Little addition: many simblrs who are WCIF unfriendly also will not be open to doing creator recommendations (asking them to do this is basically a WCIF in a different format). By and large, if you want creator recommendations you should go to blogs who are WCIF friendly or who have explicitly stated they'll do creator recommendations/have done recommendations in the past.

I've been meaning to make this post for a while because there are always arguments and frustrations regarding WCIFs here on simblr. With new users and simblrs popping up every day, I thought it wise to take a few minutes to inform people on this topic as some people really might not even know what WCIF means or what the universally acceptable way to approach WCIF asks is.

WCIF is shorthand for "where can I find..."

If you are a simblr, it is a good idea to clarify in your blog's bio if you are open to messages asking about cc, that way people visiting your blog don't have to guess. You can indicate this by saying you are either WCIF Friendly or WCIF Unfriendly/No WCIFs. If someone is WCIF friendly, it means that they welcome messages in their ask box regarding where to find a certain mod, piece of cc, etc. If someone is WCIF unfriendly, this means they do not welcome messages in their ask box of this nature.

When someone is WCIF unfriendly, you should respect their terms and boundaries by not sending them a message asking where to find something for the sims. Yes, this means even "well-intended" asks that are ultra polite are not welcome to them (which is perfectly okay). Instead, first check if the user has a "CC Finds" sideblog where they reblog the cc they use.

If they don't have a "CC Finds" blog where they essentially archive the cc they use, you can make a post on your own blog with a screenshot (with a link to the original post) and/or a description of the cc you're looking for and tag it as public wcif, this way people can respond if they know what the mod or cc is. There are also reddit threads for sims 4 wcifs you can post on. If you don't want to do any of that, try googling it by description! You'd be surprised how intuitive the results can be.

On the other hand, if someone is WCIF friendly they are open to helping you find a specific piece of cc for the sims, but you should always send them a WCIF in their ask box, not through a private message or a comment on their post. This is so they can make one public post and avoid inquiries about the same cc over and over again. They will likely tag these posts on their page as "WCIF," so be sure to check their tags before you ask them about a piece of cc because they might have already linked to it in a different ask!

It should go without saying, but even though someone is WCIF friendly this doesn't mean you can disregard kindness when it comes to asking someone a favor. Say hi, ask politely (please and thank you go a long way ya know!), and be patient. People who are wcif friendly choose to take their time to link cc for others, so they're doing you a favor...be nice!

I think I covered the basics as simply as I could; the most important thing is to remember that there are real people on the other side of simblr blogs, and whether they have 13,000 followers or 3 they deserve to be respected. Just be kind and respect people's boundaries. I hope this helps someone, and if you didn't know about any of this... now you know! 👍

Hello and welcome back to my blog! I'm currently playing in a world where I have a retirement home for all my elder sims. It includes an in-house clinic and a nurse (usually a young adult) who takes care of their needs, such as cooking and cleaning. I decided to create a new one especially for those who enjoys roleplaying and have set this lot to residential to make it playable.

Aside from the in-house clinic, I have also included a reception room where clients can inquire or 'reserve' a room. If you aren't into roleplaying, you can always change those rooms as you see fit and I mostly added some décor to those rooms anyway or a bookshelf to keep them busy. There are five bedrooms upstairs, an elevator to make it easy for elders to travel and the rooms can accommodate at least 10 Sims. One of the bedrooms is a VIP suite with its own sitting area, which you can change to add more beds if desired. I also placed a small button in each bathroom that functions as a doorbell (cloned from a callbox from ATS3) and this is intended as a call button in case of an 'accident' or if assistance from the onsite nurse is needed. Due to Tumblr's link limitations, I’ve created another WCIF Pt. 2 and please click the links above or go to WCIF Navigation page for easier access, as it is still listed there. 📣Please note that the store content and CC included in the lot are not included on the download file. My blog is very WCIF-friendly and I will always compile a list for those interested in downloading them separately. I have listed Supernatural above for the packs needed due to one CC mimics or cloned a Supernatural painting as a curtain so it is supposed to close around 6PM. I haven't tested that yet and as it is a décor item, this expansion pack isn't really required just take note of the build items used for this lot to show in your game. There is one CC for which I was unable to locate the original link or find information about the creator. I checked the description of the item in the game itself and the package file but it only shows 'MedicalScales' as the info. As a result, I cannot share or re-upload it without knowing the creator's TOU. For reference, it is shown in the pictures above located in the in-house clinic next to the desk. If anyone knows the creator’s name or has any download links, please let me know in the comments! You can download the ATS3 Digital Scale as a replacement for this item and I know I should have used that but I preferred the old one for this lot. My name is Sapphire, and I've been playing the Sims since 2000. I started making custom content for The Sims 4 in 2015 and started sharing my creations in 2016. This is something I do for fun, not for profit, so my CC will always be free and without ads. New updates will be added when I feel like it, and not based on a regular schedule.

