🎵 MUSIC NOTE - what is their playlist like? their favourite artists? do you associate a particular song with them?

The music Capt listens to is actually whatever playlists were set up by Grapevine, his communications officer, which consisted mostly of jazz funk. The Captain himself is associated with both songs Ship in a Bottle and Mi Capitán representing both himself and himself as part of November respectively.

🌟 GLOWING STAR - what do they think about when they look at the night sky? is there someone they want to star gaze with?

The Captain is pretty much always looking at the night sky as the space adventurer he is. It represented freedom and wonder. And he's always willing to share it with his crew, but he mostly used to stargaze with his wife. He hasn't and cannot find someone else to fill that specific role beside him again.

🔫 PISTOL - do they trust people easily? how easily will they turn their back to someone? have they been backstabbed before? will they betray someone if given an ultimatum?

He doesn't trust blindly trust people as much as he believes in giving people chances. And that doesn't require letting the person stick around if it comes down to it, if it endangers his crew. And as someone that's worked with ferrying Imposters before, yes, he's had his fair share of backstabbing from those trying to take advantage of his charity. Things are handled, and he continues. He technically goes against Mira all the time because of this. He's the type to stubbornly try and find a different solution entirely to the trolley problem.

So the first piece of art of yours that I saw was the comic where two of Bruce’s kids came out has trans to him and Branch tells him he’s a good dad and Bruce said he wishes their parents were supportive of him.

After that I came upon the one where JD decides to pierce his ear. And ends up with a date with a trucker.

And after that it was your first Floyd/Creek comics where Creek thinks he’s tricking Floyd but Floyd his aware and using him to get expensive stuff!!! It was between those three that I started following you.

While your style has changed since those little comics, I’ve always found your art amazing!!! And funny!!!

I keep coming back for more art and comics. I don’t read most of the asks you get so what ever happens on chapter 14 will probably be a complete surprise for me.

I do have a few questions from those first comics, have you ever considered drawing Bruce before he came out has trans? Maybe a little comic flashback of him coming out to his family? Also why was Branch so surprised? Didn’t he know Bruce was trans? And or was he… wait is Branch a he or a she? I forgot to ask before I didn’t understand in the story, if Branch came out has a boy or a girl. What I was going to say was Branch surprised that he wasn’t the only trans in the family?

As for the JD comic, have you ever considered drawing that date JD had with the trucker troll?

Also I think I once saw a Spotify playlist for Fleek with a cover of Floyd eating sushi from Creek’s back? Did I imagine that? Cause I can’t find that art on either of your twitter accounts.

Speaking of Creek’s back, what does he’s tramp stamp look like?

first of all tysm! thats very kind of you 😊 ill go through em point by point:

1- the comic where branch finds out bruce is trans wasnt related to the tdau at all, it was based on actual canon, so that version of branch wasnt intended to be a trans he/him butch he was just a cis dude. branch didnt know bruce was trans bc he wasnt even a year old at the point of the breakup and bruce had been living solely as a man for years, maybe as young as 13? (he wouldve just decided "can you call me a he? and grandma can you start buying me boy clothes at pop troll walmart?" i dont think he wouldve had the resources available to know what transgender even meant at that point) and never ended up telling branch before the breakup bc... well hes like 6 months old. and he doesnt need to know anything about "spruce"s body. and over the years bruce just kinda forgot that branch didnt know, which is why he mentioned it so casually

2- i did actually draw the troll jd had a date with! his name is clyde (although i think calling him clyde S.D. ale would be cute. like clydesdale, and also ale like the alcohol). this art is old atp so maybe ill give him a fresher coat of paint, just like im planning for jds manic pixie dream rock troll girlfriends who hate him

3- i. yes. yes i did draw floyd eating sushi off creeks back and ass before 😭 based off a very good screenshot from captain laserhawk with rayman eating sushi off a cow woman. i drew it twice in fact, with the second being a redraw. here are both of them

i considered redrawing it a third time bc i massively overhauled how i drew trolls but i think if i keep doing it itll stop being funny

4- creeks (NON CANON) tramp stamp, i think would be ocean themed with seashells and waves. maybe ill design creeks tramp stamp today, but again its NOT CANON its not actually a thing in the tdau. unless alex wants it to be

i had a fun time making this playlist! i hope some of the songs fit, or that at least some of the songs are enjoyable to listen too! i’m going to post the link right after this post, for easy rebloggablity and taggablity!

as for your question! i’m assuming you mean a mindswap/bodyswap sort of thing? or do you mean, like, a mind/personality thing where they just have the other one’s personality?

the second option is actually sort of a thing in a future book! (is this me admitting that i have a good seven game duos planned out already? maybe, maybe, maybe) they go by different names at that point, though, and i really, really like the idea of a mind swap what if….so!

Blue And Bolte: the first thing that Blue thinks is holy shit i hurt and i’m hungry and i’m tired, how is this asshole still standing? and then he promptly sits down because holy shit he’s tired and hungry and what the hell is going on with his leg and his hip? and then the EXP rush hits him and the pain in his HEART hits him and his mind just sort of goes into this over drive flip-flop because it sort of changes a lot of the things he’s been thinking about Bolte, you know? and also, how is Bolte still up and doing all this stuff???

and Bolte’s first thought is that he is so, so short and this is maybe the most inconvenient thing to ever happen to him, and then he goes to stand up and realizes that the only thing that hurts is this strip across his chest (but there’s no scar there, what?) and he feels so powerless, so out of sorts. they have the toughest time of it, because Blue can’t just hide away in the house during their mind swap. Bolte’s job has to be done, no matter what, and even if they let Captain in on the secret, Blue’s still going to end up doing a lot of things that he doesnt want to do.

Captain tries to help, giving him some of the easier jobs, pointers, telling some stories about Bolte’s issues so that maybe Blue can deal with them easier. and - it’s not good, you know? those stories really flip everything that Blue had been thinking on end, but even worse - even worse is the stuff that he has to do, you know, because the only person Blue’s ever had to fight is Aba, and that path’s already set in stone, only two outcomes, ever. 

so. it’s a lot Blue has to try and deal with. makes him real sick in the HEART. and then there’s Bolte, who can’t go do any of it, who feels useless and frustrated, because not only is Red gone, but now this? and to make matters worse, he has to put up with that stupid bard clinging to him and cavorting with him? no new perspectives on this route until Bolte starts having nightmares with Blue’s memories, all the times Blue’s died, all the times Locke and Aba have died.

and that rattles him. 

a lot.

Locke and Red: Locke’s HEART is heavy and his head hurts and the first time his vision goes out is terrifying, you know? Red keeps tripping over newly too long legs, and it might be the first time in forever that he’s felt good and had so much energy but

it’s like a sudden revelation of a lot of secrets, biggest of which is: you remember too? and then secondly is the fact that, hey, wait, Locke has a Level, and, heh, what’s this about a plan, creampuff? i don’t know red, what’s this about drinking yourself to death?

so basically, where Blue and Bolte sort of break a little bit more and then have to figure out how to pull themselves together, Red and Locke have a sudden unraveling of secrets and then just. pick each other up and start changing things. Locke has someone right from the start ready to help him stop the time loops, and Red’s finally got someone who right off the bat is ready to help him figure out how to chase away those useless feelings and figure out how to do something even with his limited health and magic.

in a kinder world, they’re both able to heal wounds and then build up stronger.
