about to write a ten page long think piece on the “trans representation” in tlou2 and how it’s very telling that the trans character in question, lev, a ftm, grew up in a religious cult (sound familiar) where they didn’t allow women and girls to step outside of their traditional norms and roles, punishing and ostracizing them for doing things like shaving their heads to “look like one of the men” and wanting to be a soldier instead of a child bride and wife to some perverted cult elder. like hmm i wonder why a young girl in this position would rather be a boy, it’s such a mystery! it’s much more likely that lev just so happens to “feel like a boy inside” yes this definitely makes much more sense
