the fact that he hunts Steel Inquisitors and yet has made himself into something resembling the same thing that he seeks to eradicate)
As such, there are certain things he's unable to do -- tracking someone by sensing the metal they burn, for example, or hiding his own use of metal. Most of the metals he burns are very noticeable -- steel and pewter, for example, though he also uses tin to amplify his senses for the purpose of self-preservation.
Also, claustrophobia. Very bad claustrophobia. He will panic if he's shooed into an enclosed space, especially at night -- an alley, an underground tunnel, a small room, anywhere small and confined.
Emmet's main weakness (outside of his linchpin) and is the fact that he constantly burns tin. As far as I can recall and tell, Steel Inquisitors don't really see normally -- having metal stakes driven into your eye sockets will do that to you, I guess -- and instead "see" by way of sensing metal. So, the presence and absence of metal. I think.
(One of the twins clocked him in the face with a brick, once)
(No you don't get context) (yet)
This is something that he's gotten used to, but being unable to see what's around him makes him exceptionally uneasy at times -- especially because of the fact that his hearing is not the best. It isn't the worst, but it is not the best, either.
Thus, he burns tin. It's almost constant, giving him an edge by letting him pick out the sounds of things nearby, such as sneaky little gremlin twins or murderous brothers or similar such threats. But this is for picking out small sounds -- he uses quite a bit of tin, as a result, and his hearing can be very sensitive at times, to the point where overly loud noises can be debilitating until he stops burning.
Now, fighting.
Ingo is very nimble, and accurate when moving via iron and steel. He's acquired quite a bit of flexibility and precision with his movements -- a lingering result of squirming around underground and trying not to shred his arms completely when reaching for atium beads in the Pits of Hathsin -- and when firing coins.
But here's where he gets fun.
His steelpush isn't the most powerful -- imperfect Hemalurgy, the pin spending too much time outside of his body, and such, has made it so. Coins are good, convenient weapons, but what about other pieces of metal, like shrapnel?
What about adding poison to the mix?
He wears gloves -- thick leather gloves that the shards won't cut through. The shrapnel cuts through skin with far less force than a coin, and if he's decided to use poison, well, isn't that convenient?
(I just really like the idea of Ingo knowing a lot about poison and toxins; it's fun, and in this case, I feel like it's something that's plausible)
Emmet, on the other hand, excels at close-quarters combat. And if he is given a weapon, he will dual wield. Knives? He's got two. Probably four, just in case one of them breaks. He knows when to flare pewter to hit especially hard, relying on his own natural speed and skill to get close, and when to burn it in the background to dull the pain of any wounds, to conserve what he has.
He hits hard and he hits fast, and you'll probably have either broken bones or a good number of lacerations by the time he's done with you -- if you're still alive.
Anyway, I just think these guys are neat. And that the idea of Mistborn using shrapnel in place of coins would be terrifying.

How does Giratina get to taste ice cream for the first time in all of your au's
I think it is very important that the giant worm on a string gets to taste ice cream.
I don't know about all of my aus because Giratina only plays a major role in one of them...
But here's prophet and heretic au Giratina trying ice cream, with a bonus sketch of ceiling gremlin time.
This is kind of a continuation of my last heretic!Emmet oneshot here. Giratina is teaching Emmet how to make a rift so he can go to Sinnoh. No trigger warnings this time, just wholesome fluff! :>
(sorry if Emmet is ooc, i didn't drink my character juice)
-------
"I am Emmet," he huffed as he collapsed on his back. The swirling purple tear in space sealed itself shut the moment Emmet removed his hand, and he couldn't help his frustrated groan. "Was that one at least close?"
"Yes. It would have taken you to your intended destination if it were stable enough to last." Giratina's voice echoed in Emmet's head. Giratina had gotten a lot better at his volume control, and Emmet's head no longer protested in pain every time he talked. It was a small mercy, though. Emmet only traded the headache for the pins and needles in his fingers as Giratina taught him how to rip a hole through the universe.
