#all the shit i said about them being 'perfect allies' was a boldfaced lie#they're the textbook definition of performative allies#as in my mom thinks having gay friends and watching rupaul's drag race is peak allyship#yet on numerous occasions she's been hawking transphobic/homophobic rhetoric (not directly to my face though)#i can't help but wonder what she says about me when i'm not around#honestly i think it would be better for me to be kept in the dark#it doesn't help that her politics have steadily become more right-wing over the past year#i overheard her having one of those live debates on tiktok with other people yet she rags on me for using tiktok too much 🤔#the math ain't mathing beloved#i haven't said much to her about her performative allyship because i know for a fact that she's gonna claim i'm being ungrateful#i'm well aware of the fact that there are tons of other people who have it worse than i do#this is just me venting#imma still do whatever the fuck i want though 🎉#what's cookin' in hell's kitchen?
