( So after the Yamatai-koku event rerun I started understanding the implied plot points way better than I did previously - Or at the very least, I've started to re-read them in a different way than I originally did.
I mainly speak of the ambiguous way in which Nobukatsu's death was played out.
Because I don't want to write a whole essay on it, I'll keep as brief as I can:
The last line we hear from Nobuataksu in his mortal life is "Now it's time for me to die" - and it's said right before he initiates the battle. The next scene we get immediately after is Nobunaga looking super sad and not wanting to see her mother, who immediately storms into the room and calls Nobunaga a monster for forcing her own brother to commit seppuku.
The long and the short of my thought process is this: I think I took that scene too much at face value
I think it's very likely that by the time we reach Nobunaga, Nobukatsu's already dead.
That would make the "Why won't you kill me??" on his servant description would be a lot more tragic and fitting - as he makes the decision for her that he's going to make it look like he took his own life
With that context, the line "I leave the rest up to you, sister" have a ton more impact with the idea that it's his last words
On one hand, I'm afraid like taking responsibility on Nobunaga from how I previously played it is going to look like I'm saying she can do no wrong or something -
but I'm really starting to get attached with this new narrative )
#as if I needed to re-open the wound that is nobukatsu's death but#idk...i feel like this would fit my version of nobu better ?#because if anything mine's way more attached to katsu than any canon version#idk lmk if there are any opinions on this#noble phantasm is charging ( ooc )#suicide cw