Emmet wished that Giratina could just do it himself, but the denizen of the distortion world was terrified of breaking Emmet's body with his otherworldly power. Thus, Emmet had to slowly build up a tolerance as he learned it himself.
"Remind me again why I did not just take a plane," Emmet mumbled through breathless pants.
"A plane ticket will get you to your destination once. This skill is reusable. Besides, if Arceus will not return your brother to you, you will need this to make your own tracks."
Swords, he was right. As difficult as it was, Emmet would have to learn this sooner or later. That didn't make it any less frustrating, though.
"Let us take a break. That is enough for now." He pushed himself up on his elbows and looked around. "Giratina... Why am I on the ceiling?"
"You didn't notice?"
"Nope."
"Uh... I think it was the seventh attempt."
"Oh, I remember that one, yup. That was when everything started floating." The rifts tended to mess with the space around Emmet if he wasn't careful. There were a couple of broken mugs that could attest to that. "But why have I not fallen down yet?"
Emmet stood up and walked around. He was getting footprints on his ceiling, but this was too cool for him to care. He wished he had noticed it sooner so he could have enjoyed it more.
"In the distortion world, the laws of physics aren't as concrete. Some tracks run perpendicular to others, and some are completely upside down. I think it is rubbing off on you."
"Verrry interesting." Emmet hummed as he made his way over to the kitchen. He felt like having something sweet. He pulled open the freezer and pulled out the last pint of ice cream.
He wondered at the feeling of the tub suddenly gaining weight in his hand. It was like it flipped to match him when he touched it. That explained why his hat wasn't somewhere on the floor in the living room, at least. Now for a spoon...
He couldn't reach the silverware drawer.
Emmet sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose before calling for Eelektross. All of his pokemon had fled to the farthest corner of the apartment while he was practicing rifts, but his trusty ace came when called.
"Hello Eelektross. I cannot reach the spoons. Can you please pass me one?" Emmet called down. He knew he could have figured out how to walk down the wall, but he was having fun. Also, the look on Eelektross' face was priceless.
Spoon acquired, Emmet opened up the pint and took a spoonful. It was vanilla. Ingo's favorite. For once, the reminder of his brother wasn't painful. Emmet was on a mission, and if all went well, Ingo would be coming home soon.
Emmet hummed as he ate his spoonful. It wasn't as good as dark chocolate or coffee flavor, but after hours of hard work, it hit the spot.
"What is this?" Giratina asked.
"Ice cream." Had Giratina never seen ice cream before? Probably not, if he had been trapped in the distortion world for centuries like he said. That was no good. "This is the first time I have eaten something since you became coupled to me, is it not? Can you taste this?"
"Unfortunately, no. While I am connected directly to your mind, I am not as connected to your body. It is like listening to a train that is several stations away."
"That is verrry sad. Here. How about you conduct. And you can have the ice cream." Emmet sat down and tried to mentally nudge Giratina forward.
He figured simply imagining himself stepping back wouldn't work, as visualization did nothing for the rifts he was trying to open. Instead, he tried to imagine how he felt when he took his hands off of the controls of a subway car and let the on-board computer take over. The knowledge that the train wouldn't crash without him commanding it.
Whether it was Emmet himself who triggered it or Giratina got the message, Emmet felt a bit of his awareness slip away. It wasn't as bad as he had feared. He was still conscious and aware, but everything was just a bit fuzzy. It felt like the transition from waking to sleeping, where everything was muted and cozy.
"I am Giratina." Words spilled from Emmet's mouth in a register far lower than what Emmet was comfortable making. "Thank you."
"No problem. Just enjoy your Ice cream, yup!"
Giratina wasn't exaggerating when he said he couldn't taste anything. Emmet only felt a whisper of cold and the barest hint of sweetness on his tongue as Giratina took his first bite. Emmet was sad they couldn't both enjoy it, but it was worth it for Giratina's reaction.