I make custom content primarily for myself, for my own characters and gameplay. It's rare that I'll make something with the sole objective of it being publicly-consumed content. As a result, things that I share on this blog may contain swatches that are unique and specific to my characters and builds. If you don't like that, then I suggest you look elsewhere for custom content that more adequately meets your needs.

I am not doing any more CC or build requests - both of those take a lot of time, and I've come to realize that doing specific things for people for free is actually a thankless and draining process. I make recolours, mesh edits, tuning mods and overrides, and I may also share builds and sims from time to time. I'm always learning new things, and I like to experiment, so if you're looking for something boring and cookie-cutter, this is not the place to find it.

I have been playing the sims for only about seven years, but have been a fan of the franchise for a long time. In my day to day life I am a writer who has been struggling with their creativity, so I thought I'd try another outlet and see where it takes me :)

SOME THINGS:

I do tend to change my mind in terms of challenges and families I'm playing, but I will try my very best to stick with the same for as long as I can!

I have a lot of CC in my game so I'm not sure how helpful I can be with WCIF's, but if you have any questions I will absolutely do my best to answer them!

I'm massively obsessed with the occult and the supernatural so a lot of my gameplay will center around that.

Although I've had this account for about a month now, I guess I can still be considered a "new simblr" because I'm relatively small, and when I did this the first time Tumblr didn't show me in tags so I didn't get any reach... So here we go again!

I am a heavy modder and CC user, and use maxis-mix CC. I would consider my gameplay style cozy and I usually play happy family dynamics. However, I'm very open minded and love to see other gameplay styles!

I (used to) play sims on a 2020 Macbook and have taken years to work out how to make it run decently with minimal lag and good graphics. Now I play on a shitty Lenovo Z13 ThinkPad which gives me the ability to use shaders! NOW I play on an Asus Zenbook 14 which is amazing!! (Let’s ignore that I went through 3 computers since I’ve had this account)

Sims In Bloom: Generation 1 Pt. 1 (Meet the Founder!)

When you play a challenge in The Sims 4 that ignites your imagination but is supposed to be fun (so why am I plotting generations like this is a real novel?!), you figure out how to use Tumblr to share it because you've officially put in too much effort for it to be a little word doc on your laptop and you actually can't get over how pretty this game is, even with the most basic graphics card on earth.

Gen 1 is a breeze compared to Gen 2, so enjoy the casual fun gameplay while it lasts... (And no, I'm not great at gameplay screenshots, thanks in advance for not caring! It gets better by Gen 2 but not incredible or anything.)

Daisy Darden took some time after high school to decide what she wanted to do with her life. She ultimately chose to return to the home she lived in before her grandmother's death – a quaint village cottage at 5 Cobblebottom Street in Henford-on-Bagley. Raised by the old woman after her parents were killed in a car crash when she was a baby, Daisy was young when her grandmother died too, tossed into the foster system with nowhere to call home.

But the deed was still in the family name and Daisy was the only descendant. She hoped to find success as a gardener in one of the greenest towns in Simlandia, but more than anything she wanted to find the family she was robbed of as a little girl.

Despite everything she’d been through, she was optimistic and smiled when she thought about her future.

Not long after her arrival, she met Henford civil designer Neal Nesbitt, who made her feel things she'd never felt for a man before. He thought she was beautiful, and they loved spending time together outdoors, commiserating over Henford's often-rainy weather. Their connection was deep and immediate, and a daytrip to the city for a comedy festival let Neal see his cheerful girl in her element.

Already stressed by political red-tape at work, then the roof burst at his cottage north of town. During the repair, Daisy let him stay with her. Content to be alone after the shock death of his parents to a pandemic flu when he was just out of high school, Daisy made Neal feel at ease. He never wanted to leave, and he moved in for good before the repairs on his house were complete. That's when Daisy discovered his parents had been well off, leaving them more than enough to live comfortably as they began their life together. Daisy never cared about money, but she was grateful not to have to struggle after so many years of hardship.

To cope with her years in the foster system, Daisy had taken up meditation as a teen, guiding her mind to a place of calm despite the tumult in her life. It also helped her find literal balance, as she’d always been a bit clumsy. She stocked her kitchen with the cheapest dishes imaginable because she was always breaking them in the sink! When she wasn't tending to Henford's many beautiful green gardens, including her own, she was helping residents from Henford and beyond with guided meditation sessions in-person and online.

Neal and Daisy found themselves expecting after just a few months, but a blissful babymoon in Granite Falls convinced Neal he'd met the woman he wanted to spend his life with. He and Daisy were young but determined to make a good life for themselves and their child. They eloped in Oasis Springs on the way home, just months before the birth of their daughter, Heather. Even though she had to be induced and it went against Daisy's hopes for a natural home birth, that Heather was healthy was all that mattered.

Dog-lover Neal brought home a rescue, but even with the chaos of new parenthood, the smart, friendly sheepdog named Ralph fit with their little family perfectly.
