like, this exchange isn't going to make the cut because I had to can this whole sub plot, but I get to write it for myself. for me. as a present. a little treat.
#i had to cut all of this out bc its like. this comic wasnt built to handle 4D gender chess discussions#its all subtext in the subplot that DOES exist but this is like a little side story for myself where i turn it up to eleven#there's actually a domestic abuse subtext happening here that marcus is driving home#its the WILL MEN STOP YELLING AT MY DAD IN HIS FUCKING HOUSE of it all#because he's thinking about the last time sulla was over and its just. rich city motherfuckers are all the same. even tho pompeyo is#actually on crasso's side they're just bickering bc that's how they talk to each other#and crasso himself wouldn't actually think of this subtext bc its all transactional business deals to him#again. 4D gender chess#alas. if this was a soap opera AU then i'd keep it in#as it stands the 'politican's wife' comment that people keep leveling crasso with WILL stay in the main story