Giratina was speechless. Emmet knew the feeling, like words couldn't quite capture the intensity of your emotions. Instead, Giratina went back to expressing himself in pure thought, but with Emmet in the passenger seat, it didn't hurt like the first time they spoke. Emmet felt overcome by jittery joy, and he tried to flap the hand that wasn't holding the spoon.
Confusion rippled over their bond, and Emmet stopped. "Sorry. I did not mean to interrupt."
"It is fine. Did you want me to do something? Or did you want to conduct again?" Giratina questioned flatly, but Emmet could feel a hint of disappointment leaking from the other. Time to put a stop to that.
"I want you to try something. I like to do it when I feel happy. Maybe you will like it too." Emmet tried to move his right hand again, and Giratina felt the urge to move. He obliged, and he flapped his hand a few times at his side. Emmet could feel their grin grow wider as Giratina let out a giggle.
"You were right! This is nice."
Giratina finished off the rest of the pint with gusto, taking occasional breaks to bleed off excess energy into his hands. It was a little silly, but it was the fun kind of silly that made you want to laugh until your sides hurt. While Emmet couldn't taste much, he could feel Giratina's happiness as if it were his own, and that was enough for him. Emmet wondered what else he could get Giratina to try after they returned Ingo to his proper station.
Afterwards, they sat in companionable silence for a bit. Giratina soaked in everything his new senses could take while Emmet drifted.
The silence was broken by a knock on the door.
"Emmet? Are you home?" The voice on the other side was frantic with worry. Oh no. Emmet hadn't checked his Xtransceiver all day, had he?
"Emmet. What do I do!" Giratina hissed. In any other situation, it would be hilarious to hear the legendary pokemon so scared, but Emmet knew that he wasn't one to talk. Elesa was going to be furious with him. As it was, Giratina was probably feeling Emmet's panic on top of his own.
"That is my friend Elesa. Tell her she can come in. She has a key." Emmet tried to calm both of them down. Judging by Giratina's hesitance, it didn't work all that well, but Giratina complied anyway.
"Come in!" He yelped. His voice was almost high enough to pass for Emmet's. There was a long sigh and the clink of keys from the other side of the door.
"Dragons, Emmet, answer your Xtrans!" Elesa opened the door and stopped cold as she locked eyes with Giratina. "Emmet? Why the hell are you on the ceiling!?"
Oops. They forgot about that. Giratina wrung his hands and scrambled for an answer, but the vocal tic he picked up from Emmet popped out first.
"I am Giratina! I mean. I am Emmet?" Giratina spluttered. He didn't even resist as Emmet brought his hand up and facepalmed.

Kid Emmet is such a cute little guy, curious and naturally attuned to Pokémon. He's smart and endearing, even if he acts like a little gremlin, sometimes. But... He still manages to get himself in what could very well be dangerous situations! Even if they end up alright, most of the time (Befriending Lord Electrode and Arcanine, messing around with the Rapidash, trying to get close to aggressive Pokémon, etc)
Would his luck ever run out, and end up with him biting more than he could chew? Could his curious and fearless attitude land him in some very real danger, someday? Get him hurt? How would Ingo react to that?
( TW injury but I don't describe it in great detail )
Usually Ingo handles close-calls fairly well, at least in the moment that he has to respond to them. He keeps his cool and is able to step in and stop something potentially catastrophic from happening to his way-too-curious little brother. He's stepped in front of incoming pokemon attacks to shield little Emmet more times than he can count at this point.
But what if something happens while he isn't around? When he can't step in? Let's say that Emmet is out exploring the wilds with Rei one day, and gets a little too far from Rei and a little too close to an alpha Parasect. It attacks too quickly for Emmet to respond and Rei is too far away to bail him out. Emmet very quickly realizes that he has to fight it off on his own, and he's able to do it, but just barely, and not without sustaining a pretty nasty cut and quite a bit of poison damage. He passes out from the poison before Rei can get there.
Ingo is indisposed out in the Highlands when this happens, and by the time a breathless messenger gets to him with the news, several hours have passed and Ingo instantly feels his heart drop like its been tossed from a 12-story building. He drops what he's doing and heads straight to the infirmary in Jubilife Village, praying to whatever gods that are out there that his brother is okay.
When he gets there Emmet is alive but still unconscious and Ingo is a nervous wreck. He refuses to leave but also feels too anxious to sit still so he paces back and forth in the infirmary for hours ( which just about drives Pesselle insane, but she can't ask him to leave ). He demands that Rei tell him what happened, and Rei very apologetically does so. Ingo knows deep down that Rei loves Emmet and probably feels horrible about what happened, but he's not thinking clearly in the moment, and snaps at him for not watching over him like he should ( after he cools down a bit he apologizes to Rei for this and Rei assures him that he understands and knows he just said what he said because he was stressed, but Ingo still feels bad about it to date ).
When Emmet comes to, Ingo is extremely relieved but also angry. He rips him a new one for being so careless and irresponsible.
"You have to be more careful than that, Emmet!" he shouts. "I can't lose you again!"
Emmet doesn't know what to make of his words but they hit like a punch in the gut. Especially that one word: Again. He can't recall ever being separated from Ingo while he was in Hisui; could it be possible that Ingo remembers being separated from him in his previous life? But that can't be right; he doesn't remember anything, does he?
So Emmet asks, "What do you mean, 'again?'"
This brings his older brother up short. He stops shouting and stares at him for a few seconds as if seeing him for the first time.
"I don't know," he stammers eventually, now at a much quieter volume. "Just, please. I'm sorry for getting angry but--please be careful. I can't stand the idea of anything happening to you."
Emmet promises that he will and gives him a hug and with that the subject drops. Still, he can't stop thinking about what Ingo said.
Again. I can't lose you again.

okay been watching for a while and i'm finally gonna fling my submas au nonsense at you, starting with the most mild and ramping up from there. i've already put them out there on my own blog but i wanna see some blankshipping takes on them!
1/3; underground au! (my post with details; https://alphagodith.tumblr.com/post/683749140442841088/underground-submas-au-ideas)
you've probably either seen this around already or seen some art that inspired it, but basically it's an au where the battle subway is an illegal operation and emmet and ingo are delinquents/gang leaders.
my favorite parts are probably just getting to see the twins in different clothes (goth ingo and punk emmet ftw), but i think there's a lot of potential for found family, the bros finding/making a space where they can express their love the way they want to, as well as that extra deep ride-or-die bond that comes with the action, drama, and chaos of being law-breakers. cuz i mean, if you're already running from the law and literally fighting just to keep some semblance of peace in your underground pokemon battling ring on a daily basis, what's it matter if people see you kiss your bro on the lips? i imagine their personalities are mooostly the same, just way fewer fucks to give as far as being 'appropriate'. they still try to keep things safe tho!
what do you think???
Hello @alphagodith !! ヽ(✿゚▽゚)ノ
I've seen this AU floating around, and I liked the aesthetic for it very much!
I imagine their personalities are closest to the manga version, because those two are quite the battle gremlins. Even Ingo, who is usually seen as the more mature and sincere one, is absolutely a show off with his battle strategies. Instead of the normal announcement system, Emmet uses a megaphone, and especially likes to use it to announce his brother's ties (and losses) just to tease him.
Everybody is really into Goth Ingo huh? ヾ(•ω•`)o Cause of Chandelure, right? It's funny to me because Chandelure gives this really refined, sleek gothic aesthetic, but then he's also got Garbador and Drillbur - trash and mole pokémon. He also has a Klinklang, so he probably gets grease and other lubricants everywhere, constantly having to change any gloves he wears. Many of his other known pokémon are very chunky or not traditionally cute/cool pokémon. So Chandelure is actually the outlier in his group of pokémon, but everyone just sort of looked at this amazingly cool pokémon and went yes. This is Ingo. It's interesting!

Yellow 💛 french anon here
Ok so me and two friends of mine were discussing about your pingo AU since i show it to them and like they fell in love with it but anyways, so we were talking about it and then Redda (one of my friends) suddenly stop talking and after two/three minutes she gasp and say:
Redda: Ok, ok! Listen! What if we took Tom Holland Spider-man and throw in there???
Oppalio: Redda . you . forking . genius!!!!
Me: Oh MY GOD YESSSSSS!!!
And we keep going on and on about because just yes! So here is what we manage to create storyline wise.
-------
Ok so first it happened like some month after No Way Home (sorry if you didn't watch it so spoilers here), (Tom Holland) Peter is all alone, the last Parker alive and nobody remembers him. Right now he is very sad because of that, Arceus (or Giratina idk but one of the two) see that even though they ate a God from an inter other univers and decide by watching him and is life that mm yes great hero he will be a great help (Arceus) or fuck no you've been alone enough child here you go found family now stop being sad (Giratina) and just isekai him into the pokemon world and to Ingo.
He didn't lost any of his memories and is still very sad 😢 and now in an other world that he now about because he (headcanon of mine) use to play the game alot when he was a child (Black & White, B2 & W2, X & Y and the other newer game excepted the ones on the switch because brook), he is forking terrified but then calm down realizing, his own world need Spider-man but not him because nobody remembers him, is a ghost in is own wolrd, only existing there has only Spider-man not Peter Parker and here he can be himself, he can be Peter Parker with a little pinche of Spidey in there. He get up and noticed a small pokemon, an eevee close to him, looking at him. After that he start to wander around with the small eevee on his shoulder.
After some minute of wandering he finally checked is pocket finding his web-shooter and his cracked phone with only one message showing, Find Warden Ingo and help them hero (Arceus) or Find Warden Ingo, your new family and be happy hero (Giratina). So that what he did and it was verrrry fast since the second he put is phone down he bumps into Ingo himself, after some apologizing from both side Ingo finally present himself and Peter did the same. And like every other fallers Ingo decide to adopte him. And that how Peter gain a new and very very big family at 18 years old.
---------
And we also think that Peter wouldn't really hide about his power since he doesn't need to because every one of his new family can very well defend themselves all alone but still he didn't outright say it but once he jump in and save the gremlins trio (Hilda, Elio and Gloria) + Brendan from an Alpha Steelix by literally punching it in one shot (Spidey can literally lift a blinded tank with ease and punch a T-Rex out cold in one punche) he had to explain his power and all the children were in awe and accept him very easily.
(Hilda: That so fucking cool!!!!!!!!!!
Ingo: Hilda language)
And i already add some idea for some pokemon he will catch:
- The eevee he befriended evolved into an Umbreon named Michelle
- An Audino he catch named May
- Two Rotom Ingo gave him because they kept flying around him, one's named Karen and the other's (a shiny) named Tony
- A poor little Joltik misplaced by a distortion named Droney
- And A Huisian Growlith named Ned
But anyways, he help Ingo around with the other children, play prank war with the gremlins trio, watch Calem and Cyllene swords match, wanders around with Brendan, just stay silent petting his pokemon with Red and many more.
That all for now, sorry if I gotten all out on you about this but me and my friend wouldn't stop thinking about it and we really wanted to shared it with you (my friend are right hovering over my shoulders, watching me write down this ask 😂) and sorry if you don't like Spider-man or Marvel or if you didn't watch No Way Home ^^".
Ok that all for now and keep doing what your doing with your AU's me and my friend loves them bye-bye.
Redda and Oppalio: Bye!!!
Haha you and your friends sound so kind! I’m glad you all like the au!! And thank you for all of you wanting to share this with me!!
While I am unsure of how to go about multi-media crossover concepts, it sounds like you and your friends have this concept down pretty well and are having a lot of fun with it! And while I’m not the most familiar with marvel/Spider-man stuff, I have seen No Way Home! (and it’s very good!! I enjoyed it!!)
AUs where characters are pulled into video games they play are always very fun to play around with, I really like that idea!! (Plus it gives the character an advantage since they know so much about the world through the video game) and having a little Eevee friend sounds so nice ;w;
And I can imagine how his tech would give him a big advantage haha, kids would want to wonder where that came from and probably think he’s trying to imitate Pokémon moves, like string shot!
And I like your thoughts on his team! The shiny rotom is great especially haha. And a joltik would be perfect! Love your choices and their names!
Your thoughts are so sweet, you and your friends have some really nice ideas!! Thank you to you and your friends for sharing them with me!! I’m so glad you like the AUs developed here haha. Hope you and your friends have a great day!! :)

Hello, i was wondering if you still ingo camp camp? I was wondering if you think the show is "bad"? I saw quite a lot of people with mixed feelings about last weeks episode and how Camp camp was trending and i really dont know why?
Oh heck yeah I am hehe! I’m just not as active as before because I’ve been busy with my part time job, sorry :’’)
Well to be honest I have mixed feelings about this new season.
+ : I really love how they improved the animation, it got so smooth and fluid, that’s really impressive and blessing for the eyes! Also the camera’s angles feel more expressive than before, meaning that some shots are worked well to be dynamic, emotive etc! Therefore it helps a lot for the storytelling, and it’s a plus!
- : I feel like the writing is not as good as the first seasons, or the episodes feel too rushed. I mean by this that the episodes should be longer for the plot they intend to make. Of course maybe they couldn’t make longer episodes because of schedule or budget, but that’s too bad because I miss the plots with lighthearted and/or dark humor of the first seasons. It looks like they are trying to give a good moral at the end of each episode like for a children show. I’m pretty sure they didn’t do that before, the episodes ended on a shitty/funny joke? That’s my point of view, but of course I’m not saying I felt this way for all the episodes! ((I’m gonna give some examples undercut so spoilers alert!))
Conclusion: The technique (animation, artistic direction etc) got so much better but there are some flaws in the writing. That’s my opinion, you all have the right to disagree with it. Despite these small disappointments, it didn’t stop me to continue enjoying the show of course! And I’m looking forward to watch more of Camp Camp!
And about the trendy thing, I don’t really know what to think about it. I’ve always been a gremlin enjoying shows in an corner so I never keep up with the fandoms 😂
SPOILER WARNING
- For the episode 8 “After Hours”, I feel like they tried to show too many sides of the characters at once in one episode. I loved the duo Quartermaster and Gwen, but I’d rather see an entire episode with just them to really enjoy the plot. But they tried instead to show David having his own adventure PLUS Cameron trying to deal with the kids PLUS the duo getting food supplies. So don’t get me wrong, I love all of this, but the episode felt too short to really enjoy each part. The episode with the return of Daniel felt so short too, but this post is getting a bit too long, so I’m not gonna develop on this one :’)
- For the episode 12 “The Forest”, oof, this one got me really mitigated. It was really something to see David getting so emotional and expressive and that’s a change! It can be appreciated. But also, this episode felt… off? Like, it doesn’t suit the Camp Camp “spirit”, it was serious all long, there were very few jokes, no twisty humor sparks, only David suffering. And all this to get to the moral “be nice blah blah” (i don’t remember exactly what David said to the end). There was an episode like this in season 1 (”The Order of the Sparrow”), with drama etc. But it was more lighthearted and less off-topic than this one. This episode felt “too real”. Unlike that other episode where the squirrels take over the camp. This one was more like in the Camp Camp “spirit”. That’s why the contrast of “The Forest” got me kinda confused. But also uuuuugh feeliiings- I loved the wolf doggie :’’’’’(((
- For the episodes 6 “Follow the Leader” and 13 “Campfire tales”, well these ones really felt more like in the “spirit”. Simple plot, twisty humor, all the characters are in character, etc. I really enjoyed these ones :)
